How does the difficulty algo work exactly? Did they change the difficulty retarget times from 2016 to a smaller number?

If it was too easy making money on Nicehash rentals then everybody would be doing it.
There is a huge 3% fee from your price that you need to calculate. Nicehash charges those fees both ways.
You either need to buy GPUs and mine ETH on your own or just buy ETH directly.

Even if he bought loads of WAVES. Him dying does't mean they are gone forever. Most likely his family might have access to them.
Same reason if Satoshi died, his family still might have access to his coins.

LOL. That article is full of it. They will just halt deposits/withdraws on Aug 1st in case there is a split.

Did you use Electrum by Cold storage (computer never connected to the internet) or did you just use it with your regular PC that you browse the web ?

here you mentioned that we can keep bitcoin wallets as long as we have the private keys. Your list includes blockchain.info. but it seems we don't have private keys when we keep bitcoin there. Can you confirm with this please?
From what I heard, if you save your private seed you can somehow export the private key in Electrum. However I never tried this so I am not 100% sure.

Why post this in Altcoin Discussion when this is Bitcoin related?

I am not a coder so I don't have much depth into this situation but wondering if Electrum could have a similar vulnerability such as the Parity multisig wallet which was hacked earlier today.
Don't know how much of the code is similiar since its Bitcoin based and Parity was mostly Ethereum based.
The Ethereum Multisig works differently from Bitcoin's multisig. The vulnerability allowed attackers to change the owner to their own and thus are able to authorise the transactions themselves. The issue was stemmed from a simple bug. This is not possible with Bitcoin however. To spend from a multisig address, you need the redeem script and the signatures of at least N addresses. There is no way that anyone can change the address used to create the multisig. Wasn't Bitfinex hacked a year ago a similiar way? They had a multisig wallet and they got hacked?

Another great question for the PoW coin is who will support it with the hashing power and if there is a protection from 51% attack ready ![Huh](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/huh.gif) Maybe ViaBTC will and some multipools, but that hardly counts more than 5% of Bitcoin hashrate so the forked chain will be very vulnerable to attacks. Anyway airdrops are always welcome ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) They made some changes to the difficulty algo, so the chain would survive with minor hashrate.

I think someone would have to make a new thread as the OP have been inactive for a very long period of time, and there are quite a number of sites that have already ceased their site operations but I could still see those sites on the list for users to vote.
It's difficult to maintain this kind of thread unless the future OP will provide a time and seriousness to continue what has been started. IF ever there will be a person that like to make a new thread, can you add OneHash on the list. It's a sportsbetting site that have the same feature of no registration like the classic Directbet. Because he is not serious. THis is a useless thread filled with nothing but spam. He made this thread, and made a few posts right after and then abandoned it. No idea why. At least he should of locked it so it wouldn't keep getting bumped every few days with the exact same posts.

This reminds me of a similiar popular game we had a while ago, can't remember the name.
It looks interesting however there are a few things you should do.
1) Add a faucet or demo money so we can try it out before deposit
2) Make BTC has an additional currency since not too many people hold ZEC.
3) Maybe switch to a faster server since this one is very laggy for me at the moment.

I rarely believe this article, i dont think they even owned such amount, what they would have done is they would have faked the BTC amount. I also do not believe that Underdog01253 created an account, placed a $250 slot bet and won 303 BTC. It looks like an inside job to defraud the investors, especially as Curacao eGaming do not supervise its licensees! It is also totally unclear how they were able to process the 303 BTC win, while their hotwallet was almost always empty? They might have tried to rip the investors by hedging their bankroll first and then self betting with confirmed win. I have seen such instances when Magicaldice devs were self betting to rip the investors. I asked about it. Their reply was that he just got lucky and then he kept betting more and more and ended up losing some of that win. No idea if this was generated on purpose or not. I mean if you legitimately win 303 BTC, why would you keep gambling anyways? Apparently he kept betting more and more and lost a huge amount of that win and just cashed it out and never returned. The whole situation was sketchy as hell according to me. As always, any site will always said that thing when trying to scam. Usually it will take like forever just to let the 300 btc move out like that. 300 btc is not small amount, so how are they going to pay out someone so easily? Without doing any investigation? This is just so absurd here. And like you guys said before how is suppose for any player to keep on betting if suddenly he won that huge amount? This just does not add up here. If anyone have prove, this should be put on scam accusation The win was a legitimate win and wasn't cashed out instantly. Gamblers, as has been mentioned earlier in the thread, will often carry on playing even when they have won a large amount. This winner in particular carried on to lose 2 thirds of their winnings. The reason why its sketchy is because he won the 303 BTC right away, and he could of lost 2/3rd of that amount to make it seem like it wasn't luck. Because when you win 303 BTC, why would you keep gambling to win more? Also what are the chances he would win another 303BTC consecutively, it doesn't make sense probabilistic.

And where the problem if the faucet isn't 1000 Satoshie? The site is scam and NOT PAID.
No idea what is going on with this guy. He is ACTIVE everyday but has't replied to any posts since the beginning of July. Maybe he died and left his computer running? Only logical explanation I can think of.
