1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - MMOCG - Update 23/Feb/14 on: February 23, 2014, 02:47:14 PM
Just sat here watching new teams spawn, refuse to move and stick pending,,,until they died. Oddly, not leaving coins when they died either.
Twice in a row that happened. That a new bug or one I just haven't encountered?
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - MMOCG - Update 23/Feb/14 on: February 23, 2014, 11:52:00 AM
If people took the time to read the posts in this thread they wouldn't need to ask most questions that keep being repeated, especially the 1st post which is updated. Snailbrain can't be answering here AND explaining stuff like affiliate programs being a non starter (there's no company to pay commissions or benefit from that) and how the game works ..and that he's aware of the current problems etc. AND working on it.

One thing HUK isn't is easy money for nothing, it's new, it's different, it's massively cheaper to get some than BTC, and it's not a month old yet. If you think you're going to get rich in weeks with HUC you're crazy and/or greedy. Whining on and on will only put potential players off which hurts HUC and you.

Once the new interface is up and running it will be nicer to play, awesome work. Then if we all spread the word people will join in and we'll all be off on a great ride. You might regret quitting as badly as early adopters of BTC do one day. Wink

Looking good, the smoother the game plays the more will jump onboard I think.

Dude, glance that that red trust...just ignore the fucker. Wink

You are fucker!! I close wallet and after this Runaway exception exlusion blablabla i trying recovery full backup open walelt after this send my message: Cannot recovery full database  Huh

I'm sure we are all willing to overlook your broken english (though it is very hard to understand you), and we understand your frustration but can you please stop cursing?! It is uncalled for.

I am running this program on 4 older computers. One of them is win xp. On the xp one it will freeze every now and then. I simply close then reopen the program. It still works.

If your harddrive is going bad there is not much anyone can do for it. (it might not ever work, but it is an issue on your end)

You can keep all your guys by backing up the wallet.dat,  You SHOULD already know this, you have been told this. Maybe you are to interested in either A trolling us, or B being to frustrated to understand. On a new install, you can copy your original wallet.dat back into the original place and your guys will all still be there.

Yes of course put wallet.dat after this re-download blockchain= syncronization 10 hours Smiley and all generals dies Cheesy

Then be careful with them until you solve the problem. Don't create lots of generals while you're having trouble. You're always going to lose generals or hunters anyway unless you don't sleep, 8 hrs sleep plus re-sync is almost sure to mean losses.

The admins for this coin need to make new servers or something. The game can't afford so many players I guess because more players = more lag. This is probably why the game isn't so popular, because of the lag and a low specs pc can't run it. I can't even play this game because it lags too much on my pc. Such a shame, its probably fun too. If the game is going to be made for phone devices, PLEASE make it for android as well.

It's one world, inside the blockchain - by lag, you mean pauses? the game is supposed to be slow, it's 1 minute per block.

the interface just needs some fixes/improvements which are being worked on

Low spec PC can easily run it.

The pain part is downloading the chain

i have this problem......5-6 minutes for 1 block after 20-30 sec ...

Freezes I'd guess. I get lots of this too, pendings, non responding..then bang everyone but you moved and you're dead or blew yourself up for nothing. Makes it very hard to play.

5-6 minutes for 1 block after 20seconds? what does this mean
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - MMOCG - Merged-Mineable - Scrypt/Sha256 on: February 22, 2014, 01:34:53 PM
Why now the price go very very down ? 2-3 weeks ago was easy to pick up coin and the price was 0.0027 BTC and now is very very hard and the coin is at 0.0008 !

Why?
Most people have yet to hear of it. Most exchanges have yet to include it. Most pools have yet to merge mine it. Things will change when they do. Why wouldn't someone merge mine HUC with BTC if they can ?
That should keep you busy for now.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - MMOCG - Merged-Mineable - Scrypt/Sha256 on: February 21, 2014, 07:24:59 PM
Also, begging for HUC isn't going to get you anywhere now, most of us gave quite a few away already, there was a large giveaway to start from the devs,  and they are harder to get now and that's not going to get better.

You can mine or buy them easily enough, it's not like a HUC is a BTC after all. A HUC or two won't last you long anyway.

I'd invest, a few dollars is all it takes. Same as a burger but a burger won't be worth more in 3 months time and you don't go stand outside McD begging for money to try their stuff do you?

The price you pay for being late to the party is a few dollars now, the price for not joining the party because you didn't want to risk a few dollars could be significantly more in years to come. Could be talking pizzas not burgers. Wink
1029  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [850 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: February 20, 2014, 11:33:50 PM
Lot's of theories floating around these days about the pool.

One fact is that the old timers (well if 6 months mining is an old timer) are lying low and by looks of the cluster performance the preponderance of evidence says those big rigs the "old timers" have are staying connected to the pool. Now if I were a betting man I'd put my money on the old timers knowing that things are ok in a general sense and problems will sort themselves out in time.

To look to the pool as the major fault when you still have training wheels on your rig is probably looking in the wrong place.

The "old timers" used GPUs , all this is brand new. Huge ASICs, massive difficulty, all new, always will be now. Work with evidence and facts not with mystical witchdoctor of bitcoin mining theories. I could spend all night quoting really fucking stupid things that "old timers" have said about mining and bitcoin, but an obvious one was the recent poll where the majority on this forum thought that XBT would hit 5k by the end of 2014, or Google / Paypal / Apple adopting bitcoin...none of which look likely now if you go on actual evidence.

Here's some more "old timers" predictions involving tech. http://www.techhive.com/article/155984/worst_tech_predictions.html Fuck old timers, use your logic. Wink

You're poor antminer performance is likely either misinterpreted information or something incorrect with your rig set up.  In spite of the recent system reporting problems the site is reporting accepted shares correctly presently for me. You should be able to cross check this value with your mining software for verification. With ants I recommend using bfgminer (latest build) as I have recently read the others may be experiencing issues with the units.

More likely the figures on Slush are wrong. I've got an ave of 1131992 Mhash/s on mine, but the 104275.221 speed has changed by less than 2% for those last ten...and CG miner has had a steady 145-154 range for the last month, I've been paying attention and it's only once been what Slush reported. That's quite a large difference, and if it's widespread ...massive.
1031  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [850 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: February 20, 2014, 09:56:11 AM
All 5 of my antminers are running and I'm getting 1.51 to 1.6 ghash/s out of them however the site only shows a little over 2ghash/s.  Is it issues with the site?

I rarely get the right rate on the site, 30% less some days. I'm hoping the ten block ave is right, but to be honest I'm about sick of all the issues lately on top of that..losing trust rapidly. 2/3 blocks a day isn't doing it for me at all either.

Just because something has been around a long time doesn't make it worth sticking with, we'd all be using pencils or typewriters based on that logic wouldn't we?

I can make more playing a game with no miner at all in Huntercoins than with an 150GH ASIC on Slush some days. That's nuts.
1032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - Dual Algo Scrypt / Sha256 on: February 19, 2014, 10:16:58 PM
Just a suggestion here, and there may be a good reason why it's not already done....why not kill off hunters who don't move for a period of time? Say 2 or 3 days? More coins to collect, less hunters, and we don't close the client expecting all our guys to be alive if we leave them out there anyway do we? Maybe only hunters carrying no HUC would do it.
The map's full of stationary avatars, they could be coins.
2 good incentives to play, to keep your hunters and there will be more coins to collect from dead players?
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - Dual Algo Scrypt / Sha256 on: February 19, 2014, 03:30:54 AM
holy shit snail I am sorry for your (and our collective) loss

Is there any sort of tribute or anything?

Huntercoin is his legacy, we can help it succeed.

Not updated for 10 days since last time I could play, it was trying to sync as it was but got stuck at 8 days so I updated to the latest version ..and now she'd like to sync 2 weeks but won't run for 2 minutes before windows closes it ..and the wallet is showing nowhere near what was in it before but it seemed to have the same transactions from me giving newbies some HUK to get going.

May as well delete the lot and see what happens from scratch since there's nothing much left to lose. Glad I couldn't play, losing a ton of HUK would truly suck.  Cheesy
1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Human Minable - Dual Algo Scrypt / Sha256 on: February 18, 2014, 01:28:08 AM
Not been able to run for a while, been busy...came back and the app stuck at 8 days sync, updated to latest version with 250 odd HUC in wallet, copied wallet.dat before update...now 2 weeks sync and 2.35 unconfirmed HUC in wallet, even when replaced wallet.dat in data dir.

Adding insult to injury I'm getting exceptions all over the place and refusal to play nicely so my newly empty wallet won't sync.

Sad
1037  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [850 TH] Slush's Pool (mining.bitcoin.cz); TX FEES + VarDiff on: February 13, 2014, 03:25:21 AM
Some irrelevent crap here lately, Slush is small now, hence the stats. Easy as that. Telling people to bugger off and being a dick doesn't help anyone, it makes it worse.

Variance has evened out the bad times in the past, but that's not happening so much recently maybe because it's a smaller pool after the bad times with less chance of making up the average. IF it stayed the same size then it would probably even out but if it reduces to any noticable extent that can't happen logically because Slush won't have the same hashpower to do it.

Larger pools have more stable average results, there is no grass, only logic.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: February 11, 2014, 07:49:02 PM
Ok I'll say it simply and then expound if needed...

Why is KNC getting a pass with their influx of hash?  Is it within their right to mine? sure.. But they're disrupting my wimpy miners hash every time they spike the hash.. I'm just gonna call it Pool flux cuz I have no other way to describe it, has anyone else noticed this?  I'm assuming if it's affecting my miners, it's doing so across the pool...

http://eligius.st/~wizkid057/newstats/userstats.php/1Nbq2XZaRsKknf5fcT2wTXvBS31PaUWSeX

Just overlay this with your own eligius screen..
and If not them, why don't they just say it's not them when asked here? crickets.. Wink

They're adding super amounts of hash to the network, which flies in the face of "we won't build anything for Q1 so people can make their ROI"  paraphrasing, can't for the life of me find that little gem on their website now. Anyone?

So they pretended they won't sell us anything new, to keep the difficulty stable, but they'll take all the revenue from us buying into them and their future boxes, and mine with those 28nm they have. and just spike the difficulty continually?

https://blockchain.info/charts/hash-rate

KNC's Plan B clearly shows that within a couple of months.. their business model has gone from.. Hey buy from us we need your business.. to. we could care less if you have boxes, we'll just mine and give you rations of cloud from us..  be careful everyone.. This has much bigger ramifications if gone unchecked..

I think you may add to that the fact that many of us bought KNC rigs based to some extent on what they promised and how much we trusted them. They were intent on supporting their customers and providing miners with rigs way into the future....until they no longer needed the cash..which was about November. Timing was everything, until they had sold their last Jupiter, then it suddenly wasn't.

Plan B was Plan A all along. Wasn't it?

BTW. Whatever happened to ORSOC?

The number of transactions crashing isn't gox, https://coinbase.com/charts look at that dive. More than halved in less than a week, in a time period when so many retailers have now started to accept bitcoins.
