This (taking a break) was suggested to him many months back, but he refused to listen. Anyway, he is angry with the BCCI guys and now Ganguly and Shah doesn't want to antagonize him further. As of now, Kohli has at least 3-4 years of international cricket left with him. And maybe another 2-3 years of IPL after that. He remains as the Indian cricketer with the maximum market value. Others (Rohit, Bumrah, Shami.etc) are far behind. But sooner or later, he need to address the issue of his current poor form. Barcelona were one of the main contenders to win the EL, but Eintracht proved to be a worthy opponent. It was silly to expect the quarter-finals to be easy opponents, despite it's EL, but Barcelona really stood out from this 8. Well, it was a cold shower for Barça, because after the victory over Real Madrid they could feel a little arrogant on the field, now it’s worth recovering, moving on and preparing for the Champions League next season. As a Liverpool fan, I'm quite happy that we managed to get a draw yesterday. I felt City was dominating more, they had a few great chances that Alisson saved and had a goal disallowed for a marginal offside call.
We had great moments in the game but not through long periods so we didn't really deserve a better result.
City are a point ahead and do have an easier schedule but it isn't over yet. One slip will be really costly and I wouldn't be surprised if one team wins all remaining games.
however, Liverpool was lucky enough in that match because the draw still provided an opportunity to continue side by side with City. although I would have liked Liverpool to have won, a draw is not a bad thing. Liverpool didn't play badly either, they still played compact. it's just that City is superior in processing the ball. I hope in the next meeting Liverpool will get a win against City (FA Cup). I have re-watched Aljo vs Yan fight. What can I say, Aljo has outplayer or tricked everyone. His has made a vision, that he is not a real champ, but he took 1 year to prepare for this fight. He has taken 2-3 rounds. Yan took 4 and 5. The fate of the fight was decided in the first round. On one hand people would say that Yan was more aggressive, he was working as Nr1, he took centre of the ring, Aljo was always stepping back and defending. But if you watch closely, you would see that a lot of Yan strikes missed Aljo, Aljo did not get a damage and etc. This is not way to win a title, being more aggressive or active is not enough to win in such fights.
Yan can say that he was robbed, he was feeling pressure (as he wasnt allowed to carry Russian flag for example), he did not have his team in corner, come up with real or fictitious excuses. But the fact is, if you want to get a belt, you must win persuasively.
What I have heard is that Dana White is also a little disappointed to see the outcome of this fight and how the judges scored the fight. Barcelona are going to play a tough match against Frankfurt in the second leg. In the first leg, Frankfurt impressed everyone by a great performance. They could have even defeated Barcelona if it weren't for the red card. Barcelona will need to perform much greater than before to be able to advance to the semi finals. But there is a feeling like they can have a big problem again and the normal time of the match can end in a draw once more. Frankfurt still have a chance for advancing and they'd do their best.

West Ham are still one of my favourites for the Europa League title currently. However, they didn't get a very favourable result against Lyon home. It ended in a draw by 1-1 but they were still lucky to have this draw too. Because Lyon were in control completely in the second half later. And they would really have won this game too. But I still see West Ham a little closer to next round in the tournament now. Lyon are a solid team here too but I expect West Ham to make it to semi finals by beating them somehow.
West Ham still have a good chance to improve higher in this UEFA Europa league table because they really played well in their last match that ended up 1-1 draw with Lyon. West Ham team has learned from their mistakes from their last match that made them ended up draw with Lyon team, that made their coach to vowed never to allow his team to experience draw match before the end of this tournament. I believe West Ham team will definitely make it to semi Final because their coach is fully ready to use different strategies to defeat any team to qualify for semi final. West Ham has certainly played well this season to impress a lot of people and I think things are only going to be better from here on for them. They are still a great team and to be honest, I expected them to win their last match. But it's okay. In the Europa League, I think they have done quite well but they can still do better. they will face Lyon in the second leg and I think they should be able to win that match. |

It is a pity that Atletico Madrid lost today. They were in battle with Barcelona and Sevilla for 2nd place in the competition.
