10121  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: November 03, 2015, 06:38:51 AM
As a newb I've really enjoyed using faucets to make small amounts of Bitcoin to mess around with. I don't waste hours a day clicking on faucets, but at the same time gain about 10-20 cents to mess around with per week. Granted I could just as easily find a way to purchase $20 worth of part of a BTC, but at the same time the faucets have showed me how to set-up a wallet and send and receive money. I've been able to "invest" some money into some loans at BTCJam and Loanbase. Finally I've learned how to set-up paper wallets and more secure BTC storage all with "free" satoshi. I don't know how much is required to start trading, but I hope I can work my way up to that slowly as well. I'm not looking to get rich. Just educate myself about the world of bitcoin. Actually, coinbrawl was what first got me interested in bitcoin. Without those avenues I'd probably still have no clue or interest about bitcoin.

I may not be in the majority, but faucets (in my opinion) still serve a purpose.

Yup! this is true, in my newbie days I am using lot of faucets to earn a lot until now but has lessen a bit, and on faucets don't think about the earning think about the learning you will get by using faucets, this will be a head start for you in using bitcoin wallets, trading and experience in converting it to dollar and other currencies, because bitcoin can now be useful in everyday lives.

10124  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: November 02, 2015, 01:30:37 PM
Bitcoins have gained too much popularity nowadays , they are turning our to be an amazing cashless currency . Faucets are a basic method for earning some small btc. But, they've  become useless and bad..here's why
(1) They pay very very very low-- They pay 100-200 satoshis at once which is very low...
(2) Time consuming-- They eat up your time, paying you nothing in round off figure
(3) Some websites are fraud-- Some websites make you click wrong ads for their own good and pay you nothing, hence cheating you.

Well there is no easy money, everyone needs to work to get paid, faucets are like works if you work pretty hard you can gain lots, if you want easy money there is an illegal job for you, and you might get arrested because of it, and another easy money is gambling but gambling have a 50/50 chance of gaining money from it sometime you can lose all your money from it.
10125  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin CEO spent stolen funds to Buy Sex on: November 02, 2015, 12:41:47 PM
"Bitcoin CEO spent stolen funds to buy sex".

First, who gives a shit!

Second (and most important), it's headlines like this that lead people to believe that Bitcoin was created by Mt. Gox. "Bitcoin CEO"...there is no bitcoin CEO. Bitcoin is not a business to be managed. Does "Euro CEO spent stolen funds..." make sense? NO! So why do you write "Bitcoin CEO"?

Yup! I read the article OP must have misunderstand it, as you have said CEO of mt. gox and he's just using bitcoin for transactions that is all, I think many have misread it, since OP's subject is bitcoin CEO! and I have to add up he's one thug dude in using funds that are not his in dirty transaction he's one mess dude.
10126  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In-game purchases using bitcoin on: October 31, 2015, 09:31:44 AM
I see this way will work too,

Familiar with mol.com? It's an online game reloading site. It supports most of the online game but adding game credits there are not yet possible thru bitcoin payment. If mol.com will adopt bitcoin then purchasing in-game items in all of its supported games are possible.

But how about those that not supported by this reloading site like COC?

One way is, if Google will allow us to reload our Google wallet thru bitcoin. This is much better than direct payment in-game to avoid confirmation time. This is already discussed in the past but I don't know the current status of it now.

I Think this is a good idea, but if mol.com and google play will collaborate with bitcoin? well atleast their transactions will be safe to government issues or maybe taxes too hehe well I have heard certain issues with paypal before, and I think paypal need to learn something from bitcoin.

I wish to see those discussion but maybe it has been 120 days old now and they never bother to post on there anymore so I think maybe we can recreate a new one. Tongue

10128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe BITCOIN in ONE word. on: October 30, 2015, 01:52:41 PM
Priceless reason why is that it gives a lot of equal power to its user which other payment methods limit each user  base on their geographical location and the freedom it has gave to me it can't be measured as is really high

Good to see reasonable comment once in awhile in this thread, OP really done something for spammers but well I think this thread caught my attention too giving just 1 word of advice, hehe another word I will give will be

HOPE you can surely hope for bitcoin to progress and grow over the years and bitcoin has come a long way even today! Grin
10129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin CEO spent stolen funds to Buy Sex on: October 30, 2015, 01:47:03 PM

10130  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Free electricity on: October 30, 2015, 01:14:46 PM
Be careful with "free electricity" someone has to pay for it. That someone might be very unhappy if they find out that the usage multiplied.

If they found out! I think if it is an apartment type then you have a free internet then it's a big yes that your land lord will found out about it, but there is free internet like solar, wind, and hydro powered electricity that provide free electricity,
10131  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In-game purchases using bitcoin on: October 30, 2015, 12:09:02 PM
I doubt there is, if the app is from the playstore and or appstore, the only option you got there is to use telecom and or creditcard, also paypal.
I've seen an app here that is being develop by a guy named BitTaky (I'm not sure). It's an appstore where you can use bitcoin to purchase an app, I don't know if in-app purchase is also included but I think it is.

But I think that there are few, I know there are android application that can gain bitcoins why does there isn't any game that could buy game necessities it will be great, and it will be a secure transaction for both parties.

Guys meron ba ibang trusted exchange site aside from coins.ph?

10135  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for local transactions on: October 30, 2015, 11:26:18 AM
- http://shadowlife.cc/2012/11/secure-and-professional-bitcoin-otc-exchanges

I haven't completed all that many in-person trades myself but more than once now I have been asked to sell for cash an amount of bitcoins larger than any amount I would be selling by myself.  But had I previously gotten in contact with other traders in my area a larger trade amount probably could have been arranged since that would allow me to have to trade only up to my personal max level and then also there would be two or more of us present when the cash traded hands.

As far as buying bitcoins from an untrusted stranger, the risk of double spending (due to either a Race attack or a Finney attack) is significant enough to require at least one confirmation (or a Green address transfer or a service such as a LocalBitcoins "Transaction" where the funds released to the buyer would always be already-confirmed funds).

One challenge with in-person trading is with communications and coordinating the meet.  Unless you are already planning on spending a couple hours at a coffee shop or wherever, make sure to specify in advance your expectations otherwise you'll often be stuck waiting for your trading partner to show, oftentimes in vain.

For a recent trade the buyer arrived on time but he needed to get cash from an ATM.  It was only then that he learned that his bank account has a low maximum daily withdrawal amount, leaving me holding more bitcoins (and less cash) than I had planned.  Had I confirmed that the buyer had cash in-hand before even setting a meeting time and location is something that would have saved me time, money and the resulting headache

That is a very reliable matter but I think you need to be ready or very precaution at all times you will never know what will happen on a trade, planning would be good and having a second option will be great too, if plan A doesn't work go to plan B and it is always good to have a plan C just in case.
10136  Economy / Economics / Re: Making a living online (recreate) on: October 30, 2015, 09:46:05 AM
Defo agree with this, it is very rewarding to have your own site and actually make sales.  Im just starting out but already found some good success. Feels ways better than using 3rd party like ebay aswell.

I'd pick good geniune long term ways to make money online vs get rich quick ways which wont last.  If you want to never have a boss you need ideas which are going to last 10 years+

That's good for you it is always better for a long term business than getting rich in the easiest way, well your saying your site is like ebay? may I know the link of your site so I could see it maybe your site have something I'm looking for Grin
10137  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: In-game purchases using bitcoin on: October 30, 2015, 09:33:44 AM
I just noticed that when making in-game purchases on Android devices, the only payment method is using telecom or credit card. Is there a way that purchases can be made through Bitcoin?

I think this is a great opportunity to make Bitcoin even more popular. Gamers will be introduced to using Bitcoin as a currency.

What do you think of this? Or is it already being implemented, and I am not just aware of it?

I think there are other games accepting bitcoin as payments but I think just a few in numbers

well introducing bitcoin in games as payment well curious players that doesn't have knowledge about bitcoin will research about it and use it for purchases in that game. Grin
10138  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: In 2015, faucets are bad for bitcoin on: October 30, 2015, 09:19:12 AM
Yes. Faucets are for new bitcoiners. If you want someone to get into bitcoin means showing faucets will work better for them to understand how bitcoin system fundamentally works and how to receive payments from that how we can send payments all there are possible with virtually free money.

Yup! I totally agree with you dude, if there are newbie's to bitcoin I am always introducing them to faucet just to have a slight crypto in their bitcoin wallet, and I think even though faucet only give small amount there is no 1 bitcoin if it weren't to 1 satoshi

This forum has a few ways to earn income but it sure is not a stable income. Coding and programming is by far the best way to make a stable healthy income on the internet. The more I learn about coding, the more opportunities come up

Yup coding is one of the best way to earn online, but nevertheless not everyone is familliar with coding there are still other ways to earn online aside from coding that certain people can rely on, there is online job that pays you by reviewing calls, Encoding,  webdesign and a lot more.

Webdesign, and all design skill can make income for us. It's not hard to start learn design on photoshop, corel, illustrator or any software from youtube.

Everytime you need fresh idea to make new design, visit youtube. There are tons good people who sharing their skill in there.

Yup designing are great stuff and my favorite of all jobs on the net, and you can now rely on youtube to enhance your knowledge in webdesigning,

That is one great advice for people who wants to try webdesign tutorials on youtube are very useful too. Grin
