10161  Economy / Economics / Re: USD vs BTC on: May 01, 2016, 09:41:00 AM
It's the case for Gold because it exists since "forever" a while Bitcoin exists since seven years so nop .. It's not more popular then USD or any other fiat currency.
10162  Other / Meta / Re: Beta of new forum software now officially open on: May 01, 2016, 08:01:50 AM
I just made a new topic on the New Forum software section , Hopefully people will use it . that way developers will have to visit one place in order to check for bugs , suggestions etc ... : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1456167.new#new
I disagree with this one even though I appreciate the effort. If anything, you should do this on the new forum and not here. There was already a 'Master Bug' thread, but the bug list got moved to Github. This way the developers would have to check both forums in addition to Github (which is more than redundant).

I didn't knew about that , honestly I don't like the design at all so could you please link me where I should post on Github instead ?

10164  Other / New forum software / [Feedback] Post your new forum feedback here on: May 01, 2016, 07:53:25 AM
I thought It would be better to make one topic and include everything related to the new forum software (feedback) about the Beta https://beta.bitcointalk.org/ , that way developers won't have any issue finding our topics etc...

It's recommended to use the following BBcode to split between feedbacks/suggestions/bugs report :
Code:
[br]

I'm going to start :

Two Factor Authentification : I thought we are supposed to see that on the new forum software but I don't see it for the moment. (Google should do the job) . If you are planning to implant it then It should be available for Beta so we test and check that everything is okay.

Design : It's definitely NOT what I was waiting for honestly , a Dark theme should be available and with the current one ... you can't even make difference between the Sub categories titles & descriptions etc ...

I just started looking at it so that's all for the moment , I will be posting more in the near future .

10165  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think for May??? on: May 01, 2016, 07:40:19 AM
In my opinion , we won't be going anywhere above 480$ this month. June & July in the other hand is another story (because of the halving).
10166  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do Bitcoin wallet GUI's look so basic? on: May 01, 2016, 07:18:54 AM
As far as I know you can submit as many requests as you want but they won't change it , I'm not sure where I read that but they are keeping this basic User interface because it was the original made by Satoshi . It's not that they can't , It's just that they don't want to.
10167  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Github student dev account for $5 (containing $50 digital ocean credit) on: May 01, 2016, 05:57:32 AM
If you haven't sent a vouch yet, I would be happy to receive it and leave a honest review based on the vouch.

i'll send the vouch soon. you have to follow regular rules for digital ocean i.e you can't use vcc and u have to register your paypal or credit card to use coupon codes. there is no limitation or expiry to the codes and it will work automatically without sending support ticket.

I had to sent support ticket personally and they changed their ToS there is expiry date (which is after 12 months If you are inactive I suppose , just go and read the tos to make sure).
10168  Economy / Digital goods / Re: game accounts on: April 30, 2016, 08:20:30 PM
PM me with the information's about both Clash of clans & Clash royale please (include everything needed : Price of course , gems , troops level , arena level (for CR)) etc ..
10169  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Github student dev account for $5 (containing $50 digital ocean credit) on: April 30, 2016, 06:18:39 PM
I used my Github student package before so you should let users know (If you don't already know) that you should deposit money into your DigitalOcean account in order to get the balance (you will need to send a support ticket with the coupon because the coupon won't work automatically ,at least this was the case for me).
10170  Economy / Securities / Re: Mycelium Crowdsale , Are you investing ? on: April 30, 2016, 12:51:12 PM
Sounds like they are in financial trouble.

I don't think so because they are planning to re work on the UI/UX and other stuff so I assume they need to pay more developers to work. : https://wallet.mycelium.com/concepts.html
10171  Economy / Securities / Mycelium Crowdsale , Are you investing ? on: April 30, 2016, 10:54:45 AM
It's going to start soon : https://wallet.mycelium.com/early-bird-registration.html
Here is the basic terms : https://wallet.mycelium.com/elements/licenses.html or :

Quote

You get the share of Mycelium and the right to receive money whenever Mycelium gets more expensive. Let's suppose that this time, with this crowdsale, it will be valued at 100 million USD. Imagine that when we sell another portion one year later it will be valued at 1 billion USD. So you will get 900 million USD multiplied by your portion (if you are the owner of 5% you will get 5% of 900 million = 45 million). Your initial investment stays with you: you keep owning this right and it is non-dilutable. The next 20% we sell will be dilutable.

Your portion is how much you invest divided by how much all participants invest altogether (during this round). And multiplied by 5% (that is the total share being sold). You guys all together will get 5%. No matter what.

This round of the crowdsale is the first one in Mycelium's history. The round is open from May 1st to May 18th. You can register early until May 1st and get a 10% discount (you pay 1BTC, we calculate it as 1.1BTC).

You are free to resell, gift, pledge your rights the way you want. In about a month you will be able to control your share of Mycelium right in Mycelium Wallet.

‘Mycelium’ refers to the Mycelium Wallet project alone. We are not selling our other projects now. The legal form is called 'Stocks Appreciating Rights'. You can keep those SARs in the form of Mycelium Tokens or potentially convert them later into class B shares of Mycelium SIA (this will require de-anonymisation of the Mycelium Token owner).

To make the rights secure and convenient, we created them in the form of digital blockchain based tokens (colored coins issued using the Colu.co protocol over regular Bitcoin blockchain). Each token incorporates the information about the contract terms.

Token owners can either sell them on the open market at any moment or redeem to us if conditions are met. The latter can be done in a number of events such as an IPO and issuance of new shares; a capital increase; a sale, merger, or acquisition of the entire company. Or you can later convert SARs to class B shares and receive dividends or sell shares.

The offer refers to the Mycelium Wallet project only. There will be no refunds. Token is not a security, is not listed, authorized, issued or traded on any regulated market. We do not guarantee that the value of tokens will increase.

It seems very interesting honestly , anyone of you planning to invest maybe ? personally I'm not sure how those things works so I'm not really sure If I should or not . It's open discussion so yeah .. Let's hear your thoughts;

10172  Economy / Service Discussion / OpenBazaar not working ? on: April 30, 2016, 09:56:13 AM
I know it's peer to peer which makes it weird ... I had an account (or whatever you call it) I opened it once OpenBazaar officially opened but I didn't open the executable since long time , now I wanted to check it out once again and I can't seem to login .

It says "Unable to connect to your server" and If I click "Save changes" or "Retry connection" It displays the same message without being able to connect. (I tried to SSL On or Off but same thing)
10173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why you enable 2FA. on: April 30, 2016, 09:48:45 AM
Glad to hear that, all your coins are safe because 2fa. I'm nut using 2FA though, but because of this topic, i will try using 2FA now, is it hard using 2FA ? Because i never use it.

It's easy , most of the time It require phone verification . the website will send you an SMS or phone call with a "code" you type the code (+ the ID & pass) on the website and you are logged .
So ... without your phone no one can really connect into your Blockchain.info (or other websites) accounts.
10174  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] CUSTOM Lynda Lifetime Account for $3 [Super Sale] on: April 30, 2016, 09:44:20 AM
is this the library card one? if yes it's not lifetime, just about a month

and the method to create it is everywhere

Yes I got a PIN and number for library or something like that but It's not working anymore . so It's not Lifetime as he is claiming .
10175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This is why you enable 2FA. on: April 30, 2016, 09:35:09 AM
I couldn't agree more with you mate . Still , people won't do that unless they get hacked .
Do you think people learned the lesson from what happened to Mt.gox for example ? Hell no ! they are storing their coins in other exchanges for long time and they will cry once It gets hacked so unless they get screwed I don't think they will do anything about it . It's the sad truth.

Btw , It's not that hard to make a FUD (Fully Undetectable) virus for a skilled programmer so having an anti virus won't change much if you are facing a skilled hacker/programmer .

10176  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [SELLING] CS:GO Case Keys @ $1.85 Each (Bulk discounts) TRUSTED SELLER on: April 30, 2016, 08:29:53 AM
I want to buy 15 Keys and I dn't accept vanilla,esports keys.

Master-P turned out to be a scammer as you can see on his trust profile also he didn't connect since 19 January so yeah ... you won't be able to trade with him.
10177  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What are the best VPS services that accept bitcoin? on: April 30, 2016, 07:57:31 AM
https://www.vultr.com/ I used them before and they are pretty good , never had any issues with them personally .
10178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is The Lightning Network ? on: April 29, 2016, 07:23:44 PM
Great question to be honest i am not sure my self but i think it has something to do with require lwss information in the chain , something like that. Huh

I'm not sure if you are spamming or you simply didn't see the answers but Lauda explained pretty much everything about it : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1454243.msg14700597#msg14700597

@Everyone , thank you for your answers. I will keep this topic open for further discussions Smiley
10179  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] CUSTOM Lynda Lifetime Account for $3 [Super Sale] on: April 29, 2016, 11:48:04 AM
Vouch copy that I got from you is no longer working so I assume those accounts you are selling are not "Lifetime" as well .
10180  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS][VOUCHED] Unlimited Lifetime Lynda Account for $5 BTC ONLY on: April 29, 2016, 11:46:45 AM
Account that I got from OP is no longer working (from the vouch copy) so consider my vouch as invalid.
