10201  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Difficulty +11% in less than 24 hours. on: July 10, 2017, 10:32:22 PM
Nice +15% difficulty gain and -15% price decline.

Those that bought Nvidia 1080Ti must be really feeling it...

Most likely the diff will remain at this rate for the next week while the block times stablize at ~18-19 secs. Usually diff spikes up and then stabilizes for the next week or so looking at

https://etherscan.io/chart/blocktime

those who bought AMD will have bigger issue on that, with 1080TI it's just wasting power to mine ETH, there are better coins for NVIDIA cards Wink

Except most who bought AMD already got ROI. So they probably don't care about the declining DAG speeds.  While the ones who bought the 1080Ti at $800 USD will start crying when that GPU is only pulling in $1/day. 800 day ROI.

He made good money in Nov-Dec 2013. Got greedy and kept buying more and more GPUs when bubble burst and became broke 6 months later and in debt.

Wow Primedice rocks! This thread is a living history and it will continue to be a witness of Primedice's success! I'm already 2 months old in Primedice and I'm really loving it!

Thanks jzale, that means a lot Smiley . As mentioned be sure to checkout https://forum.primedice.com

By the way, I dont know if this was asked before but its a legit question.

With the huge altcoin sell off which is bringing BTC down. Why don't you guys offer USDT Tether as one of your altcoins? In times of crisis and bubbles bursting it seems like a safe haven compared to BTC.

Are there any regulations since its linked to the fiat US dollar?
10204  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▂▃▅▆█ BITSLER █▆▅▃▂🎁 12 BILLION BET PROMOTION🎁Most Popular Dice & Roulette🎁 on: July 10, 2017, 10:26:10 PM

What will happen if the 12billionth bet isn't a bitcoin roll?
Will the prize be in btc still?

If you hit 12 billion bets with altcoins that means you will get the minimum prize, it is 0.01 BTC! And for the lucky rolls, you have to play with bitcoin ( min 0.00001 BTC ), otherwise your entry won't be count.

How if the bet with altcoin has higher value than 0.00001btc? Example, the 12 billionth bet is 5000 doge (equal to 45k satoshi) ? Does this bet also only deserve for the minimum prize?

Based on the rules, there's no conversion being stated. So, I guess, no matter how much your bet in altcoins was, you will get the minimum prize. But, as we all know, Baryom is a very flexible person, maybe he will make another policy if such cases happened.

My theory is for example you have bet 40 doges, and hit that lucky 12,000,000,000th roll, your prize will be *2500 and 100,000 doges will be your prize. Or its btc value equivalent.

But maximum is 1btc and minimum 0.01 guaranteed prize.

Why people want to play with altcoin instead of btc? If I remembered it well last time people hit it with altcoin and they get 0.01 btc instead of getting any other altcoin. It is really suggested for everyone that want to do it convert it to btc. First we will get btc instead of altcoin which is the recent price is raising. And the second thing, we will help Baryom just not to make this thing complicated around Cheesy

I think within the next couple of weeks or months many people will stop gambling with altcoins due to the huge volatility. Especially what is happening in the last week in the alt-coins market.

Yes I know BTC also declined but not as badly as sold altcoins which are declining 15-20% daily, everyday.

I think that sites really should start to accept Tether USD for gambling. However I don't know if there are any regulations since its linked to the US fiat dollar.
10205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling percentage of the crypto-economy? on: July 10, 2017, 10:23:21 PM
I think back in the new days of Bitcoin 2012-2013 or so since the value was much less more and more people gambled with the Bitcoins. Because back then there wasn't much you would do with them.

Now there are many services and other altcoins so the total percentage is probably much much less however if you look at the amount of rolls and users registered on sites like Primedice, it shows you what huge amounts of BTC is gambled daily.

I would say its like 5% of total.
10206  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pocket Dice – The first realistic dice game on: July 10, 2017, 10:21:33 PM
have to agree that the lack of communication is no good thing. If he just explained the situation then people would have been much more understanding.

Exactly! All we want right now is an explanation of why the site is down. Communication is key.

Well the only acceptable explaination right now would be that the owner died and couldn't tell us about the downtime.

Normally when you go on vacation you let people know or you bring your computer with you to make any server reboots changes.

Or when you do maintaince you normally let people know ahead of time or get it done ASAP sometime during the night so it doesn't affect your profits.

Either way its not looking good. Maybe exit scam?
10207  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 22 days remain until August 1st - these altcoins will keep dumping until then on: July 10, 2017, 10:11:43 PM
Why would altcoins get dumped when the Segwit is related to Bitcoin?

I think the sell-off is more having to do with the ICOs like EOS cashing out.
10208  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why I never mined on: July 10, 2017, 10:02:18 PM
There is probably about 20-30 million GPUs which are sold annually to gamers by Nvidia+AMD.

So most likely there will be a period where the people who maxed out their credit cards at 20% APR interest will need to dump at the lowest price they can get on eBay but eventually it will level out within time. Like it did for the Litecoin bust. I think 6 months after the crash, GPU pricing returned back to normal.

If you are bored here is a good history lesson.

https://archive.litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=11743

That guy basically started out mining in Nov-Dec 2013 when the mining was VERY PROFITABLE. He kept buying and buying and buying GPUs while others told him to wait. He eventually borrowed money from relatives to buy overpriced GPUs when the mining had turned. Then a few months later he ended up selling those $400 R9 280X for like $100 on eBay because he had to repay his debts.

So instead of him living with a healthy profit, he ended up with a huge loss due to greed.
10209  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to mine tether? on: July 10, 2017, 09:56:43 PM
Mine ETH and sell for USDT and you got yourself some Tether

10211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH - Unofficial Trading Thread (ETH/USD ETH/BTC) on: July 10, 2017, 09:25:45 PM
Alright exciting times. My sell order filled at the $253 area a couple days ago and well into profit and covered a little since on the long term we are sitting or close to possible support which might or might not hold.

Looking at the 6H ETH/BTC chart. We Break important support at 0.093 ETH/BTC, which will probably be resistance. We might have possible support in the red shaded region ~0.085 ETH/BTC. Will watch that area for confirmation before I cover my short. If you look on the daily. The ~0.085 ETH/BTC area looks like the demand area for a bull flag that formed from 0.085-0.153 ETH/BTC. Looks like a good area to go long with confirmation.

Now looking at the ETH/USD chart. We are basically sitting on support @ 210. My guess is <$200 lots of stops under that. We will most likely at least test that area. That and there is huge trendline resistance. Overall for the long term Daily/Weekly, we are in a huge bull flag formation which can retest the May 2017 areas at ~ $100 ETH/USD

So wait until $210 breaks and then short or wait for a bounce from $210 and short at the trendline or ~230. I am pretty sure we will get some bull confirmation before we are suppose to go long, but for now just stay bearish.

10212  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why I never mined on: July 10, 2017, 08:14:34 PM
When GPUs are going to be selling for $50 on eBay, nobody will be buying them including yourself because the profitability will suck.

The only people that will benefit from cheap GPUs are going to be gamers.

Choose

Pay $250 for a GPU that makes $10/day

Pay $50 for a GPU that makes $0.10/day
10213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's Ethereum Mining NoDevFee v7.1 on: July 09, 2017, 09:40:10 PM

I wouldn't risk using his software either since its closed source. There are smart worm viruses out there and even if you use the software on your mining rigs which have no wallets or private keys or passwords. Since they are on your home network, it can crawl its way into your personal computer and start stealing info, keylogging, etc.

10214  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What worth mining with 470/480 ? What are you mining? [Let's discuss] on: July 09, 2017, 09:36:30 PM
What you are mining is the most profitable, there is nothing else out there.

Enjoy your profits while they last. Next month we might get another halving of our daily profitability.
10215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A question of ethics for you... on: July 09, 2017, 07:46:47 PM
People tried this before with Bitcoin ASICs and they got a fine after 2-3 months when the office manager got their power bill.

If you read the contract, it says you can't abuse your electricity privilages even though its free.

"Game will back online shortly"

It's been 48 mthfcking hours , how short would it be ?

This site in the last few months is really starting to go down-hill. Basically alot of downtime and alot of unplanned maintaince and alot of extended maintainance. That and also players having withdraw issues doesn't bode well.

It can either be innocence and they are just getting flooded with new gamblers due to ETH and BTC growth. Or it could be laziness and they don't want to fix these issues or take their time fixing these issues, or it could be a scam; which I am pretty sure it isn't.

do we realy win ?

i lost 0.2 in it

what is the best strategy to win and how do we understand dice system

cant find any tutorial

You lost 0.2 without you knowing what you are playing?
I find that hard to believe but,
Read the very First post in this thread and you'll find everything that you need.

On top of that, you can go to youtube and search bitsler.

WARNING!

In youtube videos, there are several clips promoting bots of 'sure' profit, avoid them. Trust only Seuntjie's Dicebot.

i had auto betting and at high value to win n loose so it finished within minutes

Well dice is VERY easy to figure out how to play. And the autobot is even easier to learn how to program.

Problem is that casinos rely on gamblers like you, who think there is some "secret" strategy and how will you turn your 0.2 BTC into 0.4 BTC very easily.

However there is something called house edge and the more you roll the harder and harder it makes it to win your BTC.
10218  Economy / Gambling / Re: BITDICE - 🎲🎲🎲 7 NEW GAMES HAVE BEEN ADDED 🎰🎰🎰 on: July 09, 2017, 09:12:36 AM
This site is pretty awesome Wink I love playing in bitdice.me because it has a probably fair game.

You know what's more fun?  Investing in Bitdice's bankroll.  It takes a little bit of skill because you have to figure out how high of a margin (called kelly in the site) is optimal depending how the site is doing.

Does anybody want to share their strategy on how to adjust the margin at Bitdice?
I think that depends on the amount of your investment, if you have a bigger amount it's good to be conservative since you are guaranteed with the return but if you have the opposite you need to be more aggressive. As long as the site is making money you will be having your share as well.
I think "kelly" is a common term for dice sites and every investors must fully understand it before putting their money.

Basically its no different than using leveraged margin in stock trading or on Bitmex. You don't have to use leverage at all but if you use leverage its a double edged sword.

If the site is doing well you are going to multiple your earnings with the amount of BTC you deposited, however if it has a bad period you can get quickly cleaned out .

Leverage is not bad if you generally don't trust the site and want to wager more but keep less BTC on the site. If it goes against you, you can always refill your bankroll.
10219  Economy / Gambling / Re: DiceMax.com || Jackpot || 0.99% House Edge || Instant Withdrawal on: July 09, 2017, 09:04:48 AM
Wagering contest announced in the respective section of the forum.

Please check the topic for details.

Judging by the very small prices

4) Prize: 1st: 0.01 BTC || 2nd: 0.005 BTC || 3rd: 0.0025 BTC

I am wondering if you will be able to post proof or solvency and capital to signing a message from your cold storage wallet.

I understand that the site is new and you want to get as many wages as possible to build capital but some of your gamblers would like proof that this site will still exist in 6 or 12 months down the road.
10220  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟2017's Best Bitcoin Gambling Site Award!🌟 on: July 09, 2017, 09:01:30 AM
I think you should make another awards which is designed for the different type of gambling sites.

For example for Dice it can be PrimeDice
For a general Casino with various games it can be Fortunejack
For a Sports betting website it can be DirectBet
For binary options it can be SecondsTrade

I think that would be alot more effective.

think the owner is AWOL for quite a long time Sad
this topic could and should have been handled better
but, obviously, nobody wants to take time and organise things more effectively
so for now we are stuck with this one, where some of the sites are not even listed and some are
either gone rogue or down

Well last time he replied it was in January 2017 and yet this topic is still getting replies.

If you take the time to actually read the replies its the same post usually from every person. Typically just spamming or promoting their own sig. This topic really leaves no interest actually.

Some moderator should take over and either continue this thread or just lock it to prevent further useless spam.
