But it will be made fertile when it gets f**ked by Bitcoin.

1002  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] btcQuick - Bitcoin Sales Service on: June 10, 2013, 02:51:49 PM
i'm thinking about investing in btcquick, just wondering as an american company will you guys be complying with all the finsec stuff and msb licenses and stuff?

I'm also curious about this. Are you complying with regs, and if not how much could the feds shut down your ability to do business?

Also, are all the still unsold batches of shares definitely going to be sold at the prices stated in the OP? Meaning today's share price can't be much lower than when those batches are released, so there is no chance of a really big reward for getting in early now?

Thanks.

Any suggestions on how to increase traffic/volume in this area of BTC trading?

If you don't want coins kept locked up but you don't mind shares locked up, be able to offer shares as collateral to the exchange against the coins that are promised to the buyer if they exercise the option.

Or, have an option to let the exchange lend the coins out for interest (eg. to coinlenders.com) instead of having them just sit there gathering dust till the option expires.
1004  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] BITINVEST - Transparent low risk investment bond on: June 10, 2013, 01:01:41 AM
So 0.9 * 18.941 = 17.0496 17.0469

FTFY. Thanks for the extra 0.0027 BTC Wink
1005  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin vs Bitcoin wall tracker & speculation thread on: June 08, 2013, 12:22:02 PM
Some good links, thanks. Smiley

Opinions on feathercoin? Long term I think it can become huge (just based on it's community support). I was planning on buying in when it stopped falling, hoping it would settle then rise gently, so much for that idea.  Shocked

I think the current spike is a pump-and-dump... but I bought back in anyway because I don't want to miss the boat in case it never comes back down. Those featherfans are not going to quit and they're starting to get their act together.

1007  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] BTCINVEST - Low risk investment fund! on: June 07, 2013, 11:29:50 PM
If your big ask wall at NAV/share (฿0.195020 now) gets filled, do you add more or is that it for 2 weeks?

And the 95% (฿0.1850 is you I'm guessing) bid wall, is that replenished? (If not, a big investor would have trouble getting out quickly).

Sorry to be hogging your page this week. Embarrassed

Interesting. Why are you so bearish on AM?

(Don't worry about dissuading PUT-sellers, the discussion would attract more! Grin)

1011  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] BTCINVEST - Low risk investment fund! on: June 07, 2013, 03:44:53 PM
Awesome dividend, thanks. Smiley

Share Buybacks: 2.43 BTC
Total: 770.44 BTC
Shares outstanding: 4000
Total: 758.26 BTC
Shares outstanding: 3888

How does this work? The outstanding shares has fallen, as if the fund spent money to buy it's shares back, and there's less total NAV to match it - it's like "Share buybacks" should be about 10 times bigger with a minus in front, but I maybe made a n00b mistake. Smiley Thanks.

[Edit - or maybe "Share buybacks" is spread buy/sell profit, and the sell/buy totals themselves aren't shown?]

36 doesn't even follow the rule. It's both divisible by 3, AND has a square root that is a whole number.

He doesn't currently have a deadman's switch. See here:

1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin Dev Fundraiser: 5,000 LTC Matching Donation Challenge on: June 05, 2013, 12:29:20 PM
Im not trying to be a little troll and I appreciate all the work you guys do to make me rich, but honestly you gotta admit that statement sounds kinda manipulative. I mean if someone has 5K they want to donate they should do it regardless of what the community does. I just feel thats kind of a manipulation on his part to get more donations from the community (a legitimate line of logic saying he wants to see mutual commitment from the community as he does from himself) the issue he is anonymous (also logical). Problem is that the outcome (send us more money) sounds kind of, well, you know what it sounds like. Anyways I'm sure we will see how this plays out, ill just shut up till then, and most likely this is legit, just has a sound of scamy to me

It's not unusual for good causes to do matching donation challenges. It's not scammy. It's a bit manipulative, but no more than most of what good causes do to raise money, and it's proven to be effective.
1018  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] BITINVEST - Transparent low risk investment bond on: June 05, 2013, 01:37:28 AM
We also has some unused coins - one option is to pay it out as dividends to shareholders, other is to just invest them. Thoughts?

Reinvest! Use those skills to power up the fund & boost the share value to one doubling after another. Make your name legend & show ASICMiner how it's done! Grin

1020  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: TradeFortress deadman's switch? on: June 04, 2013, 10:26:22 PM
Hi,

Thank you for your interest! Currently, there is no dead man's switch set up. I have tried to get one previously, however no trusted friends or family members have some clue on Bitcoin, sshing to the server, etc.

I'd have to find a trusted community member to act like a dead mans switch, which is less desired as I don't know them in real life.

Give a trusted forum member encrypted instructions & passwords, and a family member the decryption key & the trusted forum member's email address?
