This is the PM I received from them and replied: 1) I do not escrow on Telegram 2) I would never ask you to ship a coin of that value. Would be a required in person meeting 3) Was the payment address PGP signed? Should have been... and can always verify here: https://keybase.io/minerjones4) Can you provide the tracking number for the package? Where was it shipped? 5) My Telegram account always has been and is @minerjones You should always verify the screen name versus the account name Weird, and now I get am PM from your stating my Telegram account disappeared? It's still there.. been chatting with people like MoparMining, Jan Emil, Kryptowerk today... they can all verify this Can verify MJ is NOT compromised. The photos of some coins of mine he sent today via telegram from @minerjones are proof of that. [...] Also, to be clear, I confirmed the username as well as the screenshot validity. I don't think that's possible - do you have screenshots to show for the telegram communication? Like people mentioned before: It's easy to mix up "display name" and the telegram handle (@xyzusername). In this case I think there is no way @minerjones was in any way involved in the communication you had via Telegram. In any case, sorry for your loss. Just happy to hear it does not seem to affect your life too much.

If you got any of these, graded, ungraded, not important. Shoot me offers via pm. I'm also down to trade against some oldschool German silver coins (old DM) or other crypto collectibles. Note: If you got not exactly these but similar coins, feel free to send an offer, too. Pics for reference:

These Geek BTC coins are unfunded, right? I tried checking the Maker thread but couldn't find anything on them. And regarding the lealana: Is there any info on how many funded vs unfunded exist?

Bitcoin is about to end this year's journey through several hostile markets. Many have invested in Bitcoin this year and many have sold Bitcoin. Anyway, who has a balance at the end of the year? My balance is in this range (0.01-0.1) and there are 5438179 total addresses in this range. What number position is your wallet in? Screenshot from: https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.htmlAnyone with slitghly higher balances than 0.01 should probably restrain themselves from publicly disclosing anything about it. What stands out to me, looking at these statistics is the fact that 85% of all value stored in Bitcoin is distributed among only 0.5% of addresses / owners. That's an extreme imbalance of wealth. Nothing new or suprising but I think it's worth pointing out.

Congrats BTCOVERFIATS, this thing looks massive and really cool. Maybe have a look at the sale from OP and consider getting the fitting HODL hammer as well for your steel-collection.

Agreed on the general sentiment of OP: If you have knowledge about Bitcoin, you should try and teach your kids about it. Just make sure it's about the actual technology and implications for society and the monetary world - and not from a speculative standpoint.
My personal take is, if you really understand some of the more important fundaments of the decentralized nature of Bitcoin and all that comes with it, you have the responsibility to share your knowledge. That does ofc not mean pushing anyone or boring people that don't care with any kind of facts. Look for those rare individuals instead that are open-minded and knowledge hungry and interested in true innovation and new possibilities. Then just have a nice conversation a la Socrates. Just my 50 sats.

For the OGs and some more experienced Bitcointalk users this is nothing new. However, for all the hundret-thousands of newer accounts it may be suprising to know that you can still read all posts made by the real Satoshi him/herself. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3Profile ID #3 it is. #1 was used for admin stuff only, #2 does not exist For me it was still a nice revelation to fully understand that this forum was created by the Legend. The person that changed modern history more than 14 years ago by publishing the Bitcoin whitepaper (for reference see: https://bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-paper). A strange thought to be in a slightly abstract way so close to the source of it all. Even more amazing is the fact everyone can read his/her first thoughts and comments on the early implementations of Bitcoin right here. In a sense every forum member (currently over 3.5 million!) is part of crypto / Bitcoin history. Congrats. Two questions: 1. Were you aware of this simple fact? - If yes, have you ever read a Satoshi post before? 2. Did you ever take a look at the Bitcoin whitepaper? - If not, will you do so now?

And then you read something like this: https://dirtybubblemedia.substack.com/p/is-binanceus-a-fake-exchangeSo, more and more Binance looks like it's doing something funky. And that is, at least part of the issue too. They might not be shady, but they keep doing things that make them look like they are. People might not like a lot of things that Coinbase and other super regulated want all your KYC info and report to the government exchanges do. But, at least their books are fully open. Still, not your keys not your coins no matter what. -Dave Not exactly what I was hoping to read, but very well researched and well explained article. It could just mean that BinanceUS is not run the way it should be regarding US regulation (mixing of funds with other Binance platforms) - or, worst case, it would indicate that some liquidity is indeed missing and the sum of all balance sheets is not en par with the total funds that are stored on the Binance platforms. I wonder if this will be addressed by the so-called Binance-transparency-campaign because the evidence for that shady USDT tranfer is clear as day. And also makes me wonder why there is not a bigger discussion about it on most crypto-news sites.
