1001  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Dominance rising again. What is happening? on: January 11, 2020, 10:29:51 AM
It is a fair point, but I think the issue on the topic is that fake volumes in alts are, according to the author, way higher than those on bitcoin (which, by the way, we understood how to isolate), this is why dominance should be higher (even if reading the article current dominance was set at 50%... so way lower).

Fillippone you have a point here, Bitcoin dominance should be higher. Nobody should be surprised with that fact, Bitcoin is the dominant
crypto-asset! And I believe that many alt-coins have a fake volume.
For me rising Bitcoin dominance can be a sign for the next bull run! It's imminent, bull run I mean, and this can be a good sign that
we are on the good direction.
1002  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Trend for 2020. on: January 10, 2020, 06:57:00 PM
I keep saying that 2019 was better than 2018. This year started good, and I hope it will be better than 2019. I believe that we have
a good direction, slowly but steady Bitcoin is gaining trust again. Why I say again, because after 2017 and that incredible rise many people
lost faith in crypto-currencies. Not just Bitcoin, all others dropped hardly, some will never recover from that probably.
I am positive no matter what. Every prediction that I have for 2020 is positive, but it's me. I don't know what crypto-market prepared for us
this year, good or bad, rise or drop, I will try to be calm and positive about long-term future!
1003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we getting a pump and dump for this month? on: January 10, 2020, 04:41:17 PM
Still have chance for bitcoin back to lower price when Chinese new year coming and bitcoin investor come from China will sell their assets for celebrating their new year and make bitcoin looks down, the same with Cristmas day I think bitcoin back with lower price because Chines new year always give impact for bitcoin going down what happen like last Chinese new year.
I may not think about it.
https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/7vvec4/hodl_the_chinese_new_year_effect_in_3_simple/
As we could see the chart in the previous New year, there are low dumps happens but it eventually turns back high in a few days after. And may this time still never be affecting more on the price but I'm thinking that it helps to uplift the market.

Thanks for sharing this interesting post from Reddit! It's one year old, but it's interesting. First comment is amazing, it's
the same what I think, I will share it for everyone to see it:
-"The lesson I get from this: buy a good coin, hold and forget. Come back in a couple years and check the value of your holdings. Cash out what you need. Come back when you need more. Retire."
I learn the same lesson every time, buy a good coin and hold for years. Not days, or months, years, more then couple years, maybe
5, at least 5! I am here almost 2 years, and I still hold! Monthly and daily pumps and dumps are not for me, I am here for a long-term!
1004  Economy / Economics / Re: Malaysia to Limit Cash Transactions in 2020 on: January 10, 2020, 11:19:00 AM
Personally, I strongly support Malaysia's plan, cash transactions really need to be reduced to make efficiency in transactions.  cash is an old concept, I have started using online transactions in various important activities such as buying daily necessities, buying gasoline and paying bills, in addition to greatly facilitating me, I can also monitor how much I spend money every month.

There are people out there who are unable to make online payments. What's your take on them? Making online payments need a smartphone and an internet connection. As far as I know, the government is not giving away these for free. Also, if they make such payment methods mandatory, then they need to give training to people (especially the elderly) on how to use them. And this is one of the reasons why China went back on enforcing digital payments recently.

People who are unable to make online payments will have to adapt, they will find someone to do that for them or they will learn
how to do it. Percent of people who are unable to make online payments is decreasing everyday! Old people who don't like technology
are dying and new generations will replace them all, even us in the end.
I am reading about Malaysia with enthusiasm, one more country that plan to limit cash transactions. This is the beginning of the end
for cash money!
1005  Economy / Economics / Re: Global Wave of Debt Is Largest, Fastest in 50 Years on: January 10, 2020, 06:53:00 AM
The population of the world in 1950 was 2,556,000,000! Today 7,500,000,000! Nobody could predict that, like nobody could
predict that debt will rise so fast, same like inflation, and all other things. This system is can't be apply on global level, it's why
we need digitalization, why we need Blockchain!
Blockchain provides an immutable record, consider how helpful that can be for all of us who are fair and honest! In public sector
Blockchain can be used for voting, all kind of records, paper documents can become history! Insurance, healthcare, gaming, supply
chain, imagine revolution that Blockchain can make!
1006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will 2020 give new hope to Altcoin? on: January 09, 2020, 10:32:35 PM
True that 2019 was bad but was 2018 good? 2020 is kinda meant to move things further no matter what Cheesy Prices are already slowly consolidating on big time frames so it looks like maybe not a super hyped bull in 2020 but rather stopped bleeding. We need to wait now, people who lost their faith in crypto have to also lose bad emotions and it will take some time. Maybe at 2021NYE someone will convince them to buy again, but it is too soon for fireworks in 2020 imo

For me and my portfolio 2019 was better than 2018. It's true that many people
lost their faith, but I'm not one of them. Many times I repeated that we can't lose
faith so quickly, with first hard times to run away. If we chose this we need to
have faith in good and bad times too.
I think that 2020 will be better than 2019, but it's still early for fireworks, I agree
with you on that. I hope for that, but in my opinion we will see that in next few years,
we need to be patient now.
1007  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat Vs Cryptocurrency, which would you choose? on: January 09, 2020, 03:25:48 PM
I choose crypto-currencies! A year ago I chose to save my extra money from salary in crypto-currencies, mainly in Bitcoin
and Ethereum, but I have from some other alt-coins and tokens too.
It's a choice, I believe that crypto-currencies are the future. Fiat money, traditional money, as we know it will be obsolete,
even now cash is for museums not for real using, I don't remember when did I use cash last time, for something little probably.
1008  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you always invest in top ranked coins? on: January 09, 2020, 11:21:42 AM
Many investors are investing in the top coins because it is likely to thrive and can follow the flow of Bitcoin, and we can see many investors who get huge profits every altcoin price that already has potential up Because their choices are very precise, in addition to investing in bitcoins investors also choose some of the altcoins that are in the top order because that's how to get the results as they expect.
In addition, it may also be the reason they chose the top 100 coinmarketcap cryptocurrency. For example, to minimize the possibility of risk loss because altcoin will definitely touch the new ATH and provide profits for investors or traders.

Top coins are already established coins, investing in them is less risky then investing in some new coins. Most of my money goes
in the Top coins, but from time to time I choose some low ranked coin that have potential. We can't deny the existence of low ranked
coins, some of them have potential to improve their rank in upcoming years.

1009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull run 2019-2020 on: January 08, 2020, 09:07:02 PM
We are at the decision point... Up beyond $9K or back to $6K?

Speculators will speculate, holders will hold. Take it as you like, but Bitcoin is at decision point all the time. People ask the same question
over and over again where is Bitcoin heading from this point? People apply different strategies in trading, everyone have some prediction,
to be honest I'm tired from reading all that, why to bother myself with those predictions and daily fluctuations?
Can we agree about one thing, Bitcoin is going over $20k? That will happen one day, people can try to trade and earn more, but they can
lose too! Holders will not lose!
1010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will any new project will do payment with ETH ? on: January 08, 2020, 11:40:52 AM
wabi/tael : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5215285.0
gold stabelcoin : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5164058.0
taurion: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5177005.0

I just found three intended campaigns, and as far as I know Tael has been traded on the top exchange. I hope it will be a good climate for other projects too, we don't want the same atmosphere as last year. For ico, the developer might think of preventing a collapse in prices because there is no more pressure from hunters to dump quickly, but the most important thing is how to succeed with ico first.

Thanks for sharing this bounties that pay their participants in Ethereum, especially for TAEL Twitter bounty. I will join there!
I think the same like you, we can hope that this year we will have a better climate and that market will be kind to new projects.
Last two years were hard for many new projects, just some were successful among many others. This year started with some good
bullish days, that can be a good signal.
1011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sources of income? on: January 08, 2020, 06:46:00 AM
I am primary income from my job to convert into crypto. Many crypto jobs pay below what I earn at regular job, so it does not make sense for me to work for less money just because it is in crypto
It would be better if you keep working as usual in your current job and then you set aside a little time for crypto, because there are many ways to benefit through crypto, provided you can stay focused and optimistic on the work you are doing.

Yes, we should always plan it wisely for making profits wisely, in crypto we different sources of income and we should not leave our main sources. Of course, there are different ways to earn money in crypto, but for everything, we have to research them, without research we are going to lose money.

Crypto-industry is a growing industry, this industry require some set of skills if you wish to work for crypto-currencies. Either technical
or writing skills, you need to have something to offer and if you have good response from community maybe you can start earning crypto-
currencies.
We all earn here in many ways, for me it's a hobby, my main source of income is my job. From my salary I invest in crypto-currencies, add
to that what I earn and it's how I grow my alt-coin portfolio.
1012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What happens to market ? on: January 07, 2020, 05:44:57 PM
It is just a normal market circle, we have ups and down. those that understand this take advantage of it to the full. With the look of things it seems we are close to entering new bull run and it is better to have a plan before it arrives because when the market noise start we are likely to get carried away, I have all the information staring at me in the previous bull run but ignore them and now I am paying for not using them to my advantage

Traders are the ones who take advantage of those ups and downs, and I agree with you they are like circles. Who don't know
how to take advantage of this crypto-market fluctuations can take the easier way and that is holding. I think that the next bull
run is close, we can have advantage of that bull run only if we have bags with different coins and tokens. I ignore daily up and
downs, I accumulate and wait for my moment.
1013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Now that we are in 2020 on: January 07, 2020, 04:34:30 PM
we all hope for the best for 2020, if altcoin once again triumphs this year, I'm not sure if ICO is still in demand. because ICO used to be sold out because it was something new. indeed I admit that the 2017 bullrun alt is inseparable from the number of ICOs that were born so as to make the Crypto market prosper. if in 2020 I don't understand what things will make the Alt market come back bullrun

I don't think about ICO's, this year I will try to focus on making my position stronger with some Top Coins I
believe in long-term. ICO's will be here, who wish to invest in them will be able to do that, but instead to
grow my portfolio in size with more coins and tokens I will try to add more of what I already have.
We all hope for the better year. Bull run and new alt-coin season is closer, I can feel that. Two years are
behind us, this or next year we will have another run.
1014  Economy / Economics / Re: Trading on: January 07, 2020, 02:37:37 PM
You should do research about the market before you buy bitcoin. A project that has gained much value will lose value after a while. However, it is very difficult to predict when the correction will take place. You need to think about the possibility of a fall. Invest accordingly.

What kind of research you advise? Half says that Bitcoin is going over $100k, other half say we are going back to 1000$,
whom to believe? Bitcoin price possibilities are endless, it can go high, it can drop low, what research we can do?
Many times we had good news but price dropped, while we had bad news we had the price increase, there isn't a way to
predict accurately where the price is heading, for me that is pure luck if you make a good trade.
1015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coins should i buy? on: January 07, 2020, 10:58:16 AM
Buy the coins that has a working product and use cases because these coins will be the game changer,   so many projects entering the crypto but only coins that has use case and working product will survive this year.

Many people say "invest in a working product and uses cases coins" but nobody say exactly which ones are they. Is that
BNB, they have exchange and platform, Huobi toke, KuCoin shares, Ethereum and Bitcoin? Doge coin can be used for many
things now.
Many coins have a working products and many coins can be used for something. It's your choice in which one you plan to
invest your money.
1016  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will there be an altseason this year? on: January 06, 2020, 08:31:51 PM
it is hard to tell if altcoin will boom this year. we just need to wait for the market to recover back and let us see what will happen to them..even bitcoin is having a struggle
I agree with you, I think it's hard to say what's going to happen this year, a crypto sphere so unpredictable that everything can change in just a couple of days.

This topic is from the last year, now we can take a look at charts for each coins and check their progress for the past 2019. Some of the coins
gained some value, others dropped. I think we didn't see a bull run as many expected, it's too early for that.
We are in 2020 already. Will we have alt-coin season this year? Nobody can answer on that, we need to trust and be patient.
1017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Blocknet Speculation Thread on: January 06, 2020, 07:01:12 PM
What is everyones thoughts on Blocknet?

With this full blown bear market, it's hard to know exactly what to look for, especially if you go down past the top 50 on Coinmarketcap.

Over the last quarter of 2019, moving into 2020 we've seen TONS of exchange hacks, exit scams, and straight up fraud, due to centralization. It's really no wonder why people seem to be so interested in decentralized trading, Dapps, and other solutions with 0 middlemen in between.

Blocknet is interesting, because they are first movers on the DEX front. (Actually running a 4th gen DEX), they constantly work on it, and I think it's safe to assume that most people KNOW about this project already.

What a LOT of people don't realize (myself included, until recently) is that they are working on a decentralized oracle service, called "Xrouter", which will basically be run by service nodes. You'll be able to connect blockchain, and real world data straight through the network, and to my surprise you can already test this on their official discord server.

This project screams decentralization, everything is voted for (including development plans), fair launch, and best of all? It's not an ERC20 token, which is a huge advantage, since it means they don't rely on any other chain (Like Chainlink does with ETH).

You'll be able to profit from: Staking, Service node rewards, Trading fees, Oracle fees and the list goes on and on.

With all the recent talk about decentralization, this project is definitely one to keep an eye on. No question about it! Wink

Like you I become aware of Blocknet just recently. I read about them on publish0x for the first time a week ago. Great idea,
and I like what they are trying to do.
I checked Bocknet price, it's affordable, but what is concerning is that they are having really hard time in this bearish market.
Current price is 0.6$, compared with their ATH they dropped hard. Will they be able to gain trust again and recover their ATH?
1018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High price but no volume on: January 06, 2020, 09:36:45 AM
tokens that have very high prices, but have volume usually come from shit tokens and projects that exit the scam and yes the reason for the ride is that there are some holders who want to entertain other holders by tricking them because I'm sure many token holders like this still want to sell it at a high price.

Why would anyone consider trading or investing in coin with no or low volume? That coin can be sold to some newbie who don't
know how to check is there any volume on any exchange for that coin. Bottom line is that those coins are used for scamming
people around.
Some coin will never reach higher prices, investors should be aware of that fact. Choose your investments wisely and try to do
at least some basic research.
1019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which coins should i buy? on: January 06, 2020, 06:58:24 AM
Well, it great to own bitcoin because it has huge potential price surge. In buying tokens or coins, it is very important that it has real usability or demand. There are lot of digital assets and I suggest to study them very well before buying it.

Who is starting with crypto-currencies should start with Bitcoin! But Bitcoin, whole Bitcoin, is expensive for many people, it's
why some people turn to cheaper coins. There is a lot of hype around some coins and tokens, I am trying to stay away from
them and to stick with top coins.

1020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is the prospect of BAT in 2020? on: January 05, 2020, 07:23:27 PM
Brave browser and BAT token are gaining popularity among bloggers and
publishers. They announced revolution on that field and in think that is happening,
many who use it are satisfied. Word is spreading and I think they are on the right
direction.
I have some BAT and I'm trying to earn some on publish0x, I hope they will continue
with good work this year and that we will sees lot more from them.
