We hope for the price recovery, but the history has shown us that's wiser to not expect anything.
And as said, that hashrate story is just a clickbait, most probably nothing has happened.

The Libra currency basket will consist of 50% of US dollars, 18% of euros, 14% of Japanese yen, 11% of British pounds and 7% of Singapore dollars.
What do you think about such proportions?
Since the Dollar is still 50%, I think that the other currencies are there only for political/advertising reasons. And I agree: all this has a chance to matter only if Libra will actually ever exist.

If you only want to withdraw into USD PayPal or such, I see 2 possible options: 1. Bitcoin card. Wirex, AdvCash and possibly others will allow you exchange BTC into USD and at least link their card to PayPal. I didn't use those cards with PayPal, but iirc others did; you will have to research more. (the exchange rate and fees may be big too) 2. There is at least this exchange that advertise itself on bitcointalk: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1634698.0I didn't use it, so again, I advise you research a little...

And I can expect that the cables for data transfer between PC and Android will try to infect only the PC?
I go by the initial assumption that one has such a cable at home. If he uses it as data cable he will enable data transfer. Will Android run that if I don't install it? I hope not.

antivirus normally don't question or block user's input from HID (keyboard, mouse, etc.). But Antivirus might block the downloaded malware or malicious script from the USB cable.
That's what I would also expect on Windows. And, interestingly, there are still many people around here that question the use of antivirus software... However, more important, since I am completely newbie on that field: are Android devices safe from such attacks? (With or without AV)

There's such a service in the Romanian subforum. But that one, at least in the explications on how it works, sounds good: they use ref links, get referral cash for what the user buys and from that the user gets some satoshi as cashback. That's the normal recipe for cashback.
Instead, the mining-related sketchy explanations OP has shown, sound extremely suspicious. Mining is not cashback. Mining on Android (if that's what happens for OP) would drain the battery, would slow down the device and will earn (lees than) peanuts. And it's not related to shopping, like cashback would be.

This story makes me paranoid and makes me want my files to be secure. Good. Paranoid is good. Yoy shouldn't be plugging any unknown USB cables, drives, or devices in to your device. OK, but antiviruses and such don't "see" this threat? I mean, those cables can be easily in your house without knowing it.

And man, if I had any spare money to invest I'd be buying bitcoin right now. I don't think it's going to stay under $10k for long.
The common sense tells that Bitcoin should fly. Instead, it sinks. I was told that Bakkt has quite a large stash, so relying on it is not helpful yet. So I wonder what's the speculators' next move in this. I really hope their (fake?) dump is for short time.

The reasons are probably many, but OP's is not among them.
I think that OP is not against Bitcoin and the only reason for this"hate" is to spread a little FUD. It's, after all, the best possible time for it. I think that in less than a week the price will grow again, proving him wrong.

Your account doesn't seem to be hacked. You only received a private message. Anyone from this forum can send that (and I think that you can choose to receive or not messages from newbies).
If you don't know the sender, the best is to just ignore/delete it.

Many of the big investors are always over-cautious, it's not a shock that Bakkt volume was this small (imho it was not small, it was okay).
Even the first month may not be "fantastic". This kind of things grow slow, but steady. We really have to learn about patience.

Bakkt has quite a stash of Bitcoin gathered in the last months. So Bakkt can only "sell the news" indeed.
CME sounds as a good reason. Also maybe some speculators try to get some extra money off our expectations.

Indeed, most altcoins got delisted from everywhere before "getting the chance" to drop to 0.
One coin I've known from birth to end was HeavyCoin, HVC. Coinmarketcap still shows it as $0.000099 (but only if you Google it!), it's pretty close to 0.

There are 100s of Chinese shops at AliExpress selling USB charging cables, many under 1$ a piece, shipping included.
Can anybody say they are legit? No. Do they sell 1000s of cables? Yes. Is there a chance known electronic shops resell such cables? Yes.
Sorry my friend, but imho there's no certainty the cable is good, no matter where you buy it from an at what price. Of course, unless you buy it together with a branded device.

The Satoshi addresses are just as vulnerable as reused addresses. The early versions of the Bitcoin software mined blocks to pay-to-pubkey outputs, so their public keys are already exposed.
Interesting, I didn't know that. You just gave me something good to research for. Even if it still theoretical, it should be considered and not keep ignoring the issue as if it doesn't exist. It does.
Bitcoin already has some sort of quantum resistance. You can read more in the wiki: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Quantum_computing_and_BitcoinSo the issue is far from ignored.

Thank you for the correction, indeed, it's the most secure network.
About the decentralisation, while I don't deny the big help of the full nodes, I expect the miners be smart enough and don't weaken the network (i.e. use multiple pools to keep the decentralisation), since any other move would be bad business. (again, it's better that we also have the full nodes).

10k BTC.
A lot.
28 are taken by the time. C'mon, this ain't nothing... 33 BTC reported now. Compared to the 10k and some traders' expectations this is less than nothing (figure of speech) Edit: 34 indeed. Do the orders start moving or is it just wishful thinking?

Hey brothers! So now we're waiting till BAKKT runs out of BTC they have in their initial stash? Mmmmkey... How big is the estimation of their initial stash? 'Cause it may take a while... And btw, observing from inside the salt mine of Praid, RO.
