The chelsea really has a tough draw in this season's start! In the next 6 Premier League games will play against: Totthenham away, Everton, Leicester away, Arsenal and Manchester City (+ 2 matches in the Champions League). At the end of September it could already have a high gap from the top spot!
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Europa League/Champions League Lounge on: August 17, 2017, 10:24:24 AM
I try  an easy double-up today in Europa League:

Ac Milan vs Shkendija: Milan at home should win easily with at least 2 goals of difference
Handicap -1 Win  Milan at quote@1.40

Everton vs Hajduk Split: Everton at home is always a very solid team and should win easily against a weak team.
WIN Everton at quote@1.30

Domzale vs Marseille: Marseille won the first 2 games in ligue 1 with 0 goals suffered.
DOUBLE CHANCE X2 at quote@1.10

Pep Segura, General Manager of Barcelona, said Barcelona is very close to Dembele and Coutinho!
The budget for to buy these 2 players is about 200M.
1004  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 16, 2017, 11:05:43 PM
Amazing Real Madrid without CR7 and Bale still won (2-0) for a total of 5-1. Asensio did 1 spectacular goal, he is a great talent.
Barcelona is surely frustrated not to be able to counter its biggest rivals.
Now Barcelona must to buy 2 big players to reduce the gap.

Standing MotoGP after 11 of 18 races:

1)Marquez     174    gap
2)Dovizioso   158     -16
3)Vinales       150     -24
4)Rossi           141    -33
5)Pedrosa      139    -35

6)Zarco          99     -75
7)Lorenzo      79     -95
8 )Folger        77     -97
9)Crutchlow   76     -98
10)Petrucci     75    -99

Marquez at this point seems to be the big favorite for the championship win. Vinales and Rossi must win in next GP at Silverstone (August 27) if they want to fight for the championship.

Incredible A.Zverev is already out of the Cincinnati tournament.
So many absences and renunciations in this tournament. For me there are 3 favorites: Nadal, Del potro and Thiem.
Despite this elimination A. Zverev should make his best ranking (sixth) unless if Thiem wins the tournament (in that case Thiem would be sixth and make him his best ranking)
1007  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 16, 2017, 09:46:56 PM
Bakayoko is an upgrade on Matic, Chelsea will be fine. They've spent a lot of money on Rudiger & Morata too. I don't expect the loss of Matic to hit them too hard.
Before you make that assumption we will have to see how he fares first and make any decision, remember not any player is able to play in the English Premier League,  world class players have tried and failed and is he going to play with the same zeal and tenacity such as Nemanja Matic,  that remains to be seen.

Conte wants (and needs) at least 2-3 new players to expand his team. He would like some of these players: Drinkwater (leicester) Alex Sandro (juventus) Belotti (Torino) Van Dijk (Southampton), Oxlade-Chamberlain (Arsenal). Its budget is about 150M

If you still ask me to make a screenshot on BBC, this is a screenshot that's all empty because I did not make predictions on the BBC.

OK. That's all I wanted to confirm. We will credit you with the points you would have earned. Please make sure to submit your predictions to the BBC site which you can do now for this weeks games.

Add his points next year on last round.
It looks like honest mistake and misunderstanding.
(If he didn't edit post, of course.)

I've already said I would do this if he provided proof which he has now done.

It's hahay's fault for not carefully reading the thread.  He's the only guy here who made that mistake so it's pretty clear the rules shouldn't be bent just for you.

It was an honest misunderstanding so I don't think he should be penalised for it and it does no harm crediting him the points so everyone is happy.

For me it's ok to add points to him.
Guys this experiment of this pool betting is very interesting, let's have fun!

Villarreal are willing to 2,5 million euro to borrow AC Milan player Carlos Bacca for one year with option
if Villarreal want to permanently the status being they player then they have to pay 15,5 million euro at the end of season

Now that Bacca went to Villareal, and Fiorentina bought Simeone jr., it is almost certain that Milan will buy Kalinic from Fiorentina.

Celtic (5-0), Napoli(2-0), Apoel (2-0), Sevilla (2-1 away), Liverpool (2-1 away), Cska (1-0 away) have great chances of qualifying for groups!

I just heard on TV an unofficial news that Roger Federer has withdraw from Cincinnati Masters. On yesterdays match commentator noticed that Rogers first service is much slower than usually and that it looks like he has some problem with the shoulder. Since US Open is very close, resting would be good decision.
Its official now , he withdrew from Cincinnati and therefore Nadal is the new no.1 . Who would have expected this ? I just hope he will be fit and fine by the time US open starts off . Lets go Nadal now for Cincinnati cup Smiley

Yes, Nadal (at least 7475 points) after 3 years ( 6 July 2014) will be the new No.1!
While Murray(7150 points) will be second with 5 points advantage over Federer(7145 points).

1013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: August 14, 2017, 02:36:11 PM
I do not know, initially I predicted Juventus would win, but see their game, they are very soft, they do not show the champions mentality, they play unlike Juventus. Lazio deserved to win. Victory is important, trophy is important for lazio.
Not only you, i'm shocked too knowing lazio can win italian super cup against juventus. it's unpredictable because lazio have lose some player and juventus buy some player for made their team become strong.

Lazio's victory is striking and especially the 3 goals scored! Juventus against Lazio had only just 3 goals in total in the 14 previous direct clashes against lazio.
I think without Bonucci the defense of Juventus is very vulnerable!
For me, this game has shown that Juventus is no stronger than the opponents in Serie A.
1014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 14, 2017, 02:26:44 PM
I cant see any other scenario than Madrids win.
Barca lost Neymar this summer and he was a key player in this team. Moreover, Real Madrid are in a very good shape atm and Zidane knows how to win Barca.
If you are currently watching today's game, you will notice that though Barcelona are clearly dominating the game with regards to possession as usual but Real Madrid are clearly making inroads into their defence with more shots on goals, but with the magical Messi in the game, things can change very quickly.

The result matches my expectations, Real Madrid won. But the referee's performance needs to be evaluated. Especially because they've made mistakes, and there are two very big mistakes, namely diving Suarez and Ronaldo's red card. Suarez is clearly diving but the referee gives a penalty kick. Then Ronaldo's red card, I do not think it's an offense, but it's not a diving from Ronaldo either. Ronaldo lost the balance, then there was little contact from Umtiti, Umtiti did not commit a foul, but Ronaldo will indeed fall. The loss for Real Madrid should be without Ronaldo in the next game.

Althought the red card to Ronaldo, Real madrid made it and won 3-1 in the first EL Clasico of the season.
Now Im raising my bet on Real Madrid to win the league.

Ronaldo did the biggest mistake in the game when he removed off his shirt..

I mean, he probably knew that it is going to cause him to receive a yellow card, what was the reason to do that?

Anyway Barcelona played well, Real scored when Barcelona's defense was away from the goal keeper.
Real Madrid is going to the !laLiga board to demand the removal of the second yellow card that Cristiano had and they need to do that because Cristiano will get 5 games suspention after he pushed the ref after getting the second yellow card so he wil miss the second leg of the Super also the first four games in the league so they have to demand the removal of the second card if they want him not getting puished . and the Spanish board may help Real Madrid this time because to be honest the referee performance was very low he gave Barcelona a questionable Penalty kick also Cristiano second yellow was little bit harsh Ronaldo wlost his balance and there was some small balance with umtiti there was not defintly a faul but there was no use for a yellow

5 suspension matches is an absurd punishment for a red card, wrong.
Maybe they want to penalize the real madrid because it is significantly stronger than the opponents and want to try to balance the Liga.
Surely the CR7 reaction is wrong but justified by the error of evaluation.

Nicely done on Week 1 for those 120 pointers!

I got killed in this first round by attempting shock results for the wrong teams... a Man Utd draw, a Newcastle upset for example. Even my own Liverpool confounded me by being much of the same they were last season. Lessons learnt? A team's pre-season is not indicative of opening day performance. Anyone else think the doomsday cultists are starting a bit too early on Chelsea?

I suppose this is extra proof of why I should keep my day job Wink

Sometimes it's worth the gamble on shock results because there's rarely a week where everything will go as expected. There's usually always shockers on the first weeks games as well. It doesn't matter if you haven't got many points especially at this stage of the season because a couple of correct score predictions will take you to the top. People wont have the same luck throughout the season either and everyone will have bad weeks so expect the table to fluctuate wildly but maybe some solid tipsters will appear gradually.

And yeah, it's obviously too early to write Chelsea off, though losing to Burnley at Stamford Bridge is pretty embarrassing.

I was looking at the total points leaderboard of everyone who is participating on the BBC site and there's two users joint top with 230 points (out of 116869 users).

This week was really hard, there were 3 impossible results to predict: liverpool draw, and defeats at home, for chelsea and crystal palace!

Good luck to everyone throughout the season!

Disastrous the Yamaha of Vinales and V. Rossi lose so many points today

Manchester united made 2 big purchases with Matic and Lukaku, they are 2 explosive players. Now Mourinho has a team that can really win the Premier League.

Today there is the Italian Super Cup Juventus vs Lazio. Lazio is without Felipe Anderson and Keita (who will most likely be a new Juventus player).
Juventus has all its best players.
So, Juventus is definitely the favorite and his win at quote@1.80 is really very high!
1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: August 13, 2017, 09:25:44 AM
Yesterday 2 surprising results (liverpool 3-3 and Chelsea lost 3-2). Today, however, I expect Manchester United and Tottenham to win without any problems.
Chelsea can still win the Premier League this year but must buy at least 2-3 players because it currently has few players for a season of at least 60 matches!
