Manchester city and Arsenal locks horn again in this magnificent encounter in the Fa cup. Honestly I am not hyped about this match.

Well I have my money on Arsenal in this match I honestly feel they want it more than Manchester City and they have all it takes to get it.
1042  Economy / Economics / Re: China Digital yuan vs US dollars on: January 27, 2023, 07:44:58 PM
Slowly China Are fast becoming independent on the US dollars. And this progress from them would always continue. And not only China many countries Are valuing their currency locally and in local trades than any other countries currency.

But the hard truth is that US dollars still comes ahead of any other currency on the list of ratings and rankings that’s for sure.
1043  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: If you think 21,000,000 BTC is not enough for everyone then you are wrong! on: January 27, 2023, 07:19:54 PM
I am not saying that 21 million Bitcoin is small but what I am saying is that we fail to note that it’s no longer going to be 21 million bitcoin any more let’s say when all available bitcoin has been mined.

There are many bitcoin lost in time. Probably careless or natural causes of death and the owner not passing the wallet down to anyone. Of potentials with get to the peak of bitcoin era then I believe the amount of Bitcoin available would be reviewed.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - Lending Collateral on: January 26, 2023, 09:00:01 PM
Can anyone have a good explanation here of borrowing using collateral versus not borrowing and using the collateral instead for the exchange of other assets?
People borrow from DeFi lending pools because they don't want to sell their assets. There are several reasons why someone might choose to do this. Some examples:

  • Someone might need liquidity but doesn't want to sell their assets because they believe the value of the asset will increase in the future and they want to maintain their exposure to that asset.
  • Someone might want to create a leveraged position using margin. For example, if they believe that the price of ETH will increase, they can borrow USDC using their ETH as collateral and use that borrowed USDC to purchase more ETH, creating a leveraged long position on ETH.
  • This can also work in the opposite way, where someone uses USDC as collateral to borrow ETH and then sells the borrowed ETH, creating a leveraged short position on ETH.

This way they can create net short or long position on the asset with some leverage. Worth noting that this is a high-risk activity and should be done with caution, as leveraged positions can lead to significant losses if the market moves against you.
This is a wise explanation I must say but it goes against my personal rules of investing, I can have funds no matter the currency or crypto-currency the funds is in and then go out using it as a collateral to collect something else.

If you actually believe in a particular coin let’s say Ethereum and not willing to let it go for your own personal reason then you should also be strong enough to resist the urge of getting another coin for any reason what so ever.
1045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin is imagined as a Crush Queen on: January 26, 2023, 08:34:03 PM
I don’t understand what crush queen is, is it a movie or something? Regardless I think this type of post can make most newbies not fully understand what Bitcoin is all about.

I don’t think decorating bitcoin with sweet name is helpful for its adoption because it won’t reach out to critical thinkers. Try to be very raw and direct about bitcoin and Crypto-currency. Touch the benefits and yes the dangers too.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 26, 2023, 07:42:30 PM
Who else thinks that Marcos Rashford is in line to be the best player in the world if it was going to be judge from first of January. He has been in smoking form and has even made Manchester United season come alive.

I believe that the would win the carabao cup but it won’t be easy because Newcastle has also been in great form this season.
1047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CEX deserves all criticism but not the hate on: January 25, 2023, 07:08:37 PM
There is no convincing me that CEX centralized exchange hasn’t been bad for Crypto-currency, we has seen how centralized exchanges has affect the ecosystem in ways that are right now not redeemable.

I am not sure of the year but there was a year centralized exchanges were locking up people’s funds without any concrete reasons and government of countries who are against Crypto-currency where using centralized exchange as a pivotal point to get Crypto-currency enthusiast.
1048  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What could make you start using a new crypto wallet today? on: January 24, 2023, 08:01:20 PM
I have placed one rule for myself and that is Crypto-currency is not a random testing sector where you come to test all options available to you.

Basically the main function of a wallet to me is security and that’s keeping your coin safe. Everything apart from this are secondary to me, I have been using my wallet for a while now and no complains from me so I see nothing making me change unless I need a particular coin and it’s not available on my present wallet.
1049  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Self kidnap business on: January 22, 2023, 08:53:14 PM
I won’t blame or use poverty as an excuse for someone who intentionally plans their own abduction/Kidnap for them to be able to get money of their loved once.

Kidnapping is a hot topic here even now that many Kidnappers are putting or making use of crypto-Currency as a medium of transactions.  Self kidnapping is a selfish avenue and I think it’s should be given same sentencing as a real deal kidnapping.
1050  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Where did it all go wrong on: January 22, 2023, 07:48:42 PM
First I would ask on what platform were the scammers chatting your friend from? A high percentage of this scams are either from telegram, YouTube or twitter. And the more your friend is on many groups and can even be on a scammer group that claims to provide him trades or help him invest.

It’s not necessarily the scammers that made way with you friends initial money it’s probably another Scammer who already understands everything and his/her specialty is picking up the victim.

I would advice you to tell you friend to be careful on social media and cut out from suspicious groups and also arrange his privacy and security settings so no one can add your friend into any group.
1051  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 22, 2023, 07:22:36 PM
Big congratulations to Arsenal, as every match goes by they prove that this season’s English Premier League is theirs for the taking. They have steadily become a team to fear and the fighting spirit is very unpredictable.

Manchester United did not do badly themselves but today Arsenal weren’t going home with anything less than a win. Saka is becoming one of the best players in the league now and Arsenal needs to consider/review his salary before a bigger team steals him away.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Australia launches stablecoin on: January 22, 2023, 06:03:19 PM
My country launched their stablecoin around last year but I haven’t seen any thing that has failed as how that very stablecoin failed, a country that is arresting and seizing asset of its citizens that withdrawals crypto-currency to Fiat can’t expect anything positive to come out from their stablecoin.

In as much as there hasn’t been much news on Australia hate on crypto-currency I still think that any country trying to create their own coin stablecoin or not may have some other motive to it.
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH & DOT on: January 21, 2023, 09:46:45 PM
I taught Polkadot would be blown away with time, but the coin has been around and holding its ground for a while now. Although the strength of Polkadot has reduced from the energy it started with.

Every time I would always choose Ethereum over any other coin because of Its market record and history, and with the bull run coming Ethereum is the most likely Altcoin to feel the positive impact.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 21, 2023, 08:08:54 PM
Chelsea are spending so much but they aren’t seeing value for what they are spending, and I actually gave them the Hands over Liverpool and actually expected them to come out tops.

It wasn’t an easy game and it was kind of a boring game if your asked me. Both teams are having difficult times and both teams are spending good money but no result.
1055  Economy / Economics / Re: US hits debt ceiling, prompting Treasury to take extraordinary measures on: January 21, 2023, 07:25:54 PM
I am not a citizen on the United state of America but they are amongst the world power and almost all eye are on them. From my knowledge to better understand a country in terms of security, economy and other issues with country it’s best to see it from a residential perspective.

But from the development and the issues with the United state of America since President Joe Biden took over, there hasn’t been anything spectacular recorded. I understand the world is sitting on a possible economical collapse but the United state of America is a country other countries looks up to.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Is The level of impact of FTX crash on Your portfolio? on: January 20, 2023, 08:32:33 PM
This is 2023 this sort of question is unnecessary, the FTX drama happened around last year and at that time it real affected many people and definitely causes mental depression and financial set backs.

This is a new year I think those whose portfolio are trying to move over it. So revisiting it by asking such questions aren’t necessary but you can try to find out what we learnt from it.
1057  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It's a shame people still falling for this on: January 20, 2023, 08:17:39 PM
I would be very surprised if anyone is still falling for this sort of crime today. This scheme is very cheap and everyone should have heard about it by now.

One of the most effective way of not falling for this sort of scam is keep you private telegram or social media safe and not mixed with your work version and also be less greedy .
1058  Economy / Economics / Re: Biggest problems with Banks stablecoins can solve this on: January 20, 2023, 07:19:22 PM
Well just as you are aware of this simpler method of send asset across countries using Cryptocurrency not everyone knows about this method, and just like you I have had issues receiving Foreign currency into my local domiciliary account.

Receiving funds from outside my countries take longer time and some times I may be required at the bank for some clarification but it’s extremely simple using USDT.
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: January 20, 2023, 04:51:30 PM
Unbelievable come back from Manchester City last night as they went down 2 goals to nil in the first half against Tottenham hotspurs but they still had the courage to rise up in the second half to defeat Tottenham 4-2 full time.

If the win their next game that would mean Arsenal just has  2 point advantage over them and the champions of the English Premier League door is swung open again.
1060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this asset or security on: January 19, 2023, 08:27:02 PM
Well it depends on your perspective, XRP is a tradable coin and also has good market value making it an asset for some people. It is also a security based coin due to its origins.

I have seen some privacy based coin that even allows it’s users send anonymous transactions and still And asset that aren’t Doing badly in the market
