“You start with a darkness to move through but sometimes the darkness moves through you.” - I forgot the link when I read this quote.
Google attributed this quote to a contemporary American poet Dean Young (born 1955), but actually it is rephrasing of classic quote by a german philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche (1844-1900): "Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become a monster. And if you gaze long enough into an abyss (darkness – me), the abyss (darkness – me) will gaze back into you."

"Oz the Great and Powerful". I don't really remember what was so bad about it, but I decided never to watch it again

Since I joined bitcointalk.org I have improved my English learn many information's and most especially I am earning daily. My btc earnings on the signature campaign has been my source for investment on different sites. This wonderful income opportunity is really helpful for me to save some btc but also to provide for my weekly allowance. Bitcoin is power at bitcointalk.org. Thank you very much for letting me be a part of this site.
I agree it is helpful for improving English and allows to earn some money when the work is not really hard. And yet I don't think we can say this forum is totally perfect. I mean, people discuss here some other topics not really connected to BTC. I think they should discuss them in a more serious way and then this forum won't be really about BTC or they should discuss pretty much BTC only with no such topics as "Your favourite film", "What drinks do you like and all that stuff

I assume that 10 BTC I'd probably convert them to some stable thing: to gold as example. Though I'd like to keep part of the 10 BTC to invest them in some promising project and taking dividends.

That sounds to me as some sort of sophism. Like the more you have cheeze, the less you have cheese because of its holes. And this one creates illusion that a way to be in prosperity is negation of prosperity at all. When by common sense the only way to have property is to have it already. The more you own, the more you have. Like A is A, obviously.

Robots will never replace humans, because there are certain problems with AI even on the theoretical level. Of course, here I mean not the AI we already have in some robots, but the AI which will work like human's. This problem I'm talking about can be understood via the "Chinese room experiment". For those who aren't familiar with it, I'll paste a brief description here: "suppose that artificial intelligence takes Chinese characters as input and, by following the instructions of a computer program, produces other Chinese characters, which it presents as output. Suppose this computer performs its task so convincingly that it comfortably passes the Turing test: it convinces a human Chinese speaker that the program is itself a live Chinese speaker. To all of the questions that the person asks, it makes appropriate responses, such that any Chinese speaker would be convinced that they are talking to another Chinese-speaking human being. But does the machine literally "understand" Chinese? Or is it merely simulating the ability to understand Chinese? Now the same with human being, who is in a closed room and has a book with an English version of the computer program, along with sufficient paper, pencils, erasers, and filing cabinets. Human could receive Chinese characters through a slot in the door, process them according to the program's instructions, and produce Chinese characters as output. If the computer had passed the Turing test this way, it follows, that he would do so as well, simply by running the program manually. However, this person would not be able to understand the conversation. Therefore, it follows that the computer would not be able to understand the conversation either. Without "understanding" (or "intentionality"), we cannot describe what the machine is doing as "thinking" and since it does not think, it does not have a "mind" in anything like the normal sense of the word."
The machine don't need a mind to harm people it only needs a creator that code him to be harmful. You know what I'm saying? Those people that want to see the world burn. I can agree with that, but in this case I don't think it is right to say that machines have won, it's rather some people one using robots in this case. What is your opinion on that?

Hello guys,
how many of you are earning for living just with bitcoin based projects? If some of you do, can you contribute what do you do?
I'm not really earning a living with BTC now but it is a part of earnings. If you come to the status of a Senior Member here, you can work for a nice signature campaign and earn more than 100$ per month for a very easy work. In some countries it isn't much money, but in other ones you can even live on them.

Share with us what's your main reason for buying bitcoins?
I don't have reasons for buying them, I just get them by some work. I think that's the best with BTC)

Faucet ? Cloud Mining ? Mining ? HYIP ? Any more ?

As i am from country where bitcoin is stated to be a illegal currency so, its ok to earn form small services and signature campaign here and hold my bitcoins ? I need some suggestions ? I love bitcoin and i can't leave it !
The legality of BTC differs from country to country. You can check some details here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country, I guess, because I suppose its only only a question of legality but also a level of illegality differs. E.g.: Bangladesh - anybody caught using the virtual currency could be jailed; as for Cyprus - The use of bitcoins is not regulated there

If you are a BTC lover, would you one day like to get your paycheck 100% in BTC? Personally I won't. Because many facilities in my area doesn't support BTC payment. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) I do not mind receiving, say, 20% of my pay in BTC denomination. I haven't figured pout yet whether it is easy to turn BTC to my country's currency.. I guess it is better for me to have about 25% in BTC. The amount may become twice as big in a while (who knows).

So, why do we need to use Bitcoin???
To earn some money and play with fire. BTC is like fire, being really unstable and having an ability to bring both something good and bad.

In 1941, Walter Funk, Hitler’s economics Minister, launched the Europaische Wirtschafts Gemeinschaft (the European Economic Community) – EEC) to establish a single European currency. Hitler’s plan was to integrate the European economy into a single market.
In 1945 Hitler’s Masterplan (captured by the Allies) included a scheme to create an economic integration of Europe and to found a European Union on a federal basis. The Nazi plan for a federal Europe was based on Lenin’s belief that: ‘Federation is a transitional form towards complete union of all nations.’
A new book entitled, ‘The EU: The Truth About The Fourth Reich – How Hitler Won The Second World War‘, suggests Germany is the only country that benefits from a European Union,
I don't know if true..But Germany was the one doing the best in the EU.GLAD TO BE OUT OF THE EU..
That is popular among eurosceptics with doubtful financing that may come from somewhere out of Mother Russia to compare the EU with left (the USSR) and right (The Third Reich) totalitarianism in order to attack it as red/nazi antidemocratic organization. In fact, the Third Reich and the USSR (especially in Stalin era) had much in common: one party and its leader, one state ideology and propaganda that supports it etc. However, that states compared to the EU have significant differences: real sovereignty of states of the EU (when it the USSR the sovereignty was just formal and there wasn't such a thing in the Third Reich), multiparty system, the absence of state ideology per se and freedom of speech and the same absence of state propaganda controlling medias. So, I hardly see how the EU can be called both the new USSR and the Fourth Reich. And it seems to me that Germany is facing with the similar problems as the other members of the EU as it can be called as a pan-European crisis. Otherwise it would be too easy to say that Germany is doing the best and just conquers other european states to create so-called European Reich.

Exactly what the title says.
If bitcoin dropped to the price of a dollar (which we hope it never will), what would you do? Buy more and hold, sell? Buy a promising altcoin like ETH?
I personally would buy more bitcoin.
I'd buy some more too. However, I think it is impossible for it to dropp the price to 1$, because it holds on the trust of people and when Bitcoin just starts to fall, lots of people come to buy them and it rises)

for me Bitcoin allows me to hold some saving out of the banking system and the hands of the government.
I love it that you can get some in the Internet by doing some not very hard work and it's quite funny how unstable it is)

I honestly don't mean to be rude or anything but seriously ? A lot of services scammed or really got hacked (Mt gox , Bitfinex , Poloniex , Bter , Purse.io , Coinapult , BitStamp , Scrypt.CC , Bitcoinica , Bitcurex and much much more) Till now and after getting people losing thousands/millions of dollars , people still don't understand that they shouldn't keep their coins in Exchange for long term.
If we speak about Cloud mining companies , I think we are giving shitload of warnings when someone ask about cloud mining ... Still , people keep investing there and then cry when the service "claim" that they got hacked and never comeback. Example : HashOcean (lately) , Cloudminr , Cloudmining.website and a lot more ! So I really want to hear your opinions on this one guys. PS : Halving is coming , you may want to start withdrawing your coins .. just in case ? ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Of course, people shouldn't keep money unsafe and it's their own fault they do so. "Halving is coming" - how do you know that? I thought BTC is more like raising now

I heard people buying bitcoin using real money.. Is it really good since we all know that everything on internet can be hack or something.... Is bit[Suspicious link removed]d to make your money grow fast or will you just lose all those money??
I think Bitcoin is nice when you can get it ex nihilo but if you are to invest money - it is too unstable
