1021  Economy / Economics / Re: The world's logic favours income makers, not the savers on: January 18, 2024, 06:41:50 AM
Saving money can make you rich is the old mindset when the inflations were not there and people were growing their own food, but now considering the expenses and inflation you will be left far behind if you follow the same process and now the only way to get rich is earn more money, instead of figuring out ways to save more we should be focused on figuring out sources to earn more and only those people who cannot earn more tries ways to save more. I think we need to adopt our strategy as per the current market instead of following traditional stuffs.
1022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is a different kind of wonder on: January 17, 2024, 08:29:10 PM
Relying on the past 15 years as a basis for forecasting for the coming years is not accurate, as the price of Bitcoin started at a very low price and rose and will not rise at the same level, but the patterns may be repeated, which happens every four years. If the pattern is repeated, we will see levels higher than $80,000 before the end of this year. And levels higher than 130 thousand dollars before the end of next year, and therefore it is an opportunity to double your money three times or at least twice, and therefore it is better to prepare for that instead of thinking that the price will reach very high levels, such as more than $200k.

That's what my though has been it would be better to start accumulating Bitcoin instead of focusing on how and when the value of Bitcoin would increase, though we have seen in the past Bitcoin will surely increase despite the hurdles. We should be more worried about the fact we have not accumulated much and work towards hodling more Bitcoin. But I believe ATH will be achieved next year based on last two bull seasons data as many are expecting bull run this year and we may see some dumps which we have to capitalize on to buy Bitcoin at lesser price.
1023  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin arbitrage - how to do it? on: January 17, 2024, 08:13:01 PM
I have tried it manually by identifying the difference in the price of coins and also subscribed to any arbitrage plan but both were unsuccessful and way too hectic than we think. Sometimes the coins which are trading at lesser price in exchange "A" would have higher withdrawal fee which eats up your profit or the liquidity on the exchange "B" where you want to sell is very low since mostly you will find not so popular exchanges if you are looking for arbitrage as the price remains same in most of the top exchanges.
1024  Local / India / Re: How does Indian crypto exchange survive? on: January 17, 2024, 08:07:02 PM
I have often seen that trading volume has been reduced by more than 90% in Indian exchanges after the draconian tax implemented for trading and users have switched to international crypto exchanges but how does Indian exchange still make money or survive? Are they still managing with the profits they earned all these year? Some have shit down operations and some has laid off their employees but will there be any changes to the regulations? Even exchange owners are afraid of speak out against the current regime fearing repercussions but if things don't change them  once booming Indian Crypto exchange industry will die a slow death. What are your thoughts on this?

Just an articles posted fortnight ago in this regards -
https://www.firstpost.com/tech/indian-crypto-exchange-wazirxs-trading-volume-falls-by-90-per-cent-as-regulatory-delays-continue-13529432.html

Indian government paved way for the Indian cryptocurrency exchange to survive. One of the recent news is that the IT ministry has decided to block 9 foreign based crypto exchanges in India.

https://www.indiatoday.in/technology/news/story/india-to-ban-urls-of-9-crypto-exchanges-including-binance-for-non-compliance-with-anti-money-laundering-law-2481870-2023-12-29

So it will force the users to shift to Indian exchanges sooner or later. If there's no choice given to the users, what else they can do!

It's not called paving way for Indian exchanges but rather stopping users from trading because no one would like to pay those exorbitant tax amount for every trade when they can barely make profit by paying such hefty charges. These unnecessary restrictions will only lead people to use tools like VPN to bypass the block placed by Indian government if it ever happens. We shouldn't stay back with this technology and earning opportunity afterall it's bringing more money to the country which will be spent mostly within country this contributing towards tax. If there are too many restrictions then big traders will shift their base like it happened in China.

Won't disagree to your thoughts. Because the goal of Indian government is to curb the usage of cryptocurrencies in India. The Reserve Bank of India is still dead against cryptos. Read this,

https://www.businesstoday.in/industry/banks/story/crypto-trading-is-just-gambling-rbi-governor-shaktikanta-das-seeks-ban-on-cryptocurrencies-360210-2023-01-13

So if you expect a favorable legislation here, that's not going to happen. It's just Indian government is not imposing an outright ban, rather trying to discourage people from using it. It's like slow poisoning.

I got the point but where do the Indian traders go ? Because the amount which they would be deducted as TDS will not even make up the profit which a trader makes from a trade hence traders were dependent on foreign exchanges but now both app store and play store has removed the foreign exchanges and traders have no where to go, so as you mentioned it's slow poisoning wherein they have not banned but brought in such rules that people themselves will stop trading and this would particularly affect small and mid level traders.

There needs to be some discussion between representatives from these exchanges and relevant authorities from RBI/Indian government to sort this out.

1026  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Iran has directly attacked US assets in Iraq on: January 17, 2024, 07:20:40 PM
We all know who is behind this mess in the Middle East and I don't think USA will be able to do much as it has already been on losing side on multiple war fronts be it Syria, be it Ukraine or be it Yemen. You can fight a government and defeat them like they did to Iraq in 2003 but not these groups like houthis as they themselves are occupiers who has ousted the president to take over part of country and dancing to the tunes of Iran who is their sponsor. It would be better if USA don't get involved in Middle Eastern affairs because you cannot stop smaller groups from attacking your allies and target and get embarassed on an international level.
1027  Economy / Speculation / Re: Isn't it exciting... on: January 17, 2024, 06:14:36 PM
Well yes we can be excited and we are very 'bullish'. I did think we did also think there was going to be some profits from the Bitcoin EFT approval.
But the market went down and we can say that was a correction. I am still 'bullish' and do think we will see new ATH but I do think it will take some more time then we did think.
The bullrun has its time now we are crawling to start upwards and wait for it to happen.
Bitcoin ETF approval is definitely a benefit but not a direct impact, trying to heat things up. Cheesy
Correction is natural, it's time for us to buy again, don't bother, determining the time of ATH is still uncertain but rest assured, in a year you might feel how ATH really exists.

Yeah, corrections and fluctuations are natural but ETF was overhyped and a sense of atmosphere was created to portray that Bitcoin will hit ATH if the spot ETF is approved but I have said this in the past and saying it now as well it was supposed to have only limited impact which we have already seen. I feel the value of Bitcoin will gradually move upwards instead of sudden spike which we saw in Altcoins.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Look out for a good Altcoin and buy now! on: January 17, 2024, 05:01:05 PM
Bitcoin ETF has been approved which is a good new for other Altcoin as well. As we all know, since Bitcoin is the pioneer of cryptocurrencies if there is a significant increase in the price of Bitcoin it will also affect the price of other cryptocurrencies. For instance if by the end of the year Bitcoin hit the target of $100k definelty other altcoins will experince a huge increase in their price. Bitcoin bull run is as well altcoin bull run.

Yep. Bitcoin ETF will cause an Altseason, and we are still very early, especially in Altcoins.
We will see an altcoin season very soon, although nothing goes up in a straight line. It is just a matter of time before a new rally starts in them.
Till then, keep accumulating on dips before the halving. Post-halving pumps are going to be insane.
But consider diversifying across promising projects, staying informed, and riding the waves.

Just to clarify your post when we mean keep accumulating it can go on for an year as well because last two times bull run started a year after halving hence we need to consider that possibilities as well, If we see bull season itself then that would be great atleast for me since I have filled my coffers and if it happens next year then that would be better as well because it would give us more time to accumulate coins.

My objective here is the fact that people shouldn't panic sell during fuds or fluctuation as because bull run is not guaranteed this year as we may see numerous fluctuations before bull run.

1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are there any chances of success? on: January 15, 2024, 06:01:07 PM
I see some great potential coins like Cardano and Solana but I don't have any high hopes on XRP or XLM neither on LTC as these have passed it's prime and XRP would be the worst in the list without any doubt. But, they might trick users into buying XRP by manipulating demand and supply which they have done in the past just to trap users and again they will sell off. Let's hope for the best I would vouch for ADA, Solana and Matic but asing you to be cautious about XRP.
1031  Other / Politics & Society / Re: War ukraine time is up now it's time to build up ukraine invrstors are ready on: January 15, 2024, 05:00:42 PM
What would be more welcoming news than a war coming to end and I don't see this war coming to an end anytime sooner because both West and Russia both are stubborn. This could end only if Ukraine let go off their NATO membership bid as whatever West and Europe are doing is not enough to reduce the casualties in Ukraine and if this continues then Ukraine will slowly vanish as it's just a pawn in the proxy war between West and Russia. Really sad to see how they have been dragged into this war. Either there should be a strong response until every single Russian soldier leaves Ukraine or else there should be a pact to solve things over the table instead of battleground.
1032  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the bitcoin ETF have any impact on the bitcoin price? on: January 15, 2024, 04:26:53 PM
What is happening is not permanent it's just temporary and I don't think we should take calls based on recent fluctuations and yeah I gotta agree that we were not expecting Bitcoin to drop post approval of spot ETF as we kinda of forgot that fluctuations will always be there when it comes to crypto currency. This may be a plan as well to push the Bitcoin's price down so that whales can accumulate it under lesser price before halving to be sold in possible bull run.
1033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasoning before investing can save you from lose on: January 15, 2024, 01:30:38 PM
This is one of the basics before investing but if fear overtakes us and if we start overthinking then we will not be able to invest in the fear of losing it all, even a small market fluctuation would look like start of bearish market for us. Rather we need to have certain checklist sort of things like what do we look and check in a project like it's dev team, roadmap and whitepaper and what it has achieved till now. This will give us more reasonable picture.
1034  Local / India / Indian government continues crackdown on crypto and this time foreign exchanges on: January 15, 2024, 10:08:23 AM
Google has removed Binance, Kraken and other foreign crypto exchanges from play store adhering to request from government as this was expected when Apple App store removed them last week. I am short of words like how can a government take such extreme measures by eating up livelihood of it's fellow citizens just because they want a bigger chunk of their income in the name of tax and TDS? This has left the users without any option for trading as they have already applied huge taxes on Indian exchange. Guess what, the same corrupt government will be voted to power once again who have zero understanding about finance and growth.

Now what's the way out? how do we continue trading? Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
1035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Then They (REALLY) Fight You! on: January 14, 2024, 11:07:22 AM
These kind of attacks are neither new nor stop in the future and Bitcoin is still strong and alive I am sure what ver they do might have only temporary impact because on a longer run Bitcoin will thrive like it has done in the past, it's rather benefiting Bitcoin on a longer run since it give more media coverage to Bitcoin and also shows true face about them to general public.
1036  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can Bitcoin Drop to Zero? on: January 14, 2024, 10:29:22 AM
You need to understand he meant theoretically not practically at the moment, theoretically everything can go zero so it's.not a big deal but if Bitcoin has to go to zero there needs to be so mean development around it like there shouldn't be any buyer or seller and all the traders or miners should disappear only then it would happen and we know we are not going to witness it because nothing as such will ever take place in the near future. Need to stop worrying about such well orchestrated fuds.
1037  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Cryptocurrency Job List on: January 14, 2024, 09:57:22 AM
This list seems like finding a gem in a stack or an oasis in the middle of the Sahara, kind of a rare discovery. While many would appreciate it, not everyone might get accepted. There's likely strict criteria for recruitment if it's on a well-known website. So, while it's valuable, getting in might not be a breeze. It's like stumbling upon something precious, but you have to meet some tough standards. Nonetheless, it's worth exploring and trying to meet those criteria if it aligns with your goals. A bit like finding a hidden treasure, but with a challenging path to reach it.

True, we do have plenty of individuals who poses enough skills and talent to take up these jobs but difficult to crack one as there are lot of competitions and sometimes we end up handing over to the wrong person and we have seen this with projects like icoforum wherein the Russian owner trusted and handed over fund to an campaign manager who ran with with 39 ETH worth of funds.

There should be some sort of CAT test or criteria in a more practical way to get through the right candidates.

Right now it's difficult for people to get into these jobs but not impossible.
1038  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Human trafficking on: January 14, 2024, 08:04:50 AM
Human trafficking is indeed one of the worst form of the crime where profits are driven using desperation of marginalised people who are already struggling for a better life, but what saddens ne is the fact that thousands die enroute to Europe from sub Saharan nations through Libya and the horrific stories of these human traffickers sexualy exploiting the helpless people and torturing them and sometimes throwing them out in ocean when the boat is overcrowded. This can be fixed only if world focuses on ongoing conflicts and work on resolving it so that people don't have to leave their country rather than using it for an opportunity to sell arms.
1039  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin ETF Approval; Price dumps, what Next? on: January 14, 2024, 07:41:45 AM
I think that the 2017/2018 situation on the Bitcoin/crypto markets might be repeating.
Back in 2017, everyone was expecting the launch of Bitcoin futures trading, which built up the hype and pumped the BTC price to 20K.
After BTC futures trading was launched, the price dropped and we saw a bearish market during the entire 2018. I understand that BTC futures trading wasn't the main factor for the 2018 bearish market, but it was a significant enough factor to cause the price to drop.
I don't know if this is going to repeat in the same way. The real bull market might occur in 2025, several months after the Bitcoin halving(and after the big central banks begin lowering the interest rates).
We should be ready for several bearish months in 2024.

I have observed the same thing as you have seen in the past and seems like the same market trend is repeating, but we should consider this I mean those bearish months as an opportunity to accumulate as much Bitcoin as possible. I am afraid their might be some panic selling since everyone is expecting a bull run this year. but we might see it only in 2025 Bitcoin veterans already knows about it and don't bother to panic.
1040  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading in percentage as a risk strategy. on: January 14, 2024, 07:15:06 AM
I have numerous strategies which I have implemented though some have been successful while fee backfired. DCA is my most trusted option for time being and also I have divided my funds based on strategy and a part of it I tried to make multiple quick trades of smaller margins aiming to get atleast half percent profit everyday and I use only Bitcoin for this purpose and trust me this gives good profit on longer run.

I don't risk trading altcoins very often but sometime for quick profit though it ends up in lose sometimes.
