eth is very close to the top already
On what basis you could say this ?

It is a guess.  But then again doge is 57 cents which is

.57/.0028 = 203 to 1 jump

so do I think eth could do 203 to 1   which is 16240 usd a coin

It could.

If it does Metroid is wrong and wrong bigly.

But  20000/1440 = 13.88 to one this is the 2017/2018 btc to eth number

so 13.88 x 3400 = 47222

and 13.88 x 4600 = 63,848.   That would match up and 4600 could be the top.

So 4600 would be the low top based on 2017/2018 ratios

and 16240 would be the high top based on what doge did from last summer to now.

Been trying for several weeks to get a L3+ or two at a decent price and they keep going up.  Finally got 2 today for $1200 total with no PSU.  Got a couple of extra HP 1200's laying around, so that works out. Hope they are legit, as they supposedly have a bunch more.  Paid with Paypal, so not too worried.

And of course it looks like it is some sort of scam.  Got shipping notice on the 2 miners today and according to UPS, it weighs 5lbs.  Since best I can tell from Google, they weigh over 10lbs each, so I would say something is off.  Crazy thing is that its through Mercari and they don't release funds to the seller until its received by the buyer and they are satisfied.  So  I am really confused by what they are trying to pull.

Also, no go on the Shuffle today and I picked every 3060/3070/3080.

I did sell my 3080 for small mint on Ebay today, so not a completely bad day.

Some shippers get special rates it may not be a spam.

1200 was a good price.  2 units are making about  25 or 26 a day  and burn about 40 kwatts say 8 bucks at 20 cent power so you net close to 20 a day. between doge and ltc. if they work.

April 1 to May 3 is 32 days but Sundays off and I missed 2 so I think I am on a 25 game losing streak.

My gut is bot players simply have 200 accounts to my 1.

As 25 x 8 = 200 picks say 10 cards each is 2000 cards. more likely they sold 20,000 cards last month giving me 20,000 chances to buy 1.

I would love open stats

how many are signed for shuffle each day
how many are accounts that are under 60 days old. = huge which is why we lose.
10344  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: May 04, 2021, 01:38:07 AM
I have to suspect a fair amount of it is asics. Unless the rumors of thousands of GPUs at a time going straight from factory to mining farms in China is true.  There simply have not been enough GPUs distributed in the "western" world to equal that hashrate.

As for the Shuffle, I went from 4 of 7 - 6 of 17 - 6 of 36.  The odds of winning seem extremely worse now, even with 20+ combos dropping each day lately.

I think it is exactly this.
10345  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 03, 2021, 11:36:46 PM
Does this mean buy doge no.  But it does not belong on the list you made.

I think the list was the top coins by market cap on coinmarketcap. That makes Doge definitely belong on there. There's a few others that don't though (most notably XRP).

I also suspect that the market caps of many alts are being manipulated so not really a good indicator for most purposes and Bitcoin's market cap has its own questions too (nothing nefarious but they are there). Market cap is mostly a meaningless metric anyway.

Well you could be right maybe it was his intention, but of those coins mentioned Doge is decentralized and it is well back by asics none of the others are.
Plus you actually get a bonus coin ltc if you are choosing to mine it.

I was earning

192 a month for my ltc miners on the ltc side

32 a month for my ltc miners on the doge side.

224 a month in July 2020

they now earn

1766 a month on the ltc side
4400 a month on the doge side

6116 based on todays numbers.

so 6116/224 = 27x the earnings.

Will it last? I have zero idea.
Does it mean I buy it? no I don't
do I hodl it? no I don't. should have held it longer than I did but its okay.

Primary reality for a guy like Musk is

BTC+ DOGE/LTC he plays them off each other and increases his wealth.

He can tweet anything he wants about them. They are not Stocks under USA law.

so he is manipulating them back and forth.

This will be fun to watch over the next 6 months.

I convert it into btc and fiat

ETH estimated hashrate

May 2020 : 180
Sept to Jan = +35% (4 months)
Jan : 300
Feb : 360 (20%)
Mar : 420 (17%)
Apr : 480 (14%)
May : 570 (19%)

Year over year : 215% increase in hashrate

I estimate June 1st will be : 700

Nvidia and AMD are producing GPUs at record numbers even though they arent available.  Many, many more than Pascal generation.  Eth price is going higher and higher.
6 million equivalent 3080s mining = 6 Billion msrp roughly mining (take with a big grain of salt)
In last month alone, 1 million equivalent 3080s were added, so = 1 billion $ extra capital deployed (again, grain of salt)

And going higher.

question to ask is how many eth miners are asic vs how many are gpu.

we went from 2.9 million to 5.7 million 3080's if it was all 3080's

but bitmain has admitted to the e9

linzhi asic does 2700 mh at 3300 watts
bitmain e9 does 3300 mh at 2800 watts.

  1,000 e9 =    33,000  3080's
10,000 e9 =  330,000  3080's
30,000 e9 =  990,000  3080's

I have to think that  they have that many in the field right now.

Shuffle was a no go.
10347  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 03, 2021, 08:48:23 PM
"I'd rather put my eggs in ONE basket that I fully control, than in TEN baskets that others control."
I was just looking at CoinMarketCap:
#1: Bitcoin! But it's losing market share, so I wondered what's taking the market share. Turns out, most of them are centralized:
#2: Centrally controlled Hardforkcoin Ethereum.
#3: Centrally controlled Binance Coin.
#4: Centrally controlled Ripple.
#5: Not centrally controlled Dogecoin (but originally started as a meme troll).
#6: Centrally controlled and probably not backed stablecoin Tether. I find it very hard to believe someone holds 52 billion dollar on some bank account to counter this value.
#7: Cardano. I know nothing about this so this is where I stop.

Why are people giving up their trustless Bitcoin for centrally controlled coins that are solely created to make the creator rich?

take Doge off the list and I would agree with you.

understand doge for what it is:

well backed by asics
and 10x the blocks which means 10x the transactions each day are possible.

the other coins are garbage.

Does this mean buy doge no.  But it does not belong on the list you made.
10348  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: OMG eth's reward on 40% downed for 14 days!!! on: May 03, 2021, 08:44:47 PM
Added columns with $ .
So if eth's reward downed on near 40%, then earnings in $ fell by 20% for 14 days!!!

That isn't even accurate and their is no way you can keep a 100% accurate data about mining reward

I made two scripts on JS and VBA.
1. First script scraping data from etherscan.io into txt file.
For example how it is look like:
"
12009388;2021-03-10 7:15:20291;0;Ethermine;12,494,026 (99.95%);12,499,875;75.92 Gwei;2.94848 Ether
12009387;2021-03-10 7:15:04483;0;0x3f0ee622f9e89df9db62c35cae55d57c56fd56f6;12,486,062 (99.99%);12,487,681;133.00 Gwei;3.66067 Ether
12009386;2021-03-10 7:15:02194;0;0x2f731c3e8cd264371ffdb635d07c14a6303df52a;12,473,390 (99.79%);12,499,886;110.57 Gwei;3.37912 Ether
12009385;2021-03-10 7:14:38252;1;MiningPoolHub;12,486,909 (99.99%);12,487,692;114.55 Gwei;3.49282 Ether
12009384;2021-03-10 7:14:32153;0;F2Pool;12,487,134 (99.90%);12,499,897;90.56 Gwei;3.13086 Ether
"
So it is consists of 350000 rows or more (all blocks) if i'll need. And have full data of number of block, date, pool, reward for the block.

2. Second VBA script calculate all the data from txt file to excel table.

So all eth's rewards in table are 100% accurate!!!

Yeah are being obtuse bro,

rewards were as high as 214% on viabtc

they are now about 150%

rewards mean nothing to a miner if the coin price rises enough to compensate for the rewards decrease.

it if I earn 214 eth at 1000 a coin
or I earn 140 etc at 1528 a coin either way I get

2140 usd worth of coin.

If you arguement is you are earning less eth per mh  fine you are.

eth is a coin to be traded for btc or doge or cash

so I do not care how much eth I earn per mh.

I care how much btc or cash or doge or even ltc I can get with eth.

My issue with eth will always be what happens if mr v drops dead tomorrow? The coin crashes and burns as people fight for control of it.

So I do not hold eth.

If you are looking to hold eth then you have a point.
If you do not care aobut eth's value in btc or fiat or doge or ltc then you have a point.

is this your board?

https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16813157781?

Are you sure you have a good i5 7400 cpu that is tested as working?

this list says it should work

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H110%20Pro%20BTC+/index.asp#CPU

now the ram list does not include your ram

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H110%20Pro%20BTC+/index.asp#Memory

so it may be you need a 2133 ram stick

it is all I got.

here is the proper section for this thread to be

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0

The ram list does not include my ram, but on the specs it says:

"Supports DDR4 2400 / 2133 non-ECC, un-buffered memory*"
"*7th Gen Intel® CPU supports DDR4 up to 2400; 6th Gen Intel® CPU supports DDR4 up to 2133."

And i have a 7th gen, which they claim supports up to 2400.

I'm either about to buy a different brand motherboard or buy a third set of RAM, which will probably let me down again.

are you sure the cpu is good?
are you sure the gpu's are good?

trouble shooting without a second mobo that can uses the cpu means you do not know if you have a good cpu.

basically

you have

bad risers
bad cpu
bad gpus
bad ram
bad mobo
bad hdd or ssd or usb stick

any of the above could be true.

so how to test a riser do it on a good setup if it works the riser is good.
how to test a cpu do it on a good setup if it works the cpu is good.
how to test a gpu do it on a good setup if it works the gpu is good.

the same is true for each and every part above.

if every part works they very likely the mobo is bad.

but there is not much you can do if you have just 1 mobo that can work the i5 7400 cpu.

since you know that does not work.

I know it sucks but you need multiple gear to test the issue out.

Added columns with $ .
So if eth's reward downed on near 40%, then earnings in $ fell by 20% for 14 days!!!

Who asked you to go through all this? That isn't even accurate and their is no way you can keep a 100% accurate data about mining reward and difficulty lol, it's like suffering yourself for nothing, do you even have a mining rig or you are just here to create mining FUD

And eth is at an all time high of about 3300 and viabtc rates are now

holding steady at $.1054 an mh

It is hard fighting with naysayers.

But I sometimes try to point out the math.

at $ 0.08  an mh a 3080 makes $8 usd. it burns $1.20 usd at 20 cent power or $6.80

so 365 x 6.80 = $2482 paid back after power.

at $0.09 an mh  $2847
at $0.10 an mh. $3212
at $0.105 and mh $3394.  we are at this point

so we are fine to mine a 3080

if we drop to $0.05 an mh and stay there the op has some correctness

as a 3080 at 20 cent power pays back only 1387 a year.  So if you paid 2500 you would be nervous.

but we are at $0.1054 and mh so no worries yet.

It's been hard to do that these past couple of entries.  Been picking like all of them previously.

I am picking every one but 1+2

At all if you get a win today please let us know. As it looks like someone should with this many choices.

I have gone from April 2 to May 2nd all losers

I am due.

and this is wrong

as you simply look at this totally wrong.

we have tracked between 0.085 cents and 0.1350 cents an mh since

jan 1st

but if we go out of range Ie under 0.085 usd an mh or over 0.1350 usd an mh then you become correct.

so once again simply go to viabtc every day and post the eth price for mh

and then get back if it goes out of range.

the range has been between

0.085 usd an mh or over 0.1350 usd

since dec 31st 2020

let us know when it gets under  or over that.

otherwise stop the bs.  as that is what you are doing.

10355  Economy / Speculation / Re: May 13th, Bitcoin will surge to $70k or it will be dump? on: May 03, 2021, 03:19:43 PM
I know we already heard the rumor if Alibaba has bought $20billion in bitcoin. They will publish their unaudited Q1 2021 report on this May 13th,

Source : https://www.google.com/amp/s/zycrypto.com/alibaba-rumored-to-have-bought-20-billion-in-bitcoin-will-this-come-to-fruition/%3famp

What do you think? If this really true, remember what happened when TESLA announced they have invested $1.5billion in BTC?
But, I'm not seeing any spike when some $20 billion entered into bitcoin market. Most probably it may remain as rumor. Still there are a lot of possibilities for them to have bought for such a big money in multiple days. But, $20 billion must be a very big money and people who are regularly monitoring bitcoin market along with volume might have noticed that. Let's wait for any official confirmation before or on 13th May.

Tesla told $1.5B was invested by the month of January itself and that times bitcoin was trading around $20k levels so there were possibilities as prices were continuously increasing in January/February/March.

Exactly. You can't just covertly buy $20bn without affecting the market price (aka make it go up)

Lets see

1 coin        = 58k
10 coins    = 580k
100 coins  = 5.8m
1000 coins = 58m
10000 coins = 580m
100000 coins = 5.8b
350000 coins = 20.3b

So 350,000 coins must be shifted.

the top 100 wallets above hold a lot of unknown coins.

https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/1P5ZEDWTKTFGxQjZphgWPQUpe554WKDfHQ  104k+

https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/37XuVSEpWW4trkfmvWzegTHQt7BdktSKUs       94k+

https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/1FeexV6bAHb8ybZjqQMjJrcCrHGW9sb6uF          79k+

https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin/address/bc1qa5wkgaew2dkv56kfvj49j0av5nml45x9ek9hz6 69k+

the 5 above are the largest address with no known ownership they have enough coins to provide 20 billion dollars worth.

So private sales are possible.  And the coins could change.

I see 63 unmarked addresses holding well over 1 million coins.
10356  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Announcing the FutureBit Apollo BTC - A Full Node/Mining Platform for the Home! on: May 03, 2021, 03:06:15 PM
Hoping for shipping next week.

A nice small quiet unit.

I went for all the whistles and bells.

Would have been nice to get it this week as this difficulty period is doing well.

I will post a video on YouTube.

I have no YouTube deals and do not earn from you tube.

I have no deal with the op and paid full price for this. (some coupon but same as anyone else)

I will point it to viabtc.

I will likely not use it to mine BTC but for this particular test video it will mine btc.
10357  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: TeslaWatt firmware S9 - free download on: May 03, 2021, 02:23:21 PM
Has anyone tried this firmware.

Will it be supported on bitcointalk?

I gave op 4 merits in hope he responds to me.

It also lets him be a member it he has posted enough.
10358  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: OMG eth's reward on 40% downed for 14 days!!! on: May 03, 2021, 02:08:58 PM
I don't know much about solomine or ETH rewards but I'm still getting exact $ per day on my GPUs, in satoshi the reward is indeed lower but in dollars the result is same thanks to ETH surging, my worries is still the month of July and those upcoming E9 ASIC miners

yeah we need eth price to move upwards but the real keys are how much growth is on the way.

572th does it go to 650 and then 750 then 850

if it does it must reach 4 to 5 k.

the market looks risky at the moment.

it is not the time to over pay for cards.
10359  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: OMG eth's reward on 40% downed for 14 days!!! on: May 03, 2021, 12:37:05 PM
Okay here is the deal  all payoff numbers on allmost all pools are bs.

The best way to track eth mining profit is looking at viabtc payout for eth per mh.

today it is .1015 pr mh

so a 3080 doing 100 mh pays $10.15

Is that down yes it is down a bit the all-time high was $13.50 for a 3080

these are pps+ number which take a lot of luck out of the picture.

now at 10 usd a 3080 which burns 6 kwatts or $1.20 at 20 cent power

it makes $8.80 and is fine.

These are perfectly fine numbers for profit. As long as you do not buy 3080's at stupid high prices like 2300 a card.

We are no where near a crash or an issue.
I suspect eth will go over 5k when 1559 becomes reality
That will help the card mining.
keep an eye on difficulty
https://etherscan.io/chart/hashrate

it is 572th on may 2nd
it was 486th on march 30th
it was  419th on march 1
it was 363th on feb 1
it was 293th on jan 1

So far price has been good enough to keep us between .8000 to .1350 an mh this Time period

we will leave it one day but not for a while.

10360  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asus Phoenix 1660 Super is hot? on: May 03, 2021, 12:26:31 PM
That is a known to be a hot card.

You can bump fan to 65% see what it does.

You can get away with 75% on the fan for long use.

I had one for 2 years it worked fine I sold it in Feb.

I would try it with 65 ,70,75 fan speeds and see how that helps

And it does pull a bit extra juice just like mine did.
