Post quality: Excellent
The post quality of this account is terrible. It's mostly one-liner spam. The website www.bctalkaccountpricer should not be used to asses posting quality. Computers can not properly judge this, especially not with simple implementation such as this one.
10282  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Unmoderated] DefCoin poker Bitcoin chips on: October 16, 2016, 01:58:09 PM
I don't understand what you have against DefCoin poker Bitcoin chips. The chips he sells are cheap to produce for sure, and there's not a lot of work in it I agree with you all (and that's one of the reasons I won't buy it), but it's a way for him to make some money.
People should not remain quiet when there are obvious flaws to be pointed out. As long as we have ignorant people buying crap, the market will keep suffering, and other creators will tend to spend less work to create their products. This needs to stop.

If someone wants to spew some btc in these chips it's his problem, so I won't blame Defcon for "his lack of work" or something else, but those who are buying these chips.
This thread is about both: I blame the creator(s) and buyer(s).

for all of those , one side is assembled with a BTCitcoin hologram & the over side with a Fsociety hologram.
Defcon claims his poker chips have a Fsociety hologram on the backside.
For educational reasons, let us take a look at those backsides.
-snip-
Next time, better ask google first, Deffy.
Isn't the left one just the standard anonymous logo, which has nothing to do with fsociety? This just proves how much *work* they have (not) put into *their* product.

Here I put together  a DIY kit anyone can do.... Don't forget to get them individually numbered and call them collector items.
-snip-
These chips are a highly collectible pile of junk.

Info: Any criticism about the chips in the original thread will get deleted.

10287  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [Unmoderated] DefCoin poker Bitcoin chips on: October 15, 2016, 06:47:58 PM
These chips are indeed generic designs and can be easly ordered without hollow and with massive amounts if needed. just try google with 'poker chips custom design order'

even amazon got these designs available www.amazon.com/Bitcoin-Poker-Casino-Quality-Plastic/
Nice find over there. These chips are even more generic and horrible than I initially thought. This calls for the DOGE!

10288  Economy / Collectibles / [Unmoderated] DefCoin poker Bitcoin chips on: October 15, 2016, 06:05:40 PM
This is a unmoderated thread that allows free discussion of these "poker chips". I've removed some information from the post (but it's quoted) as it would make OP too large.

DefCoin poker Bitcoin chips  !

i would like to present my new crypto chips ..

they are ABS crypto chips,  weight: 11.2  grams, and they are available in 3 differents colors:

 - 200 regular black chips

 - 200 regular blue chips

 - 200 regular orange chips

for all of those , one side is assembled with a BTCitcoin hologram & the over side with a Fsociety hologram.

other picture:

at the moment:  - 70 blacks regular chips are already sold.
                          - 30 blue regular chips are already sold.
                          - 10 orange regular chips are already sold

i have also , on the last serie ( orange chips ) planed to make a special serie , with a numbered hologram, with my avatar in place of Fsociety logo..

ie: regular chips:

https://i.imgur.com/VKLal6Ll.jpg

special numbered ones:

https://i.imgur.com/JuP5eXXl.jpg

only 20 of those specials ones will be ever made !

i think  to sell those 20 chips  only   through private offers, or through an auction ... i will have to think a bit about it..  8-)

My question: When will collectors stop buying stuff that has barely any work put into it? These are just random chips with a sticker on them.  Roll Eyes /d

by the second party not signing. you cant have them back. because it requires dual signing.
by this i agree the second party cannot simply "take it from you" without your signature, but you cant take it without theirs
IIRC there is a timeout period after one party initiates the closing of a payment channel. Please take this with a grain of salt, as I'm unsure and this would be a *stupid flaw* to enable the possibility of indefinite state of irresoluteness. I'll do some research on this once I find more time.

the coins locked within the multisig require dual signatures. thus its not all your property. you require the second party to sign too..
Correct. This, however, does not change the fact that no one can take these coins away from you regardless of whether the secondary party chooses to properly interact with you or not.
10294  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit and LN are really interesting altcoins... but that is not Bitcoin. on: October 15, 2016, 03:44:31 PM
lets word it a different way,
exchanges accept bitcoin but while an exchange holds the bitcoin, they separately allow users to play with their 'balances'(mysql database) to make orders.
exchanges are not bitcoin, they are a SERVICE/BUSINESS layer at the edges of bitcoin, but it is not bitcoin.
the trades do no appear on the blockchain. the trades are incompatible with bitcoin consensus
only the deposits and withdrawals are part of bitcoin. not the service offering itself.
LN is just a service layer.

even blockstream admit LN is a second layer.
even blockstream admit LN is OFFCHAIN.
This is a false analogy. While you do not own the Bitcoins on a exchange, which is a service, you very much own the coins locked within a payment channel (with or without LN). *Nobody* can take these away from you, which is not the case with exchanges.

10296  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: October 15, 2016, 07:35:04 AM
If someone does end up getting multiple coins they would have to fool me into thinking they had only one address but using multiple emails and multiple physical addresses. And even then what will one person make off with? Maybe 2-3 coins?
It's relatively *simple*, just keep a public list of orders before shipping anything out. Obviously you wouldn't ship for "Lauda" to "Satoshi" if Lauda did not ask/confirm this. This would work for *confirmed* members, but alt accounts could stir trouble with PO boxes and whatnot.

I'm not into data mining people's info if that is what you are getting at.
Rule 1: Never trust anyone.

Good luck with this anyhow, at least it's free.
10297  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE] Monero Brass Coin Giveaway on: October 15, 2016, 07:12:08 AM
Please do not attempt to get me to send multiple coins to a single person who has access to multiple addresses. I will not ship more than one coin to a specific address for these giveaway coins.
In my eyes, this giveaway failed before it even began. Good luck to the others willing to DOX themselves for 1 coin.
10298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit and LN are really interesting altcoins... but that is not Bitcoin. on: October 15, 2016, 05:58:48 AM
Reaction after reading title and first post:

Segwit has nothing to do with "altcoins". It is the same chain, because it IS Bitcoin. Anyone claiming otherwise is either a paid troll or delusional. For something to be an altcoin, it would need to have its own chain, right? LN is a 'collection of payment channels' in a sense, not an altcoin.
