1021  Economy / Economics / Re: I wonder if food prices in your country have also increased? on: August 30, 2023, 03:55:44 AM
Price of food is up in pretty much every country. I think for most people it has at least doubled since 2019. You can find some deals but you will need to drive around from store to store and buy on certain days. Which is obviously not a solution for everybody.

We got food banks here which are pretty much empty because over the last few years people are using them more and people are donating less because what you donate is becoming expensive. Most likely the prices will never come down people will just need to buy cheaper meats or eat different types of foods to survive.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [JUST IN] Grayscale wins lawsuit against the SEC on: August 30, 2023, 03:50:47 AM
I know this is good news but won’t this be bearish in the near future. If the GBTC etf is confirmed then people will buy the GBTC and short the actual bitcoin until it launches. By shorting they hedge their position which should be balanced by the end.

And the fund will be unlocked and the 600K will be released into the market again. So there will be more supply. Most likely nobody will use GBTC due to high fees and with blackrock etf begin live also.
1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop Events, Testnet Events is not an investment! on: August 29, 2023, 04:02:38 AM
I think when Zksync and Layerzero finally do their airdrop the result will be the same. There are way too many people participating in these airdrops that the reward is going to be nil.

Sure UNI and BLUR and ARB were very successful but these airdrops Gained so much attention that everybody is doing it with 100 different wallets. So their everyone will be labeled as Sybil or the airdrop reward will be very small.
1024  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Reliable Bitcoin Exchange Loan Platforms. on: August 29, 2023, 03:58:03 AM
I don’t think people lend out their bitcoin anymore after all those lending platforms went bust last year. People lent out their BTC on Gemini and it’s basically gone. Who knows if and when they will get it back. The yield also wasn’t that high to begin with.

You get more if you lend out stablecoins. However like I said before, the risk isn’t worth it if your USDT is sent to some market maker who takes risky bets with it and ends up losing it all. Everyone withdraws and the scam is up. Avoid lending your coins if you can.
1025  Economy / Economics / Re: What did elon do wrong in Twitter on: August 29, 2023, 03:54:37 AM
He is a smart guy, he bought it for a reason. Especially since he overpaid for it. Twitter price was mostly sideways while tech bombed during that period. He could of paid 33% or 50% of what he paid. Or he could of just paid that $1B fine and abandoned the deal. But he still went ahead.

He made huge changes. He let go of some much of the work force. And yet the company still functions. Which tells you that twitter was just burning money all those years.

1026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hong Kong officially launches its first Bitcoin and crypto trading platform on: August 29, 2023, 03:49:52 AM
Yeah when I heard about this a year back I assumed it would be very bullish because it would bring tons of money into the crypto market. However whenever we got news that it was finally a reality and trading would be allowed, nothing happened. And the price is still not exploding due to this news.

I think the people who wanted to own bitcoin already did in alternate ways and those that want to buy bitcoin won’t do it now but only when bitcoin breaks ATH. Many believe Bitcoin is dead right now because it’s trading sideways for many months.
1027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WEIRD BITCOIN CONVERSATIONS AT GATHERINGS - SHARE THE CRAZIEST STATEMENTS MADE on: August 29, 2023, 03:46:13 AM
My craziest was some guy who I knew years ago found out I was in crypto. This was maybe in 2021 during the hype. He basically wanted to give me $5000 or $10000 and wanted me to turn it into like $100,000 or $200,000 because he needed to buy a house. I told him it doesn’t work like that. You don’t get rich off bitcoin anymore those days are gone.

He was upset and basically thinks I am being greedy and don’t want him to reap the benefits. Some people are very crazy when it comes to investing their money, they all think it’s easy.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Appromixly how much time needs to recover BNB $310 price on: August 28, 2023, 04:46:32 AM
Well they burn their tokens from time to time. So every time they do a token burn it should appreciate the remaining coins in circulation.

Right now there are way too many issues with BNB. One is all these regulatory requirements and trouble at BInance USA. And you got pretty much crypto which is completely flat lined. So much fud everyday about CZ is not helping the token either.

If you want to buy more wait until maybe $100 area or so. No idea if it will ever head that low however.
1029  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What happened to Crypto Volatility..??? on: August 28, 2023, 04:43:27 AM
I think the volatility was lower in 2015. Most of the volatility instruments for bitcoin don’t go that far so you can’t check but the volatility was awful in 2015. Basically barely any moves. Was mostly miners dumping their mined coins and nothing else.

2019 was also bad but not as bad as 2015 or right now. Why is it so flat? Who knows. Maybe it’s summer or maybe people just lost interest in crypto. Wait until October and see what happens then.
1030  Economy / Speculation / Re: What if there is no crypto bull run for next 10 years ? on: August 28, 2023, 04:40:36 AM
People everyday invest in stocks or the real estate market. How do they know if there won’t be a bull run in those markets for the next decade? They don’t. But they invest in it anyways.

If you worry about the what-it’s too much then investing just isn’t for you. There are not guarantees. If you want you can buy government bonds which are pretty much risk free however the yield is much lower compared to crypto investments or real estate.
1031  Economy / Economics / Re: China real estate crisis: Buy a house and get a gold bar! No Bitcoin unf! on: August 27, 2023, 04:17:26 AM
Yeah I read an article about the Evergrande situation and it’s bad. Basically they didn’t have issues selling real estate in the large cities but the issues came when they started building these towers in smaller cities and nobody wanted to buy these apartments. And they needed the money from sales to pay off debts.

It’s crazy that the government allowed this to happen. They can try and give you gold but eventually they are going to be giving people 50% worth of gold for the value of the entire apartment because prices will start to tank that hard. Don’t think there is an easy way out of this.
1032  Economy / Speculation / Re: Challenging the lows, 25.5k and lower possible break here on: August 27, 2023, 03:58:27 AM
Earlier in the year I assumed we would have a echo bubble with bitcoin. Basically a bubble like the previous but not as large. I assumed we would hit maybe at least $35-45K. And get a blow off top. However we didn’t really get  an explosive action like I assumed.

So maybe we get one more pump and then we stall like stock market or maybe we already hit the high at $31K. Most likely we won’t know until we get closer to October. The etf most likely will be delayed and won’t have any impact until then.
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2023 best bitcoin site? on: August 27, 2023, 03:54:39 AM
These days bitcoin is discussed everywhere pretty much. About 10 years ago or so you would of only used bitcointalk. However since then we have a large gathering on twitter, Reddit, discord, etc.

We also got tons of news sites such as coin telegraph and coindesk. We got coin market cap which is your go to if you want to see what is new and pumping.

1034  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Here is a tight slap to bitcoin haters on: August 27, 2023, 03:49:26 AM
You need to understand that they write more articles when it’s something bearish than bullish because people tend to read the bearish articles more.

It’s funny because I actually remember reading about bitcoin when it was like $30 or so and crashed down to $1 and there was an article calling bitcoin a scam. And I actually believed it and it wasn’t Until a few years later when I discovered it again and found it fascinating.
1035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto market will pump soon? on: August 26, 2023, 04:31:41 AM
It’s still summer. Most likely most of September will be the same. The volume needs to come back. Right now we got no liquidity pretty much and hence why we get these large wicks on many timeframes.

Everyone is waiting and see what the result of the etf will be. If approved then we will really most likely. However it can take months for this result to come out. Many think it will be approved by year end or early next year.
1036  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Scalping on: August 26, 2023, 04:28:42 AM
Scalping just means you take more trades with a shorter time frame. For example you might stay in the trade for a few minutes instead of a few hours or days.

Usually these are high leverage trades and you take them multiple times a day and you make large amounts of money on small moves in price.

In reality this is extremely difficult to do profitably and most people fail.
1037  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Nvidia's Result bring a positive impact on Bitcoin? on: August 26, 2023, 04:22:52 AM
Nvidia and AMD stocks used to have some correlation with bitcoin and crypto because when mining was very profitable, every went out and bought GPUs and their share prices went up.

There is also some correlation when Nvidia goes up, usually does the nasdaq index and sometimes crypto follows that trend.

However AI has nothing to do with crypto and it’s not correlated in anyway. The moves were the same probably due to a coincidence.
1038  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is not going to $12k. on: August 25, 2023, 04:46:50 AM
I don’t think it’ll drop that low because there is pretty much no sellers left. Most people who bought at $50k thinking we would get $1M already sold by the time FTX tanked. It tried to go lower but there just wasn’t any sellers except short sellers who all had massive losses when we rallied.

We just need to be patient because it’s still summer and the markets are very illiquid. Most likely by October or November we will get some movement and hopefully in the right direction. However keep in mind the global economy is not good. If we get a recession then they won’t be good for bitcoin or crypto at all.
1039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SEC Likely to Approve Several Spot ETFs, Sparking Next Bitcoin Rally: Matrixport on: August 25, 2023, 04:42:46 AM
Weren’t they suppose to make a decision based on GBTC last week and then it was delayed to this week and then it was delayed daily and pretty much no idea when they will give a concrete response.

Same will happen with the other etfs. They won’t reject them, they will just keep post poning them as long as they can because they don’t want to make any quick decisions.

My guess the etfs will be approved sometime by year end or in 6 months or so. They won’t be approved next month.
1040  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Unknown Bitcoin Whale Gains $3B in 90 Days on: August 25, 2023, 04:39:16 AM
This was already confirmed to be Robinhood. Basically people buy crypto and RH needs to store the bitcoin somewhere. A year or two back there was another mysterious Dogecoin address which turned out to be Robin Hood also.

People assumed it was some whale but it’s basically customer funds. Most likely if Bitcoin goes up people will take profit and the balance will go down. Robinhood is a very large exchange. Very popular with the wall streets bets crowd.
