Anyone here to buy BTM?

You could sell your coins on tradesatoshi until cryptopia lists BTM: https://tradesatoshi.com/Exchange/?market=BTM_BTC

@Dev :

did you INFORM all your Users that you get 2.5 Coins per Block for free ?
AND your Premine ! ........

what would you do with that Coins ? Miners works for you and Get 50 Coins on Solo . you get 2.5 Coins ( 5% ) EVERY Block for nothing .

Thats DEVs Address :
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/linx/address.dws?XF7kCcs4woQD9WWnCHuN6SWPeUNK2fBspr.htm

Looking good to fill up his Bag

let me calculate a lil :
1min Blocktime est 1440 Coins per Day
seems 3600 LINX per Day for Dev for FREE !..... no Hardware , no Powersource, nothing but pure COins every Day
thats @0,25 USD = 900 Bucks on ONE Day ...

make your own Decisions !

Hi Glen,

Sorry to hear you feel that way, but just for clarification, the dev fee does not affect the miners block reward or any pool fees at all.

To date, this project has been entirely self financed (this is not an ICO).

Contrary to what you've stated, we're sure that everybody holding Linx is aware of our plans, and would want to know that the project is adequately funded going forward.

Due to your response, one can only assume that you are also adverse to DASH, ZCASH etc, any of the hundreds of ICO's in crypto space, or any coin that has more than a 1% premine?

FYI Even with this dev fee, the total amount of Linx we will have received by the year 2030, including our 1% premine, will still be less than 5% of the entire supply.

Glen has a point here, the premine is currently worth $263'321 (according to cmc).
As now an additional devfee was necessary, me too wonders where or what for the premine has been spent so that you now need new ways of financing the operation.
I am absolutely aware that running a coin network with nodes, website, explorer and adding to exchanges costs some money but as far as my experience tells this should be more than nicely covered by the premine of 1 mio Linx so far.

I just woke up... I still have an old wallet from 2014 and figured out here was/were some forks.
Any further instructions for me?

Thanks  Smiley

Wallet is synched but the transactions are not being comfimed.

Did you download the new wallet from the OP or are you trying to sync the old wallet?

I downloaded the new V2 wallet.

I can't currently see any reason for your problem, blocks are mined regulary and we see transactions in about every second block (despite the coinbase transactions for the block reward).

You might want to check your debug.log for hints as why your tx(s) do not go out to the network or why you're not seeing the getting confirmed.

Maybe you can also check your txid in the block explorer.

Coinhouse response:

Well it a bug in the wallet getbalance rpc command doesn't work

Anyone else experience this issue?

Cheers

Graham

Nope, works just fine here:

Code:
time slimcoind getbalance
xxxxx.67799000

real    0m0.053s
user    0m0.007s
sys     0m0.005s

I'm tempted to bet on them having staking on...

Hey, coinexchange.io devs!
I see you have problems with SPAMHAUS?
I also cann't open this site directly by IP links:
Quote
>nslookup coinexchange.io dns1.registrar-servers.com
Server: dns1.namecheaphosting.com
Address: 216.87.155.33

Name: coinexchange.io
Addresses: 45.60.46.219, 45.60.52.219
Quote
https://45.60.46.219/ -> Error code 22
https://45.60.52.219/ -> Error code 22

Do you have TOR-mirror in .onion domain?

You most probably can't access the site directly by IP, your browser needs to send the proper servername.
Therefor the only choice you have is adding the above IPs to your hosts file as outlined by another poster earlier.
1007  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinexchange.io - Reviews on: January 20, 2018, 10:08:47 AM
Seems like a bigger problem, the domain has been blocked/suspended by nic.io directly, not the registrar namecheap:

Code:
dig ns coinexchange.io @c0.nic.io

...

;; QUESTION SECTION:
;coinexchange.io. IN NS

;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
coinexchange.io. 86400 IN NS blockedduetospam.pleasecontactsupport.com.
coinexchange.io. 86400 IN NS dummysecondary.pleasecontactsupport.com.

While querying the registrars DNS server resolves the domain.

Code:
dig a coinexchange.io @dns1.registrar-servers.com.

...

;; QUESTION SECTION:
;coinexchange.io. IN A

;; ANSWER SECTION:
coinexchange.io. 300 IN A 45.60.46.219
coinexchange.io. 300 IN A 45.60.52.219

;; AUTHORITY SECTION:
coinexchange.io. 1800 IN NS dns1.registrar-servers.com.
coinexchange.io. 1800 IN NS dns2.registrar-servers.com.

BTW: Those two IPs can be used in your host file to access the site directly (just to find out they are under maintenance anyway right now..)
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [HELP][STUPID] Sent some DOGE to DGB wallet on: January 16, 2018, 08:47:54 PM
It's just a shot in the dark but if the amount you sent is important for you it might be worth a try.
If you own the private key of the DGB address to which the DOGE have been sent, you may possibly be able to import this key into your DOGE wallet and the DOGE should be back - theoretically, I never tried that.

I am really not sure if that works but IMHO it should if both coins use the same public key/address generation method.

Stop spreading misinformation, while Charlie Lee sold his stash he never said he will quit, quite the contrary.

Good news from Novaexchange's News page:

Quote
2018-01-14 14:23 - Nova will NOT close its doors!
Honoured customers and crypto currency enthusiasts! You have been told a while ago now that we were planning to close down Nova Exchange in the beginning of 2018. We made this tough decision because Nova Exchange was growing at a speed, and in a way, that us, the founders, could not keep up with and run the business in a meaningful and secure way. Not wanting to make promises we might not be able to keep, we didn’t tell anyone, not anyone, that we never stopped looking for a way to keep going and keep Nova Exchange in business. So! We are so happy to announce that we have found a partner, a new main shareholder, willing and more importantly, able to carry on running Nova Exchange. The new owners, we have made sure, have the resources and the experience (6+ years in the business) it takes to provide excellent service to you all. We started negotiations and talks early in November last year, and now we can tell you the good news: The show will go on! More information will follow. In the meantime, just go keep on trading crypto. Best Wishes to you all!

I have contacted a new exchange to list TIPS, though they are like all exchanges overloaded from new users and are waiting for new hardware so it might take 2-3 weeks but I hope I can then convince them to list TIPS.
I'll keep you posted.
Would you share info about exchange?

Not before they have been able to beef up their gear, it wouldn't help anybody if it gets swamped with new users before it is being able to handle the load. I can say that I traded, desposited and withdrew coins there and all went smooth.
I had a support question and that was answered within minutes (and acted upon).

A little action every day, for an impressive result in a year. If we all get started, in January 2019 I am convinced that fedoracoin will be in the leaders.

But does the community really want it? Smiley
...

Absolutely agree, it's a community project. It only works if the community works for it. If you want to help, ask your favourite exchange to list TIPS, at the current volume in coinexchange it might be good business for smaller to medium sized exchanges.

There are issues with installing wallets and bootstrap.
I loaded the bootrap and installed the wallet but it crashed and did not run
Can someone help me

I would advice you to synch from scratch, see my previous post on how to speed up synching:

I have no idea what's the matter with coinexchange.io TIPS wallet. Everything was working for a long time and then out of the sudden they disabled the wallet.
Didn't see any notification on the page saying why it's closed.
Did any one already submit a ticket and received an answer? I never opened a ticket there and don't know about reaction time.
I wrote them about wallet offline and got "blah-blah" answer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1420302.msg27833520#msg27833520:
Quote
The wallet is in maintenance.

Our tech support team is actively working on resolving the issue and getting it back online ASAP – sorry, we cannot give an exact ETA.

Please do NOT make any deposits or withdrawals while the wallet is still in maintenance.

If you have made a deposit or withdrawal before realizing the wallet was disabled, then you will have to wait until it is active again for the transaction to process.

Pending transactions will be processed once the wallet is re-enabled.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

I think they want Devs addresses to them about something or want price manipulation with TIPS as Yobit does with some of cryptos going their wallets to offline.

You got that the wrong way around, Yobit takes wallets into maintenance to manipulate the price itself.

If you guys can't wait until coinexchange.io - which is as overloaded with work and requests as all other exchanges right now - restarts/fixes the TIPS wallet, just apply it as new coin to other exchanges.
This is is a community project if you didn't notice yet, and the community is everybody involved in TIPS.

Walllet offline it's true. What is the problem on coinexchange Huh

That happened before with other wallets on coinexchange, I guess it just means the wallet is currently not reacting to RPC calls and will be restarted soon. Normally this lasts only for minutes to hours. Check back in a few hours, I am quite confident it should work again.

So, interesting question: have any rich list on TIPS currently new chain?!
Generally, any official method to get that list? It perhaps helps strengthen network

I haven't kept updated on this coin. There was a problem with a fork a few years ago. Has it been resolved now?

Check the TIPS Hardfork FAQ from the OP.

HTH

Does the fork mean bter might still have a substantial number of fedoracoins that are spendable on both chains? Although bter said it would return all deposits before it closed it couldn't return fedoracoins to the new fork because it wasn't supporting it.

Yes, most probably bter still has coins that are valid on both chains.

Cryptopia is getting a lot of problems......looking into it.

Code:
********************************************************************************************************
                     * Error : OCR : Create Order (From GUI) Error From Cryptopia : TradePair does not exist or is disabled *
                     ********************************************************************************************************
not true
pairs are existing...

yes....maybe is disabled.
This message is not create by cat : "TradePair does not exist or is disabled". CAT only print the error returned from Cryptopia.

Cryptopia had temporarily paused all DOGE and LTC markets until they get their performance problems fixed that are caused by huge influx of new users recently.

Meanwhile they announced that the DOGE and LTC basemarkets will be removed:

I am currently unable to login onto the site. I've tried multiple browsers, but on all of them i'm getting the same error.

-- ERROR:"SSL_ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED_ALERT" --

Anyone else encountering this? I haven't been on the site for a long time, i presume they changed from HTTPS provider, do i need to delete /reinstall my browser (Or is there something you could resolve )?
( Can't really find anything about this issue on google. Only if it doesn't work in general/all sites., which isn't the case)

It works fine on mobile, since i have never logged on there before, but it is still pretty annoying. This is the only site i'm encountering this error with aswell.

Try clearing your browsers cache and eventual try to remove all cookies referring to cryptopia.
No problem to reach the site here.
