1022  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AvalonMiner 921 released - 20 TH/s @ 1800W on: October 14, 2018, 07:38:28 PM
Low power is fine if it's more efficient, correct?
1023  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: My review of Avalon 841 . on: October 14, 2018, 05:21:25 PM
4500 rpm is under spec, you're db's will be lower but the temp in the unit will likely increase at 100% an speed.

Some cheap sound foam will still help if there is a lot of acoustic reflection. Just speculating at this point.
1024  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: (Review/Guide) AvalonMiner 851 14.5 Th/s, 1450W Bitcoin (SHA-256) ASIC miner on: October 14, 2018, 05:17:13 PM
Steven has posted this very neat promotional video for the AvalonMiner 851 at the Canaan.io website.

Direct link to the video: https://youtu.be/pJmJ4nFOiig

This is cool, If there's one for the 921/941 we'll have to post on our home page.

I mentioned the video looks like it's up on our home page. Smiley
1025  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: My Plan on: October 14, 2018, 04:22:46 PM
Since power cost doesn't matter I'd just look at price per unit range you're looking at and efficiencies. I'd have to go back to on the thread but think of you racks how many units per line you can run will help you decide.

If you haven't gotten racks then your fine just figure out your unit model and count.

Also be careful of used units, not that others here are misleading you but a dud on a new venture is a unit that won't ROI.

Looking for thoughts on the federated union of exchanges using a tokenized sidechain of the Bitcoin network called Liquid.

T2T 25T is listed on their web now. Guess we'll change our phrasing now. Smiley
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmain launches the Z9 Equihash miner on: October 12, 2018, 01:27:32 PM
I think I broke my Z9 Mini.

The fan is not getting recognized anymore:

Oct 11 21:36:21 (none) local0.notice cgminer[1335]: No Fan find, check again
Oct 11 21:36:22 (none) local0.notice cgminer[1335]: No Fan find, check again
Oct 11 21:36:24 (none) local0.notice cgminer[1335]: No Fan find, check again
Oct 11 21:36:25 (none) local0.notice cgminer[1335]: No Fan find, check again

I worked with a fan faker before the miner is not even responding when the original fan is attached.

Is there a work-around to disable the fan check or do I really have to send it in to bitmain?

You have more then one connector on the controllerboard for the fan!

Have you tried other fan connector Huh
any loose cables from fan?
jiggle them little if bad connection in contact or cables.

if nothing else perhaps you can buy controllerboard on ebay or somewhere else Huh

good luck!

Try another fan before looking a new board, the control board is kinda spendy unless your under warranty. Buying though would have you hashing sooner if needed.

Well a little ten year bourbon to bring some hash and a block our way.
1030  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: GMO miner B2: 7NM mining within reach? on: October 12, 2018, 04:48:27 AM
I'm just checking the threads to see if anyone ordered this miner and knows if the end of October ship date is still on the table?

I'd like to see if they are meeting the first commitment before people start shelling out for their next announcement.

All batches are sold out, no shipping info for any B2's for our buyers yet.
1031  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Suggested Bitcoin Core Pruned Node Size on: October 10, 2018, 08:49:42 PM
Well it would just be for the node nothing else. 100 mb/s read is the spec I'm looking at, doesn't say what the write is though.
1032  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AvalonMiner 921 released - 20 TH/s @ 1800W on: October 10, 2018, 02:22:22 PM
Is that a new canaan psu as well? 2k watts?

Also, whats the packing and sealing like? Standard Canaan with blue "tape" and foam?
1033  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Suggested Bitcoin Core Pruned Node Size on: October 10, 2018, 02:19:53 PM
Thank you for all the reply's. I'll be more specific.

I'm looking to run a node on a 256gb microSD A1 or above. Essentially I can swap this from phone to phone, tablet to tablet, etc easily and have in my opinion a full node in place of a light wallet?

Thoughts?
1034  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: AvalonMiner 921 released - 20 TH/s @ 1800W on: October 09, 2018, 11:52:08 PM
I don't know if or when  but I could owe   trump tax.

I think I beat the deadline one 1 unit by 1 day the t2turbo.

Checked your purchase, the T2T is safe from new tariffs by about 20 days but DHL didn't charge the 2.6%, which was returned to you being a solo buy. Rough estimate on that unit is about $40 in duties is all.

1036  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: October 09, 2018, 06:00:05 PM
So far Innosilicon has sha256 asics as:

T2T+ / T2Ti / T2T / T2

Granted a lot of T2's but I think it has to do with using the same 10nm chip?

The T2Ti at efficiency setting looks really nice.

I don't think it's really that confusing but it is a lot. Only suggestion I would give is to have a more deliberate product life cycling. We have meeting today to look at our own listings and see what dead weight we can drop.
1037  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 17.2TH/s, 1570W Innosilicon announces the most powerful and efficient BTC Miner on: October 09, 2018, 03:39:59 PM
Okay  this is confusing  my t2turbo was purchased from you in August.

So  will it do 20th at 1360 watts on efficiency setting

or will only the newer t2turbo  do 20th at 1360 watts?

next questions is  what does the newer model cost shipped to usa?

For the record my t2turbo  from august  does 19th at about 1600 watts

New model from what we understand. Not sure if prior models will have updates.

Conservatively I'd say 20th at 1500w "ish" factoring +10% on the new unit.

Our projections are conservative without getting into pumping our service.
