Tem 3 tipos de flags, que eu gosto de chamar de:
Tipo 1: Warning flag Tipo 2: Scammer flag 1 Tipo 3: Scammer flag 2

What causes a flag to expire?
They expire after 3 or 10 years after the incident (based on the type of the flag). [...] A new scammer flag should be created for each separate alleged incident. In the spirit of forgiveness/redemption, scammer flags expire 3 years after the incident if the contract was casual/implied, and 10 years after the incident if the contract was written. These expiration times might be administratively changed in specific cases. [...]
This specific test flag's "incident date" is May 2016. [...] It is not grossly inaccurate to say that the act occurred around May 2016 [...] So, 3 years after the incident (May 2019 in this case) the flag would have expired.

Basically, am I screwed?
No. I can think of possible 2 solutions here. 1) Backup your wallet file (at %appdata/Electrum/wallets - for preventive measures) and download the latest version of Electrum. It will try to convert your wallet file to the newest formats and you will be able to connect to the servers. 2) If your wallet file doesn't work on the newest version of Electrum (for some reason), you can try creating a watch-only version of your wallet, building a transaction, sending it to the old version Electrum for signining and broadcast it manually. That's an harder solution, so try out the first one and if it doesn't work, we can try this one.

This mixer is selective scamming ffs. Stop using it. If any of you guys that got scammed by them want to create a flag against his acc (to avoid other people getting scammed by him), go here and follow the steps choose either the option 2 or 3): https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;addflag=44692Then post the link here so I support it.

According to theymos instructions, only someone that got scammed by him or bustabit (since he's using his script without a license) can add the type 2 and 3 flags. So all you can do is give him the flag that only shows up to newbies and guests. Ask devans (bustabit's owner) to add him a flag. Then you can support it.

Since the thread was bumped... If you use the Firefox browser on your phone, you can download the Tampermonkey extension and use this script to make it more mobile-friendly: Bitcointalk Mobile Friendly App for Android

He doesn't own shit about this "trading platform"; remember the Bitfi """hardware wallet"""? He's just getting paid to promote it, just like he loves to do with other bad projects and shitcoins. If you have a few BTC spared, you can get him to say whatever you want. Don't trust this just like you wouldn't trust any other random/shady exchange.

How about someone who is advertising to sell bitcointalk accounts on a locked thread. Do they also apply in this case? Lemme look for the link of some account seller i have just seen
If I understood correctly, you can only give him the first type of flag " Due to various concrete red flags, I believe that anyone dealing with this user has a high risk of losing money" - which is only shown to guests/newbies. The other 2 cases are only valid if you are a victim of OP (scammed, deceived, etc). If he " violated a casual or implied agreement with me, resulting in damages" or " violated a written contract with me, resulting in damages".

He managed to create this thread so it looks fine, but if he was reading a thread and in the mean time this thread was deleted, if he tries to reply to this thread he will get the same error. Using the back button gets him back to the same cached version of the deleted thread and I guess he tried to post again but the same error came. This is my guess That's exactly what I understood after DdmrDdmr's post. I thought he was getting that error whenever he tries to make a post, but that's what shows when he visits a (now deleted) post from him. case closed?

Not exploring the STYLISH plugins yet but how to modify the font colors?
I like the dark theme but the font color on the provided screenshots seems hurting my eyes for I don't know what's the reason lol.
Find the one you want and install it. After that, go to BitcoinTalk, click on the extension icon next to your URL and click "Edit" on the installed theme. It will open an page with the CSS code of the theme. Just change the color hex to the one you want.

I’ve been having trouble with a transaction I made yesterday. I set a 1sat/b fee, since I’m not at all in a hurry to have it confirmed. I woke up today and went to check and it is no longer anywhere to be found on a block explorer. The transaction doesn’t exist on any explorer and, naturally, the original output hasn’t been spent and the destination address hasn’t received anything either.
I imagine this means it dropped out of the mempool? This has never happened to me before and I’m not quite sure how it works. It had only been about 12 hours since I had made it. I thought it usually spent a lot longer in there before it dropped.
Are you sure you're searching for the right transaction? (is the tx id right? which block explorer are you using?) Transactions don't get dropped after only 12 hours. I've had a few that lasted days before getting confirmed. Anyway, here is where the problem starts: I’ve made the transaction using a Ledger Nano S. According to Ledger Live, the desktop software, the transaction still exists, though it has no confirmations. There is a sync button in there that supposedly updates the info from the blockchain, but nothing happens when I press it. In the ledger support website, they suggest I clear the software’s cache which would allow it to solve any syncing issues but no luck. I’ve even reset all accounts from Ledger Live and paired the device again and still, nothing.
Try using your Nano S with the Electrum wallet. How to: https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005161925-Set-up-and-use-ElectrumSee if the transaction shows up there. If it does, right click -> Details -> Copy; then, go to a few tx broadcasters [1] [2] [3], paste the code there and submit it. So, what now? I thought about doing a RBF but I suppose Ledger would try to spend it from the change address of the original transaction, which hasn’t been confirmed. There were no other outputs in the wallet. What happens then?
Would a Child-Pays-For-Parent work for this?
It would to get it confirmed quickly. Just open your Nano S wallet with Electrum and follow these instructions: https://bitcoinelectrum.com/how-to-do-a-manual-child-pays-for-parent-transaction/

You can. Just go into another computer, install Electrum (the latest version), and import your wallet with its backup seed.
If you didn't write down your backup seed (for some reason), you can see it by going to Wallet -> Seed. ALWAYS have this seed written down. Without it, you can't recover your coins if something like this happens or if you break your PC.
P.S: Be careful with the phishing websites! Always double check the URL: ELECTRUM.ORG is the only real website Electrum has.

I am not sure this will ever get any confirmations.
It will. But it is probably going to take some time until the mempool clears out. You can also just do what I said and CPFP the transaction to get it confirmed quickly (even in the next block if you want). What if no confirmations? Will my coins go back to the same private key and can i be able to reuse them... ?
If it doesn't get any confirmation (it will), you can just keep rebroadcasting the transaction until it gets, even if it take days/months/years (assuming it would take that long). I am a little concerned actually. How will i at leaat recover my stucked coins if my session ends with chipmixer?
You already have the private-keys. So even if your session ends, you still will have control over the address with the pre-loaded coins (the "chip"). P.S: Remember that you can keep extending the session until everythings sorts out.

I received a chip that was created 12 hours ago, but it's still an unconfirmed chip creation. Why do you hand out unconfirmed bitcoins after the mixing? How can I now be sure that this btc will ever confirm?
It was probably because of this: SourceThe mempool just spiked. ChipMixer used a fee which was enough for the time he sent, but it quickly grow up, so others got priorized.
If you are in a hurry, you can just spend the coins right away (even if still unconfirmed) by import them in Electrum, then using a high fee to CPFP your transaction. (basically, miners will want to confirm your transaction because of the high fee, but they will need to confirm the one from ChipMixer first, so both will go through at the same time)

I think it has something to do with the fact that "quoting" is basically a reply (which is why it opens the "post reply" page when you click on it). And you can't reply to a locked thread. So, it was meant to work like this.
You can alredy make a quote manually (by getting the unixtime, link, author and using it in the quote format). So, Maybe I can try creating a script for this, if anyone is interested.

Regarding the watch only wallet : I transfered some bitcoin to it by accident, maybe any of you can guide me on how to send this to my standard wallet ?
You didn't understand how this works. - Your Bitcoin is in the address X. You have a watch-only wallet with the address X. This means that you can only "watch/see" this address (balance, transactions, etc... but not spend). To have the same as a "Standard wallet" for your address X, you need the private-key. The only way you can recover these coins is if you manage to get your address X private-key and import it in electrum (the private-key). It will basically create the same wallet as you have now, but with the capacity to spend the coins.

I'm curious about something if anyone has a bot. I've recently surpassed the 250 sr member earnt merit threshold: 1. How many people have reached this mark 2. How many people have more than 1250 total merit (as its harder to get when you're over 1000 imo - I don't hand them out as readily anyway to legendaries). 3. How many have more than 1500 And other merit analysis you can come up with.
(I'm specifically interested in this campaign as I assume bpip can handle the forum as a whole).
