1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain.info wallet acting wonky on: April 30, 2012, 11:48:55 AM
This seems odd to me.  I use firefox in Ubuntu, and I cleared the browser cache and closed the browser to be extra-sure.  But when I opened the browser and went to my wallet, it filled in my identifier.  When I clear the cache and history and close the browser, shouldn't this be gone?  Or is it living in Javaville somehow?

I still don't get how it can know my precise balance but the transactions do not show up.  Should I be sprinkling holy water on my screen and keyboard for good measure?
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: blockchain.info wallet acting wonky on: April 30, 2012, 11:35:33 AM
Ahhh  but no!  How do I know?  Because my balance in the upper right corner of the site is correct.  So it knows me, and I have signed in properly.  It just shows no transactions.

But I guess I will clear my browser cache and sign in again to see if that accomplishes anything.  Thank you for that idea.  Smiley
1023  Economy / Auctions / Re: **48 hour auction** TOP COLOR Mali Garnet- superb brilliance 1.01 carats on: April 30, 2012, 06:04:07 AM
Just a little bit of time left on this one!  Bid if you want it- it will end all too soon!  As always, the price includes registered air mail with a tracking number.
1024  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / blockchain.info wallet acting wonky on: April 30, 2012, 05:53:09 AM
I am new to blockchain.info.  I want an online wallet and this seems to be a popular one.  I made some addresses yesterday, moved coins around between them and to and from them and all was well.  Now today under "My Transactions" is says this:

"Normally your bitcoin transactions would be listed here but you have not made any yet. You've made it this far, don't give up now! It's not as scary as it might seem at first."

Also for live status it says "disconnected".  I have logged out and logged back in, refreshed the page, etc.  Nothing seems to work- it will not connect and show my transactions.

Any clue what I can do?  Thank you in advance.

Terry is in the lead!  You picked a good time too- this is the best colored Mali I have ever offered for sale on the bitcoin forum.
1026  Economy / Auctions / Re: **48 hour auction** TOP COLOR Mali Garnet- superb brilliance 1.01 carats on: April 28, 2012, 10:38:35 AM

1027  Economy / Auctions / **48 hour auction** TOP COLOR Mali Garnet- superb brilliance 1.01 carats on: April 28, 2012, 10:36:53 AM

This is the top color of Mali garnet- a very very slightly greenish-Yellow with excellent saturation.  This 1.01 carat stone also has a magnificent cut for a ton of brilliance, and the cushion shape enhances this beautiful color and brilliance for amazing presence.  This remarkable gemstone measures 5.77 x 5.52 x 3.82mm deep.  It is SI clarity.

Like every stone we sell, this Mali garnet is guaranteed to delight you in every way.  If you don't agree that it is an amazing stone you can return it for a full refund.  We want you to be our client for a long time; your total satisfaction is critical to our success.

One of the best reasons to collect Mali garnet is that it is very rare in the current market.  Another reason is that it comes only from Mali in West Africa.  At the moment there is a great amount of political upheaval there and very often this leads to violence that prevents the export of gemstones.  Supply of Mali garnet is spotty in the best of times.  With the current political climate nobody can predict what will happen over the standard trade routes.

This auction begins at 6BTC and the minimum bid increment is 1BTC.

48 hours only, so good luck!

Kokjo please contact the moderators with your concerns.   Maybe they can set some new rules that will make everyone happy.  I am happy to change how I do business if it means that those who don't want to see my posts don't have to.  I am not familiar with how the "ignore" function works, but that might prevent you from seeing my posts.

Please also consider that you happened upon the auction forum at a time that I was bumping posts.  There are times when I do not reduce any prices for several days at a time, and other people are at the top for their "time in the sun".

I respect what you are saying, and I would be happy to comply with forum rules now or as amended.

Kokjo I think you should read through this thread:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=67227.0

I am open to an amendment of the rules or guidance from the moderators.  But really, it looks like most people don't mind me here and many of them must appreciate me because they buy a lot of stones from me via the auctions.

I think before you call me a spammer you should consider all of the work that it takes to find these stones, photograph them, and post them here.  Also weigh the fact that I am not just bumping, I am almost always reducing the price in the process.  Also I am not just dead weight- I am a professional gemologist and you can verify my credentials at GIA.EDU- the Gemological Institute of America.  I am not just bringing a product to the market and selling it for bitcoins, but I also bring a lot of education and experience here that is valuable to many members of the forum.

I would also ask anyone who wants to limit my activity here to think about whether liquidity in the bitcoin market is beneficial or detrimental.  If we encourage bitcoin-based entrepreneurism, we add much-needed liquidity to the markets.  If we bash people who are on here and call them "spammers", we are doing the opposite.

Please consider these points carefully Kokjo.

I will take 137.5BTC for this extremely rare gemstone, and I will provide FedEx shipping and $5,000 insurance on the parcel.  Insured value and the value that is declared for customs are two separate amounts!  I have never had a client pay a substantial amount of money to import a gemstone.
