10281  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: February 07, 2017, 02:41:11 AM
Online Betting is much of a better option than Betting in real life. If someone bets online that person doesn't have to worry so much about where the bookie is located once the bet is over. Most online Betting websites tend to stay online 24/7 considering the amount of people going to the website.

Betting online is also an easy technique to learn how to manage bankrolls and bet orders. Betting in real life has a large paper-trail and the bookie will know what the person looks like (most places don't allow gambling or casino's and identity is a big issue). Plus winning a bunch of money in person will keep people's fixed on the person with the highest rewards. Unless the person likes that sort of attention then betting in real life wouldn't have that many consequences.

Have fun and stay safe.
Using an online bookie / website is better compared to real people. There are just times that you are going to lose then the bookie would have get you then ask you for your money, but when you win, it will take you weeks to get your winnings back and that's sad. It's not applicable, nothing is going to help you.  Safety is a big factor and betting online is better.
10282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: February 07, 2017, 02:31:11 AM
I would keep the winnings and use it to continue to gamble as it is my form of entertainment. Although in the end, i may end up losing all the winnings, i already have secure my base btc is still safe. So in this way, i get to gamble and at the same time limit my losses to the minimum.
to me it depend on the winning amount if the winning amount is a good one then i will divide it some for investment and some for shopping.

If I win, then I won't use it for continuing to gamble for that day. I will stop for that day and have fun with that winnings. And also I will going to divide it for investing into more profitable things and I will invest into some more investments. I'll buy also with some things that I need like gadgets, laptop and probably new smartphones.
I'm also not sure if I would continue playing on the same day... this is something that would depend on how much money I had earned at that time. Some people say that when you are earning too much, this may be the right time to stop. At most, I would play again only with part of the winnings.
You have to be satisfied at some point because, in everyone's life, you should be contented with what you have. You never should be greedy. With winning, you already have been blessed with it and probably going to be happy about it, don't overdo it because you will never know when you are going to lose it.
10283  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What would you do with your winnings? on: February 07, 2017, 02:23:18 AM
for the last time i am playing gambling with my litecoin, i am keep in my wallet in the gambling sites and i am waiting for another moment to start playing gambling again. i think i will wait and will keep until i have like 5 litecoin or more and then i will withdraw it into my wallet in the market and then sell it.
I never gambled with altcoins, I am just not interested in doing it but I like to win of course. With my winnings, I just simply spend it to go out with my friends, in that way, I can feel that despite of my past losing experience, I still have a chance to enjoy it.

Winning moment should be enjoy as that does not happen all the time.

It's enjoying if you haven't tried it, then you can just simply visit yobit and try to get free coins there and you can play their dice all they long. This is what I've been doing with my winnings, I just save it if I'm already contented and I want to secure that amount but if I'm still have that crave to gamble, I just visit sites that accepts alt coins.
at first i'm also enjoying with doing this mate because of good bankroll when using alt but suddenly a mistake happen to me and I lose huge amount of alt and sad thing mate that  alt made a huge rise in value so double punch happen to my face making me think for almost 3 days before i realized that it is my mistake, winnings should be enjoyed gambling can be done everyday but winning is not.

it is on your faith sorry to hear that you lost your alt coin, but losing for the second time will make me also thinking for a week. losing your alt coin and then suddenly the value of alt coin you have rises will be a huge mistake from me too. we should consider also if we play gambling we should always take the risk of losing.
Everyone who has gambled probably experienced losing a lot, whether it is an altcoin or our loving Bitcoin. You will never know what can happen with the price of alts because it's ever fluctuating. You should not be greedy considering everything. It's probably because you risk on losing. Better be safe than sorry.
10284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: February 06, 2017, 03:53:13 PM
For some, gambling is part of the vacation experience. It comes in the hotel/resort and provides entertainment for the guests.

That's for some and they prefer to gamble in real one rather than online. But there are also some that prefers to gamble online while they were on a vacation, for example if they are vacationing in a country where gambling is prohibited then they don't have choice but to gamble online and that can make them relieve their crave.
since online gambling are flexible i guess everyone love to do it online , as for some people especially an under age player they can't go to a real life casino. but you can do it even you are an animal in online gambling casino. so for me online gambling have more supporter and it's good for bitcoin as it seems that onlince gambling have a big contribution to bitcoin adoption.
For me, online is very appropriate and very comfortable especially someone who likes to stay away from casino environment, there are a lot of smokers there, I can manage but would prefer not to. There is no assurance whether you'll win or lose so, it's pretty hard to win, but it's entertaining. Bitcoin have achieved lots of accomplishments that are actually worthy, one of them is being applied into gambling. Lol
10285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling problem on: February 06, 2017, 03:45:57 PM
I think we won't come up with a solution to our gambling problem or we will always end up in problem if we keep on betting. Better stop.

There will be no solution, the only way is to stop betting however I doubt if people actually understand what it takes to stop this. People need to be aware that the word addicted is not really related to gambling, it is not something that could ruin yourself even if you stop immediately unlike drugs therefore it is silly when people say they cant stop

You are not interested in facing any problems then better stop gambling. In the beginning, there is no problem in gambling once we get to earn money and after that, if we get lost from there the actual problem will start. But quitting gambling is not easy, the addicted gamblers know that pain. They are ready to quit but they can't this is a problem in gambling.
Honestly, if you would ask me, I can only count how many times I earn money from gambling because most of time I lose my bankroll. Maybe, we have to accept as early as possible that we can never gonna win if we are not making it seriously. What I mean is, if you are serious, you would do the necessary things in gambling, and one of the most important is to have a decent bankroll.
Right many gamblers are like you, and they only make a record for their winning streaks. Becasue we get very less winning streaks in gambling. If you start to count your losing streaks, you will never come back to gambling again. That much amount we lose in gambling. So if you solve this problem, you will not face any problem in gambling, means if you maintain your loss record you will get to know how much you lost and you will think whether you continue gambling or not.
It's not all about the losing streaks, and you can have multiple losing streaks but still be able to come back when you finally hit a win. You would really need an enormous amount of money or bankroll to ensure that you would always win. No matter what your cost is. It will always be a win if you immediately take out your profit or double your bankroll. That would be already enough. Don't get too greedy because that's always the problem.
10286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: February 06, 2017, 03:38:49 PM
Yes, trading is like gambling in many ways. First of, like in gambling no one can actually predict what will happen next. In gambling it's about what number you will roll or what card will appear next. In trading it's about which coin will be pumped today and which will be dumped. Second, like in gambling, the higher the amount of money you risk in trading the higher your profit might be in case your predictions were right ones.
If you think like that then i have to say that any form of investment is like gambling. When it comes to trading you have to consider the fundamentals and the future prospects if you are planning to invest a serious amount of money and that is not the case with gambling as gambling is pure luck and does not have any fundamentals.
True, when money goes out of our hands then there will be no control/recovery will be possible which are typical characteristics of gambling. So trading or investments are just an improved versions of gambling. But literally we are taking risks and we are gambling our hard earned money.
If you say an improve version of gambling then it is gambling, I don't think that way. Trading is very different in gambling, in gambling you can have fun because the main purpose why it is created in to entertain gamblers that is why there is a house edge, that characteristics is not present in trading, so no.

Trading is meant to earn profit. If someone would treat it as only for fun then that person is really just wasting his money on anything he wants. In trading, luck is very optional to have. What will help you the best is your skills and strategy from it. Unlike in gambling you can only rely on luck for you to win. Whatever the strategy you use it won't work in a long time because the house will immediately notice it.
But there are gambling games that do rely also on knowledge and skills like sports betting and also on card games but still it does need luck because its gambling after all and also on trading it does still need luck but necessarily because it depend most on skills and experience you do have.
It's not all the time that you only depend on you luck. You also depend on yourself and knowledge or research on the best strategy that you can have. There are a lot of ways you can really win in gambling, you just have to apply it or make one. Trading on the other hand requires patience and foresight in order to know what you should do, whether sell it or buy. There's always that case.
10287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Bitcoin and real money? on: February 06, 2017, 03:06:41 PM
I use Bitcoins because I don't have to put it in a bank because my Bitcoin wallet is my own bank. Bitcoins are more secure and the payment is not reversible so no chargebacks on online payments.

Instead on saving on bitcoin wallet, you can invest it. If you want fast money go invest it, but if you only want slow money earnings, wait for the bitcoin value to go high. Instead of waiting for the bitcoin value to go high, just go with it to invest it. If you are investing large amount of money, you can earn faster and faster

I agree that Bitcoin is your own bank and you don't have to worry about your money being handled by a stranger. For the investing part, I would like to try some investments that could yield a good profit. Since not all investments are good, there would probably be a negative one where it can fail (hopefully it won't). Just try to diversify it.
10288  Other / Archival / Re:   on: February 06, 2017, 03:04:21 PM
Recently, i often see discussion about Bitcoin Bank. More and more people come here and ask about bitcoin bank & surprisingly i see few user agree with this idea.
So, i would like to find out the percentage of user who agreed with this idea.

Honestly, i think this idea is stupid and worst idea that i've seen in my life. What do you think?
p.s. we don't talk about bitcoin debit card OR any centralized service which only ask name and email address.

It's ironic because bitcoin Core is trying to turn bitcoin into some kind of bank with bitcoin Core being the bank and LN being some kind of SWIFT system.

And a lot of people seem to support it

But what's wrong with that?

After all, isn't all folks here are saying and then continuously repeating that you should be "your own, personal bank"? With LN, that would be like a distributed decentralized banking system, and the true irony is that implementing this idea would actually mean creating "you own banks" in the literal sense of the word. Further, if LN gets activated, no one could force you to use the payment channels that this system should provide, right?

I guess so. The risks of people accepting those kinds of ideas probably have advantages and disadvantages. What do you think can happen when that thing comes? It would be just another bank that BITCOIN was not made for. It was to prevent intermediaries in transactions. We would see if that happens.
10289  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you feel shameful for being a gambler? on: February 06, 2017, 02:18:06 PM
if you are only gambling your OWN money then I believe there is nothing to be ashamed off specially if you get your money through your own hardwork ! It is no one else problem if it lose or win as long as you didnt do anything illegal then there is nothing to be ashamed of
It's what you do with your own money, that is your own problem. I agree with you and others don't have a say with it EXCEPT if you are addicted to it. If it is destroying relationships and forgetting your responsibilities, that is not good. You should be ashamed of yourself that you are not in control. That's the time you should be ashamed. Assess yourself whether you're on the right side or not.
10290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If today was your last day, would you gamble everything? on: February 06, 2017, 02:13:00 PM
the topics in this board get weirder every day! it seems like there is competition between users to see who can ask the weirdest question. if it is your last day there will be millions of things on your mind and gambling is the last one that anyone is going to think about.

besides even gambling addicts wouldn't gamble since they gamble for winning money and if they are dying they won't need money!

yeah right, increasingly many weird questions popping up. And this is one of the weirdest questions. I do not think there will be gambling if he knew that today was his last day. Just think, if it was your last, then you gamble all you have, then you win and die. Are you going to enjoy your money? Your money would be redundant, useless. Day of your last better if you give money and whatever you got to your closest person. Or give it to someone who really needed. Remember, you can not take your money to the grave.

No, we should think positively, it is reality that everyone will die, but no one know when we die. So it is a question to know who build love with gambling, or family and another. I think we should feel relax, because it is just a question, you know in the exam, we face different and difficult type of question, So let think it is difficult question when we decided to choose one thing between someone and gambling.

I would prefer to do something else instead of gambling. I would want to be with my family when I know I'm going to die, but Gambling is exciting. Probably, if my family allows me, I would gamble with them, a significant amount of money would suffice but not entirely. I would like to do a big bet in order to win enormous amount. I would still leave all my belongings to them if I were to die.

10291  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is GAMBLING? on: February 05, 2017, 06:44:01 PM
gambling is not a good place to those people who wants to earn in bitcoin industry, it is only for a rich people.
now if your not rich, never try to get involve yourself in gambling due to you will loss money only.
honestly, gambling is really design for fun and entertainment only. not design for us to become greed, and
addict in the games.
I agree that gambling is not made for money and this is just an entertainment game. But this gambling is not carried out for only rich people. Yes, they will play to double their investment, and they are ready to lose money so that they will do gamble. But the normal people also play for fun and they also ready to spend some coins for their entertainment. Finally if you are willing to face risk you can do gamble or else stay away from gambling.
I think what you are trying to say is that rich people have more chances in winning rather than normal people even though both are playing for fun? Luck depends on yourself, whether you are destined in winning or not. Better yet, do not gamble anymore to save your money instead of gambling it but you would always have a thought that you have a chance to win, making you want to gamble then end up losing regretting your decision. That's everyone's cycle.
10292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: February 05, 2017, 06:40:33 PM

sports betting is really better because in these gambling people often rely on their previous knowledge and experience but when someone will play gambling in sites like dice then it will be only rely on luck

Sportsbetting rely on luck as well. You are going to know that everything actually relies on luck, even when you have did quite a few analysis for the match, it might screw you so dont think that with serious knowledge of the game you might be getting profit from sportsbetting, I'll tell you this , it isnt going to happen

I do agree that sports betting relies on luck too.  Aside from that there are different result a person can bet making it harder for the gambler to win.  There are certain sports betting games where we need to bet on which side to win and then the scores of each team plus the possible draw between the match.  It is harder than we think and luck is much more needed in here Smiley
Everything is almost based on luck but doesn't depend on that too much. An analysis is still essential in winning, especially in sports betting. Better know what team you want to bet, how they play, who they are playing, what is their weakness, etc. Some would be difficult, but it's not impossible. Maybe you need luck on your side to win, and some underdogs will soon be the top teams, that can happen.
10293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: February 05, 2017, 06:38:16 PM
If you try with 100% confidence and you must stick with your decision, then nothing is impossible. You can easily stop gambling. But here we need more dedication and hard work. I agree it's not easy to give up gambling but if you have self-confidence and you can able to control your mind. It will take some time, but one fine day you will stop gambling completely.
It can't be always 100% because you felt the need of it, probably experienced winning so you might want to feel more, want to win more, and that affects your brain also. The dopamine level increase affects you, even when you don't know it. It's effective that even social media addiction is happening, and that's not healthy. Better go to focus groups so you won't be alone.
10294  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling vs Real Gambling on: February 05, 2017, 06:11:46 PM
Real gambling is more fun because you meet with friends have some drinks an gamble in the real machines, gambling online is more comfortable but its boring and you can end up losing a lot of money because its way easier to waste money online than you would in real life, so i think real life gambling is the best thing.
I still don't understand how is easier to waste money online than in real casino. It is the same. You can lose the same amount of money and you can waste your money very fast in both ways. If you have money it doesn't make any difference where do you gamble at all.

On the other hand what if you don't have credit card? Or btc in wallet? Can you than say it is easier to waste  money faster in online casino? I don't think so.

Well when I go to a real casino I never take my bank card with me and withdraw a certain amount beforehand, so I don't gamble too much of my money.
Online it's easier to keep on depositing and I can see some can have a problem with that, but a real addicted gambler will always gamble no matter what.
Sorry, but you missed my point. If someone want to gamble, that person will gamble no matter what. Even if you left your card at home, it is so easy to come home and take more money and go back to casino. I've seen it so many times.
Either you are gambling near home and you can easy come back for more money, or you gamble hundred miles away from home, but in that case you will need your card  Grin
But if a person plan from his home that he will not gamble more than what he is taking with himself then after leaving card and money at home with which he do not want to gamble do not come back to take them again with himself. He will have the promise in his mind and gamble only with that amount which he took with himself.
that is a good strategy for those people who have already planning and limit for gambling but still they cannot stop gambling even if they reach to that limit. so if they took only such amount of money with him which he already decided to play gambling with then he can really prevent himself from losing a big amount of money.
That would be compelling to some people because they might just stop gambling because they are too lazy to come back to the casino, even though they are near. It's very tiring also even if you own a car, it's still an effort, and hopefully you will realize that you will just lose in the long run or you will lose again. It would be a waste of your time. Hopefully, some people will understand that.
10295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: do you use analysis when play gambling? on: February 05, 2017, 11:10:10 AM
Just want know how much the gamblers who use analysis when play gambling and what kinds of gambling game? And do you think it is needed or not making analysis on gambling game or it is depend on lucky. Thanks for share your opinions and experience.
That gambling depends on probability and everything else is random is a fact. But we still don't believe in it, we feel like it should be different. That is why when I play dice and have 50/50 chances to win, if I lose I keep betting on the same (less than some number, for example). If I win I'm likely to change my bet from 'less than' to 'more than'. I know it doesn't make sense but thus I feel like I'm analysing the situation and it's under my control. Undecided
I think you are missing some point here, in my point of view, you cannot have that 50/50 chance to win in dice games. AFAIK, they have the house edge. The figure is unreal, sorry. Better play with skilled based games if you really want to have that kind of chance.
Exactly, if there is a chance of 50/50 the golden words which is "we lose in the long run" would have not been made. This is gambling, the advantage on the house are always present, they will not bother to operate if they do not have any. It's better to know and be educated with the real house edge so we will know the right approach to do.

That's a smart way of looking at it, they won't continue business if they see they are losing right? Better yet to get small amounts of winning then save it until needed. There wouldn't be any safe approach or strategy, there would always be a chance that you can lose everything. Try experimenting on different ways and celebrating when you've reached optimal amount, lookout for greediness, it could eat your bankroll alive.
10296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Investment Doubt on: February 05, 2017, 11:03:23 AM
For how much time do you usually let your money invested in a casino before finish or renew it?
I'm thinking about my first investment for a week or so now, because I still haven't undersood some monents in the system. Can I lose my stake even if the casino is running well or can it happen only if something goes wrong with it? And I can't realize the difference between long-time and short-time investment as well, so I don't know how much longer will it take.

If the total bankroll goes up, then your investment goes up too. If it goes down, it depends how much share you have. Most of the time, the major shareholders are those who own the casino. Thus they suffer the biggest loss, but can gain the biggest profit too.
In a fair system profits or losses will occur in same ratio as your stakes are directly proportional to any changes of bankroll. So, in a percentage your losses and profits will be same as major shareholders. Gambling houses are making good profits so we need not to worry about big losses with gambling bankroll investments.

Gambling houses probably have their downs, but that rarely happens. Investors could be assured that they can get sufficient amounts if they check regularly and when they made sufficient quantities of money. Gambling houses rarely lose, I think. That's why they are opening their own online gambling sites to earn.
10297  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your game and why? on: February 05, 2017, 10:58:42 AM
Well for me I don't gamble much even if I do I gamble for fun with less money. I mostly bet on sports and my strategy is pretty good. I was a bet on a team when the match is going to end so It kind of gives me any idea who the winner Is gonna be and there is less reward and less risk also.
I'm sorry, I just don't understand what you are trying to say, you cannot place your bet when the game is going to end, because sports book requires us to put our bet prior to the game. If what you meant is live betting, then I would say, it's a good idea and it's very profitable since you can see how the team react against each other.
Yes, i think he was referred to live betting, which we can still place our bet (but when the match will going to end, the odds which we want to placed is too low, usually below than 1.05x). This is good strategy, but doesn't mean you can always win from that, sometimes miracle happens and your bet will be lose.
A lot of things can happen even though it's just seconds; you will never know it until it happened. Miracles can really happen and sometimes happen when you least expect it. It's good to see if you're really knowledgeable of the games you are betting on, and those will be your edge on winning. Make it your best to be profitable.
10298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Everyone looses in the long run on: February 05, 2017, 10:56:11 AM
That's true greenbits. In sports betting there are so many sites which tell you which sport to bet on. I don't remember the site but I was following one site where it showed the records of the adviser and after I followed those I used to win 7-8 out of the 10 bets I placed which was profitable for me.
Actually it is a game in which you will lost more as the time spent by you in gambling more .
I am.fully satisfied with you that you are saying true that in the start of bet you made much profit but if you will go for more then you will loss all of your initial .
Here everyone who will ho for professional gambling wil loss all .
So here I will suggest to not go for long betting , just try to make small fun and small profit for small time .
Here I already lost about 0.2 bitcoin just to recover my loss again .First I entered in gambling to make small fun but as the time spent by me in gambling increases my loss also goes on Incresing .
Everyone probably has ups and downs when it comes to gambling, or generally speaking in life. There would be sunshine and rainbows and storms along the way, in order to make you realize that it's going to be a ride in your life. In order to learn what you're trying to seek, it's important to know what your goal is. Don't make some things worse than it already is.
10299  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: February 05, 2017, 07:02:37 AM
I wouldn't know. I've tried gambling before from poker, to roulette, blackjack, slots and even some sports betting... never did I find it appealing or addictive, tho I like poker and still play it but for fun not for money but my dad, uncle and brother are betting day to day. I don't even find  sports that interesting tbh lol
Good thing you are not influenced by your family, that very unusual. Usually, when your relatives are gamblers you like to try what they are doing also as at first you will be curious. Better not try it if you do not have the interest and the skills, you'll never like what you will become if you do.

Yup i agree, you are amazing to not being influenced by your surroinding people that play gambling, and me too i like playing poker sometime just for fun and not using money definitely but its still depresing when lose after big win, lol Cheesy

Then you are still playing for profit and not for fun. If you just play for fun you won't feel depressed if you lose your money in gambling even if you already win. If you play wisely that time you should already withdraw your winnings and go home with a smile. Playing for fun is enjoying the game neither you win or lose. You won't take it deeply if you lose money after you gamble. And still come back again next time without thinking to recover what you previously lose.

Those are some people's belief that if you play for fun, you won't be affected. Some people are still affected because they don't know how to experience losses. There are people like that and those are just the people you know. Maybe around the world, relationships are being destroyed because of gambling. Families being torn apart because of the addiction. It's not healthy.
10300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Rich from Gambling? on: February 05, 2017, 06:35:36 AM

There are only few people that getting rich from gambling probably they have a pure luck? hahaa, I think those who getting rich from gambling are those who have great capital to gamble, last month I've saw a man that bet $35,000 worth of chips on a single roulette spin and win $3.5M, it's viral on facebook and he is super lucky.

Some people are very crazy to bet everything in gambling. Well we only live once so some people love to take that risk, there is nothing wrong with that if you could accept the fact that you might lose everything if you actually lose. Therefore do some thinking about this stuff before you decide to follow this path

Well, that is some people's motto, You only live once or YOLO. Some people really do that because they are fine if they are going to lose because they can afford it. If you're in luck, then that's good, it's not always going to happen but it can. Just keep gambling responsibly.
