10301  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is up with Bitcoin? on: January 04, 2017, 05:15:07 AM
.. This happened before and it crashed back to $300..

Like I said, "Past Performance Can't Guaranteed Future Results". Cool

Why bitcoin just had an amazing year?

When surprises happen, people buy bitcoin.

When Greece threatened to leave the European Union in 2015, investors surged into the digital currency. The same thing happened when Britain voted to leave the European Union last year, and when Donald Trump defied polls to win the U.S. presidential election. Recent economic surprises in China, India and Venezuela that threatened to destabilize those countries’ paper currencies sparked an interest in the digital alternative as well.

That’s why Chris Burniske, an analyst at ARK Investment Management, a firm that invests in disruptive innovations, has termed bitcoin a “disaster hedge.”

“People are using it similar to how they use gold,” he says. “They use it as a risk-off trade when they’re concerned about what’s going on in the capital markets.”

Last year held plenty such surprises for investors, and they collectively helped make bitcoin the best-performing currency of 2016, analysts say. The currency’s value more than doubled in 2016 to reach $1,029 on Tuesday, a three-year high, as data from CoinDesk, a bitcoin-tracking website, shows.

10302  Economy / Exchanges / Re: why is btc-e price always behind? on: January 04, 2017, 05:06:32 AM
thanks for all the responds but just to be clear i wasn't even thinking about arbitrage or buying bitcoin there (i bought bitcoin when price was $200 to $400 and then a couple of times on $650)
and as for arbitrage i never liked it becasue of the fees.

but it is still strange to me to see the price being $50 behind!

So if we get straight to the point, you are only noticing that they are behind from other exchanges at no purpose at all e.g buying or trading etc. Basically and obviously exchange rates have different rates even we have to see it behind or being fair or not.

And about being a good exchange, well they already established a quiet good name in the history of their existence that's why some of the traders are doing business with the site.
10303  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: NOW is a good time for a hack! on: January 04, 2017, 04:48:51 AM
It seems to me that if you are a hacker and you have figured out how to hack some Bitcoin company you do not have to act at once and can wait. Wait for the Bitcoin price to increase so you can make money of your hack. I have a feeling that more hacks happen is the price is relatively high.
Some will argue that it is the other way round and the high price attracts hackers, but these things need preparation and do not just happen over night. Also some might not have the patience or the price is going nowhere, but a smart hacker would take the risk and wait some time.
So right now would be a good time for the next big hack!

No need for price increase for hackers to execute their hacking "once all was set to 100%" and all things associated in their scheme are being prepared and ready to go. Besides if the purpose of hacking is to hold bitcoin after it was done then no need to wait for a price surge.

So all the time, a bitcoin user must do anything to make their coins secure especially those who has some big amount of trading funds in an exchange site. It's easy to say for some exchanges that hack has been happen in their system but the fair point is selling those funds then purchase it right after a succesful dipped that they triggered.
10304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your best luck and worst luck gambling experience? on: January 04, 2017, 04:09:43 AM
Hi Guys!
I have read many interesting gambling relevant life-stories here on btctalk during the last few months.
For example a guy who sold his altcoins for 30BTC, lost them and later the altcoin price went 10x up. On the other hand my friend once told me in some common conversation that he thought Trump was going to win. From some reason I trusted him, bet on Trump and make some pretty money...
What's your best/worst luck or the most moving or unexpected gambling experience?
Let us now - really looking forward to reading your stories!

A casino gambling site offers some good promotions back in their commencement of operations (will not disclose the name of the site). The promotions is around BTC0.01 welcome bonus and I forgot what is requirements in able to withdraw that amount. I succesfully turned that amount into around BTC1 in just few minutes in the game of roulettes. So far that is the biggest "one time" winnings that I received in my whole gambling life experience.

Worst luck? I wouldn't have it called luck if it's worst lol.
10305  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: January 04, 2017, 03:37:18 AM
What a monster performance by Jimmy Butler scoring 52 big points against the Charlotte Hornets. And what really surprising was his 17 points in the final 4 minutes. What if Dwayne Wade is in good condition now, they might be a strong East contender (forgot Rondo he is totally wrecked lol).

And the funny thing, the next high scorer back in that game for Chicago Bulls was only 12 points. So imagine, Butler really did it all.
But they are inconsistent with their wins.
The Hornets beat them last time that they played and I remember that cause I bet on them 3 games after that and they all ended up in losses.
Isn't it funny that their main star shooter was out and they won the game. Undecided
That performance by Butler was a freak occurrence so don't expect that from him for a while. Unlike Lebron that can do that night after night after night. Well only if he wanted too. Wink Cheesy

Yes I might agree about the inconsistency of the Bulls in terms of winning streak because generally they always incomplete. I was just surprise for what Butler did and "hey is that really Butler"? Smiley We all know he is not a man like that. A big step and can be a future face for the Bulls.

Im not expecting from him in the first place and more importantly it's really non sense if we compare that player to Lebron James. Smiley
10306  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1x฿it.com - Most Competitive Sports฿ook & Casino | ฿est Odds & Wagering Options on: January 04, 2017, 03:33:27 AM
I am wondering how the payout rates are defined in 1xBit.com, are they the same as other sport betting site such as Bovoda, Sportsbetting.com etc? I asked this question a week ago, but did not get any answer...

It is a great site, by the way.

As far as all sportsbooking sites is concern, it is vary per site and doesn't need to disclose where they are sourcing anything in public but it can be in the first place and will not harm the site itself. Only them will surely know the answer.

But you know you can defined the closer one by looking at each sportsbooking sites and make an analyzation. Not an accurate one but at least a close one.
10307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 207: Rousey vs Nunes Prediction and Info Thread on: January 04, 2017, 02:39:27 AM
Well shit that was quick... im glad I didn't bet for Ronda Rousey, she got destroyed by Amanda Nunes. She was acting very strange, it was just not there, where was the head movement? she was walking straight into Amanda Nunes punches. She should have had a relaxed first round to be acclimated to being inside the octacon after 1+ year... but I think she was overconfident and went for the takedown too quick. I think her career is over.

I believe that her coach is not good. She has nothing to show that night. All she did was to block and release nunes shots that only give nunes an early idea to put pressure and step up her gas early, and look at her legs, was that really Rousey? It's too straight. She should have used the whole ring and forget about showing her kind of fight in the first round since it is what her opponent is expecting from her. If she only she avoid the first punches of nunes and not blocking it or  she could have survive another round.  Cheesy

She should fight another fighter and not nunes on her comeback fight, she still has the night mare from her fight with Holmes.

No room for advices and tips from the coach since Nunes agressive style maintains Rousey at her feet at the start of the round. Nunes is really good breaching Rousey's defense even at the early seconds of the fight. Rousey must think of a way herself during that phase and try to get out from that round but unfortunately it didn't.

They are all just not prepared for whatever output and Nunes able to spoiled them out surprisingly.
10308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be reach to $2000 at the end of 2017 ? on: January 04, 2017, 01:40:46 AM
i heard that bitcoin will be $2000 at the end of 2017 so are you sure that bitcoin will be reach its price to $2000 or it will be never happen ?

I can say that bitcoin can reached $3000, $4000 and even $1,000,000 so on too and if you heard that, will you still have some questions like that? Everyone can speculate their own price predictions and no way your question is answerable by an accurate one.

Everything is possible in bitcoin price. If bitcoin price will reached $2,000 then it has chance same as the price will goes back to $1.

Hello everyone, thanks all for your reply.Yes I got my funds after 2 hours.I don't know why it took so long but all well that ends well.I got my coins and now I am all set to start trading on Poloniex.Wish me good luck  Wink

As long as it was listed in your transaction history (with pending or transaction id), you will receive it no matter what. And if does not, then credit is the issue on the exchange itself.

Anyways goodluck trading in Poloniex and please keep in mind that bitcoin transaction is not always instant as what you mostly read here. Smiley
10311  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Price Actually Drop? When? on: January 04, 2017, 12:29:14 AM
Do you think that the Bitcoin price will really drop this time? I think there are many businesses and people who will not sell all their bitcoin as the price goes up, and will continue to buy bitcoin regardless of the price. Personally I will not be planning on selling my bitcoins accordingly to a price drop, and will continue to buy bitcoin. I think that bitcoin is a lot more stable than it was in 2013-2014 when the first big drop happened. Previously the price was extremely rocky, and now the price seems much more stable. What do you think will happen?

Do I think that bitcoin price will drop this time? Yes and if happen that is just a normal scene if no bad events will happen that can spoiled the current trend. And for the record, the price decrease that will happen is not that much, meaning we can see some bottom at above $900. I don't believe on a trend back then 2014 or 2015 as a basis for what will happen in the bitcoin today.

Take note that, past performance can't guarantee future results.
10312  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: January 03, 2017, 11:35:29 PM

It's either network traffic or message memory capacity (close or near of inbox having full). I have this experienced nung ang SIM na nakaregistered sa coins.ph account ko ay nasa di pindot pang unit. Smiley

Pero sa mga touch screens or iyong bubble conversation na ang layout ng mga message parang weird kung magiging broken pa ito.
10313  Economy / Gambling / Re: Satoshi Raffle, Anyone? on: January 03, 2017, 01:01:18 PM
I don't know if this counts as gambling, but I do know that it involves chance and risk.

I am leaving open the address 1HFunuF7KWwERhpQjWKLyBjsnU1BXHxR3E for people to put 2000 Satoshi each into. But here's the thing: you MUST register this address to a faucet, mining pool or cloud contract; you cannot pay with your own Bitcoin. Once I announce it is above 2 BTC, the first person the reply with their Bitcoin address, I will deposit half of the revenue (roughly 1 BTC?) into that address. (I'm keeping the other half obviously, lol Wink )

With the bitcoin price really getting on pumped, all possible ways of scam attempt is really possible. Come on make a better one. The output of this is clear.

So let's say your intention is true, do you think that there are still lots of people will get hooked of that mining and cloud contract method for an average bitcoiner?
10314  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casino site player vs player on: January 03, 2017, 12:47:07 PM

where is gambling site, in casino site, can play player vs player
about poker, blackjack and more

He was referring for a gambling site that has a featured of player vs player. Yes an actual and live match between you and a person.

This type of game is worth to try since it's strategical. We just have to be sure that we are dealing on a real human rather than a bot.

i wan to ask
where is gambling site, in casino site, can play player vs player
about poker, blackjack and more

plus i want to your review about bonus deposit, and more

As of now, Im more of the sportsbooking activities so didn't have a knowledge about it. About bonus deposits it depends on the gambling site as it was vary.
10315  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling with 0.01 bitcoin on: December 29, 2016, 11:46:37 PM
I was thinking about 0.01 and gambling.

What kind of website do I have to do

I hope I'll be lucky

Please give me some gambling sites  Wink Wink Wink

You want a fast phase game or a patient one?

If you want a fast result go with those gambling games like dice. If you want a thrilling gambling one then go on with sports betting. What sports do you preferred? I might help you but If I don't have a knowledge on the sports you will mentioned then I can't help you. reply immediately or shoot me a PM.

Also please take note that luck isn't happening the way we want so better ready for whatever the output is. Analyzation in sports betting was meant for reference only and not an assurance that we can win always.
10316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin gambling idea on: December 29, 2016, 11:32:12 PM
Hello;

I want to establish a bitcoin gambling website. Can you guys suggest me a "unique" idea excluding rolling a dice and poket?

I need a cool and brilliant idea which is currently not on the market.

Thank you!

How much amount you are willing to put? It's not a joke building a bitcoin gambling site nowadays since competition has really heating up due to the fact there are already lots of it. You need to pay for devs, hosting, advertisement, promotions, giveaways and PRIZES. Yes some of the things are affordable but it doesn't take it easy. Plus the maintenance and miscellaneauous fees.

There are big players who are throwing away big amount and you should match the amount they are throwing in case of a win.

10317  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: December 29, 2016, 11:17:00 PM
Will LeBron play today for Cleveland?

If not they will lose by double digits
Lebron James is expected to play but Kyrie Irving is game time decision and J.R. Smith is out along with M.Williams and Chris Anderson. If Irving plays it is a sure shot win for the Cavaliers. Boston is a shooting team mostly and if Cavs play solid defence in the mid range they have a good chance of beating the Celtics with a big margin. It is hard to stop Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley though.

Are you referring to Mo Williams? M. Williams is still part of 2016-17 Cleveland Cavaliers' roster but he is already retired last Sept. 2016 and about the Birdman, yeah he needs a season-ending surgery to his ACL injury. That's hurts lol.

Kyrie Irving can contained Isaiah Thomas. It's not that hard to defend it. But Boston Celtics is playing good recently. They able to won 6 of their last 7 games (only lost to OKC) and the average points is above 100+ points. Agree that Boston Celtics is a shooting team eventhough one of the guys got contained at the small part of the whole court, there are other guys who will do the job.

Agree Irving can but I think Coach Lue will assigned DeAndre Liggins to take care of Thomas which recently made a career high against the Grizzlies last December 20 of 44 points and a perfect 17 attempts from the free throw line. Liggins must be focused on this guy.
10318  Economy / Speculation / Re: touch down to 800$ is near on: December 29, 2016, 10:50:57 PM
WOW guys, $800 came and went and now we're knocking on the door of $1000. I've got a bottle of rum ready to crack as soon as its official. Happy fucking new year everyone!

The recent price has been increased rapidly and faster than many months or years before and I hope the next year to be better than this for us and for bitcoin. But I'm afraid that the price will get lower!

You shouldn't be afraid. It's an opportunity to make another rounds of buying and wait again for your expected price increase. Admit it, most of the people don't want to buy at the current price rate due to the fact that it's considered as high. Honestly back at $700 many are doubting to buy at that range since it was considered as high already, same to $500, $400 etc.

So, price dip = take a ride. After all bitcoin price will just go up.
10319  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: confused a bit in cloud mining on: December 29, 2016, 10:41:57 PM
i just heard the scams done to some peps
i am thinking to invest a bit in ckminer.com
is it ponzi system site?
should i invest in it?  Undecided
and please drop some legit cloud mining sites below

It was newly lised in one of the bad sites at badbitcoin.org @ 12/29/2016. There is no way a certain ponzi site will be listed there without any kinds of reason. We have no proof at the moment but it's wiser to be cautious. It's an obvious ponzi in my own view.

There are still legit cloudmining sites but Im saying it will not worth your time and wait. Better find other ways to earn bitcoin which will worth your time and effort.
10320  Economy / Speculation / Re: Manipulation finished. Bubble popping. on: December 29, 2016, 09:39:08 PM
Prepare for free fall guys. The manipulators have taken enough of your money for now and will let the price plummet again to 300-500 levels in order to play the same game all over again.

Anyone thinking this is a free market is delusional. 99% of all coins owned by 5 people lol.

Obviously it will drop and it's expected during a price increase rally. Others will take profit so prepared for the dip.

But to the point that it will go back again to $300 to $500 levels, especially with the difference of bitcoin user status today compare back then, I see it has really low odds to happened. No backup claims for this but it's a fail if bitcoin will touched again that level concerning miners about the recent bitcoin halving that happened.

Let's see how far this "troll" will go.
