10041  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is It Time To Buy Bitcoin? The answer will surprise you on: September 07, 2018, 06:35:18 PM
I think it is still dangerous to buy bitcoin. It is very similar to the formation of a bearish flag. Perhaps in the near future we will see a new bottom.

LMAO, What do you mean dangerous?

Here's a good tip, when everyone is selling, then you buy, and when everyone started to buy then you sell. Just the typical law of supply and demand and there's nothing wrong about it. Bitcoin is too powerful and no matter what people says' about, its unstoppable so its better to get in early and buy as many as you can in a bear market. And NO, there's bearish trend has nothing to do with USD.

Anyone of you guys following the women's side as well?

Naomi Osaka become the first Japanese woman to reach a Grand Slam finals. She beats Madison Keys and now has set up a finals with Serena Williams.

It will be good news for Japan if Ken Nishikori can muster enough strength to beat Novak Djovokic. It will be historic to see Japan in both side of the division fighting for the US Open trophy.
10043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 06, 2018, 08:54:35 PM
Wow. Nadal won in a thriller. They fought for almost 5 hours and won 7-6 (7-5) in the final set. Nadal started slow, quite unexpected of him,  but bounce back later and it was not easy, he was almost upset by Thiem here. But as tennis fans, we appreciate this kind of epic battle and sportsmanship at the end. Nadal vs del Potro next for the semis.

We can see that Thiem is going to be a great player in the near future and start to see him winning Grand Slam tournaments. Credit goes to Nadal fighting back from 0-6 in the 1st set to come out as the winner. Nadal is mentally tough which is why he is so hard to beat, the only guy that can match it with Nadal in this is Djokovic. I was close to a nice payday with Thiem but its all good as he did try his hardest last night.

Nishikori is through to the semi-finals after beating Cilic in 5 sets, Nishikori could be the dark horse as we know he does play well at the Us Open.

And down goes my dark horse which is Cilic. Anyways Nishikori is no push over as well, its just that he also endured some injuries this year that's why his name is not in the contention. But winning a Cilic will be a big motivation and could be the dark horse to pull some upsets leading to the finals.

Bitcoin Incognito(XBI)
*It has only 2 months life
* Instant transactions
*Low fees

It is the best ICO to trade anonymous, As soon as people realise it the price go to sky.
bitcoinincognito.org
I bet a huge amount of money on this altcoin, did I make a bad investment?

Is this another Bitcoin fork coin?

There are a lot of privacy coins in the market. Why makes this coins different from the rest of well established coins? And most of the advantages you mentioned is already present not just on privacy coins but other coins as well. So I don't see it mooning unless someone pumps the price to look like something from behind really likes this coin. However, artificial and fake volumes can be spotted as well. I can't comment on whether your make a bad investment or not, but I do hope that you do your homework and research before putting your hard earn money on this coins. Goodluck to you.
10045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Boring Ethereum on: September 06, 2018, 08:19:34 PM
At the moment, Ethereum feels very bad, but I think it will start to grow along with the whole market. Don't panic.

Its has bottom already or close to it. We all know that when coins experienced this kind of trend. The only way is to go up so I wouldn't lose hope in Ethereum. Besides devs from behind are very afraid so there's no need to panic here, but take advantage of a good buying points that Ethereum market is offering to all of us. When the time comes that it has fully recovered, we can go back and says that we shouldn't let this perfect opportunity slip out of our hands.
10046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: September 06, 2018, 07:56:14 PM
Here is a good trivia for everyone ever since the hand check rule was removed in 2004.

It was just Dirk Nowitzki whose position is forward/center who have won the season MVP when the rule was implemented.
After him are all guards and small forward which is only Lebron.

Steve Nash
Harden
Westbrook
Curry
Kobe

Why?
Hand check have been a great help before to keep up in front of shooters.
Before it was implemented MVP's are big men and only Jordan took a snatch out of it.

David Robinson
Shaq
Tim Duncan
Karl Malone

It is also said that there have been issues with NBA regarding profits since people are getting exhausted seeing just big men taking the throne.
They also want to see new shooters.

Any comments? Is the NBA league really getting soft?

Of course NBA has evolved a lot but I'm not saying its getting soft. Perhaps coaches find ways to offset what the big Centers or Power Forwards we have seen in the past. Like D'Antoni's 7 second rule for instant, its a fast pace game and I don't think that Centers are the 'center' of that kind of plays anymore. Although as NBA fans, we really missed those days when Pistons used to dominate and intimated teams with the way they played.
10047  Economy / Marketplace / Re: John McAfee's Unhackable Bitfi Wallet Is Hacked Again on: September 06, 2018, 07:39:16 PM
Good for him, hes nothing but a hype artist. He was collecting payment to pump altcoins last year during the acrive phase of the bull market. He was paid by someone which the community assumes is Adam Guerbuez to pump Burst which made it look bad.

Exactly, he is not a type of person that we should take seriously. Initially he was a self proclaimed media/influencer. And then later it was unmasked that he is charging for his "coin of the day" tweet. Exorbitant in the 5 digit figure. I don't know why people are attracted to him and willing to pay him that much money. And to make matters worst, he said that his twitter account was hacked, LMAO.
10048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I LOVE PANIC SELLERS on: September 06, 2018, 07:21:01 PM
Lol. Who wouldn't love those noobs selling whenever their is a FUD and then bitching out later that they lost a lot of money in the market. But if you are going to close at them, they don't have any strategy, they put their money hoping that it will grow overtime. But when there's a FUD, they immediately sold off everything and cry later that their investment didn't grow in crypto ecosystem. On the bright side, strong hands are laughing their ass off and take advantage of the situation by buying cheap coins and becoming a bagholder.

Crypto market crashes after Goldman reportedly scraps trading plans

The crypto market is down significantly today, practically across the board of all coins, following a report that claims Goldman Sachs  has backed down on plans to start a dedicated cryptocurrency trading desk.

https://techcrunch.com/2018/09/05/bitcoin-and-the-crypto-market-is-crashing/

Been looking around as to what may have brought the price of bitcoin again as I was not expecting a sudden dump because indicators shows that we are having a healthy growth in the last couple of years. Do you think this news causes the market to go below $7K again? Or this news will just have a short term effect and we can recover what we have lost today (like $300)?
10050  Economy / Economics / Re: Who is the richest person? on: September 05, 2018, 06:06:15 PM
Don't forget the big drug mafia, they obviously have a lot of wealth but are not tracked, so they won't put their names on the list of the richest people in the world.  Cheesy

Good call, Escobar was worth around billions already during his height of fame. And it he continues and adjusted to this day, Probably close to a Trillion as well. I guess only legitimate businessman like Bezos and Bill Gates and W. B. net assets can be found because they're high celebrity profiles. But I will assume that somewhere around the globe, there's some family or person whose net worth is more than the 3 combined.
10051  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can my BTC used for real world trading in the future? on: September 05, 2018, 05:11:12 PM
Is there something I can do with my tokens? I mean buy or trade my BTC’s for something real. Guys, if any of you know any such live/upcoming projects do let me know here thanks!

Of course, as long it has been listed on a exchange already it can be traded anytime. But as far as live/upcoming, lol, are you serious? why don't you DYOR because no one will spoon-feed you here. Majority of us hear started and busted our ass finding new and trusted ICO projects. If you are not sure and don't know where to look for upcoming projects then I suggest you go around the forum and see it for yourself.

It just shows how mentality tough Rafa 0-6 first set? That's unheard of. He is a fast starting, perhaps he just give up that first though and then focus on the succeeding sets. Yes, I would have to agree that its not easy and maybe the breaks in this game went on his way on the final set. But still, a win is a win. And I'm sure that Nadal vs Del Potro will be another fun games to watch.
10053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tokens or coins? on: September 02, 2018, 11:47:36 PM
The crypto platform token and coins both have same value because already listed in market so we should expect the long live depends on demand of the projects. The current situation coins is more stable in market and peoples are believe the coins not a token so coins are more demand in crypto market.

What do you mean same value? Its doesn't depends on the demands of the project, they should have real usage in the first place. If tokens doesn't have any usage at all then it will died down, just like the rest of them (80%-90%). While Bitcoin or Ethereum will continue to exist despite of the demands slowing down. So its better to invest on coins rather than a token whose life span  is less than 2 years.

Anyone heard of https://coinswitch.co/?

As per their FAQ:

What is our transaction fees?

CoinSwitch charges a fee of 0% to 0.75% depending on the exchange you select for your transaction. The conversion rate you see is inclusive of the fees.
Note: This fees does not include any amount charged by the exchange itself and the network fee.

This is there ANN thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2041972.0

Not much is written on their thread though so the best thing to do for me is to test it.

I just took a look at their site, and it seems like they're simply an intermediary to other instant exchanges. (Shapeshift, ChangeNow, Changelly)

I don't really understand their business model, or why anyone would ever use them. As your basically using a thirdparty ontop your exchange, while that is completely unnecessary, and potentially dangerous. ( I have no clue who operates Coinswitch & how trustworthy they are..)

You can simply see what site offers the best exchange rate, and then go to that site yourself.. cutting CoinSwitch.co out completely.

Thanks man, I was thinking of using them but have second doubts now. ChangeNow, hmmm, I dunno, there's been some scam accusations so I guess I need to look for more alternatives or probably wait for your service,  Wink

~snip~
I'm not a fan of him but whenever there are old timers that are announcing their retirements I'm also thinking that I'm getting old. Too many legends are going to be added to the list as well. I don't want to see any more of these retirements.

Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter are I think the next ones. They aren't veteran. They are now oldies lol. 40+ age.
Oh boy my boys Dirk Nowitzki and Vince Carter I forgot that they are still playing and I've heard that Vince is playing for his last season, this year. Man, we are growing old and these prime superstars are also retiring soon.

LMAO, I know that you still remember Vince Carter Slam Dunk in 2000 mate. That's 18 freaking years ago.. So we are definitely getting older as well.  Grin. Dirk on the other hand is inching closer to Wilt record plus he only missed a couple of games I think last season so definitely he is not retiring.

Dirk had extended his contract to 1 year, probably he's just testing his capabilities to go against the youngins in the league today. As we all know, the era he had when he was in his prime was completely different than today's. Player has evolved, when dont see as many centers who can shoot 3's before than today.

Yeah, most probably, but if we are going to based from his last years performance, he remains healthy so we hope that he can continue and breaks Chamberlain record before finally retiring. Yes players evolved, he is one of the pioneers back in the days wherein a big guy can shoot 3's. A good read for all Dirk fans:

10057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICOs should only create Tokens with Working Product(s) on: September 01, 2018, 04:57:09 PM
Enough of people just creating tokens just for the sole purpose of trading it in exchanges and making money after the ICO. In order for a token to survive or stand the test of time, there is need for it to have a working product or service it directly supports. This is what a lot of tokens are lacking today.

In my opinion, any token to be created should bring in something new. It must be a token that will add value to the society and not just for the purpose of trading it in exchanges and cashing out money.

If we actually want cryptocurrency to survive and appeal to the ordinary people, then we must create ONLY tokens relevant to the society's needs or solves at least a particular societal problem.

If this is the case then there's no need for ICO's because it seems that there's no unique project coming up and everything was redundant. I understand your sentiments but there's no regulatory body to enforce or implement this policy. So short term, project are going to be born every day, duplicates of other project in the past but still gullible investors are wiling to put up investments. This is how the game is played and I don't think it will simply evolve overnight. I'm not saying I don't agree with you, what I'm trying to drive up is that is going to be difficult because the market is free.
10058  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your Zen Kohan for your experiences with Bitcoin and Life. on: September 01, 2018, 04:30:38 PM
Retirement on crypto (BTC and altcoins of many flavors) has its issues. As the price of BTC and/or your altcoins drop, you get depressed and spend your crypto cash like a drunken sailor.

On the other hand, the price of your crypto of any flavor goes up and you are happy and also spend money like a drunken sailor

(ah the fear of being unemployed at one time kept my spending in check...no more)

just saying, you spend cash now like every day is a weekend Sad

Damn mate you really hit the bullseyes with this statement.  Smiley

And that's what going on with me currently, I spend cash like its always a Christmas season or even someone commented that I spend too much as if I have 2 families to feed.  Grin
10059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 6400% price up..wtf!!! Anyone noticed this coin on: September 01, 2018, 04:21:31 PM
Obviously, the pumpers are doing their thing. Never heard of this coin and I guess majority of us did, so I'm not surprised if even the devs is colluding with some of the pumps group so that this coin will take notice. However, we all know what happens next, and if you are gullible enough to enter, be ready for the trap, because once the pumpers knows that someone is buying besides them, they will simply dump everything in an instant. No need to ride the waves because its too late, you will be trap, and the only way to get out is to suffer a lost.
10060  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Main reason behind crypto currencies red market in 2018 on: August 31, 2018, 11:53:59 PM
Current year has been bit worst for crypto coins. Apart from values, we have ICOs in the market with best projects. So what happened is the investment spill over too many ICOs and thus bitcoin value remained below $6.5K . This is another reason for all altcoins values remain under a threshold. Hope we have more investors pitch in investing into bitcoin.
I think the main reason for the market being red in 2018 is because there is a big dump or a big correction after the very high increase in 2017, so far I can still feel the value of crypto in the market can still be normal because it can last above $5k. So I personally don't feel worried about this situation. In addition, all ICO projects are also experiencing a difficult period because many negative issues are circulating.

Big dumps and there's no assurance that the market will bounce back are some of the reason why we haven't recovered and still in the bear reason. The market is really unpredictable, if you thought that it will recover, some retracement follows. Bad ICO is also a contributory factors, which so many scams going, investors are reluctant to pour their cash again. And noobs who got burned, doesn't want to go back in fear of losing more money.
