1021  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin commercials on: January 11, 2024, 09:16:40 PM
Those commercials are good for Bitcoin I guess because if more audience view such commercials then they may get some interest in Bitcoin and finally we many have thousands of more investors who start investing in Bitcoin. I hope that soon Black Rock may release their commercial as that would really help to gain new investors who would wholeheartedly invest in Bitcoin after learning about it via those commercials.

Out of all those commercials I believe the Bitwise's and and Greyscale's commercials are quite inspiring. But, the Black Rock's commercial will be at another level. I hope they will also release their commercial soon. No doubt in current available commercials the winner is Bitwise. I'm sure those commercials will help Bitcoin to get more exposure and wide audience may like to learn about Bitcoin after watching those commercials. Bitcoin is going to be the trend of the year.
1022  Other / Meta / Re: [SUGGESTION] Bitcointalk official acceleration thread. on: January 11, 2024, 09:02:48 PM
I think whatever philipma1957 said is 100% true and that's why creating of such thread would be of no help to anyone. The miners who are actually part of this forum and are active here don't have that much hash power and that's why it's not going to be possible for them to accelerate the transactions.

Only the mining pools can do that but I don't think that any of the mining pools may be agree to create such a thread and accelerate the transactions for the members of this forum. The only good option that's for everyone is always going to be Via BTC transaction accelerator.
1023  Other / Meta / Re: Spammy posts - Mods pls take action on: January 11, 2024, 05:30:22 PM
I'm more inclined to suspect that Op is related to these spammers, I saw he was active on January 9th (don't know how long s/he was active). That's why I chose to report on that topic.
[/quote]
Well, I also suspected that and I also think that those accounts have some relation to OP's account and who knows that all of those accounts might be controlled by the same person just to shill out that thread. This is going to be the worst case of alt-farming and trust me the one who's doing it is just crazy. He's posting random replies from newbie accounts and my have belief that if others find so much involvement on his post then he may get some appreciation in the form of merits.

Does anyone else think these are AI/bot-generated posts?
I also thought that those posts might be AI/bot-generated posts and when I tested a few of those texts on AI text detectors then the detectors detected those as human generated text. I think the one who's making such posts might have done something to play with the AI text and that's why he might be able to generated such text, but I'm not sure about that. I think someone should dig deeper to see that are those posts AI generated or not, I tried my best but I was unable to find any AI text in those posts.
1024  Economy / Reputation / Re: 3 Consecutive years on: January 11, 2024, 05:15:41 PM
That's a great accomplishment, I hope that's enough to keep you motivated to stay on the forum for even longer than those 3 years. I would say congratulations for accomplishing the goal of being active on this forum for 3 years which's a great goal I believe. This forum is a place where we can talk about Bitcoin and other crypto-currencies and we as members should always try to be as honest as we possibly can.

I believe what makes us good members of the forum is to actively contribute information that we have and share our insights about the things that could be helpful for others. I believe the opinion of the members also hold much value on this forum and that's why we should at least try ourselves to help others by sharing our opinion about the things.

I like the way you shared gratitude towards those members who helped you to reach your goals and that's a very generous act. It's in fact our responsibility to respect all those people who help us to achieve something in life. Well, trust me you'll get more success if you be active member of the forum and treat this community as your family. Congratulations once again!
1025  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 11, 2024, 04:56:32 PM
of course, luck it is! what do you think it will be? just hoping that he will make the most of it, and use it wisely. it is also a very good promotion for online crypto casinos. that crypto casinos are legit and not a fraud. i guess, a lot of people are still having bad notion about crypto, let alone casinos or other gambling sites
Yes, it's pure luck nothing else, I know that the player might has put efforts but most credit still goes to his luck I believe. The guy seems to be a smart person and that's the reason he decided to put the winning in investing because in investing one's skills and experiences plays a better role than their luck.

Yes, it's definitely a good promotion for online casinos because when new players hear about such news then they would also try to replicate the wining pattern of this person but most of them will end up losing instead of gaining any substantial winnings. Well, I won't say that crypto-casinos are fraud but surely they have their in house edge which everyone can't beat. The ones who obviously lost a lot of money would always blame the casinos and consider them as frauds. Just ignore those people who lost due to their own greediness.
So why the luck when it is obvious that it is as a result of his efforts and a good understanding of the game? I bet everyone should go and replicate what he did in the name of luck and see what they will get. That is why it is not fair to be relating luck to everything here.
Not only he but many others put effort to win in the games but if their luck is not in their favor then they end up loosing everything instead of winning. Even everyone may replicate what he has done then still they won't get any success unless their luck is in their favor. You can't ignore the fact that in gambling world luck does play its role, I know hard-work and efforts can't be ignored but they won't make someone a winner especially in the world of gambling. Hard-work and efforts give good benefits to those who put those in making a blog, a news site, freelancing, trading, development, etc but it does minimum in the world of gambling.
1026  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is going on??? on: January 11, 2024, 04:29:24 PM
Also, there might be another reason if his laptop/computer/mobile phone is used by his friends then the occurrence might happen by one of his friends who does not require anything change.
That could also happen but for doing something like that the other person who has access to his device be aware of Bitcointalk and its lending board. Most of the people still don't know about this forum and that's why it's unlikely that someone friend could done any harm to someone's account. But, still that's a possibility which we can't avoid.
I read the word "teleporting" several times, and it turns out to be something offered by a shitcoin forum. Are people dumb enough to share their password with them for extra "perks"? If so, that's not even a hack, it's just giving it away.
That altforum and it's admin has never asked for someone's password to give them extra perks. Most of the users who teleported to that forum used completely new password and so far no one of them were forced to use the same password that they have on Bitcointalk or on someone else. In fact they were giving good opportunity to the users who already had ranked on Bitcointalk, I don't think anything is wrong in that. It's a win-win situation for all the users but if someone uses the same password due to his/her own irresponsibility then we can't blame that forum or someone else for that thing.
1027  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: More reason you should protect your privacy and anonymity as a Bitcoin holder. on: January 10, 2024, 09:57:59 PM
That's a very sad story and we hear such stories every once in while. I believe that privacy is highly needed for crypto-investors because if someone from your own home town learns about your holdings then they can do so many wrong things with you. But, the mining can't be done in privacy and if they target miners then how should they protect their privacy? That's something we all have to understand and we all should share our ideas so in future miners may also be able to protect their identity.

It's not really hard to gain information about miners especially government knows a lot about them because they have to work according to the system's rules. I don't think that they can do much to increase their privacy, but at least they should be careful in online world as sharing details about their profits and earnings on social media or other online platforms can cause more damage to them.
1028  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 10, 2024, 09:47:49 PM
That's a very inspiring story and I believe in it because anyone who has a very good luck can win such amounts. The gamer was very lucky and I believe he won only because of his luck. I hope he's enjoying his life after winning $37k which's a pretty decent amount for someone to enjoy their life and also invest in crypto-currencies. I hope he he may have more such winnings and a happy life! Best of luck to him from my side!
1029  Other / Meta / Re: Request: Delete my account on: January 10, 2024, 09:35:11 PM
Request: Delete my account 100% or tell me how to do it myself.
You don't need to request anyone, all you have to do is to log out of the account and forget about the account and the forum. That's how you can do it yourself. It's not a hard task just go and give it a try. You may also clear your browsing history if you don't want the forum's name or URL to appear on your web searches. Best of luck!
1030  Economy / Reputation / Re: What is going on??? on: January 10, 2024, 09:20:47 PM
If the hack happened for using the same password and teleporting the account then only the admin/moderators of that site may know the password. If the hack happened for teleport then the scammer is the admin/moderator. Though I do not know who is the admin/moderator and whether they have any intention to be a hacker or not I think they won't do this. I think the hack might have happened for another reason not for using the same password. One more important fact is that others happened same the hacker (which they said) those are not confirmed about the using of same password.
I also don't know actually who's the admin of that forum and where is he from but I don't think that he would do something like this. Their forum is getting more users each day and most of the users of this forum are already on that forum, that's why they would never do something that would harm their reputation. I think that tjtonmoy used same password on multiple platforms and that can be the reason for his account getting compromised.

I believe that tjtonmoy also created a post where he shared some information about databases where his IP address was found. And, I believe if that's true then his accounts on other platforms might be at risk because hackers often share such databases with other users who can easily copy the details and login with those details. Most of the members aren't aware of such things but that's happening.

It's not a good practice to use the same passwords on different platforms and the one who does that often gets targeted by the hackers. It's always better to use different passwords for different platforms and one should also enable 2FA if it's present. During my research I have also found that some people use their e-mail's original password on other platforms but they don't know that they can easily lose all of their accounts on other platforms if an hacker successfully get logged in to their e-mail accounts.
1031  Economy / Reputation / Re: Sedinvore shady AI seed finder and paid puppets on: January 10, 2024, 09:01:01 PM
I haven't seen his service before and found about it via this post. I believe it's an attempt to install a malware in the Bitcoiners system so the one who created the software can steal their private keys and seed phrases and other details. Most of the time such software come with pre-coded malware and key-loggers and such users mainly target greedy people who like to steal someone else's wallet.

There is no such this as AI brute-forcing or AI getting the seed phrases that someone has forget these are just the tricky words that scammers use to trap the users. I would suggest everyone to be aware of that person and one should never send him any messages at Telegram. Because once someone has installed the software on their system then it would be hard to safe oneself from the harmful affects of it later on.

Although one of the newbie in that thread claims that it can be used on a RDP server but why should someone install such a software on their RDP sever and infect it with the malware? I would never trust such software and it's always better to avoid such software to be protected from the scammers and hackers.

If they were to made a good AI to search for seed phrases then they could have made it open-source but no they choose to make it close source and only windows users can install it. Windows is known as the most vulnerable operating system and hackers know that better. One should avoid install of such software at any cost. And, one should always be careful from such scammers.
1032  Economy / Lending / Re: [Question]Would someone give me a loan? on: January 10, 2024, 01:24:04 PM
With collateral why take the loan if you can sell the collateral coins? If you have collateral and taking a loan does it seems you only wants to boost your trust score rather than wanted to take the loan.
Nope, a collateral is a security measure often taken by the lenders and they won't sell your collateral or do anything to it as long as you pay the loan plus interest on time. I don't think that anybody would pay interest just to increase their trust score that doesn't make sense at all. The ones who are enrolled in signature campaigns may get loans without collateral because they can pay back the loans as long as they earn weekly income from the signature campaigns. There are also those members who aren't actually part of any signature campaign but they have built up trust in this community and that's why the lenders also give them loans without any collateral.
1033  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin investment on: January 10, 2024, 01:12:00 PM
~Snip~
If Bitcoin isn't legal in a country or is banned in a country then one should never accept Bitcoin payments directly from others. I would advice you to suggest your friend to not accept Bitcoin or crypto-currency dealings if they're not allowed by government. Any time if authorities get information about his shop then they might take strict actions against him. If he has invested in Bitcoin then that's not an issue he should hold that investment and if he wants to invest more in Bitcoin he can do that as well, but he should never share details about his wallet or investment details with anyone.
1034  Other / Meta / Re: Mixer urls are not fully wordfiltered on: January 10, 2024, 01:05:05 PM
note: As far as I have noticed, some other mixer accounts still have a regular website link on the profile page, it was probably missed in word filtering.
I think if those accounts still have their regular website link then all of such accounts should be compiled and reported to theymos either as a PM message or maybe via this thread. It will be much easy for him to manually remove those links if word-filters aren't working the way they were supposed to work.
1035  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 10, 2024, 12:56:48 PM
which has been one of the set backs that made me never to leave any balance on my account regardless of how much was my previous winning be it big or small amount.
We always learn from our own mistakes and I'm very sure that not only you but many of us have learned great lessons from our own mistakes. It's always a better choice to learn faster and take actions after learning.

You have taken a really good and optimistic step after losing your balance many times due to the temptation and that's what most of us should do. That's a great lesson for those who don't withdraw their funds when they win a lot.

We should withdraw the money when we have won a lot and the amount has reached the minimum withdrawal limit. But most people will be tempted to use the winnings by gambling again to double the money.
Very true but I've also noticed that most of the gamblers look for bonuses like 100% bonus on deposit etc and those bonuses are actually a type of a marketing thing by a casino. If someone avails those bonuses then they'll have to complete the wagering requirements and even if they win a lot still most of the time they won't be able to complete the wagering requirements and end up loosing everything with belief that they will win the casino. It's not possible to win a casino's house edge unless you are extremely lucky. When someone hasn't chosen the bonus then they can easily withdraw the winnings when they reach the withdrawal limit.
1036  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🏆 www.l0tt0.com ⚡ bitcoin games like you've never seen! 🏆 on: January 09, 2024, 11:40:04 PM
It is a very good idea, but people could try to abuse this extra deposit bonus to send deposits when transaction fees are higher, and than withdraw using low fee lightning network  Grin
Yes, people mostly the greedy fellows might try to take advantage of the deposit bonus when they will get their deposit and get some extra for the fees they have paid. But, I guess $20 limit is a solid limit and the players won't be taking a lot from L0tt0 even if the fees get low later on or they might withdraw when lightning network gets implemented.

I hope that @dewez soon implement and fixes that lightning network on L0tt0 and surely the magic dice is the thing that most of the players have been waiting for. I believe that once magic dice is launched and the lightning network is fully functional then the players will surely enjoy spending some time on that new game and they won't worry about the high fees of the Bitcoin network.

I dont see room for abuse because they are only getting back what they actually spent on fees. if they sent a deposit- got credit for the fee- and did a cashout with LN, they would have the same amount they started with. where is the the space for abuse?

I think you didn't explained it well in that post or we weren't able to understand what you were trying to say. I thought that if a player deposits $50 and pays $8.2 for fees then he may get $58.2 not $50 in the account. It means that a player deposits $50 and somehow pays $8.2 for the fees then he will have $41.8 from the deposit and $8.2 from the L0tt0 = $50. Is that what you were trying to say, but when I read your post it was saying that the payer will have $58.2 not $50 in his l0tt0 account if he pays $8.2 for the fees. Kindly fix it if I interpreted wrongly.
1037  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 09, 2024, 11:28:17 PM
Many times,  I have seen that most gamblers use to make the mistake of leaving their winning in the casino,  even when the money accumulated is already huge enough to offset them into something better but choose to risk leaving it in the casino where there are possible tendency of gambling away the entire balance just with just one temptation.
You're right most of the times that happen and the gamblers really don't care much about leaving their winnings on that casino's wallet. I believe one should withdraw the winnings and invest those in an asset for sometime if the winnings are already high and when makes some profits from that asset then comes back to the casino and start a new gambling session again with some money. That way one will never have the temptation to gamble more or earn a lot of money by putting all the winnings at risk.
1038  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🔥🔥🔥 BC.GAME - CASINO AND SPORTSBOOK | $1,000 GIVEAWAY LIVE! 🔥🔥🔥 on: January 09, 2024, 11:21:50 PM
Who is crazy enough to play Plinko with $380 per ball!? On high-risk with 16 rows? Pure madness! Smiley.
Of course the one who won that bet. Wink I believe that some people are extremely lucky and for such people risk is just nothing at all. For normal players like us even $50 per ball is quite high with that much risk but the guy did it with $380 and won some great profits. Congratulations to the guy from my side.
1039  Other / Meta / Re: Username and account number change on: January 09, 2024, 10:38:43 PM
Is it possible to request username and account number to be changed?
I haven't seen any user ID change on the forum so far but for username change you can send a message to Theymos from the original account. You should also state the reason to Theymos that why you want to have your username changed and if he get convinced then he may change your username.

I'm pretty sure that Theymos also has the power to change a user ID but I'm not sure he'll do that for you or not as I haven't seen him doing that for anyone else. Or even he has done that for someone then I'm not aware of it. But, surely you can send a private message to him and ask for the username change. You won't be disappointed if the reason for changing of username is valid.
1040  Other / Meta / Re: [Userscript] Auto-Save your posts to drafts on: January 09, 2024, 10:33:37 PM

It's a very useful script that you have made TryNinja and it's one of the scripts that I would love to use myself. I'm currently not using any bots or scripts for the forum but this is something that I will most probably consider using. Thank you so much for making up this script for us. But, I don't really use tampermonkey thing and I'm a chrome user.

Can you please make a chrome based extension of the script that may work similarly for users who prefer to have extension rather than going with that tampermonkey? The script seems very good to me but I would love you to release a chrome-based extension of the script thanks.
