Lots of questions have been raised about this, including different forum features, mobile version etc, but I think the Admins priorities are something else. Perhaps the security of the forum or something like that. This is why I am saying such flashy features might just be ignored.
I'm also not sure if this proposal will be accepted or considered. But history says that those who can adapt will survive.
This is just an opinion. It's also not appropriate for a newbie to talk a lotIt is not about smart phones but about inconvenience when you have to type text for your posts on smart phones, without key boards and with limited screen size. If you type a short post, it can be usable but if it is a long post, it becomes a problem.
Clearly, lengthy of a post does not automatically cause it zero, low or high quality.
I think if there is an application then you are not prohibited from writing on the website. like Quora, it has an app and a web version. That Quora is a question and answer platform so answers can be more than 1,000 characters. In bitcointalk, we only write about 100-200 characters. The app also makes it simple to check notifications when you're outside Security of your device is another problem. If I have choice, I don't install many applications on my device. In addition, it can harm your privacy too as applications can trace your activities. Do you mean that PC/Laptops are safer than mobile devices? Another old and repeatedly question/ suggestion. I think this only trick, not own app. or maybe theymos refuse to make an app for bitcointalk? About an application, mobile application for bitcointalk forum, it is unnecessary in my opinion. Maybe young users will like applications as they can ask for applications everywhere.
I think in the future there will be more new users. Innovation needs to be done, or it will be abandoned Old school guys might think different including me. - We don't need to install too many applications on our devices. First, waste of device resource. Second, it contains more risky security.
- Most important, the forum is a text-based one for text discussions so I am not feel convenient when typing on my phones.
10 years ago, we didn't think there would be smartphones. 10 years later we don't know what will happen. Maybe people will use smartphones more for typing...

Some members in the community will complain that those new board icons make the forum like a circus. The forum is kind of for old school style and they don't like cartoons, animations and colorful things. I am not against your idea but with my experience here, I think it will not be supported by community.
It's not important and admins won't be ready to spend time doing this.
Yeah, maybe this is an unimportant suggestion. Old school impression is very visible. But seeing that times are changing, a new generation will grow, many websites have changed the user interface to make it more trendy. I would also like to propose that bitcointalk has own app |

Absolutely, merits bothers people on this forum so much when they can use the copper membership to enjoy the forum.
I have been here since 2017, with the copper member I'm able to run my services here. What more could I ask for? Just use the forum without being obsessed about merits and if you happen to get any, then it's fine.

I see the logo on the left of the board and the subboard looks like a triangle. Would it be more interesting if it was changed? Like the BTC logo for bitcoin and other logo for another board and subboard. Can administrators do that?

Yah memprioritaskan menambah wawasan dengan lebih banyak membaca merupakan langkah yang tepat gan. Karena tulisan berkualitas juga bisa dihasilkan karena sang penulis memiliki cukup wawasan yang bisa ia tuangkan kedalam tulisan. Tapi terkadang sebagian orang harus memiliki tujuan untuk bisa mendorong semangat dan lebih giat dalam belajar. Kecuali jika niat bergabung ke forum ini memang hanya untuk belajar maka pastinya naik rank tidak akan menjadi tujuan.
Masa si gan ada yang tidak memili tujuan untuk menaikan rank? saya sendiri awalnya tidak berharap lebih, tapi setelah baca-baca malah jadi pengen cepet naik rank biar bisa ikutan kampanye signature. Saya kira ilusi kalo ada member disini yang tidak mengharapkan naik rank dan hanya belajar. Termasuk belajar di pendidikan seperti SD, SMP, SMA, Perguruang tinggi semuanya juga memiliki tujuan untuk kehidupan yang lebih baik (simple-nya sebuah pekerjaan) Saya sudah cukup banyak membaca di forum ini, dan ternyata banyak sekali member yang tidak aktif lagi sekarang. As a beginner, it seems I need a special place, such as:
1. Test creating a post
2. Test make a post with special characters like (quote, color, insert code, font, etc)
2. Test make a quote in the comments
3. Test make multi quote in the comments
4. Others
Or Archival is a theard dedicated to test posting?
