1001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How fair is Provably Fair? Do you verify every bet as a gambler? on: July 26, 2020, 04:45:52 AM
That is a great topic and I thought most of us already know this since we are always talking about these sites being Provable Fair.

Did some checking on the sites told by the OP, following the instructions and it appears just like the OP said. Either way, this is the site where I first read about this. I don't know if anyone here check this site out but it might be of help for you guys.
1002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 26, 2020, 02:56:02 AM
But there are consequences to that.
Cases in Nevada are growing very quickly now. And if the cases don't stop to rise state authorities will have to lock down Las Vegas again.

The pandemia is still very active. I think they'll have to close Las Vegas soon if things don't stop to get worse.

It keeps happening.

https://www.rgj.com/story/news/2020/07/25/live-updates-coronavirus-covid-cases-in-washoe-county-nevada-reno-las-vegas/5507570002/

New cases and it is breaking records. We all know the possibility of this happening but I think it will continue to increase over 40K cases if they don't put some measure to keep the number increasing. Is it the people or it is just that the government doesn't care?
1003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 26, 2020, 12:44:37 AM
Indeed the scary fact of physical casinos is that they will do all kinds of ways so that we spend the money we have there.
And go home without bringing anything, then makes us more addicted and want to continue playing in the physical casinos
without us knowing.Unfortunately I realize this after losing all the money I have, for that reason I think online casinos are better.

This depends on how much you've won really.

You can still go home with your winnings  but if they knew you've won a lot, they would offer you lounges or rooms sometimes drinks to stall you in the casino or to get back some of it. This is just their tactics since at the end of the day, it is still business.
1004  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: July 25, 2020, 11:37:56 AM
World crisis is inevitable because of the effect of corona virus scares that threaten many lives at risk and already killed thousands of people all over the globe. This pandemic brought negativity towards the economy that many people losses their jobs because of majority of business were force to shutdown in our country due to danger the lives of employees. Vaccine will only be our savior and that's one thing we need to have as soon as possible.

Vaccine is not just the answer, it is always the people and the government.

Remember that there are countries that flattened the curve without the vaccine. That just proves that disciplined people and great decision skills of the government could stop the contamination of the virus. It is much better with the vaccine and if Russia is done with it, this would be better.
1005  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Taxation on: July 25, 2020, 10:48:00 AM
Tax is helpful to government and it is really good if the tax is big because the country will have more funds to provide some projects for the developement of the country, tax is helpful and it can really have a good effect in our country, but if we talk about cypto taxation i don't think that it will become posible beause crypto is fully decentralized and we are all using crypto without tax for a long time.

Making huge taxes would really be a problem.

Some of the users even said that they are using Bitcoin to be able to avoid paying taxes, making it bigger means many more will evade paying taxes. Despite that, I don't mind paying tax as long as they are doing their job of not corrupting those money and putting it all on their own pockets.
1006  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to Overcome and Handle Your Mistakes in Trading? on: July 25, 2020, 09:48:09 AM
As you progress throughout your journey in trading you will know that you made a lot of mistakes. You can’t make improvements if you made the same mistake all over again. You must know how to minimize these risks and focus to strategies that have high potential win. Learn every single day, some people don’t develop themselves and become lazy. It’s the main reason why people quits and easily give up.

That is just right.

As a beginner, I had a lot of mistakes that even led me to think of stopping trading and even investing but that also led me to think that it might just be an obstacle I should cross. It made me think of reading some articles that can help me and learned from my mistakes all the way through.
1007  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: July 25, 2020, 07:28:19 AM
A lot of people do not want agree that surviving in the market today requires every trader to come to terms that they are trading on probability and at every moment of the trade there are series of different possible outcomes.

As a trader, the best you can do is find the most likely scenario based on the data you have and understanding the risk involved too.
Choose the best probable outcomes that favors you to avoid stories as rekt.
It is not only trading that is based on probability but life itself. It has been proven that no person nor software that can accurately predict the market as our trading decision is based on the accumulated mind. It is decision we take base on faith and fear. However the patience traders always end up in profits.

Patience is also a double-edged sword

This gave a lot of profit from a lot of people but there are also those that lost because the wrong timing. That also clings to probability since they are thinking that the price will go up continuously but it didn't. That is the reason why trading is really a probability and there are those times that we still loss.
1008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russia legalizing Bitcoin and cryptos but not allowed as payment method? on: July 25, 2020, 03:43:40 AM
It is just like informing the country about cryptocurrencies.

If they don't allow it as a payment method, I guess they are wanting to introduce it as an asset, I guess that is why they are also letting their local to create cryptocurrencies. That is my opinion though.
1009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 25, 2020, 03:02:57 AM
Just don't be greedy. Remember one thing, "Nothing is free in this world"

This is the best way to protect yourself from Fraudulent giveway.

My cousin was scammed yesterday, and I realized something.

They are not greedy. With the pandemic happening, people are actually having a hard time earning money since they are just in their houses for quarantine. A lot of people are giving their own ways to help and there are those people that really needed it. I know most of us will not fall for this, but not all of us are greedy, there are those that really needed it.
1010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will gambling signature promoters still get the same rate on: July 25, 2020, 01:51:04 AM
Obviously the managers will prompt members that they will be changing the rates.

As they said, no signature campaigns will be be overpaying its members. But that would be another matter if they get overpaid like thry sent double the amount of the said payment.
1011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 25, 2020, 12:53:01 AM
I think this old article could help to estimate how big.

Bitcoin Gamblers Have Wagered $4.5 Billion in BTC Since 2014

BTC3 wagered per minute, imagine that. I'm sure that trend increases.
4.5$ billion in 2014?so what more after 6 years when we already knew how much money  wagered in gambling each day.

and as  gambler i also know how much i am spending each time i gamble.

so yeah we are having large amount involved here.

I think you misunderstood this by looking at the picture.

Based on the picture, it is 12/2014 - 2017. I think that is less than to what you are thinking but still, that is massive. Lets not forget that we are in quarantine for months so people gambling online might doubled or tripled at that time.
1012  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 24, 2020, 12:06:11 PM
Despite of the opening, they still didn't meet their expectation, but I guess this figure reported are only the amount of target prior to the pandemic, so obviously they can't hit that as not everyone are going out to play, only few will.

So the question here is, are they still operating profitably?

I guess the casino will still operating because that is just a beginning. If they can promote using other media, I think the casino will have more gamblers to come to the casino. It is normal to see the profit is not as big as they imagine because people still afraid to go out of their home. But if the casino and another business can make sure that people will be safe to go to the places, people will go to the casino and play the games again. We need to give the people some time to think and decide, while the owner can still apply the protocols to protect people who come to that casino.
I also see it like that because many people have started to try to open their businesses again and when conditions like this will be many people at home will go back to work again and try to find and multiply their money quickly, and in my opinion gambling is the right choice because it can make lots of profit easily.

Easily huh, tell that to those people who lost their careers because of gambling addiction.

It may sounds pretty easy when you say gambling can generate profits easily but when you are in the table making bets, there are a lot of frustrations that led to people making wrong decisions. I think peoplr just go back to casinos after the lockdown because they miss it. Some of them are itching to go while on quarantine.
1013  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we agree BTC is not a store of value? on: July 24, 2020, 11:02:12 AM
Nothing in the world is reliable, just as BTC is not reliable.
But at least now we can still rely on bitcoin as a cryptocurrency that has many benefit.

Living in a country that can't really use Bitcoin, still, I can agree with this.

The benefit we get from Bitcoin is that we can have some profit in a long period of time, we can use to pay bills thruogh exchanges taking advantage of its fast and free transactions and very convinient. I know that we can't still directly use Bitcoin but usually it is a speculative asset and not a store of value.
1014  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: July 24, 2020, 09:58:58 AM
If we are practically thinking, another century would completely phase out physical money, we either along the way die of extinction from apocalypse or quantum computing is flourishing and resource management become so efficient that we became dependent on technology when it comes to finances. I specify quantum computing because I believe that by that time a centralized computer will do all the things that is needed and one example is finances.

I don't think it would be that long.

It is true that we are slowly depending on the technologies available in our country and before we even think about cryptocurrencies, we should be aware that there are also cards and digital wallets. Technology will flourish and transactions will do the same in that process. We don't know, Blockchain might be used at that future.
1015  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is Bitcoin Looking Bullish now? on: July 23, 2020, 12:13:41 PM
Appreciate your efforts in showcasing this but we need to refrain making any investment into BTC as of now because world's economy is at brink of collapse and this can send Bitcoin crashing anytime so it's better to stay neutral at this moment, we will be able to make a proper prediction only post this pandemic when dust settles.

I don't mind taking the risk here.

Despite the pandemic, we've seen the price went up to $10K, the price is slightly going up so we might see it again this week or maybe at the start of August. The twitter hack/scam did some effect on the price but I don't think it will be a longer.
1016  Economy / Speculation / Re: Living with parents again could fuel the next Bitcoin bull run. on: July 23, 2020, 11:30:54 AM
I've been thinking about this though just for myself.

I've been saving a lot and its been sometime not having any booze and Im getting used to it. The money Im spending with liabilities are now lessen and I also putting some to assets and stocks that dropped this pandemic. This might be good but I am also thinking of donating to some people whose having a hard time in a way like giving masks and alcohol.
1017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Bitcoin Giving on: July 23, 2020, 10:42:03 AM
I think the timing also the reason for them to fall for it.

People are in oandemic and some of them are in desperate need to earn some cash. Another thing is the people themselves. One of those account hacked is MrBeast who do crazy things online. He's a YouTuber and actually flaunts his wealthiness on the internet. He gives huge donations to streamers, do crazy challenges with crazy prices and other stuffs.

Him posting this is kind of his thing so the timing really hit people off to fall for this scam.

With such desperation and with legit and well known personalities that being hacked
people really fall and being victimized.
This incident really brings the attentions of those followers, thinking that it was a genuine
acts since this virus is really hitting everyone.
No doubts that despite of hardship there are still people who are desperate and wanting
to take the risk.
Not thinking that well, the hackers simply runaway with the money together with the hope
from those victims of this scam giveaways.

Whats more is that most of these accounts are with 2FA authenticator which really gives security to its users.

I am following this article since. It would really be obvious to people if they knew that a lot of accounts are actually posting the same posts and posting the same bitcoin address. The hacker left his bitcoin address which is said to still have some transactions happening.

1019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots are better than Dice. on: July 23, 2020, 06:29:54 AM
Slots is purely luck based and with dice there is some level of strategy involved. With the right strategy it is possible to go much longer before going bust. I've seen dice players who have made millions of rolls and are still profitable

Slots have its own strategy and that is the same with dice.

What I am saying is that without the gambler and if it is just the game, they are purely based on luck. The strategy comes in when the gambler plays. This two games is great I just chose dice here since that is the first game I've ever played using cryptocurrencies and since that I stick with it.
1020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: July 23, 2020, 04:42:16 AM
They are confident, they are underestimating the virus.
They are underestimating the virus though but some people still going outside to do an errands that can't sustain their needs. No one is safe actually until the vaccine release globally. Once vaccine is out people can go to the casino but these days government allowed businesses to open. Must follow the precaution to be safe from this pandemic era.
We understand and know about it but for those people that doesn't have important things to do, they don't have to go out. But as for gamblers, we know it that they have to go out as we're not all the same that can allow ourselves stay in the cave for a long time.
Kudos to those scientists that are doing everything they can to create the vaccine.
For sure that all of the casinos in Las Vegas have strict protocols when it comes to social distancing in order to prevent the spread of the virus. There are a lot of gamblers around the world that are now starting to go again in casinos because for sure they got bored in their home in these past months because of the covid but they should not be happy in this current moment even though traditional casinos are now open because covid 19 is still a threat for them and they can get it from casinos if there will a asymptomatic gambler there. When the vaccine will be invented, for sure many people will encourage to go in casinos again.

We all thought that is whats happening, but it isn't.

The fact that we are seeing increasing cases in Nevada means that the reopening of casinos is the cause of it. It is said that even bars are open making social distancing harder to implement. If this continues, for sure we might face the 2nd wave and that would be harder since it would obviously immune to medicines that hey are using right now.

But since Russia is said to discover the vaccine, we just need to wait for it to be produced since their country needed it too.
