1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is doomed. Thanks IRS!!! You Ass hats! on: March 31, 2014, 07:02:31 AM
if you happen to make a lot on trading or mining you pretty much have to leave the states now.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / china does not ban bitcoin on: March 31, 2014, 06:57:44 AM
it is 'only' the central bank being silly (of course) and wanting to close exchange bankaccounts (that was said in december already). So exchanges will not close (not a single one) - they might very well go back to vouchers. There is really nothing new in this news.
So nothing to be expected really from mid-april. All they do is fuck up your mind with headlines and keep prices depressed as good as they can.

1023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]CREDS *** HATE VOLATILITY? So does CREDS *** on: March 31, 2014, 06:16:48 AM
There will be some volatility at first, but quickly remediated.    The developer and the main exchange considered for CREDS, deliberately postponed the initial listing until CREDS build enough inventory to minimize this event.

The CREDS network is capable to add over 1 million XXC on the market, in just one day!  Try that with BTC... but, if the demand for XXC is there, of course.  One million XXC would be 1 PH of mining for one day.  There are over 43 PH of ASICs available, today, in the world.  Lots of potential production...

At the moment, CREDs is producing 1000 XXC per day, since we had an average of 1 TH of miners over the last week.  This production rate was expected, as CREDS is  waiting for its total inventory to build up, before it can be listed on an exchange.

also the more coin has been minted the smaller the impact of the reward-sceme will be. We know from experience that coins are most volatile in the beginning and become a little less volatile after they have been established for a while. So this reward-thing might really not help much.
But i'll shut up now and watch it play out.

for devteaminvolvement: for example devteam neglects the coin over time price will plumet - if devteam on the other hand looks for improvements in the long run (features, updates, services, etc) price will rise. Devteam and/or community makes or breaks the coin. That has more impact on price than the rewardsheme i think.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]CREDS *** HATE VOLATILITY? So does CREDS *** on: March 31, 2014, 05:56:08 AM
this will also be volatile - coins don't go to market the same day they are mined. Also in anticipation of increased demand bubbles happen in the same way. So the volatility will be roughly the same if you look at it on daily bases. Volatility may be less if looked at in mid/long-terms (in the end of the day price is depending more on concentration of stacks and mood of biggest stackholders - also actions of devteam will probably have more impact on price than miningrewards). This can still be volatile as hell; thus not fulfilling its main purpose to an extend that would justify increased interest in this. As an investement it should be mediocre.
Sorry for having a realistic day  Tongue

edit: To get rid of volatility you have to get rid of the free market.

1026  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lets keep up the "glass is half full attitude" on: March 31, 2014, 01:23:45 AM
just boycott the notion that every state, every region, every city, every seperatist movement, every item that is out there, every holiday and every charity-cause needs its own coin (and then in the case of slight success 10 copies of that thing).
The truth is: we now have all the coins we need to do everything we can think of. Support notions to integrate new ideas into old coins instead of launching a new coin for every idea!!!
1027  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ISR] Isracoin - The Israeli cryptocurrency on: March 31, 2014, 01:11:01 AM

1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: (NYC) New York Coin Foundation - NewYorkCoin on: March 31, 2014, 01:07:09 AM
nycoin. We desperately need this innovative coin. It will add value to cryptos in general i am sure. Everybody should support this brilliant new coin and abandon the old coins for it. The world absolutely needs this coin (not).

edit: it is also the second newyork-coin
This one was launched 2 weeks earlier:

1031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [LAUNCHED] CleanWaterCoin POW+POS | 1st Nonprofit Organization Coin on: March 30, 2014, 11:57:17 PM
hope this will be success ... there is some truth though to what has been said before: this charity could have been done with any other coin so no new coin would have been required... but what ever ... good cause.
well where is the fun in that?

it is not about fun it is about not diluting the market more with even more coins.

Value of all coins suffer due to too many coins. An extra coin for every item, every city, every nation, every cause will not end well. In the end nobody wins anything.

I still support this particular cause though.

1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RDD] Reddcoin - The Social Currency! [Android][Cryptsy] on: March 30, 2014, 06:13:56 PM
Let your android wallet sync fully.
I have and I've reset block chain several times
go to folder of reddcoin-qt ->
rightclick -> 'open commandprompt here'
type in the commandwindow "reddcoin-qt.exe -rescan"
or "reddcoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet"
that's on windows though

1036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [JUST LAUNCHED][STD] StandardCoin - Anti Pump And Dump - Permanently Rising Rate on: March 30, 2014, 01:47:14 PM
the creation of something with no downward risks and only upward growth and nothing else is just not possible. Do you also believe in perpetuum mobile?
1037  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]DeleteCoin NEW DIRECT MARKETPLACE FOR ALT TO DEL EXCHANGE! Come vote now! on: March 30, 2014, 02:49:25 AM
so to get the best deal for deletecoin i have to buy the most wothless crap first so you can dump it back? We  can do that forever. Only thing accomplished is more destruction of value. Fail!

Do you still take pennie cents and other dead coins by the way? Do you take coins that are not on exchanges?

edit: ok, i thought it all the way through. Here is what will happen:
people buy the most worthless crap or just unload the most hopeless and dead coins at this place. You then dump it, ok. But what happens in the long run? In the long run someone will be buying those coins you dump at 1litoshi and less until he ownes them all (one person or group buying the crap you dump basically for free) - after that person or group has more than 90% of coins they can set price whereever they want. You would have achieved the exact opposite of what you initially wanted PLUS adding volume to idiotic coins that don't have volume and for a good reason.
So you would essentially bring back to life the dying shit also by increasing volume on exchanges prevent them being delisted. So this is not really thought out well.

I personally still believe the free market will take care of everything - it just takes a bit of time. Creating coins that actually represent something and have value for that reason would be a better strategy to kill off crap faster. So if you are sick of crap like everybody else then create something with real value - problem solved.
1038  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][10-5] TenfiveCoin - Designed for Mobile - MANDATORY UPDATE 0.9.0.0 on: March 30, 2014, 02:12:39 AM
why not relaunch panda? Why not work on that and give it some value? Why do you produce trash/dead markets on exchanges? Don't we have enough spam already? One thing we don't need is more fail.
uno was quite a success so far. Please don't abandon that. Uno always needs some lovin'. When Panda is back on it's feet and uno is doing extremely well you may try again with another coin, but really guys finish the last projects please. Bring panda back and take care of uno please. If you can do that we might aswell support another coin - but not like this with what has happened with panda and how uno is seemingly neglected. What about off and is this crew also involved with 888?
Please take care of the other projects first. Giving up on a coin is not an option anymore if you plan on releasing other coins in the future.
I am not one of the angry kind. I want to see success. If you look at buyorders on exchange for 10-5 you may see that i am not lying with what i say. Don't let first projects fail if you want to do other projects later.
From my point of view:
-offerings hasn't even taken off. It still can.
-uno can and should be a top10-coin
-panda can be restored and brought back to life

if the first projects would have been carried out propperly this coin would be a screaming success - but it isn't right now.

Good luck getting back on track with those many coins.
1039  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Fair share of coins on: March 29, 2014, 06:48:46 PM
No need to register. We can use only wallet addresses and IPs.

i can have as many adresses and ip's as i like (not only me - everybody can). There is your problem. Really fair distribution with nobody cheating is really not that easy i think.
