10241  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 18, 2017, 02:20:54 PM

The game was close. It can went either way. Wes Matthew's 3's was the big difference. Butler play good tonight however, they did a good job of pressuring on Chicago, making them make tough shots,

Jimmy Butler had 24 points and I still think he is a genuine NBA superstar. This is just one game.

Removed some quoted post.

Im not pointing to the characteristics of Butler being a superstar. We all know he is really the main man of the Bulls today. Just pointed out back in my previous post that even Butler is present in the floor, it will not going to be an easy win for them even the opponent is Dallas Mavericks like the one poster above said ( I bolded them at the quote Smiley ).

Both teams are unpredictable and doing great in their last 2 games before meeting up a while ago. I just saw that it will be a close game and chanced for Dalls to steal thesince Dallas are back in shape in that couple of game they played so I put some risk on betting to them plus the fact that the odds given for ML is really worth to try.
10242  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Taxation on the alts on: January 18, 2017, 01:59:45 PM
Hey

How do you calculate taxes on alt-coins bought and sold with Bitcoin? For example if i bought 10 bitcoins worth of Monero, and monero rose 10% and i decides to sell for that extra bitcoin, how does that become taxed? Furthermore if/when i decide to sell the 11 bitcoin i now have for fiat, how might that be taxed? Thank you in advance.

Bitcoin can't be taxed same with the alts. It's not literally taxable at your side but you are facing the fees of the said exchange that you performed your transactions. Yes a modified fees on their own and can considered as taxable in another form. It varies per exchange.

For much clearer view, you can head to the specific exchange and study their fees.

Good thing, marami talagang nakapalibot na Security Bank ATM around my area. Ngayon kasi more on sa bank account ko na pinapadaan ang mga withdrawals ko.
10244  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Is coinbase really a bad website to make a wallet on? on: January 18, 2017, 01:34:29 PM
Well, is it? From what I heard they have a credit card issue or something, I can't really remember what. And they're known for stealing bitcoins. If so, what other online wallet should I head into?

In the first place, use only web wallets e.g Coinbase for such a service that isn't present in your current wallet provider. Any Web Wallets "are not" designed to be your primary storage for your precious bitcoins. Those issues that Coinbase is handling right now isn't just an instant issue that they created.  They are a registered exchange and facing legal terms so if ever there will be a fraud, they will face the teeth of the law.

Like I said, about your last question, never use online wallet for storage purposes. Just use their services like buying, selling, using it to a merchant etc. as it was more convenient and less hassle way.
10245  Other / Off-topic / Re: I just got a stupid phishing attemp email! on: January 18, 2017, 05:57:43 AM
Thanks for the warning but I guess only careless people can be hook on that kind of trap. Its really obvious of phishing attempt. It should be reported and someone should send nukes on that site until it down Cheesy

I somehow agree as it was an obvious fraud attempt. Even a newbie one can think of it as an phishing attempt even it was the first time they encountered that  kind of email.

One should look at the content. Some of them are:

-Email used
-Message layout (simple email message style aren't the usual way of some big companies e.g Paypal)
-Using short url
-Email message that is quite far beyond the reality

There are really lots of fraud attempts on the web since then so people are being used to it.
10246  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Fuck Coinbase on: January 18, 2017, 05:01:44 AM
I agree fuckem ....they banned my account just because I transferred funds from bitsler.com. Its my bitcoin I can do what I like with it.

Who the fuck are they to tell me how to spend my money.

Lol you must have read first their TOS, obviously bitsler is a gambling site so blocking your account would be so easy because you broke their TOS. Although I have read at least 3 complains about the coinbase f*cking its users so still should choose not to use it anyways.

It still doesn't make any sense. Bitcoin is a decentralized currency and even If Coinbase isn't an ideal bitcoin wallet, Shutting down user's account with funds inside is insane.

So you are expecting a decentralized treat to your bitcoins once it was stored Coinbase? Makes sense mate. That's a third party and all decentralized thing of bitcoin is not included once you stored it on an exchange wallet especially a web one.

And in the first place, why the hell a person will stored large amount on this exchange? Those people are in the possession of lots of money and they are not thinking some of risk associated when using a service of an exchange company. They are really taking care of their money lol.
10247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 18, 2017, 04:32:00 AM
Dallas has never won three games this season. Dallas has won the last three games between the two teams.

Half of the games Deron Williams and Dirk Nowitzki was injured, Dallas started very bad this season but things changed. Nowitzki is back stronger and they started to win games. Dallas is 13-27 now. Tonight's game Chicago is favorite but don't underestimate Dallas. In Dallas Bogut is officially out for the game. Chicago Bulls -5.5 @ 1.84 looks good but Nowitzki's performance would be decisive.

Both teams are coming with a two game winning streak after three consecutive loss. Almost the same in terms of their overall stats in those two games they able to win. In their first meeting this season last December, Mavericks defeated the Bulls with 25 points lead margin @ 107-82. Dirk Nowitzki is out of the game that time while Dwayne Wade on the other hand was not present in the Bulls lineup.

In MAVS' lasts 2 games, the veteran Dirk Nowitzki really puts up some pump in his performance so this is a big advantage for the team as he will played in tonight's game. Wade is out for the Bulls.

I will go for Dallas Mavericks @ 2.96.

I'll pick Chicago. Homecourt advantage plus Butler is back healthy and their lineup is deep as compared to Mavericks. Dallas is pretty banged (Dirk not playing?) up I guess so Chicago will take advantage of it.

I'll pick Chicago as well. Bulls have been good at home whereas Mavs seems to be struggling a little. Dirk Nowitzki isn't injured and will be playing.  Only concerning in the match up is to the bulls with Nikola Mitroic out due to illness. Shouldnt really change the outcome of the game. With Butler back in the lineup is should be easy win for Bulls.

What do you think of Jimmy Butler, a high rated superstar than will make things go easier against the MAVS? You just said that it will be an EASY game for the Bulls.

Anyways looks like you all have been busted. Fortunately my bet win and even if not, that is going to be not an easy game for the Bulls.

Dallas Mavericks - 99 Chicago Bulls - 98

I can't make a parlay because of my previous single bet. Isn't that odd? They are not in the same coupon but it still gives error.
Error: You have already placed a bet on 'San Antonio Spurs - Los Angeles Lakers'
I'm new to this site and I can't figure it out. Why can't I make different parlays and singles? Do we have only 1 parlay/single right for every single game?

I didn't get the point but I will assume you are making a parlay for a single game match?

As far as my knowledge in 1xbit betting is concern, by making parlays for example in NBA matches, only 1 betting option are allowed per game. So if you placed a bet on e.g Spurs - Lakers you have only 1 option for this as part of your parlays then head up for another match to complete the parlay.

If Im wrong with my understanding to your concern then please bear with me.

10250  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Clash of clans acc nearly Max TH9 on: January 17, 2017, 03:30:23 PM
I don't want to spoil your own pricing but $130 for nearly Max TH9 is not appropriate.

COC price are vary from what it is today where price back then are really expensive.  Didn't you know that for $130 one can find a Max TH10 or nearly mid th 11 with Heroes Level 40 (which is the basis of today's pricing).

But well that is your own price and goodluck for finding a buyer.
I thought that it was a decent price until someone offered me a similar account but for a much lower price of 0.06. I guess after clash royale came out, no one really plays clash of clans anymore. Even 0.12 is a really steep price for this kind of account.

It's not that only few is playing Clash of Clans right now but COC accounts price will not remain as what they are as time passes by. It really happens even in some online games. Lots of changes has been added to the game to make things "quite" easier. Yes still time consuming but Supercell already added some things to make things less hassle like reducing the building cost, training time, etc.

BTC0.12 is not a fair price too based on the average retails price in our facebook local groups (may vary from other local groups per country). The price range was between BTC0.05-BTC0.06 if will based on the current btc to usd exchange. That what I could I fair one.

I suggest to OP to make the heroes both to level 30 and maxed out walls maybe it can be sold for BTC0.07 - BTC0.09. You can achieved that if you will put some time to farm the account as walls for level 10 are decreased by 1 million. That was really a big help.

Just a reference for those who wants to buy the account.
10251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 100 ether vs 1 btc on: January 17, 2017, 03:19:19 PM
Hi bitcointalk,

I have about 100 eth on my ledger wallet, should I convert them to bitcoins or stay in ethereum? Should I go 50/50? Or go all in on one of them?

What are the pros and cons in this violent market?

Please share your two cents

Stay those ETH as they are and let it idle for long term holding purposes.

What you must do is to get another bunch of your extras ammos right from your pocket to buy bitcoin at the current rate or if by means that you have no chance of buying it directly with the thing I mentioned then earned it by doing any kinds of method. If you really believes that bitcoin will make again another big price increase then do it now before regretting later.

Holding them both are good. Pros and cons? Price volatility and that's it.

This is only based on my own view if Im the person involved in your case and not suggesting you to follow it. Follow your heart this is your investment after all. Goodluck.

Can someone create an account in coinbase.com and give it to me, i am trying to create it , but when i try to register i cant, i am assuming it is because am from cuba. So this is a favour. Can someone create me an account, i have no money to pay, i need the account to collect $10 from this site http://www.freebiebitcoin.com/. I do not know if it works, but i have try it.

Can someone help me?? Huh

Let's get to the conclusion now, the site you mentioned is not trustworthy. If does then you may have seen now some positive feedbacks about it since then but unfortunately none even in other crpyto forum.

Secondly, you can create a Coinbase account in Cuba but buying and selling bitcoin in that country is not supported yet as far as my knowledge concern and Im pretty sure of it.

Hope this will give you some enlightment.
10253  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin bank account? on: January 16, 2017, 01:11:00 PM
Are there banks accepting bitcoins? We can open Dollar and Euro accounts in the banks. Can we open it on Bitcoin's account? Are there banks supporting this?

For what purpose why you want to open a Bitcoin Account in bank?

If for buying and selling bitcoins purposes only then use bitcoin exchange instead that has a feature of linking bank account e.g Coinsbank, Coinbase etc.

Will wait for your reply for other purposes and we will continue the discussion so that I can have a specific answer.

LeBron James doesn't view Warriors as Cavs' rival.

Before some misleading comments about that, please read the article first lol.

Actually Im agree, those two teams are part of the best teams in the league right now but as rival, it should be yearly meetups in the finals. So right now I don't considered them as rivals.

This is gonna be an interesting match again. Hope both teams are healthy in their upcoming match so that no reasons will be brought by the fans on why their respective teams lose lol.
10256  Economy / Economics / Re: Smart Passive Income on: January 16, 2017, 11:24:54 AM
I have an idea for a website that will attract many visitors.
I will need to put a lot of effort to build it,
but then it will run (almost) by itself.

What will be the best way to convert it to some passive income?
Advertising? Affiliates? VIP registration?
How much should I expect to earn from it?

Mainly at start, more on Advertisement will be the primarily source of passive income that will generate by the site of yours. But I want to point out that "Affiliates" and "VIP Registration" , what is the site you will build why it has an option like that?

You know, the earnings you will got if ever the site will become succesful is really much decent compare to Advertisement itself. So if you will put it together, it's really a $$$ passive income but of course you must closely look at it and maintain it's traffic.

Don't expect on how much you will earn, just focus on profits and think about that later after getting the evaluation.

Anyone knows when will NBA All-Star Voting will end? Still hoping that we here, basketball enthusiast in the Philippines can succesfully bring Jordan Clarkson to be part of the All-Star game. Yeah it's really a late push but at least we are trying to make it for real as we really want JC to be part of it.

Only Lebron James gets a vote of over 1 million votes. I remember Giannis Antetokounmpo recently told everyone that if only people able to spelled his name correctly he could have been a million votes now lol.

Voting will conclude on January 16 but I saw some recent news of a local sports news provider Spin ( I will assume you know this since it's based in PH) that it will ends on January 20, Manila time. So for an accurate one I must say that it will be on January 16 as stated officially in NBA site.

Right now Jordan Clarkson's vote is still on the bottom. On the other hand, Zaza Pachulia really receives a lot of love from his country that's why they able to put this guy on the upcoming All-Star game.

For more detailed information on the current voting result, tuned in here.
10258  Economy / Speculation / Re: 780 broken.. 500 .. maybe even 220-240 again... ? on: January 12, 2017, 06:58:41 PM
Yeah it it gets in the $200 range Im pulling all my money out of the Bank to buy Bitcoin.
I doubt it would go that low and if it did you could easily double your money within a year or two.
This is just some panic FUD selloff going on. Buy the dip, HODL and profit.

People said this exact same thing during the 2013 crash.  $200 seemed impossible and everyone was dreaming of buying so low.  The thing is, if/when it actually happens, the market will be on an 80% loss.  Suddenly going all-in on cheap bitcoins doesn't seem as appealing.

Legit, it took me awhile to make a buy at $200.

Ok then just wait again for your target price of sub $200 to happen before going for another purchase of buying. It's legit right? It's your decision after all. Chart analysis won't help if the price will go back to that level.

Remember that "Past Performance Can't Guarantee Future Results".

So sick to see some speculation/s with price history as the main source of basis.
10259  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 12, 2017, 06:10:20 PM
Knicks vs Bulls could be interesting with Wade and Butler out and the game being played at Knicks home. They should be able to seal it. 1.64x for it sounds like a good deal. For Bulls Butler is the star and whenever they are in a tough situation he gets to dictate the play and without him, it will be hard for the Bulls playing away from home. On top of that, Wade is likely out too. Can't get any better for the Knicks.
this is very tempting but seeing the outcome of almost favored team in a couple of days i think its still difficult but for sure since its a gamble i'll be betting with you mate knicks will win this in front of their fans just needed melo to showcase the game, let wait and see.

I see NYK has more chance to seal this tonights game against the Chicago Bulls. Yes both team are struggling and too far from expectations of the others.

Here's what I see as pointers to consider:

Chicago Bulls
-Only Guards are performing well in the last 5 games
-Jimmy Butler and Nikola Mirotic are out of the game. Their contributions is a big help.

New York Knicks
-More boost coming from the bench as it was really malnourished lol
-More from Kristaps Porzingis

From the pointers I stated, it's quite not that hard to cover the factors for Knicks to win the game so I will consider to include that in my parlay list.
10260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The reason why people do not get Bitcoin. on: January 12, 2017, 05:13:04 PM
No need for such more advertising, promoting, raising awareness etc. because the one who will dictate if a person will involved in bitcoin is themselves. No matter how simply, constructive or properly we discussed bitcoin to them if they are not interested then that's it.

Like in my case, no one introduced bitcoin to me but Im really interested to know what is this so I seek information on the web and now gained some decent knowledge about this cryptocurrency. Same with some of my friends where I only told them the basics and now gained other knowledge because they are really interested.

Honestly with the recent price surge to above $1,000 a week ago, I told some of the people who were I introduced bitcoin back when Im starting (the price around that time is playing at $220-$250) that bitcoin already reached a high price to considered (actually I did the same when the price breached $500). Thinking they will be more interested now but instead they just respond with "awesome, wow really, teach me again etc" but now not doing anything to get involved without my assistance.

This is the reality.
