Prediction: 340$ on bitstamp by tonight.

Why? We won't crash so much without fresh negative news.

You don't need 2 accounts to sell to yourself.
1043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2014, 11:28:28 AM
I'll laugh if the megawhale just starts dumping again.

I'll laugh if he starts buying.
1044  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Fleecing of Mt. Gox on: February 16, 2014, 02:48:48 PM
Crowd mentality is sometimes hard to guess, I'd say if they open transfers, people will buy back to be close to the average and then move to other exchanges. At least that's what I'd do. If they don't, price will continue falling, as people pefer to have $ not BTC in case this goes to court.

Gox will probably limit the BTC withdrawal amount.
1045  Economy / Speculation / Re: POLL: MtGox's Monday announcement pt2 on: February 16, 2014, 11:50:07 AM
It seems MtGox has started BTC withdrawals, but the transfer queue has been flooded with requests.

Or they just changed the text displaying after withdrawing. Anyone got their withdrawal proceeded?
1046  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lets pretend Gox gets fixed monday. Now what? on: February 15, 2014, 01:12:58 PM
Why would stamp be above gox if you can simply arbitrage the difference and move out of gox?
1047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Willy Observer on: February 15, 2014, 12:52:58 PM
I will quote my observations and thoughts from the other thread.

Why this bot is still selling at such a low price???

He probably has some insider info (gox has no coins?), otherwise he would be able to move coins to other exchange in a few days when withdrawals are fixed on gox.

I believe this is very important question to be answerd.  Cool

I wonder, if we are to repeat the same scenario as was in $32->$2? I wouldn't bet on that though. My buy orders end at about 480, which I think will be the bottom before the trend reverses.

Not worth risking $50 difference, you had today really nice chance.

Submarine still going its own way.

1053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 14, 2014, 09:40:12 AM
Goodbye. I'm about to be liquidated  Embarrassed

How you trade with leverage on gox?

With regard to Gox implementing withdrawals it seems there are developments and counter arguments in progress (if you're too lazy to leave this thread):

http://theblogchain.com/2014/02/14/breaking-mark-karpeles-posts-to-say-mtgox-is-implementing-a-solution/

I won't pretend to be a technical genius but the gist I'm getting from this is Gox are implementing a 'fix' which gmaxwell (I imagine speaking for the BTCdev team?) seems to think won't work.

Interesting Mark mentions LTC...perhaps he's hoping for a new revenue stream Cheesy Cheesy

What a scumbag move to suddenly mention ltc.

Here I can confirm your statement!!!
1055  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 14, 2014, 07:05:04 AM
Someone in a dumping mode on gox - 1.5k.
1056  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 14, 2014, 06:13:28 AM
So we got back to 625 and then someone puts up a wall there to make sure we go down again.
What is it with these people? When is it enough? Why the need to just take us down and then down some more? We'll be at 500 soon if this continues. Will people push it down from there on because there will be cheap coins at 300?
And the sheep in the meantime just keep selling because they think that will get their money back.
Really, when is it enough?

All the bears here, is this what you wanted? Are you extremely happy now? Or do we have to go down further? Are you people even buying coins or do you just enjoy the market crashing and everybody losing money?

I just don't understand the logic of constantly pushing down.

You don't understand psychology also.

The Gox announcement was bad, but the transaction malleability DDOS was much worse and left a smaller dent. Without another disaster, the worst is behind us. If we follow the pattern of earlier rallies, and corrections, we slowly build upward momentum from here, but nothing parabolic for a while.

I don't believe, volume was very low below $600.

No, it wasn't, but it sure as hell was this time and it's still going up. who's gonna panic sell now that hasn't sold already? Who's gonna dump now except for profit takers? The only thing that would bring us back down is more bad news and it would have to be more than FUD.

There was 5k below $600, less than 1k below $550. Not a lot. I was arquing upward momentum, not much more dumping. Also there was not a lot of people awake in EU (middle of the night).
1058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 14, 2014, 05:23:11 AM
Less than 1.5k BTC bids down to $550. Anything can happen.

Bitstamp and BTC-e haven't moved, while gox hit $300. I can't buy until coinbase goes down

It's not gonna. That's why we need a real exchange in America. Fast drops and fast pops, Coinbase lags and you never get the best price.

You guys have coinsetter.  Doesn't it have an API to BSP?

I need something with more volume.  A big, professional exchange.

If it has an API to stamp and order execution on stamp that's all you need.  Unless you are looking for NASDAQ?

I'll check it out, but I'm still concerned that Stamp is in Slovenia and New York has the regulation issue up in the air. Coinbase has $31 million behind it, and even though their prices and fees suck, but they seem more reliable for now.

Plenty of fear left, but the panic is over. I''m no TA expert, but without more bad news, it seems like the double bottom is in.

Bitstamp made or will make much more than $31M in fees and oves noone anything.
