solo mining does not seem to be working ...
ive just tested similar coins - and they seem to work - but im having issues with verge ...
has anyone solo mined verge? ... if so - how did you setup? ...
edit ... i got it working ... apparently the wallet .conf search is case sensitive - and requires the .conf to be saved as VERGE.conf - as opposed to what i had verge.conf ( in lowercase ) ...
solo mining running smooth currently - lets see how we go with the different algos ... still looking for the list of algos ...

Dont worry about mining blake or x17 until the new wallet is out there not working correctly the otheres are scrypt/groestl and lyra2REv2 tanx mate ... i just anted to test - and see what the best intensity settigns are for each of the algos ... scrypt is always the difficult one - as there are no 'standard' settings for ccminer on scrypt ... and i have no idea how to set the optimum paramters for scrypt also - as it has certain paramters that are not doculented ( like lauch settings for example ) ... either way - x17 seems to work - as does lyra2v2 and scrypt ... but i have had no success with ANY accepted shares as yet with any of the algos ... but then - im not mining for a long time on each anyway  ... blake is blake2s - which is different to the standard blake implementation - and groestl is myr-groestl - again a different to the standard implementation of groestl ... hence the reason why i needed specifics on the port and algos ... i must say though - even with the limited testing and time i have - its runnign really well ... #crysx Yeah kool i just took the names from Devs post at the top of page 141 in the thread , but the other algos x17 and blake2s aren't working correctly and dev said with the next update that will be rectified !! |

on the price note.... My thoughts are that $XVG is very profitable for miners, coinwarz.com usually Verge at the top of the list lately.
During this time of mass mining there is also those miners who wish to just mine and sell. It is a good opportunity for $XVG as we are decentralizing on a grander scale.
I just checked out coinwarz and dont use them as a reliable source of mining profitability , they are showing incorrect difficulty , they arent showing the nethash rate so there calculation for profitability is way way out !!! |

the new wallet will be released soon, not the 350k block though. hopefully ill have it out within a couple of days.  Awesome! looking forward to trying x17 mining. Have a great weekend Dev! Just Downloaded the Windows 7 wallet and sent some coin to it from my on-line wallet all went smooth. BUT why at the bottom of my wallet it says "Warning this version is obsolete upgrade required" where you download the wallet..? can you share your version wallet? I downloaded from http://vergecurrency.comVersion says 2.0.0.0 the last block is 350616 https://www.blockexperts.com/xvgcan you ceck your wallet ? also ceck your timezone yep its right that warning just ignore it , on the wallet update that wont be there !! |

Everyone should withdraw all coins of any kind from safecex.com right now.
They have a warning at their login screen saying
they have server problems
and will be shutting down soon for a month.
They're giving everyone a chance to withdraw right now.
I just did.
Otherwise they said you wont have access to your money again until it re-opens (if it re-opens)...

any idea when android wallet will be back up
working on it now just realized we're halving in ~ a month  this was a good time to go multi algo.. mining will still be easy after the halving.. We will also add Verge to https://btcpool.exchange , we are rebuilding the trade engine and testing at the moment , its been a long process for myself and pjcltd but we are at the final stage , we are small but know the long road to build a GOOD, HONEST exchange!! |

it is frustrating now that the XVG coin and network is operating smoothly and the blcokchain hangs are a thing of the past.....people are selling off cheap. Go figure. I had and expectation of this happening , weak hands and the so on , let the dust settle once everything settles it will correct !! So just pick up what you can at the awesome ridiculous prices !!
