1041  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anonymous exchanges? on: March 11, 2018, 02:36:33 AM
Yup there are several exchanges that provide this currently. You can trade on Binance (up to 2 BTC), Etherdelta (unlimited), and I believe Poloniex as well (2k limit).
Binance doesn't have fiat pairs. They trade BTC / USDT which is still not fiat. Anyway they look like the only decent exchange with high unverified limits . Etherdelta is obviously working with ether and different tokens which won't be needed by OP. And before  verifying Poloniex account you will have 0$ daily withdrawal limit that will extend to 25k after verification, I've been checking this thing recently.

I have a few altcoin (clam, bch, btg) which I want to exchange into Bitcoin, but I don't want to give out my data.

No one needs your personal info. Just verify an account and exchange your coins.
1042  Economy / Scam Accusations / Scam exchange GoldXCash on: March 10, 2018, 08:58:33 PM
Hey everyone.
Today one again I've seen user GEneralbtc. Progoting his scam eschange GoldXCash.net
He started his thread back in 2016 (!!!). Since that time he is bumping this thread and locking it immediately in order to prevent negative comments in thread. He already have some warnings in his trust. There is a lot of accusations  in the internet and even on this forum against this eschange. Why da hell DT members can't finaly paint his trust in red? This exchange is already scamming people for years!

There is some more links to accusatuins against this service:

Google search will show much more scam allerts.
I'm asking DT members to do their rep things with  this user.
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Market Is Down But How Can You Still Win? on: March 10, 2018, 06:19:14 PM
You should have probably noticed that tokens and altcoins dipped lower then BTC, ETH and LTC. Usualy they are also recovering much faster. For example righr now Bitcoin have about +3% 24hr price while some altcoins are recovering by 10-20% per day. You can try to get into that wave. I've also noticed that altcoins on 100+ places of coinmarketcap are more sensitive for those fluctations and most of them are recovering faster while they are still a more risky investment.
1044  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: IDEX and decentralized exchanges on: March 10, 2018, 05:57:25 PM
All those decentralized exchanges sometimes lagging and have some delays with displaying the transactions so I would recommend to wait some time before  funding your account again. Such exchanges are normaly using ETH wallet (metamask / MEW / ledger) both as a login and password for the exchange account but you will still have  to send your tokens to / from exchange and fund your exchange account to make purchases.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where to buy Coins not listed on exchange yet, or tokens of recent ICOs ? on: March 10, 2018, 04:46:29 PM
Big part of ICOs are getting listed in exchanges like Etherdelta. Tokens are getting listed there way faster then coinmarketcap. Currently this exchange is not working but there is a Foredelta that forked from ED and it works fine. The greatest thing about it is that sometimes weak hands are droping their tokens and it may be possible to buy some decent tokens even below the ICO price!
1046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Way to X10,000 - from 100$ to 1,000,000$ on: March 10, 2018, 02:17:33 PM
Your goal doesn't look realistic. However I  would advice you to not just hodl your money. People that need charity will probably get too old and die before you get your million.
This is still not realistic but possible option on the bullish market (ofc if you got decent skills): with your 100$ you are catching a coin that is making x10 pump. Then you will have some more money and you could do some day trading with crypto pairs that you hodl and recieve an extra small benefit to your coin storage.
1047  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is negative trust working? on: March 10, 2018, 11:38:40 AM
To ensure that trust actually works and means something, shouldn't the campaigns which accept participants of negative trust be not allowed on this forum?
Well then. You can move forward and propose to ban all sig campaigns with spammy participants, the ones that encourage creating new accs and starting spam threads, or simply track the campaigns that accept shitposters. I believe that that will be the same campaighs that accept neg trusted members.
Imho the will to make this forum better is always good  but extra moderation is always a double edged sword that might make the forum less friendly. For now trust in general works like.... trust in real life, where if you know that the person is not trusted you are dealing with him at your own risk because he may brake his obligations. The same things is applied here (at least DT members are advertising the campaign in the negative way).
Imho the forum rules shouldn't be changed. At least untill we face some serious threat from DT members that I believe will never happen.
1048  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If the virtual currency does not have a payment function, what does it mean? on: March 10, 2018, 11:11:38 AM
If there is no payment function, what meaning does it have in addition to speculation?
When people say that Bitcoin can't be used as a payment method they usually talk about slow transactions and high fees. It doesn't mean that it realy can't be used as a payment method (just take a look at all those crypto cards and services like bitpay etc.), for now it is just less convinient then credit cards.

Why is the use of blockchain technology all talked about is not focused on the application of virtual currency in retail payment?
There is a pretty big amount of coins with instant transactions and almost zero fees but the whole community is keeping a close eye on bitcoin that implementing changes very slow. It doesn't mean that no one is focused on it. You just have to be patient because it is risky to change BTC related stuff.
1049  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading actually worth it? on: March 09, 2018, 11:15:40 PM
Seriously you won't find "pro traders" here. If you take a look at the long term then  Bitcoin is more likely to go up then fall down. Today BTC is way higher then it was a year ago and almost no one have any doubts that it will be way higher in the next year. That's like a long uptrend that makes it easier to get a profit and that is why so many people are thinking that they are good traders but in reality it looks more like a gambling then real trading.
Are "pro traders" making millions, or are they barely getting by and need to sell their signals and such?
In real trading pro traders are making about 20% annualy. That's the amount of earnings made by different hedge funds and investors like Warren Buffet etc. All those peopla and organisations are working day and night, hiring the best people, getting the best API and still not getting their x10000 income. It is naive to think that you will earn millions on trading by using your skills.
1050  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Any book I should read? on: March 09, 2018, 07:06:17 PM
First of all you should never trust books that promise to teach you how to make money. The only helpfull thing that you can take from the books is some kind of advice how to behave yourself and how to be rationsl. There are some more books that are popular among forex traders and probably could be easily downloaded from the web:
1.  "Disciplined trader" by Mark Douglas
2.  Multiple books about rationality by Dan Ariely.
3. "Thinking, Fast and Slow" and "Prospect theory" by Daniel Kahneman & Amos Tversky.
I hope it will be usefull for someone.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Live bitcoin sound alert on big transaction on: March 09, 2018, 04:49:05 PM
I wasn't lucky to catch the moment of this thing making an allert but tbh it sounds pretty useless for now. It will alarm even if some of the big holders will decide to mox his coins. In this case people will recieve a wrong alarm.  Such thing can be usefull for example if you find the addresses of crypto exchanges and try to use your feature only on them. Maybe it will help to track dump attempts.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is there an easy way to make sure your wallet is safe on your home PC? on: March 09, 2018, 03:28:01 PM
I'm not an expert in cyber security but Quantum claims to be a "cryptographic secure network". Bitcoin is also secure, no one hacked its blockchain yet. But when it comes you your home PC then everything is in your hands and any 3rd parties will hardly make it more secure. For better safety you can install Linux, that's gona be the most eficient move.
If you are going to save your keys to flash drive like lakimens offered then it is still not that safe. Sooner or later you will have to plug it in your PC and if it is compromised then you may lose your keys. In such cases it is better to use hardware wallets.
1053  Economy / Economics / Re: Proof bitcoin is NOT a bubble (w/hopefully laughs included) on: March 09, 2018, 10:55:09 AM
The name of the website tells us much about the prople that invest in those companies. Personaly I've got the biggest doubts about Tesla. That's the company that work for 15 years and still don't show any profits (and it happens with the huge amount of direct and indirect governmental subsides)! They still have big problems with manufacture and they don't pay dividents.  Their typical investor is an average houswife that don't know anything about this company and investing but she is sure that Tesla will moon. if someone is advicing you to buy this type of stocks then you should avoid this person at all costs.
It is a popular opinion that stock market is in a bubble right now (especially the mentioned companies). But all stock investors that I've seen are sure that it won't blow up for at least some more years. It looks like complete hypocrisy and ignorance when mature stock investors say that BTC will blow up soon.
1054  Economy / Economics / Re: Trump says U.S. to impose tariffs on steel, aluminum imports on: March 08, 2018, 10:59:42 PM
Well, it seems that I'm a bit late but let me put my 5 cents to your conversation.
Protectionism never worked, it spawned shortages, price inefficiencies, and nationalist tendencies that sparked wars.
I'm a dedicated follower of the free market but I would disagree with you here. China has built the entire automotive industry based on protectionism and it feels fine. Italy had to protect its textile industry by increasing the import taxes, otherwise it could be already dead. And you can fund much more examples of protectionism that worked. It will probably fail in a very long term bur in a short terms it might take its place (unfortunately we don't live in a single ancap society Sad ). Every case is unique.

P.S. US always had a huge amount of different regulations and restrictions but everythins was fine. This is far not the biggest problem of that country.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Agrees with Me? on: March 08, 2018, 10:09:57 PM
So I started noticing a pattern.
Everytime the market goes to the moon, the down trend lasts for a several weeks. Meaning, only when Bitcoin it's going to be at it's highest, the altcoins are going to be at the lowest point.
Then, the money from Bitcoin will start going to the Altcoins, making them going up even more.
Not necessary. Your observations are ignoring the volume of the coins.
Everything obviously can happen as you described but there are some more patterns. For example sometimes when Bitcoin is at its high it can remain almost at the same point for a long time but the volume will be way lower and at the same time altcoins will rise. Something like that happened when BTC has been coming to 20k point.
1056  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TA on BTC on: March 08, 2018, 08:28:26 PM
I am looking at the 4 hour chart, and we had a downtrend channel from the top around 18th dec
I'm just curious. How could you build a channel from 18 dec on 4hr chart?
Imho it is hart to say whats goint to happen next. I think that todays and especially yesterday's volume increases were something like a big dumps. I don't see the other obvious explanation because it happened too fast.
It is hard to say what is going to happen next because it might look like testing of 9300 support right now.
1057  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: exchanges with trading fees calculated not from the base currency? on: March 08, 2018, 07:29:59 PM
Emm, that doesn't make any sence. What's the difference between paying the fee in base currency and paying it in some other currency? If you sell 100 USD for BTC with 1% trading fee so if you sell 100$ worth of BTC you will still loose this 1$ worth of BTC. It btcome even more complicated when it comes about altcoins where the exchange will have to exchange this fee to the mystical "fee currency".
P.S. As i remember Kucoin also have the same feature that was described by lite.
1058  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptoexp.com on: March 08, 2018, 07:04:12 PM
