Hey Guys, I was able to replicate this problem on a friends Windows 7 install, it seems to be some MSVCRT dll's that are missing. So I spent this morning building a full static client. Which the original fast-coin is using a different version. went to download link and after download is a warning from dropbox as not many downloaded, but worth mentioning, maybe offputting for new people using dropbox
also for some reason I can't get this windows client running
is very smooth for every other coin client I download
what am i doing wrong?downloaded, unzipped, double cklicked qt client which normally gets up and running
said a .dll file missing, but is there??

I like the idea of the coin staying gold tbh
I think to avoid the copper idea, as why make it the poor kid before it even gets up and running
even when all the coins are mined there wouldn't even be enough of them for every american to get 1 coin!
I think the number of coins is a solid number, too small and you you have this problem of 0.000001 etc, only so much consumer will take
make it it's own standalone coin from outset, is already one of oldest alts lol
bottomline bitcoin logo was never 'designed', just happened from net community, like twitter logos
if people into fatcoin then logos will just appear on peoples sites and they will make so keep an eye out. but please lose the cheetah really soon!
just my opinion about the copper thing is not good, would have need to been stated from day one and would hold it back,
feathercoin had a more classy attitude i think by saying they didnt compete with bitcoin and litecoin but there to compliment and see what happens
a lot can be learned from feathercoin rollout, good and bad
I would also add the wallet on google docs is crazy, is the only zip haven't been able to configure, and have about 6 coin icons on my lappy
needs a decent configured zip that just instantly starts once doubleclicked after download like all other coins, AND needs to be downloaded off github
to give more credibility
also forum on fastcoin.ca is good idea but i couldn't join up as dont have any of those social networking accounts.
please make so you can join up with username and email like everywhere else?

some good ideas above sorry I posted in old thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=243084.0as you can see I am not talented in design like ohiwastedmylif but I like this style of 'f' i know my coin looks crappy, just may spark some thoughts in one of the many talented designers on this forum  also just to add my input, the logo above by ohiwastedmylif looks fab what he did in 5 minutes i am not so sure about that colour orange though, as to similar to bitcoin how about a more gold colour and the 'f' in red? or even a red coin with white f red for speed |

hi, I'm no designer (you may have guessed lol) but think you need to lose the cheetah association, beautiful animal but makes coin and site look a bit crazy imho anyway, this is a good alt I think and someone with good design skills will do a great job I think here's my tiny contribution. I like this style of F and something along this lines would be good I think red for fast and speed, maybe getting hotter and like this sort of shape to the F like flying payments across the net also this style of F looks like a currecny symbol |

and how to unlock???
it really needs an easy unlock feature, obviously placed like now tbh

risky and confusing
needs a patch for this imo

Yes I already noted that the current procedure to enable minting for gui+encryption is not user friendly. It will be made easier for qt. ok, than ks for getting back just to confirm, you can RECEIVE coins when wallet is locked? just no interest received also how the hell does one find how to unlock the wallet, I really can see no way to unlock to send coins you enter pasword, then it auto RELOCKS how do you unlock and leave unlocked/?? |

Thought it would be fun to create a slogan for Feathercoin. why not have the actual download on github?
i downloaded the master feathercoin zip and extracted fine, so know not my tinternet or sytems or programs

Very odd about the download. I have updated the links to use SSL. I have tested the link just now and everything appears to be fine. Could you please run CCleaner and then AdwCleaner on your computer and then try again? CCleaner will remove temporary files like web browser caches from your system and AdwCleaner will remove third party installed without your permission in your browsers, basically it removes malware. Let me know how you get on. ok thanks good idea to make ssl and more secure I will try again when restart later I have a hardcore cleaner installed anyway will post back when I succeed thanks for your time |

I tried to download your windows client from thread and direct from feathercoin,com
all times said file wasd corrupted etc and couldnt opne
also took forever to downloaded
do you have a link to github download especially as your main site isnt on a secure server
not sure if anyone else had trouble with this?
