1021  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Posting/Sharing gambling related topics & news in facebook on: September 18, 2017, 10:16:48 AM
Hi, are you guys afraid of posting or sharing gambling related topics & news in your personal facebook ?

is it because afraid of siblings, parents or girlfriend noticed it ?

or dont wanna let your workmate, colleagues know that you addicted to gambling ?

Yes, I try not to post such things on Facebook where family and friends can see. Don't want people to know I'm into gambling as they will become concerned if I'm addicted etc. ...

For me, its for the simple fact that most peers of mine won't even give a finger twitch about it. Gambling's not really that attractive wih most of my friends and me so it didn't come to my mind to post anything related to gambling. Its not hat i'm ashamed or scared, it just doesn't seem interesting enough
1022  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Getting started with sports betting! on: September 18, 2017, 10:14:02 AM
Sports betting is really risky most of the sites you have mentioned have limitations in the amount of money you can win and if you want to withdraw your funds they ask for various verification and finally you don't get anything stick to

Hose verifications are necessary though and it's for the user's sexurity so personally i don't have any qualms about that. And with sports betting, unless you're going to be technical about it with the +/- odds and percentages, its pretty simple with who'll win or lose, and if you're a sports fan, ypu have a pretty good chance of making profit
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: September 18, 2017, 10:11:17 AM
I don't really think people change their habits that much. I think they just think more in terms of btc then in terms of us value. Most casinos also dediakt to a 0.001 or 0.0001 btc bet. It's scary playing then realizing he much BTC has gone up. 0.001 can quickly become multiple of 0.01 and I'd things go bad that into dangerous territory of close to a whole BTC.

From sports betting point of view I'm not affected by the volatility of Bitcoin that much and so I just follow through my limits on each single bet or parlay irrespective of the prevailing Bitcoin price and then place my bets. That discipline has helped me maintain a pattern whether or not Bitcoin prices rise or fall.

Yeah because whatever the current fiat equivalent of your bet is, it's still in btc form so whether you bet 1btc equivalent to 3k or 1btc equivqlent to 4k, it's still 1btc basically. Thoughbof course if the difference is a lot different, then that may warrant some considerstions
1024  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Poker v Other casino games online on: September 18, 2017, 10:06:10 AM
We all know how much bitcoin users love dice but I think even poker websites ( bitcoin supporting sites ) also generate same or even more revenue than dice sites . Do you guys play only dice or only poker or both using bitcoins ?

I don't think poker sites can be a competition to dice sites at all those which are accepting bitcoins. People love playing dice games as it has more risk but more chances of getting a lot of profit at the same time. They (including me) enjoy playing dice and using all the strategies to try their luck every now and then, which i don't think people do a lot on poker sites or maybe it is not possible to apply any strategies in poker (i don't know because i never play poker).

The people will play both games. But Dice game a newbie can play, to play Poker game we need knowledge about this game. One is fully luck base game, and another one is skill base game. Profit wise if you think means Poker is the best, but many people will not play because it takes time to finish the game and lot of competition to win a big amount. So people like a dice game.
Most of them play dice because they do not have much free time. But if you have free time, why not play poker? Moreover, there are tables with large stakes, where you can win a decent amount of money.
The reason is that poker is a difficult game, everyone can play dice, you are as good as you are going to be since there is not a chance of winning but in poker you need to study and practice the game and people do not like to make efforts especially in things they consider must be fun and easy.
The real fun in the gambling we will see in this Poker game. Why because it requires both skills and luck to win the game. And in this game skill set is very important this will improve our thinking capacity, and it will improve our strategies technics. If you play half day, also you will not get bored in this game, but you can't play more than 1 hour Dice game it will get bored. For short time fun, Dice is ok, but you want full entertainment in gambling then play Poker game.
You are definitely right when it comes on playing these two games we can really feel the difference regarding on the enjoyment that it gives.Dice games are only good for short term and regarding on poker you can able to play it even how many hours in a single day because your mind skills and emotion will surely stick with it.You would really enjoy specially if your opponents are good but dont gamble too much and its much still better to balance your time in your daily routine.
Well honestly base on my own experience dice game is for short term because its not really entertainment but there are still many bitcoin users are playing dice game because they wanted to see the fast result and fast profit, unlike poker that can play with your own skills and you can be entertain i think any card games are fun to play and it will be base in luck and skills unlike dice game is pure on luck. .

I think the simplicity of dice is what attracts most btc users to it. Plus it's available also in exchanges for traders to  play with to pass time and move away from trading for a little while. Poker is different in many aspects. Just the challenge and interaction in poker cannot be found in dice or any other luck based games
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why trading is better than gambling? on: September 18, 2017, 09:23:04 AM
If you don't have any kind of trading skills is not much better than gambling, actually if you don't have any skill trading  is worst than gambling, on the gamble you could earn big by luck, on trading is not a matter of lucky is a matter of making the right decitions on the correct and exact moment.

Yes trading requires you to have a good knowledge about lot of thing like economics, Technical and Analytical . While in gambling majority of games can be played by any of them and only you require is a luck but that is not the case in Trading. Any one can do gambling but not everyone can trade if you do not have proper skills to get return.

Well trading advances your knowledge but so is gambling too, trading somewhat appears decent to a lot of people and that's probably the reason why a lot of people frown on gambling because it's for people looking for quick gains and most of these guys are social deviants. I particularly do both but I don't think trading is the better option but I will put both at parity.

I disagree with you though dude. When it comes to money matters, i think gambling is the worst thing you can do with your money. Though trading still is risky, it's a legitimate platform where information and experience can really make you profit. I don't think that can be said with gambling.
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: September 18, 2017, 08:58:42 AM
If you're not limiting yourself I'm sure it will be a problem for you in the future, especially in gambling, which makes people addicted. Even for people who limit themselves it is very difficult to leave a gamble, especially if you do not limit yourself.
I totally agree, gamblers who sets limit to themselves can also be possibly be an addicted what more to those who are not setting up limits to themselves. I guess it will be very diffucult for them to leave gambling and lose all their money.

Since gambling has a house edge you will eventually lose to not limiting yourself will eoad to alot of loss and maybe too much to handle for most people. So rather set aside a certain amount daily weekly or monthly and only is that amount. That will be the cost of having gambling as a hobby. Setting limits is good that way you know you won't lose everything Important.

That's true, as a sports betting enthusiast I set a limit not to play beyond 5$ equivalent on all my single bets and parlays and so if I'm to loose at any moment in time it's going to be 5$ or less and this technique has helped me control my finances with regards to gambling.

Hopefully you can share that to other sports betting enthusiasts as well. It's a good thing to come up with ideas on how to regulate your expenses with gambling. And to have the control to enforce those limits that you set up.
1027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to control greed on gambling? on: September 18, 2017, 07:12:33 AM
If gamblers want to control greed on gambling if must start with their self. They must be good at controlling their emotion. If they don't do this the chances of controlling their greed is low then they are prone to losses.

I agree, having self discipline is one of the keys to avoid this too much greed that could devour our minds to addiction. Also, if you could control yoirself in gambling, you could also avoid losing too much money, setting an amount will help too, because after you lose the amount of money that you had set, then it just mean that you have to call it a day and try again tomorrow.

Setting up betting/gambling limits have actually proven to work for me and has helped me discipline myself with an upto 5$ limit on all bets depending on the odds of the parlay or single bet.

Discipline i think boils down tonthe proper mindset and how you see things. Greed is somethingnthat can be avoided if a person knows contentment. I think its important to know when to be contented and be happy with the little things we get.
1028  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: September 18, 2017, 07:08:27 AM
Who do you think would make the most improvement of all teams this upcoming season? In the West, I would place my bet on the Minnesota Timberwolves to really make a splash with a much improved line up that is ready to make a run to the playoffs. Meanwhile in the East, I think it would be the Philadelphia 76ers with their very young and talented core of Embiid, Simmons and Fultz.

What do you think about Rockets in the West? And for the East there is a crowd favorite team now which is Bucks, everyone loves Giannis and for sure he keeps on improving every season. I'm waiting for him to see in the semi's and if possible in the finals. I'm seeing him as same versatile player like Lebron, he got a big potential in his career I hope that he will not be injured early.

Me too. After last season, i've been eyeing that greek freak and hace watched videos and highlights of him even before the nba and the kid is really good. Future is really bright for a bucks team that will be built around this fellow. They almost made it last season to the playoffs and hopefully this time around they'll make it
1029  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: September 18, 2017, 07:05:05 AM
I'm not dependent on gambling and can calmly stop the game at any time or play on a demo account without money. This is for me a little entertainment that great cheers when I'm bored.
Same as you , I am not addicted in gambling, also i didn't consider it like a source for making profit, I just do it for fun no more.
Mostly i play gambling in the winter because all leagues in the world start in this time, Even the champions leagues and Europa leagues, which It's my favoirt sections of gambling is sports, exactly football, So i am enjoyed to do some bets in every weekends and sometimes in the middel of weeks, when there is CL.

Anyone who've considered gambling as a source of income probably have regretted it right now. As with both of you, gambling for me is an avtivity that doesn't really have to be taken seriously. It's something i can definitely live without and not something that i'd risk my livelihood and relationships for
1030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Problem Gamblers here who are in Debt ? on: September 18, 2017, 06:47:01 AM
Best solution to regain happiness? It's an easy thing, I'm sure that all of us aren't relying all of our happiness in gambling. There is/are something else that you can find your happiness. But first, pay the debts or all the credits you've got. This makes you rooted and can't move on and after paying it, try to search yourself on where you are really happy.

What you said is correct. Gambling is not a life or happiness but it is one of the ways to get fun. But if one thing that they can't afford to get these fun then there are many other ways people can spend their free time and get entertainment. Always remember that you shouldn't either invest or gamble with the borrowed money because it can put you in a bigger problem. If you can't afford then don't invest or gamble.

Apparently, I'm having happiness with gambling and also with other things. You just have to know better about yourself. Others may say that gambling is an expensive way to have fun and the reminder that you had said is very true. Just don't add another problem or don't resolve a problem out of another problem.

If you're having happiness with gambling by loosing your money why don't you then try placing demo bets where you wouldn't need to bet with your real money and so nothing is lost if you loose.
Because those gamble for fun like the risk of losing money, look at all those persons that like to practice extreme sports or that practice marital arts, those activities are risky and they do it because they like the feeling they get when they do that, I think gambling is similar.

I guees you're right. Extreme sports, its like placing your life on the line. It has more weight than placing your money on fhe line. Though it wouldn't hurt to try other things especially if you're already in debt. It's not only you that will be.affected but the person you borrowed from as well
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA eurobasket 2017 on: September 18, 2017, 06:34:08 AM
Congratulations to Slovenian team. They deserve gold medal, have finished this championship without losing a match. Goran Dragic is a true MVP of the Eurobasket. All the congratulations to Serbia too. With all those injuries before and on championship this is crazy result for them. This was amazing finale, great game, two hours of quality basketball program.

Indeed that was quite a match worthy of a gold medal. Dragic's stock would be boosted this coming nba season for his performance this tournament. This serbian team showed heart though and looking for a good bounce back with a healthy lineup next time
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you feel when win in gambling? on: September 18, 2017, 06:19:37 AM
I feel proud when i win in gambling. Most of gamblers have feel like this, because win in gambling is not always sometimes we lose sometimes we win. So we are happy when we win in gambling not all are blessed to win or lucky. We can also proud to the other people that have won in gambling. Gambling is not easy to win when we have no knowledge or strategy in gambling its hard for us to win.

Somehow, i don't feel the same as you. For something that didn't come from my own skill and hardwork, it doesn't seem to be something to be proud of. Well of course you'll be happy  definitely but if it's from luck, pride isn't one of the emotions that i would feel
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you ever lose time from work or school due to gambling? on: September 18, 2017, 05:18:39 AM
No, I never lose time on gambling, because I do not feel dependent on them. If I know that I do not have enough time, I do not start playing so that I'm not late for being late for playing games.

Yeah. Its not really an important aspect that should play a big part in your life. People should know to put things in their places. Gambling is fun and exciting, with a chance to earn money, but it's not something you have to waste ypur life on compromising work or school.
1034  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: September 18, 2017, 05:02:06 AM
I don't go to a land based casinos because I don't feel comfortable gambling with a lot of people and I don't have someone to go with. I feel like the people go there are the rich ones who has plenty of money.

Not all the time. I go to land based casinos and i'm not someone that has a lot of money. I pretty mich go there for experience. Though the other is probably right. I don't think i'd go there if i'm alone. Of course it has to be with friends. Probably that's the biggest challenge for you, to find someone to go with you to a casino
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I always lose all my tokens and btc on gambling~ on: September 18, 2017, 04:59:40 AM
I guess, gambling is not actually for me.
I kinda feel bad on all the tokens wasted on gambling but it's kinda my "when I'm bored" hobby.
Do you guys have any tips on how to not to lose all you tokens on gambling?
Of course you need to set up limits to yourself if you lose money that you can afford to lose maybe it is just fine because as what you've said you just play when you are bored.. But if you are not addicted i think it is still fine, as long as you know yourself.

Yeah that's right. You're likely to be the type that can control yourself when it comes to gambling. So its not that important to you. Gambling can be something done for leisure only so you eon't come to a poiby where it will hurt you financially. Just continue with what yoi're doing and stop when you feel that it's getting out of hand
1036  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are the Big Gambling sites paying taxes? on: September 18, 2017, 04:55:27 AM
They have to. Governments would be aware and would crack down on these sites if they can't milk anything from something that generates so much money. Even gambling sites utilizing bitcoin would be hardpressed not to pay taxes.
1037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mayweather Vs McGregor: Info and prediction thread on: September 18, 2017, 04:51:00 AM
The game is over, there is no need to bump this thread anymore. (Unless we see a rematch.)
Mayweather was the favorite and won the game. We didn't see any surprise. He beats McGregor's ass and made 50-0.
It's time for him to retire, he's too old now.
There would never be a rematch in my opinion because Mayweather doesn't need it anymore and that match made him lots of money and it's just one game for him. It was obvious that he would win knowing that he's 49-0 before the match happened and probably he wanted to make his 50th match to be an amazing one or a unique one and that's what he did.

I think he's just toiling with the minds of the rest of us in the world. He's making serious market from us by promoting dull games with trash talk so he can milk us and he's succeeded in a number of times that's why he will not go for a rematch because they won't sell so he will probably look for another trash talker and they'd hype a new fight perhaps.
I thought about that too, I just think he doesn't need to earn more money with his fights and it's just going to be upright scripted if you ask me. 50 - 0 is already an awesome number for him to be in the real retirement stage, he wouldn't have another match anymore. He doesn't even need the money nonetheless, Mayweather has all the material things at his disposal.

He's done. This fight is done and a rematch is very unlikely. Connor should stay away from boxing and shouldn't juggle between ghe two contact sports he's tried. Very few excelled in any two sport. Even michael jordan realized this after his short stint as a baseball player
I think it's going to be a rough path for Conor if he wants to pursue a profesional boxing career starting at age 29... even if he is a MMA champion, he needs a lot of training to excel against top boxers.

I believe he can milk his fame and get tons of money in superfights where there is a lot of drama involved, for example a Malignaggi fight would definitely be a great success financially.

If he wants to take this path and milk his popularity then its better for him to go WWE. They can build him a good story line and I'm sure a lot of fans will buy tickets even if its super expensive just to see him and his big mouth. LOL. The Paulie fight would be funny as hell and hardcore fans will not buy into this. I'm sure Paulie would love to kick Conor's ass for real money. But nah, I wont be interested to watch. Its gonna be another circus for all we care.

First off, the fight was over, why are people still interested in continuing this thread. Probably if you guys want to recommend a career path for Connor why not make a new thread for him, eh?

About your WWE recommendation, that is shit. WWE is fake and you want a good fighter to just act? What a waste of talent that would be.

Well until this thread isn't closed yet people would still put insights and new topics would come up like that wwe thing. Its entertainment. I think if ever conor agrees to that it will be a cameo appearance to boost ratings. Mcgregor loves publicity and thrives in the spotlight, it wouldn't hurt to act a little
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: lucky ! does it influences by a woman beside of us? on: September 17, 2017, 05:00:24 PM
Its just math and timing , apart from this nothing matters . You go for over 99 on dice 100 times , you may hit it 3 times or 0 times it just depends on the seed and nothing else . Superstition is not soooo good in gambling , it will make you loose more than you want to .
maybe its just inside our minds thinking that there's some luck  that will happen if we believe doing this stuff, but for most of the time girls
just tricking our minds when we played and its much bigger chances to lose your money after.

Right. Luck doesn't get influenced by anything because if it does, we'd probably have bankrupt gambling sites. Though it doesn't hurt to think that having a pretty woman beside you when gambling is lucky. Having that in itself is lucky enough for me, nevermind if i win or not  Cheesy
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Favorite type of gambling? on: September 17, 2017, 04:54:25 PM
I really like with a dice game, a simple game and if you're disciplined, this game will get good results. Besides sports betting are my favorite, I really like making a parlay and make huge gains by betting small amount.

Not exactly good results because dice really doesn't give you any advantages to get a good roll even if you're diaciplined. Being disciplined would only lessen the chances of you losing huge amounts. Sport betting though, we have the same fondness for it. Though a little while ago i lost a bet with canelo alvarez salvaging a draw against ggg. Goes to show you really can't be sure with any form of gambling
1040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the future of gambling on: September 17, 2017, 04:48:59 PM
I think in near future only thing that will change in gambling is only that real life casinos will accept bitcoins, alongside some internet gambling stores that don't accept bitcoins yet.

Everything else will be same i think, well maybe sites will accept other coins too.

Exactly. Gambling will be gambling no matter what the form is. There's been a lot of changes or you can just say upgrades to gambling ever since the old times. Gambling didn't really change then but adapted to the times. So its likely that it will stay that way to the future.
