Wall observer... nobody say something about these big ask walls?

Yea, manipulation to buy even more cheap coins. Nothing more, these coins really are not for sale.

$540 was safe bottom buy three times now.  Cool

Watch out, we will still get one deep mid $54x in a matter of minutes.
1026  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2014, 02:14:45 AM
Will Stamp just keep on going on down or will the sheep at one point understand that selling on Stamp because of Gox is as stupid as it gets?

How you don't get tired of this crap?  Huh
1027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2014, 01:15:23 AM
Gox is lowering the price so when it goes under zero you will need to pay them to take you coins + fee.
1028  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2014, 01:08:05 AM
Have 100 BTC buy orders @stamp from 490 down to 420. Not sure if I should cancel them? Looks not good for Bitcoin  Cry

Bitcoin is dead, face it this little tulip game is over. It was fun for a while but now we have to go to 0 again, just like MtGox. Tongue

True, and so it doesn't matter where you buy at $400, $200 or $100. If coins will be worth $0 the quanitty doesn't matter.

Thx for this  Grin
1031  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why didn't MtGox halt trading like they've done in the past? on: February 20, 2014, 11:14:57 PM
Because he needs to buy cheap coins so he can reopen withdrawals for coins he is missing and make some more money over that  Wink

Could be true, but who is the big bot seller (Willy)? Gox?

Looks like a stamp bottom to me here.

It looks like a fight to find it, but I am now fixing my buys a little lower - I can't smell the scent of optimism...

Yep, I want UP, but I don't feel it yet.   I won't mention the G-word - but if Andreas is right and it can run on for four weeks (as I have previously posted) this one will grind on for a while yet...

Even if Gox comes out right now, and admits to being insolvent, how low do you think we will go? Under $500 on stamp? I doubt it.

I think Gox will just do what they did with fiat withdrawals last year, i.e. 6 month queue or something like that to get your BTC out, or daily 0.1 BTC limits. They will just become more and more irrelevant.

Under $500 in 10 minutes...

Why?

Edit: Gox going from $900 to $100 has only moved Stamp from $800 to $570. Another $100 drop on Gox isn't going to hurt that much.

Why not? Because of panic, FUD, stop loss orders... There was not really large drop till now because we actually don't know anything at all about the gox situation, everything are only guesses. When we get any reliable fact, market will move sharply - UP or DOWN.

Have just requested withdrawal of 30btc. Status: "Waiting to be processed"

I waited yesterday the whole night and in the morning BTC arrived.
1035  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 20, 2014, 07:17:33 PM
looks like mtgox will hold at 109ish... bottom is in. I dont see 5000 more btc being panic sold and people are sending gox fiat.

80% of these walls around $110 are probably dumper bids (selling to himself).

People who are scared of Bitcoin regulation are dumbest souls on the planet.

It+s the most bullish thing ever to happen to Bitcoin.

True, although someone screaming for freedom (which bitcoin offers) is hurt by regulation quite a bit. But expecting no regulation at all is ridiculous.

First, let me compliment your screen name. Probably my favorite line from Dune.
Your questions are all good and I hope my previous answers mostly addressed them. Just a few additional notes: 1. We hope regulatory clarity will attract exchanges to the United States. I suspect that they are staying offshore right now because they don't know what the rules of the road here are or will be. 2. We do hope that regulation will create a level of certainty that could incentivize banks to promote not stifle these innovations. I also suspect there are banks who are quite interested in the technology but are being risk averse for now in the absence of regulatory clarity. 3. I think Secretary Lew was expressing that money laundering, in whatever form, needs to be dealt with seriously.

Stamp or gox?

Why would anyone buy goxcoin on bitcoinbuilder when they can just wire money to Gox and buy at a much lower price? I mean if you want to buy lottery tickets, at least don't over pay for them.
Because it takes 10 days for their international bank wire.

10 days? Crap like this is why we need bitcoin in the first place.

24-48h with SEPA.

Bitcoin is not faster. First you have to buy them and the other part hast to exchange them back to local currency.
Problem is: In most countries converting btc to fiat is not that easy.

When you deposit EUR SEPA on gox do they automaticaly convert it to USD?
