Op this forum isn't a do or die affair, the primary purpose of this forum is to learn, teach, ask ... About Bitcoin and other crypto assets so the idea of merit for survival is wrong. Besides, the only benefit of merit is to rank up which can make you qualify for signature campaigns. However your survival here only depends on your ability to obey the forum rules, aside that there is nothing required of you to do that will keep your account in a good condition here in this forum. If this same scam attempt happens to your friend, it point to one obvious assumption that the scammer me be from a close friend or someone close to you guys.
The best way to handle such acam attempt is to call the person on phone to speak with them, don't send money to strangers, we should be smart enough, in fact, such scam attempts are from within for them to have gotten vital information about your mum to be able to convince you to look for the money show how deep and close the scammer is, but just as I said always verify any call or text from a family member by calling to hear from them personally by all means possible.

Op you sound like someone who really believe in the coin before it's price start depreciating, anyway sorry for your loss. Memecoin are the trending coins in this era, but the problem is, after attaining a good height in price, they tend to turn backwards or crash to price zero. I have not tried investing in meme coins not to even talk of other altcoins, the risk associated is not worth trying for me. However I don't think there is any hope of dogecoin regaining it's price to ATH any time sooner, but if you still feel like investing in memecoin I'll advise you look for another one.

let say it could be as short as few hours to the most as in a month or so. But let say you want to be trading daily and thus probably don't want to hold a coin more than a week or so and just want to lock in profits if they have a target price for each altcoin or memecoin you buy. Do lot of people do this? Now obviously if you want to make money short term, this wouldn't be possible if the crypto market is going down right? Thus if btc is going down a lot, pretty much all altcoins follow right? Very few altcoins go up when bitcoin goes down. However, I recall many of these memecoins don't exactly follow bitcoin''s price going up or down right? I'm talking about those memecoins that show up and then probably are gone within few weeks. Now these memecoins are all frauds right? I forgot the exact term that is used for these but it's when creator of a coin puts it and then people buy and then the price drops... what's the term for this? But even if you buy those coins and then sell when you make a profit, it's fine right as long as you don't hold these coins at the end when price falls?
Op the market doesn't work that way, investment in crypto is something that we cannot tell for sure where the price is going and so, no one can make a complete 100% prediction all the time. However investment in just an hour would not give you any weighty profit, even investment for a week is under probability as some times, the price of a coin just move in a side ways trend, leaving you with no or very little profits or loss. I appreciate you know about how memecoins can be funny some times, they're very risky to invest in and they require some skill for trading. Meaning, those investing in such coins watch the market more often than those into Bitcoin or some good crypto. Op if you are thinking of going into altcoin investment I'll advise that you should be careful not to put in too much for investment, except you decide to hold top coin like Bitcoin then you can put in some good amount using DCA. |

I don't really follow the pleasing ads from social media influencer because, even they themselves no how difficult it is to make good wins from gambling yet, they make everything look very simple and easy to make wins win. Just yesterday I was watching a celebrity making ads on a gambling casino, though at first he made the wining look really easy but at the last part of the video he said we should gamble responsibliy and instead of making his win bigger he just took 1.3 odds and said " if you keep gambling on this odd, you are like to more wins with low chances of making loss" so he was deliberating on greedy gambling. However the lesson he taught was a good one, and I never regretted of watching that video.

Wow, op that is a pretty good looking portfolio you have there, those coin you pick are quite profitable, but above all the coins you're holding, I still find your portfolio not complete ad Bitcoin is not mentioned above. The coins you mentioned are all altcoins and I think bitcoin should be the first choice of your investment portfolio, because it can be profitable for both short term and long term investment, though it not as volatile as other altcoins but, the higher the volatility the higher the chances of either making more profit or experiencing massive loss. Op I recommend bitcoin to be added to your crypto portfolio, we would be experiencing the bull run next year and that would be an exciting experience with profits added to your holding, even if it might not give you the 10x profit you desire, but atleast you invested in the world most trusted cryptocurrency.

The feeling of regrets are just temporary feeling to me, and they come to existence when i check my yearly transaction history and see the amount I have lost so far. Despite the wins I still feel if I have put those money into Bitcoin investment I would have made some profits rather than loss. However I see no need to grief for my losses most times because make some wins also that can cover for the monthly loss, and the key factor is that I don't gamble irresponsible. I have all my holding on Bitcoin so all transaction are being done with it, despite the transaction fees, I still find it convenient to use. But there are other alternative that could be used in this situation of mempool congestion leading to increase in transaction fees. Even those using only bitcoin could swap to a coin that uses lower transaction fee when they are about to make transaction to escape from the high transaction fees. Op since you are comfortable using Litecoin fro transaction I advise you stick to what's good for you, rather than looking for any alternative that might not suite you.

Taking profit from an altcoin after you are satisfied from the return it gave you is something that should be appreciated, besides we don get to see this kind of offers everyday.
