1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do anyone have done this? with gambling platforms on: July 21, 2023, 11:34:05 AM
But if your account is clean, the casino will process your withdrawal quickly. But the casino's request to do KYC must be fulfilled first, especially if you win a large amount.

that's right, it seems that for wins under $10K gambler will not be asked to do KYC as long as the account used is not indicated to be committing any kind of fraud. I once withdrew $2K from a gambling website, no need for KYC for any identification, except email and cellphone number. of course $2K is small in other countries, but in Indonesia it is a lot of money. Even the sites accessible from Indonesia, they are not asking any KYC for that.

I think it largely depends on the casino platform. Some casinos will not ask for KYC even for amounts of several thousand dollars, if there are no other suspicious things with the account, while others will ask for KYC on the first withdrawal, even for insignificant amounts.

I understand that certain regulatory requirements mandate casinos to perform KYC for larger transactions, be it deposits or withdrawals. However, I remain skeptical about casinos that insist on KYC for initial withdrawals without any specific reasons. This practice seems unfair, as it appears some gambling platforms may exploit KYC regulations for their own advantage. They allow unrestricted deposits but immediately request personal documents when players attempt to withdraw winnings. This tactic could discourage some players from withdrawing, potentially leading them to continue playing until they lose everything.

So, why don't you share us names those accounts that were allegedly stolen from you, but this time provide a proper evidence for your claims.
Sharing the link of my accounts
1. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=214323
2. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=198112
3. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=236814

You forgot to provide valid evidence for your claims, just like Rikafip pointed out. No one will believe a random newbie with such baseless claims without concrete and reliable proof.
1023  Other / Meta / Re: Is it okay to create an off-topic discussion thread? on: July 21, 2023, 10:09:31 AM
This is according to my understanding of the forum rules: you cannot create a topic with local rules that conflict with the global rules of the forum.
You technically can if you self moderate the thread. Anyone commenting in a self moderated thread is going with the local rules of the author of the thread and it comes with this message; This is a self-moderated topic. If you do not want to be moderated by the person who started this topic, create a new topic.

I am not aware if mods still delete replies on self moded threads that contradicts the local rules the OP stated.

- Jay -

I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think you can create a thread that violates forum rules, even if it's self-moderated. I don't have a specific example, but I believe moderators remove posts from self-moderated threads as well.
1024  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Which wallet is the most suitable option when considering a switch from Ledger? on: July 20, 2023, 10:49:01 PM
Could you please recommend the most suitable option and explain the reasons behind your choice? Your assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You can also consider BitBox02 from Shift Crypto: https://bitbox.swiss/

Shift Crypto is a Swiss company, and as far as I know, they have an impeccable reputation so far. They have both, Bitcoin only and multicoin versions of the hardware wallet, the software and firmware is open source and the price is comparable to the Ledger Nano X. Personally, I like the design of the device even more than the Ledger, especially the screen and touch buttons.
1025  Other / Meta / Re: Is it okay to create an off-topic discussion thread? on: July 20, 2023, 06:53:19 PM
This is according to my understanding of the forum rules: you cannot create a topic with local rules that conflict with the global rules of the forum.  Imagine if someone could make a topic in which plagiarism, or begging, or spam is allowed according to local rules.  That wouldn't make much sense. I think the same thing applies to off-topic discussion.
1026  Economy / Gambling / Re: How much time for a Duelbits withdrawal? Been 24h+ on: July 19, 2023, 08:13:57 AM
OP, as others have already mentioned, your best bet would be to contact Duelbits customer support and see what they say. The withdrawal should not normally take that long, but it is possible that your case has been flagged for manual review due to their regulatory requirements. Has the casino asked you for KYC? Sometimes, the verification of KYC documents can take some time. There was a recent case from member BitcoinHunt3r who was waiting for verification for about 9 days. If that's the case, you have no other option but to wait until your KYC is verified and the withdrawal is approved.

edit: Apologies, I read your last reply afterwards. It seems that KYC is not the issue, but rather your withdrawal has encountered their manual verification process.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔻 List of Casinos and Sportbooks to Avoid on: July 18, 2023, 03:17:33 PM
Two or their websites could be using the same software, I don't see the same market options or site similarities as sufficient proof to link two websites together; have you tried looking for their doc?  I haven't seen a Megapari fraud allegation thread on the site (maybe because I'm not as frequent on the scam accusation board), and I need to conduct more research because I plan to play there soon.
Dude do your own research if you are so interested about Megapari.
It is strange that all of this similar websites are coming from the same region and they write in Russian language, so it is not only a software.
I never said they are a scam and my list of casinos for avoiding is not about scam, but some of them are included.
End of discussion about Megapari for me Wink

Sorry for bumping this discussion again, but I just found out that you added Megapari to the list. Personally, I think it's a good decision. What raises concern for me is the fact that their representative denied any association when I asked about it in their ANN thread. That was a blatant lie and only reinforces my view that they cannot be trusted.

You are correct in pointing out that Megapari uses the BetB2B platform, which is owned by 1xBET. This connection is quite apparent, but for those who may still have doubts, they can refer to reliable casino review websites that confirm this information:

https://casinodaddy.com/casino-platforms/betb2b/
https://www.askgamblers.com/white-label-casino/betb2b

Even if it's only a white label, it doesn't make a difference because, in that scenario, Megapari is simply a front, and all the crucial operations are handled by 1xBET behind the scenes. It's basically just another 1xbit/22bet/Adkinsbet/Kawbet/Melbet/Pnxbet... case all over again.
1028  Economy / Reputation / Re: Nutildah's bounty cheaters & ban evaders thread on: July 18, 2023, 11:20:34 AM
Huh, I gotta say i was quite surprised when i saw the feedback on my account.

I dont understand nutildah how did I get dragged into this.

Don't act so surprised. I have a gut feeling that you know exactly what he's referring to. (unless, of course, you have some kind of split personality, in which case, I apologize).

But anyway, let me try to offer my assistance here:

There was a giveaway topic in Games and rounds sub which has now been removed but is still available in the archives (Loyce.club and Ninjastic.space)

You first joined with your Hamich124D account, then after a follow-up question from the OP you first replied with the ramzifcb47 account, then you quickly removed that post, and replied again with the Hamich124D account. About 20 minutes later you joined the giveaway with your ramzifcb47 account once again.

https://ninjastic.space/topic/5240187

Now, when we take into account the feedback on the Karma24 account and everything nutildah posted earlier, everything falls into place.

Veleor    2021-05-05    Reference    There is a suspicion that the accounts Karma24 (u=2931165) and ramzifcb47 (u=896562) belong to the same owner, who uses this advantage in forum contests. They both wrote comments one after another on the Roobet thread, and then edited their replies almost at the same time, 40 minutes after posting.
1029  Other / Meta / Re: This member should be banned: Rosemar41 on: July 18, 2023, 07:04:17 AM
Still I believe there are some people who doesn't have that mind of devoting time that to read and understand things properly.

Some people simply couldn't care less about rules and good behavior, even if you practically smack them in the face with them. And honestly, they can't be helped.
1030  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How did we do at the beginning to have bitcoins? (2010-2011 ...) on: July 17, 2023, 02:19:03 PM
When did it get easier?

Based on what I've learned from old threads on this forum, I believe the opposite to be true. It seems that things were much simpler back then compared to today. The Bitcoin Qt software served as both a wallet and a mining tool, all addresses started with "1," and the main security concern was safeguarding your wallet.dat file and private keys. In the early days, there were no altcoins (except for a few), SPV wallets (until Electrum came along), seed phrases, or SegWit addresses,... and scams were also far less common than they are now, mainly due to the smaller size and tight-knit nature of the early Bitcoin community.

So yes, there are a thousand and one ways to acquire bitcoin today, but there are also just as many ways to lose it permanently.
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could make you get into a fight with your fellow gambler? on: July 17, 2023, 12:51:16 PM
Well, I think I will also be pissed if I went into a gentleman's agreement with someone else and then they do not honor the agreement. So, I have to take the losses and he gets to take the spoils when he wins the bet.

They say, there are no honor amongst thieves... but I think the same thing applies to gamblers.... or should I rather say, gambling addicts.

I can only imagine what it was like in the old days when that saying was coined, but nowadays, I find it hard to believe that a "gentleman's agreement" still exists. Everyone looks only at their own interests, often neglecting the well-being or concerns of others. And those driven by greed for wealth, which we can often meet in the gambling world, are often regarded as some of the worst.

That's why it's hard to trust anyone, unless you have a really high level of trust in them and a track record that shows they're trustworthy. It's always better to be cautious and skeptical, especially when dealing with money.
1032  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How is sending bitcoin through a QR-code safe ? on: July 14, 2023, 07:58:32 PM
i was wondering if it's possible to change a QR-code the same way that the victim sends the btc to the scammer address ?

To my knowledge, there hasn't been a single documented case of this specific type of attack. When you scan a QR code with your software wallet, the payment information is directly fed into your wallet without going through a clipboard buffer. This eliminates the possibility of malware intercepting and modifying the information. Nevertheless, it's still a good idea to double-check that the payment details actually match what you see on the screen next to the QR code, just to be safe.
1033  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Mjesečna Analiza za Hrvatsku Lokalnu Zajednicu (Bitcointalk Croatian) on: July 14, 2023, 07:11:12 PM

1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 06:59:44 PM
What might be reasonable for one person may not be for another. In any case, we should all be aware of our financial circumstances and limitations.
It is in percentage, not amount. In trading and gambling that are very risky, percentage is used to know someone's threshold in amount of money to be used to gamble. The money should be small in percentage to the extent that if the person lose the amount, there will not be any problem. 5 to 6% is good but I prefer 5% or less. Sometimes I go for less percentage like 2%, but I go most for 5%.

I understand that it is a percentage and not a fixed amount, but even so, relying solely on percentages can also be misleading. Let me give you an example: I personally spend less than 50% of my total income on regular expenses, which means that for me, 5% would not have the same impact as it would for someone with a limited income who needs every penny just to cover their current expenses.

That's why I said that everyone should be aware of their financial capabilities and make wise spending decisions.
1035  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Do you have opinion about Bitcorse exchange? on: July 14, 2023, 06:44:18 PM
Hi all,
Recently, someone recommended me a fresh exchange from Hong Kong.
Why should you accept a small random exchange with no history recommended from someone, yet we have far much better reputable exchanges?

I did some small digging, and it turns out that the person behind the exchange is even too lazy, and they just copied and pasted their terms of service from another exchange furxe.com which is now offline (archived terms of service) and they also copied the terms from Binance but forgot to edit out "Binance" in most parts of the terms  Grin

If that does not convince you that the exchange is up to no good intentions, then I don't know what will.

Nice catch logfiles! It's not just that they copied the terms of service from furxe.com, but they didn't even bother to replace "FURXE" with their own name in several instances throughout the text. How lazy can you get?

It's pretty obvious that their failure to pay attention to detail seriously calls into question their competence and reliability. Honestly, I wouldn't advise anyone to put their money in the hands of someone who shows such laziness and carelessness.
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Appropriate percentage of income for gambling on: July 14, 2023, 12:16:03 PM
It is an interesting topic to discuss and hear different perspectives of the forum community.
I decided on a modest percentage of around 5% to 6%. That seems reasonable to me. However, I understand that everyone's financial situation and attitude towards gambling and risk-taking may be different. What might be reasonable for one person may not be for another. In any case, we should all be aware of our financial circumstances and limitations.
1037  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which are best stake alternatives on: July 14, 2023, 10:35:44 AM
A good number of people consider stake as the overall best crypto casino in general but if you're not convinced or satisfied with their services I'll give you a compilation of alternative crypto casino you could patronise.
<cut>

I'm not sure where you got this list of casinos, but it's generally expected to provide a source when sharing such information. I don't want to imply that your post is plagiarized, but if you did gather the list from another source, it's important to attribute it properly and give credit to the original source.
1038  Economy / Gambling / Re: l0tt0.com on: July 14, 2023, 10:01:06 AM
It’s almost 2 weeks since the maintenace started while the progress counter is almost 100%. It's nice that the signature campaign is continuosly running while the website is still under maintenance.

@dewez, I think it's better to have a regular update here on what's already done or the summary of what we should expect on the update so that your ANN thread will be up using the discussion for you website update. This will help your casino grow visibility while your website is still under maintenance. I hope that live support on your casino will be one of the feature that you will add on it since that's what many user here really looking forward on a casino.
Usually if a casino would really be having an update and it would take up so long then their marketing or signature campaign would really be putting up in hold but this one is different on which they had really that

kind of dedication on running up their marketing and have really the budget but of course it would really be that understandable since the no. of member of their campaign isnt really that huge but only a couple of
members on which it would be understandable that they could really be able to run it long but still its really that good to see that they havent been able to stop.

Yes, it does seem a bit unusual to continue running a signature campaign while the site is still undergoing updates or upgrades. In my opinion, it would have been better if the campaign had been temporarily paused and then resumed once the site upgrade was completed. Perhaps he wasn't aware that pausing the campaign was an option?

I agree on what you have said that in regarding on site updates or upgrades or whatever changes that they have done. It would really be that recommended that they would really be actively be putting up
here on their ANN thread on what have changed and what has been removed or whatsoever it would be. It is really that great if ever they do hear up community suggestions on this thread
and now they are applying it out on the site on the current change.

It seems like the developer has their hands full with all the tasks related to the site, leaving little time to communicate important updates and notifications to the community. In my opinion, the best course of action would be to bring on board a skilled community manager who can take charge of that aspect. I'm sure that there are some competent members within the community who might be willing to offer their services for a reasonable fee.

Am still looking forward to see that their admin here in the forum will buy a copper member to that he can ve posting images of that development as their progress and mmakesure to post quality content that is limited or restricted to your current rank.

Perhaps you missed it, but OP already holds the "cooper member" status. Besides, he has been promoted to the rank of "Jr. member," which is sufficient for embedding images on the forum.
1039  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: July 14, 2023, 06:54:37 AM
As far as I can see from the chart, the amount of merits sent is quite volatile and ranges from 19K to 28K per month.
Thanks for the update as always, Coin-1.  I've not been paying attention to merit stats like that, ever, so is that kind of volatility normal?  If it's not, I wonder what's going on.

I think that's pretty normal. From what I've seen, the number of merits sent has consistently stayed above 20k since June 2021, typically ranging from 23k to 28k. So I'm not exactly sure where Coin-1 got the figure of 19k from. Although, it's possible that I overlooked some monthly stats during my quick review.

Hi FatFork!
Thank you for the question. His documents were not clear enough. So, his papers were rejected at the first attempt.
As we said, this was already sorted out. The player may confirm here if they want.

Regards!
JohnTwice

Thanks for the reply. It appears that the user may have jumped to conclusions too hastily, which is not uncommon in the online gambling realm. Fortunately, the issue has already been resolved, and I'm glad to hear that.
