1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: April 04, 2022, 03:20:44 PM
FIFA World cup 2022 will be interesting. It will be like a thug of war. Just that my favourite club, Nigerian
Super Eagle has been nocked out in the Qatar qualifiers stage. But i am still hoping to support another club (Country) in the tournament. Preferably, African club, but what I am afraid of is the referees. World cup referees are not friendly with the African Teams. That not withstanding, fair play can bring out the best in the world cup. European clubs, Asian clubs and African clubs are my prediction to win the world cup.

On your own prediction, whom do you think will win the tournament and carry the Golden Cup? Remember every country's plan is to win the world cup tournament but not every team will win and the three (3) best will be selected. And that should be:

1st winner
2nd winner and
3rd Winner.

Say your mind.
I think Brazil and Portugal will be favourite however Senegal has an amazing team as well. But this is very fast game. Anything can be happened anytime of the match. But I am going to bet on Portugal for sure
1042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Oscar Awards 2022 betting thread on: April 04, 2022, 03:13:59 PM

In any case, my best picture of 2021 would be Coda, best actor would be Tyrion Lannister hehe, best actress would be Emilia Jones and best director would Denis Villenueve.

Excellent, I think that would also be my favorite and the winner, although for this the ending was not up to par, I think the writers did not know how to take advantage of the goose that lays the golden eggs, and this time everything got out of control, personally I am one of the people who was most upset after seeing that, the chapter that I liked the most was the famous one: "Not today", finally since you name it, do you know if the book was already released? I would like to know the end well, the true end.

Does anyone already know what Will Smith's sanction is?
Those who placed a bet on Coda has a real insight into the event. Also many people were talking about Will Smith and he won - but what he did was not liked and admired by the people many people believe that this is scripted what do you think about it?
1043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is the "Draw No Bet" not found on most sportsbook on: April 04, 2022, 03:10:23 PM

You did not understood me at all. I said going for a team to win, or draw have high odds, but the chance to win it is lower than comparing it to win or draw. But in this regard, the chance to make money is almost the same or as the bet odd is reducing, bettor will want to accumulate more which makes it more risky. I am not saying low odds is better than high odds or that you will make money if choosing low odds than high odds, gambling is even not like that for good gamblers. Accumulation is risky, people that go for low odds do accumulate.

Low odds will not give you any advantage, it is a losing strategy. Draw is a tough bet because it means you have to predict the outcome from three possible outcomes. I like it better when the probability of an outcome is limited to two outcomes, and a draw is unlikely, or completely excluded. It could be tennis, box, ufc or basketball.
Agreed low odd doesn't give any advantage and there is less excitement in that as well.
but many gambling site so give the option of draw. Every site has their rules but in general less sports have the options to draw. and most of the bets are made on football matches.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: April 04, 2022, 03:04:00 PM

Then it will be a shame if we are going to witnessed a robbery if Murata is declared a winner even if GGG should be the one to win that fight. But let's see, I think GGG will try to finished the fight early and will go for the knock out so that there will be no home town decision advantage for Murata and not give any chance for the judges to change the outcome of the fight and derail his third fight with Alvarez.
There have been lots of discussing going on for GGG and Murata fight - the dates are approaching and boxing fans are excited for the match. I hope the match will be fair and the best contestant will win the match. Looking fwd to the great fight coming a head.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [BOXING]: RYAN GARCIA vs EMMANUEL TAGOE - April 9 on: April 04, 2022, 03:00:56 PM

It's not that bad to bet a small generous amount on Tagoe winning against Ryan Garcia but for me, I couldn't get myself to bet on that. I mean we already know that it's just a trap that the bookies are trying to set because they know that the Tagoe's chances are only slim and that's why they are making that odds so tempting.

If they go all in, I'm afraid that they will be regretting that decision they made big time!
Rayan is young he has amazing speed and has amazing punching style. One the other hand Tagoe is not a weak link. The dates are approaching let's see who wins the match. Looking fwd to it.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: April 04, 2022, 02:57:25 PM
Personally, I think Portugal and especially Ronaldo reached their peak at the last World Cup 2018.
In these World Cup qualifiers, it was clear that Portugal was no longer so dominant, and they even lost in the fight for first place in their qualifying group to Serbia at home.
Ronaldo is also no longer as dominant a player as he was a few years ago.
Brazil has not been a world champion for 20 years so I don’t understand what kind of experience we are talking about here.
For me personally, Brazil is not the main favorite for the title but France and Spain.
Sure, Ronaldo is aging, but he can still be a huge factor, especially in a tournament like this. Portugal was beaten by Serbia in the qualification, but it was a close race for the top, it could have ended the other way easily.

Looking at the current odds, bookmakers have Brazil @6.0 and then France and England at @6.5, so this is a ~40% chance that one of those 3 will get the title.
Brazil will be my choice even though the odd given to Brazil is small it call for great concern because of the Ronaldo fracture this and many more other things to consider before betting
I will put my bet on Portugal - they have amazing team and they have an amazing spirit.
But Brazil is also a good option to bet on. As mentioned above Ronaldo is again but his son will be ready to enter the field so we will a young Ronaldo in coming days.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: GGG vs Murata - Reschedule on: April 04, 2022, 02:54:18 PM

But for those who doubt GGG, why not bet a few dollars if you think Murata is worthy as that specific bet could be big in return if indeed by chances Murata will defeat GGG.

Don't worry mate, I will put at least $1 for Murata to win. LOL.
Kidding aside mate, I think GGG is really a strong fighter and Murata will not match his strength.

I hope I'm wrong because somehow I would like to see a very close fight, but I could not lie, I don't really see a chance that Murata will pull an upset here.
Let's check the odds here - https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/boxing/international/international-matchups/golovkin-gennady-vs-murata-ryota-6221cfea8596ecda93a74ec7
Who is going to bet on GGG and who is going bet on Murata.
I am going bet on GGG, the date is approaching as well. Let see who wins.

1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: April 04, 2022, 09:48:09 AM
Australia lost there 9th wicket on 166 it was Sean Abbott 49 on 40 balls that helped them crossing 200. Australia team were not playing with there major bowlers like starc, Hazlewood and Cummins. That's another plus for Pakistan. Australia will conclude this historic tour on 5th April by playing the only T20I.

Australia was one of the first teams to implement the player rotation policy. This time they went with a bunch of inexperienced players (Nathan Ellis, Jason Behrendorff, Ben McDermott.etc), and still managed to perform. However in the 3rd ODI things didn't worked as per the plan. Both the opening batsmen (Travis Head and Aaron Finch) were back in pavilion before they managed to score the first run. When Marnus Labuschagne got out, the score was 6/3 after 5 overs. And from there, things went downhill for Australia.
Apart from everything - I can say one thing - Australia helped revive international cricket in Pakistan. People of Pakistan are great fans of cricket. And having an international cricket in Pakistan is a victory in itself. People were happy and all is well when there is joy all around.
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 02, 2022, 11:41:27 PM

Today's match was so easy for Pakistan to win. They lost only 1 wicket and they played well. Performance of Pakistan team is impressive and I think they will continue it. Specially, Babar Azam is in his best form at this time.

Babar Azam aka Mughal e Azam is doing so good these days. As a captain he has scored most centuries for Pakistan in ODIs now. Today's game is totally one sided, Pakistan could have bowled out Australia easily around 170 but superb knock by Abbott at the very last moment helped Australia climbing 200 Mark.
There is only T20I left which will be played on 5th April.
Aussie looked drained today. They were not in their best today. However Babar Azam and Inam Ul Haq did well. I liked Inam Ul Haq reply at the end when the anchor said - its the criticism which brings best in you - so you must be criticized to perform your best. He said No, this is not what I said. He speaks good English!

If you see Pakistan is playing outstanding game at this stage. They are playing really great against any opponent. If I talk about Babar Azam, he is beauty and unstoppable. I think he will get another century today. Easy win for Pakistan team.
Babar Azam scored his second consecutive century and third consecutive 50 plus score and took Pakistan to a series win and he is the man of the series as well as the man of the match. But all the credits goes to the Pakistan bowlers who were able to trouble the Australian batting line up from the start and did not give any room to build any partnership and restricted them for a small total of 210 runs.

Australia lost there 9th wicket on 166 it was Sean Abbott 49 on 40 balls that helped them crossing 200. Australia team were not playing with there major bowlers like starc, Hazlewood and Cummins. Babar Azam must be very happy on receiving that red Car. It looked so amazing.
This win showed that Pakistani team is capable of anything if they are determined and work the right way. I was amazed to see even all Aussie were so serious when Pakistan needed one run to win the match- that is the power of self confidence. Well played both teams!
1053  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: April 02, 2022, 11:34:38 PM
There are two main differences between regular hackers and ethical or white hat hackers, the first one is the intent, hackers trying to find vulnerabilities in a system do so in order to gain something from it, whether that is information or money is irrelevant to the discussion at hand, while white hat hackers do so in order to help to improve the security of the company behind that website, the second difference is the permission, for example Facebook has been hacked many times in the past and as such their users have lost their privacy, information and money in the process, however an ethical hacker participates in bounty programs offered by Facebook and as such they have permission to try to break into their website, report if they find something and receive a bounty reward for their efforts.
wow - you really brought forth great reply also with the explanation.
Also the white hat hackers are contacted by the companies to help the regain the control of their website. How smart would they look doing the work. I wish I could meet some white hat hackers in real life too.

Maybe, you already know one, but not disclosing his identity. White hackers are everywhere. And I do commend them from not being tempted to screw-up vulnerable sites for their own interest. Usually, they will tap the company if they find vulnerabilities of the site that may possibly lose their vital info or even funds. Whereas, the bad hackers won't give you any warning, they will just empty your coffer if needed.
Great info shared. But I will make my research on who are famous white hat hackers. But this is certainly right that they are smart and the know how to get a company and person out of trouble. Many celebrates contact the white hat hackers to get their account back from hackers and they search for ethical hackers.

1055  Economy / Gambling / Re: Vulnerabilities in gambling websites in past on: March 28, 2022, 11:59:49 AM
There are many white hat hackers, after all what better way to learn how to secure a website than by trying to break into it? The difference is that white hat hackers instead of gaining illegal access and stealing what they can they could ask for a bounty in the case they find a critical vulnerability for the website, now without a doubt it is a really difficult profession as the level of skill and knowledge needed to make any money as a white hat hacker is huge, but it is worth it, as bounties can easily reach five or even six figures.
The job of a white hat hacker is to exposed to their client all of the noticed loopholes/vulnerabilities of the system. They break the system so they can implement better security for the system, it is also a process for securing a system/website.
I am not sure if white hat hackers are exactly the same with bounty hunters, but I guess they are not though they are very related to each other.
Is this process called ethical hacking as well? What is the difference between white hat hackers and the hackers? Can someone enlighten me what kind of hacking is legal and what is not. Hacking is the process of getting into someone region without permission so what is white hat hacking and hacking?

Beautifully explained. I read it twice. Thank you for your detailed explanation. That is one of the reason I keep coming this forum to increase my knowledge and get to know apt answer of what the other member have asked about. Hacking no doubt has always got my attention. But knowing more about it excites me.
1056  Economy / Gambling / Re: Would you support a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms? on: March 28, 2022, 07:55:46 AM
Are there a lot of Russian gambling platforms, that everyone wants to boycott? Those who want to do it, do you even gamble there? Or you just want to boycott something you dont use? Funny. I think mostly Russians are the only one who gamble there. Maybe someone from neighbour countries use them. But not many people abroad Russia, gamble there.  There are so many gambling platforms nowadays, than no one will even noticed that part of them are being under boycott.
It is for sure - war is not only the physical damage, it is more of the psychological damage as well. The affect are lasting. I am not sure if boycott will place any burden on the Russian government. If the world is planning any sanctions on Russia - than no doubt Russia is a powerful state too. They have their plans of action too. So all the boycotts will go unnoticed.

The BCCI is earning billions of USD as a result of media rights, sponsorship and gate collection. But that is not the case with some of the franchises. Many of them are still in loss. Anyway, the owners of these franchises are politicians, businessmen or film actors with no direct connection to cricket. They care only about money and therefore it is not very surprising to hear about occurrences of match fixing within the IPL. On top of that, illegal betting is a big curse in cricket and the decision to hold some of the IPL editions in UAE only added fuel to the fire.
lets have a clarity on this aspect, BCCI sells the media rights but the revenue is shared between the teams and it depends upon how many on air time they get which means the more games you play more the revenue and the revenue from media alone per season is 3,269 crore as per the reports.

Then there is brand sponsorship per team, then there is title sponsorship revenue and that is also shared between the teams and if you look at all the franchise teams everyone is in huge profits simply because of the high broadcasting revenue they are getting. So the idea of team owners participating in fixing is just ridiculous when they are earning the profit.

But the thing is, a little more money cannot hurt anyone, right? And that seems to be the motto for a lot of people in this world.

Even though it's a lot of money it's still not enough for a lot of people. Any fixing is absolutely wrong, especially it is most unexpected in a league where the money is so much, but the truth is more money attracts more problems..

Money game is a dirty game. But then again we cannot deny that there is so much money involved in IPL, one of the reasons IND is a big country and there are many states and lots of team and lots of foreigner player. ICC has also placed halt on many other activities since IPL is happening. Ofcourse it is a big industry. Lots and lots of money!
1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gender bias in gambling. on: March 28, 2022, 07:29:58 AM
You have to realize that gambling is a business and they are only after the money and nothing more. So, if it is only men that are gambling in casinos, then people would focus on that to make more money. If you have 98% men in your casino and 2%, would you do equal ads or whatever? No, you would put in some semi-naked chicks to attract men more and more, that is how you make money.

Because at the end of the day, if it meant that 98% was women, they would put men with no shirts on and with abs, they do not care about what they do, they only care about who they are doing it to and how much money it would mean back to them and that is the profitable version for them.
Gambling is not legal in many culture and countries - having a label of gambler is serious taboo in our society. It is not much appreciated and admired in our law, culture and society. Anyone found gambling will be in trouble, hence be it male or female, in our society the gambler would face a serious trouble.

1060  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: March 28, 2022, 07:19:06 AM
Man I saw DC wanted some 60 odd runs from 30 balls and that also with just 4 wickets in hand and Lalit and Axar on the crease, if it would have been Russel or some other power hitter I still would have said that batting team does have a chance but with Axar on strike not for a single moment I thought DC could win this match but IPL is certainly uncertain, you see Axar hitting the best shots of his career and Lalit what a star performance by him too, the best bowling attack or IPL was nowhere in the game.

Axar Patel and Lalit's superb batting helped Delhi win, no doubt. But I am looking for the reason for Mumbai's defeat. There was enough collection to win 18 runs. I expected better bowling from Bumrah in this match. Because he is a very experienced bowler. So the expectations of the team and the fans were definitely higher than him. But his bowling was disgusting. If he could have bowled a bit more controlled, Mumbai could have won today.

I think it was just only the first match of the IPL for the team so in the upcoming matches, they will perform better and obviously not going to choke on certain situations. But obviously, these are the moments that are going to help them get better at the game. And it also seems like this IPL is not going to be a good one for the bowlers because no amount of runs is enough to be safe.
Here Pakistan Cricket board has announded the Pakistan Women Cricket team as well and upcoming series - Bisma Altaf will remain captain and the team will visit China while  NZ and Netherlands team will be visiting Pakistan for Women Cricket series. A great new for revival of cricket in subcontinet
