10061  Economy / Speculation / Re: The future of Bitcoin on: November 29, 2015, 11:36:21 AM
The future is definitely bright enough to make people believe into Bitcoin. I hope a government will give Bitcoin a chance and adopt it as currency alongside their own fiat currency. I am sure African countries and South American countries will benefit from it and see their economy get a massive boost. There has to be only 1 government to start things off and show the rest what Bitcoin means for them. Other countries will then follow.
10062  Economy / Economics / Re: When do you buy Bitcoin ? on: November 29, 2015, 11:29:53 AM
I only buy Bitcoin when it is getting dumped to the ground, that's when I do buy low and sell high. Other than that, I buy Bitcoin when there are large enough price swings to profit from, but that's purely for day trading purposes.
10063  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-11-28] Kenyan President Nominates BitPesa Board Member for Cabinet on: November 29, 2015, 11:18:54 AM
I like this news. I really hope he will use his knowledge and experience in a good way to promote Bitcoin within the Kenyan government. And who knows what will happen if he successfully manage to cooperate Bitcoin in their economy. That will show what Bitcoin is really capable of.
10064  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-11-28]NextBank Secures $950,000 in Seed Capital! on: November 29, 2015, 11:10:04 AM
I am wondering if the $950k is a start of the funding process. NextBank needs more than that amount to be operational. Some people claims it is a scam. I hope not.

Of course it's a start. I am sure they will have several more funding rounds to make sure they have enough liquidity in their bank. I hope it will push Bitcoin adoption by non tech people in the right direction. We'll see where it goes from here.

What people claim NextBank is a scam? Isn't it a bit to early at this point to call it a scam while it has not been launched yet...
10065  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ISIS is not satisfied with bitcoin, they made their own currency on: November 29, 2015, 10:55:58 AM
The media is desperately trying to put Bitcoin in a bad daylight. It's normal to create a new currency when you are not happy with how fiat works or even how Bitcoin works. We are in Bitcoin because we don't like the fiat financial industry. That's why Bitcoin is perfect for us.
10066  Economy / Speculation / Re: 360$ , what going on ? on: November 28, 2015, 10:50:12 AM
Whenever I see one of these jumps I ask myself when are we going to see the big one, beginning of a halving rewards rush. Cause we will see it soon. I expect between 2k-3k per BTC by this summer.

Can we first reach $1000 before dreaming about $2000-$3000 prices? The halving will surely cause a great rally, but it has to be seen if we end up at a price near $1000 or even over it.
10067  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bank or Bitcoin Wallet? on: November 28, 2015, 10:42:07 AM
bitcoin wallet in paper... then no one can touch it, i can store as much money and no tax !!!
This is the best thing to do I think

It depends on where you live. Each government have a different policy when it comes to taxing Bitcoin as form of wealth. If you hide it, then indeed you don't have to pay tax. But if they somehow find out you have a lot coins in a wallet somewhere, they will surely find a way to tax you Wink
10068  Economy / Speculation / Re: Back to $ 400 soon? on: November 28, 2015, 10:16:18 AM
$400 was quite obvious consisting the peek in last 24 hours .However we are expecting it to cross $500 in the next 24 hours .Would me magic if it does ! The worst part is ,it shouldn't fall down after the black Friday thing gets over .

The thing is, the trend during these events seem to go up due to Bitcoin Black Friday and goes down up until the end of the year. But idk if this year it would be a different scenario considering the fact that we've been in the green for 6 consecutive weeks, the first time in this year.

I am not so sure it's because the Black Friday thing. Everyone keeps mentioning it but I am not convinced. Last year we had another Black Friday and the price hasn't nudge one bit.

For me, this is more the continuation of the trend and big rise that we had few weeks ago that  the Black Friday thing!

We'll find it out very soon. If this indeed a black friday pump. If it goes down the day after black friday, which happens to be today, then we'll know it for sure.

Right at the moment we are hovering around $355! I doubt the dump wil come right away today or even tomorrow if this indeed was a Black Friday pump!

Let's give it a few days as we also have to deal with cyber monday. If we don't go much lower than $350, then we can consider it a legit upwards movement.
10069  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good long term investment to buy 1 BTC today? on: November 28, 2015, 10:09:23 AM
Long term investment in bitcoin is very much safe, you can understand it by this;
There was a man who brought bitcoins when they worth pennies of about $15 and when the price jumped to $1150 you can imagine that how much he have gained for a mere investment of $15.

You can also imagine the guy who bought bitcoins at $1000 each two years ago, and now they're worth $300 each. Long term didn't turn out so good for him, and he probably feels like an idiot now.

You know why that dude is feeling like he is an idiot? Because he IS an idiot. The price went up from around $200 to over $1000 within a month. That must raise a huge red flag. Every one who bought over $1000 were gamblers hoping it would go probably to $1500-$2000.

Commons sense people. What goes up HARD, comes down HARD. If you bought your coins for example at $125 in september 2013 and kept your coins in your wallet till now, then you made yourself a nice profit. That's how longterm works. Smiley
10070  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 3 Bitcoin Doomsday Scenarios I can't find much discussion on... on: November 28, 2015, 09:56:59 AM
how about the current doomsday?
There are a lot of big problems concerning Bitcoin now, mainly the fork problem which needs to be addressed due future blockchain bloat, the exchanges being hacked, and the mainstream public still not being able to understand Bitcoin let alone use it, which translates on a shitty price.

Time will prove us right tho.

It takes a lot time before people get convinced to give Bitcoin a chance. A lot people at the very beginning when they hear about Bitcoin they are quite skeptical and think in a negative way. If you explain everything to them in an easy manner, then they surely will let their skeptical way of thinking vanish and turn that into a positive when they see Bitcoin has a real purpose and will benefit us all.
10071  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is happening to BTC price? on: November 28, 2015, 09:46:58 AM
It is correction and prices are to go much higher this time solidly and on permanent basis to remain there.

Next peak will be around $800. It will come down again to $500 and consolidate there. This could happen next January.
$800 is not a realistic number ATM, Achieving $500 peak this year is more likely than achieving $800 peak.

$800 is definitely not a realistic target for this year. If we manage to break through the $400 price level this year, then we have seen a very nice increase over the entire year. I don't think the $350 will hold much longer as the support at that level is very weak.
10072  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-11-28] Suspected Black Friday Phishing Site Alert on: November 28, 2015, 09:37:15 AM
People must look better at the actual domains they are visiting. If they paid close attention to that, then they wouldn't fall for phishing site scams. At days like black friday people only seem to care about the cheapest deals, and not look at the details of the site that is offering the deals.
10073  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy BTC Now Or Wait Till Exchange Rate Drops In January? on: November 27, 2015, 10:20:22 PM
Buy at $1600-3200

This made my evening  Cheesy

OP; What makes you think the rate will drop in January? I am fairly sure the price in January won't be much lower than current price level. Stop with waiting, and start with buying. It makes no sense to wait that long and risk buying coins at a price higher than $500.
10074  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it a waste of time mentioning Bitcoin to friends and family? on: November 27, 2015, 10:13:24 PM
I own a restaurant ,but the most clients that comes here usually around 30 years and above it,soo try to say hey i accept bitcoin to them may lead me into some problems as they for sure doesnt know what it is,i will be using a pin or something with the symbol of bitcoin and im sure some people will ask about it,i had thinked to make a tatoo but that well its too much, but would impact who see and the curiosity.

In what country is your restaurant located, if I may ask? 30 years and above is an age that allows people to think correctly about their money and future savings. I am sure these people will be interested if they know exactly what Bitcoin is and what it does.

You can also create a custom Bitcoin related sticker that you can stick on your front window with nice big letters that will draw attention of customers and others.

Something like this for example:

10075  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN IS BETTER THAN WESTERN UNION ? on: November 27, 2015, 10:05:04 PM
-snip-

You are right when it comes to localbitcoins. But what if in many places in the world there are ATM's that support fiat to Bitcoin and vice versa. If you send some one $1000 worth of Bitcoin with a 0.0001 BTC fee, and the receiver can cash out his coins for fiat in a Bitcoin accepted ATM against a 0.1% fee for example, then it is definitely cheaper.

I quite like the idea of overtaking WU by placing ATMs worldwide to let people instantly cash out their received coins. If there is a Bitcoin ATM in every supermarket and popular stores, then we definitely can surpass WU and kick their azz. I hope it becomes reality in the future.

I am only not sure how the policies regarding the cashouts will work out since Bitcoin in each country is being treated differently. Especially as Bitcoin is being seen as a tool to launder money and finance people with wrong intentions.

10077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do you trade? on: November 27, 2015, 10:25:06 AM
My exchange of choise is Bitstamp since 2013. Beside fully trading at Bitstamp I also do some occasional trading on BTC-E. I never hold coins on an exchange if I am not trading at that moment. If I am done trading for the moment, I cash out everything to my pc wallet. If I want to do some trading again the next day, I simply deposit the coins again.
10078  Economy / Speculation / Re: 360$ , what going on ? on: November 27, 2015, 10:19:33 AM
Just sold some coins at 320$ yesterday, you're definatly kidding me, right?

As long as you have made a profit, then there is nothing to worry about. I had sold some coins at $365 during the previous rally. The price then went to $500 shortly after me selling at $365 Cheesy
10079  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will this bitcoin will go down? on: November 27, 2015, 09:57:06 AM
Most likely scenario; The longer you are waiting, the higher the price will get. If you plan to invest for the short term, then I would wait and see what happens after black friday. If you want to hold your coins at least for a year, then you can safely buy right now, even when the price looks "high" for the time being.
