I am currently unable to login onto the site. I've tried multiple browsers, but on all of them i'm getting the same error.

-- ERROR:"SSL_ERROR_ACCESS_DENIED_ALERT" --

Anyone else encountering this? I haven't been on the site for a long time, i presume they changed from HTTPS provider, do i need to delete /reinstall my browser (Or is there something you could resolve )?
( Can't really find anything about this issue on google. Only if it doesn't work in general/all sites., which isn't the case)

It works fine on mobile, since i have never logged on there before, but it is still pretty annoying. This is the only site i'm encountering this error with aswell.

Try clearing your browsers cache and eventual try to remove all cookies referring to cryptopia.
No problem to reach the site here.

@devs
When can we expect cryptopia exchange listing?
I want to invest, but I wouldn't like to keep my coins on poloniex.

Good question. The listing fee has been paid, but I've had no contact from them. I did open a support ticket to ask if they needed any additional info, etc, but their support ticket system says the wait is about 12 days.

I wonder how Cryptopia will solve the problem of having already listed Bytom with ticker BTM..:

Can someone who has a synced wallet and active peers post a peer list for people to use?  I'll work on getting a dedicated node up and running to sync to.

-Fuse

Here you go. These are the listening wallets my node knows of:
Code:
addnode=173.255.219.182
addnode=173.209.44.34
addnode=81.229.156.238
addnode=119.28.12.152

Number of ticket?

Why do you need the ticket number?  Please read my post again and you will see it is a positive post.

Coinexchange.io was quick to resolve the problem.  I think very highly of coinexchange.io.

I repeat, the issue I was having was solved and it was taken care of by coinexchange.io.

Thanks,

G.P.

"About 12 hours after I contacted Coinexchange.io support about my issue" on 2 January.
We are all with ticket number > 38k and for sure a lot of these are from 26/27 December. The only thing we receaved are just an automatic message saying that they will fix that with technical support.
So I think for sure that you're a liar and in someway you have some partnership or collaboration with coinexchange.io to keep high the valutation of this website.
They have 35/40% of their walets all under maintenance and I really think they are compromised in someway (maybe some hacking attack during holidays).
It's completly impossible that they fixed your problem date on 2 January after 12 Hours. You did not say the coins where you had problem and the ticket number. so dude, you're just a liar that's all Wink
My ticket number (and was created 30December) says actually that: Being Processed since 4 days 21 hours
So who the fuck can believe that you after some "little" problem receaved istantly after 12 hours of opening ticket a solution if 40% of their wallet are under maintenance and they are destroyed by messages on twitter too about problem with withdrawl/deposit coins?
You're just a fake user with a fake feedback Wink gg!

I don't know if this user is fake, but my ticket in december with TXID 1 got resolved literally within minutes.

I had made very good experiences at all exchanges by being polite in my support requests and giving all the information needed.

Having trouble getting in. I get the login screen but no email verification is coming through.

Same here, slow like hell and no confirmation email after successful login. API access still works, albeit slow but works.

[UPDATE 19:09]: Still slow but back working, I can login.

And back to non-working again.
Takes forever to load the verify page and the email with the code never comes in.

If updating from github, should we checkout master or v0.7.5.21-flt ?

Thanks.

Master and 0.7.5.21 are the same at the moment.  Currently any work is done in a test branch to avoid issues with users that compile master.

Thank you, I checked out v0.7.5.21-flt and it gave me the correct version in getinfo, so I figured I am on the right track,

Serious question, why are you mining this coin?  It doesn't even look like you can give them away on Nova Exchange.

Also, just downloaded the new wallet, and I have a question.  I put my wallet.dat file into the roaming folder and nothing is showing up.  Did I read correctly, that if I have older coins that they are now no longer usable?  Is that correct?

Because we like it and have history with it. nothing more at this moment. Sometimes mining is a hobby too  Grin

If you have balance BEFORE block fork (block 1299878) than you can have your Old wallet balance in new wallet.
All balance (tx send/receive) after fork block will not shown since its already in diff chain (old blockchain)

I honestly have no idea what block these are from.  I used to mine Fedora in 2013/2014.

If you familiar with current bitcoin's fork event, like BCH, BTG ect, than it will easier to explain
TIPS have hardfork at block 1299878 (30th Jun 2016 15:17:38) so every wallet balance in that block will get snapshot and move to new chainblock

Old TIPS wallet still function until block 1664000 (14th Mar 2017 14:54:51) before it stuck and *out of sync* or dead

Hey,
Wanted to follow up on this topic again.  So what should my next steps be?  Are my old Tips no longer useable, or can they be placed into the new wallet (or are they just a completely different coin now with the same name?)

The procedure to regain the TIPS you had before the hard fork is:
  • Download a win wallet from the OP or compile the linux wallet from github
  • Place your old wallet.dat into the fedoracoin folder (~/.fedoracoin on Linux)
  • Let the wallet synch up and see your old TIPS re-appearing
  • Enjoy your TIPS

The L3+ is available again, but only for payment with BCH - got trapped in that as I have no BCH and didn't notice they only accept BCH this time.
Bah!

to psycodad: really 1MB blocks TIPS? Why not 2 or 3? Nearest my transaction BTC (1MB too) within 5 min. And how adv and disadv when compare  with larger ones?

To the best of my knowledge we haven't seen a single block yet that was full. I am not objecting a block size increase but I just want to point out that currently there is no need for it.

Anybody having issues using CAT on Cryptopia?

Yes, Cryptopia is super laggy and basically unusable since a good day or so, same for working interactively in the exchange - loads of errors etc.
Let's assume they are on party and will improve the site after their New Year party is over.

I cant even log on from CAT. "CAT is not able to communicate with exchange"

After C.A.T. and Cryptopia enjoyed a little break over New Year it started to work as usual again this morning.

Same problem here. While until this afternoon it was working, slowly and buggy it now stopped communicating with Cryptopia completely.

Meanwhile the web exchange side is working again like a charm and pretty speedy but C.A.T. logs are filled with
Code:
2017-12-31 23:15:30| Message Type : Error
HTTP Api Call Error : sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target No Response Data From Server (Attempt 10) API Call Retry in 10 Seconds...

At the same time calls to the public API work perfectly fine from the same PC (via web browser and from python/wget). To me it looks/sounds as if C.A.T. has trouble building a correct certificate chain to validate the ssl certificate of cryptopia (who may have changed that, even so the expiry date doesn't suggest that).

Maybe Sampey can shed some light on this when he is back next year.

But now for something completely different: Happy New Year to all of you!

Hello guys,
Please, activate frankocoin wallet in Yobit :/
I need sell my frankocoins

You could sell them on NLExchange, but the order books are almost empty and last price is 10Sat.

We all won't get old enough to see Yobits wallet getting out of maintenance (like a whole bunch of other wallets that are in perma-maintenance there).

Some guy has pumped up his hashrate from 20ghs to 40ghs on poolto. This is almost the whole network hashrate.

So for my understanding,what is the advantage of having a very high hashrate for the coin? Just faster transactions?

What kurbeks said.
But the higher hashrate also is a good insurance against 51% attacks and selfish mining (you now need 40 Antminers or more to attack TIPS with a slight chance of success). Makes the chain more secure and respected.

Though transactions do not get faster in any way at all by higher hashrate, the block time should always be around 1minute and we have max. 1MB blocks, though most pools/miners use the default of 250kB max blocksize.

After checking with ShortBlade via PM I concluded that we do not have enough public nodes to synch from.
I found a great deal at hostmybytes for a speedy VPS in London and have setup another TIPS seed node on it. This should speed up synching noteably, especially for users in Europe but also for the rest of the world, as the datacenter of hostmybytes seems to have very good and low latency links.

Judging from the number of connections the new seed node gets, I am pretty sure this improves the synch situation massively.

I also tested to synch a new client behind a broadband connection from scratch and while it started with a promising speed, it suddenly got stuck with tons of

...ProcessBlock() ProcessBlock: ORPHAN BLOCK 751...

messages in debug.log and the client stopped getting new blocks until I restarted it. It turns out if the download is now getting too fast too many blocks out of order and the default of received blocks to keep in memory is set to 750 by default.
This can easily be increased to something like 2500-5000 which speeds up the synching extremly. With my test client I got ~200'000 blocks in 10 minutes, which gives an estimate of less than 2 hours for the complete synching.

I would like to ask those that have troubles synching to add the following line to their fedoracoin.conf, stopping and restarting the client and checking if that eases their synching pains:
Code:
maxorphanblocks=2500
(you can go up to 10000 if your pc has 8GB or more memory - at least with TIPS where we do not have full blocks all so often)

If nobody notices any silly side effects, I'd vote to make this permanent in the client with the following change in src/main.h from:
Code:
src/main.h:static const unsigned int DEFAULT_MAX_ORPHAN_BLOCKS = 750;
to
Code:
src/main.h:static const unsigned int DEFAULT_MAX_ORPHAN_BLOCKS = 2500;

Let us know what you experience with the maxorphanblock increased.

Cheers - psycodad

I've bit the bullet and installed the new client, but the swap process stopped working for me.
Are swaps still being processed? My last one is  >60hours old and in status "Moved to Cold Storage".

Thanks.

The swaps have been taking longer than they say. The website says it will be done within 48 hours, but my experience has been that it takes 2-5 days. I've been swapping 20% of my coins at a time just to make sure that I don't lose everything in case something goes bad. I've always gotten my swapped coins though.

I would advise you to just be patient. It's all being done manually. You'll probably get your swapped coins within the next day or so.

You can check the swaplist (http://casinocoin.org/swaplist/) and see that (with one large exception) the oldest open swap is about 72 hours old. You can also see all the previous transactions that have gone through and been finalized.

Thank you both for your reassuring words, I'll keep calm and waiting  Wink

Actually my swap in question is among the oldest on the list at http://casinocoin.org/swaplist/ . I unfortunately have to swap smaller chunks as I was unable to consolidate all the inputs from mining enough to be able to do it in one or two swaps.

So far my previous swaps also worked and also both in less than 48hours so I was a bit worried when I first sent my largest possible tx and it seemed stuck in "moved to cold storage" stage.
