1021  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 26, 2014, 11:34:17 AM
Did you include a small transaction fee in the payment? Otherwise it can take hours to confirm.

Is that correct ?
I thought the transaction fee (or lack of it) can affect the speed of inclusion in a block (& 1st confirmation), but there are 4 confirms already so doesn't that mean it is already in a block and only time needed for rest of confirmations (barring a major failure of the Bitcoin protocol) - or am I misunderstanding it ?

You are right. The fee only affects inclusion or not of the tx in a (first) block. All subsequent confirmations are just next blocks in the chains. So if your tx has got 4 confs already, you just need 2 more blocks on the chain and you'll get all 6 confs.
1022  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.4 Released MANDATORY UPDATE on: January 26, 2014, 08:57:52 AM
Says 'Invalid DogeCoin address'  Huh

You need to do this from the wallet that SENT the transaction that is not confirming.

Internally, your wallet contains accounts, and each of your addresses is associated with one of these accounts.

In the debug window, type this to list your accounts:

Code:
> listaccounts

Then you can list the address(es) that are associated with each account:

Code:
> getaddressesbyaccount <account>

In the updated client, you can then import the address with the commands in my previous post.

I didn't follow the conversation from the start, but an easier method is just to backup wallet.dat and then update to the new client. If everything goes as expected, you should have to do anything but wait for the new client to synchronise with the network.

Currently, the transaction that you are saying is not confirming is not relayed on the network, probably because your old version cannot sync with the current chain. If you upgrade the client, it will broadcast the stuck transaction again, and this time it should be confirmed.

If you use the export/import method, and give up with the old client altogether, it will be like this transaction never existed in the first place.

What was the address that you sent the coins from? If you use the Dogecoin explorer you can look it up, and you should see that the coins are still there. They probably aren't gone, just stuck.

So where can I find my private key?

Thanks

In the Dogecoin-qt client, go to 'Help' > 'Debug Window', then use the command:

Code:
> dumpprivkey <dogecoinaddress>

Obviously, you should keep the result of this command secret!

Then in the new wallet, use this command to reimport your private key (the public key, i.e. your address, is contained in the private key)

Code:
> importprivkey <dogecoinprivkey>
1024  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY 7 OPEN] Antminer 180GH @ 1.90 BTC - Chinese End of the Year Sale - on: January 26, 2014, 04:04:09 AM
Well, I know that they're shipping, and that Sushi is doing his job getting a whole lot of miners shipped off. But it still would be comforting to have the slightest amount of feedback on orders that have been placed. Order 297: still no shipping information coming from Shenzen on MyUPS, the address I sent the Bitcoin to from still has that balance with no activity since Tuesday, and my order page still has no update from when the order was first created on the 20th.

If Sushi has shipped all orders that were placed, then I'll accept that. I'm just concerned that since MyUPS doesn't show anything, somehow I got skipped! If you see this when you get up Sushi, could you please check on my little order to ease my mind?

Thank you for running this group buy! I really do appreciate it, just, once you take a look at someone's order and begin the process of ordering (sending Bitmain the shipping address or whatever you do) could you change the status from processing to anything else so we know you acknowledge we exist? Even "pending" or "receipt confirmed" would be better than silence.

If that may help, you may have seen that I have order 292 and went nuts because I didn't get my tracking number before Friday late at night. I thought that it wasn't sent on January 21 as promised, but actually it was, and the reasons of delays are clearly due to UPS. And for what it's worth, I have a MyUPS account but it never showed up in it, my understanding is that this feature is not available worldwide (don't know if you are US based or not, I am not).

I have also noticed that Sushi seems overwhelmed with requests and PM, but so far he never failed to do his part of the job 100% correctly until proven otherwise, so let's trust him!
1025  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Profit-switching scrypt+ASIC Pool] multipool.us on: January 25, 2014, 10:54:07 AM
It started working again, but I have to notice that a have very little coins from tonight. Can some clarify this?

Pools were down for a while tonight. You may want to check your backup pool(s).

Tracking Number wise, I'm constantly working on to speed up the notification time. Going to the shopping cart system was one of the attempt so, I don't get fall behind on the same PM asking for the tracking number over and over again before I can find the important PM about tech support, customer services and defective item issues.

When I can find a better solution, I will try it.  For now, all I can promises is I DO SHIP, unless I goofed or screw up the order, your order will ship as I have managed well over 1,000 units of Antminers and I think I had a few missed orders and a few UPS lost packages (Later located by the UPS)

But I don't see obtaining the tracking number any sooner in the near future group buy for a while...  (Solution: I do list late tracking number warning on the item description before you buy!!!)

I thought of the following: if you know which orders have been sent for sure, but you just don't know the tracking number yet, maybe you can mark them as 'shipped' instead of 'processing' on your website?

My 1st order has been delivered a long time ago, but it's still showing as 'processing'

Personally I was getting mad because I thought it still wasn't shipped yet, and as I didn't know about the delay, airplane problems of UPS, and the 1st order delivery was only 2 days (now it's over 4 days and it's still in transit somewhere).

Sushi!!!!!

1) OK I am some idiot without patience,

2) YES, you did ship at the promise date,

3) IF YOU COULD SOLVE this problem of tracking numbers, stupid haters like me would know who to hate (not you)

4) UPS totally sucks and screwed the delivery with non-working airplanes.... maybe you should use DHL? (oh, they're telling me they're all the same, ok)

5) SORRY! My turn to give you my apologies
1031  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: January 24, 2014, 06:45:22 PM
Yeah you Blade look like he's on strike - normal idle proxy output indeed.

Maybe network sniffing / packet inspection (tcpdump or wireshark) can help, at this stage nothing else would come to my mind...

Still at 0 here. I'm guessing you did complain?  I'm just guessing that they're only oiling the squeaky wheels.

I complained to their support email address back in October already, but never got an answer before recently. Then I complained (or rather sighed) here about my loss and them running away with the money, but that's pretty much it. I think they really are on their way, just leave them a message.

Some Tracking Numbers are IN!!!

Please give me 4-5 hours to come home and start sending out the tracking number notice to each of you!!!

Also, the last shipping date is January 25th!  Please pay up!!!  if I missed your orders or scrwed up the total number, it can be adjusted on January 27th shipping (NOT FOR NEW SALES BUT FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE RELATED NEED ONLY)

Sushi :-(((((

It's been over nine hours now.... if you have the tracking number, why don't you just send them? It's important for us! Do you realise that I took the day off yesterday, and then again today, because I didn't want to miss them? there's no saturday delivery here and they should be arrived a long time ago already.

I'm sorry but I'm losing patience because you have given missed deadlines for these tracking 3 times already. I even tried to call UPS but they just laugh at me being unable to collect tracking number from the sender, seems so basic indeed...

Please!

What about orders of Jan 19, they were due to ship Jan 21, can you confirm this?

The earliest pre-ship date announced is 23 JAN. Im not sure about any other earlier pre-ship dates.

 Huh Huh Huh

Was this a fake e-mail? I'm getting worried! Still no tracking...

And those who ordered from BITMAINTECH have got them already?
And someone here said it should appear in MyUPS but it does not for me?
And someone here ordered 1 day after me, got his tracking the day after and received it yesterday?

I'm sorry for bitching but there must be something wrong with my order.
Two days ago I received a PM saying the tracking would be coming within hours already.
I ordered 2 units, and I already stayed home yesterday without knowing if it would arrive or not...
Please check... it's just a tracking number after all?! Thanks!

Just to add, I ordered mine on the 20th from sushi-review.com, got shipping info the 22nd, received them the 23rd, and now they're hashing away perfectly.  Had some glitches with the directions for the network setup and with the newest firmware (I had to downgrade both to the 20131212 version to avoid the recurrent beeping and rebooting), but now they're great.  I like how small and quiet they are.  And they were packaged superbly.

Kudos to bitmain and sushi.  Thanks again!

What was your order number? Mine is ...292 and ordered on Jan 19, no shipping info yet Huh

Hoping to get it today (the number and the ASICs... new 2G+ diff coming in today too, for sure!)
1040  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Guide] Dogie's Comprehensive ASICMiner Blade Setup on: January 24, 2014, 04:37:36 AM
OK, this is weird. After being down overnight for about 11 hours, my blade spontaneously started working normally for about 11 hours, and it has now stopped again.  Huh

If you have a way to log the output from your stratum mining proxy, you should check for unusual output at the moment when it stopped hashing. It should be at least a starting point to debug.

Sometimes, my stratum proxy doesn't reconnect on disconnection from pool, or takes ages before it reconnects.
