1041  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time for me to buy on: June 09, 2022, 06:18:04 PM
Makes more sense to buy with the price giving more BTC per dollar then buying at double the prices and receiving half as much.   There is so much momentum from recent rises encouraging further buying but when its quite possible to price to pullback as it has done the better plan is quite simply to buy low which is now.  If we went another 10k lower it doesnt mean its negative to buy now, its only traders who have to think like that.
I agree that timing may not be perfect, and I agree that we do not know when the price would go up or down, but I think that the price will go up eventually so why not buy right now. That is the part that matters the most, I know that you said it, and I agree with it, if we know that the price will be higher than 30k, why not buy right now and make a profit like this.

I personally would love to feel something a bit more better, and I feel like this is the moment we should be doing that exactly. This doesn't mean that we should be making absolutely nothing at all, it just means that we should be feeling a bit more at ease with each purchase knowing that it will be doing better.
1042  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: June 09, 2022, 05:18:54 PM
Whether it is legalised or not, people will continue to use it. War have made it even popular and both the countries involved in the war benefitted out of cryptocurrency. This has gradually made bitcoin to be legal in Ukraine and under regulated assets in Russia. Moreover when the war ends, we'll come to know the real thoughts of the government. Today Russia have made a statement that they never mind of the extending the NATO adding Sweden. So, it looks like soon the war comes to an end.
It is "good" for crypto for sure, but that is not really a good thing because it is based on a war itself. I have to say that I would rather have crypto not accepted in both nations, even banned and illegal to even own a single satoshi in both of them, over having a war.

When you do not have crypto legal, that is a bad thing but it would be annoyance and nothing more, but when you have a war that means there are many innocent people who are killed by soldiers, how could that be even similar. Hence, the best thing here is that crypto should be getting people even better lives, and since the war is there anyway, it is better to have it accepted at least.
1043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Potential to Drop in the $32k Area on: June 09, 2022, 02:50:36 AM
^^ It did drop, but we have recovered already at $30,730 based on preev.com. Anyhow,$32k-$35k might be the biggest psychological barrier right now, and with the way the market is moving, with a slight negative news that is not even related to bitcoin affects us (like the Binance investigation), the market will suddenly go down. So hopefully we could just be in the $30k range and trade sideways, I will be happy about that instead of the $24k-$25k drop that others have been predicting.
Making a recovery is the main reason why bitcoin has so much trust by other people as well. You have to understand that crypto is not a thing that will make sense to many people, there are tons of ups and downs that would be a lot of problems for people who do not understand the market. They see it go from 31k to 30k and they are fearing that the price will keep on crashing, then it recovers and they are shocked how quickly it went down and then went up.

I have to say that the best thing about crypto is the fact that you could make so much profit with it, if you know what you are doing and you have a little bit of patience to go along with it, instead of fearing each time it drops.
1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: June 09, 2022, 02:14:31 AM
If the fight will be happen Inoue vs Butler, I'd say Inoue will won via KO again since Butler is weaker than Donaire. Honestly I'm surprised Donaire loss via KO on the second round, I thought he will loss above 9 rounds via KO or UD.
Donaire should retire after this fight. I do not know if people would love to watch him in a fight or not, but for his own health he should retire. What you need to understand is that even if you are a sports person, when you are 39 years old, your body is not holding up together like it did back in your 20's, meaning that every punch has a lasting affect more than usual.

It could even be deadly if you fight until you are way too hold. Sure there are some people who boxed when they were 40+ years old, but most of those fights were either against other old people, or against people who would not be serious threat to them. Hell Tyson "boxed" recently in an exhibition match for example, Donaire could do that, but no title fights for him ever again, it is too risky.
1045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: June 08, 2022, 08:32:46 PM
Talking about book markers, I doubt if their predictions will have any impact on the out come of the game, England have a very strong and solid team with lots of young talented stars and also they have matured experience players who I think will be feet to play the game but the Italy side is rebuilding now since they didn't qualify for World Cup so I think the game is going to be difficult for England to win. Italy will come out to attach knowing that Harry Maguire may appear in the defense line so I think the game will end in a draw because Italy will likely go back If they can not get a goal in the first half.
I do not know, eventually England needs to realize that they have a very tough schedule left. Italy could be a bit of an easy one looking at their world cup situation, but at the same time not like they are going to come home empty handed all over again after such a disgraced result so they will play the best they could.

Maybe it will be great, maybe it won't be great, I do not know but I know for a fact that they will fight until the last second to win. It is going to be quite a good result and it will be fun to watch as well when both teams have so much to lose from a single game, the other game could be a loss, but this needs to be a win for sure for both of them.
1046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season - Finals on: June 08, 2022, 08:05:42 PM
I am not a Celtics fan but the game in Boston, in their arena 'Garden', makes me excited. It is like almost always excited to watch a playoff game in that arena, especially NBA Finals. I usually think in series like this, it is maybe the most important game of 7 games is the game three. The winner of game three always getting quite advantageous in my opinion. This game is also very important for the series. Celtics need a lot on the offensive side but with their home crowd probably as electrified as possible, they might get that extra push they need. They might be getting more from Marcus Smart, Derrick White, Grant Williams, Al Harford. But one thing is for sure, gonna be a great game.
It is obvious that Garden has a big impact on the players, but it is not really against Celtics or anything. By that logic Madison Square should be the same way, it is one of the best atmospheres to play as a basketball player, but Knicks has been bad for decades, and with such ownership will stay horrible for a long time as well.

So, I believe if Warriors lose, it will not be based on Garden alone, they are just not consistent all that much, Celtics are not neither. Like look at Heat series, they won one, lost one, and kept up like that, because they were inconsistent on their defense and offense together, could say the same thing so far this series as well.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 08, 2022, 06:12:08 PM
I think not really bad with Gabriel Jesus replace Karim Benzema because Gabriel played well for Manchester City but less contribution in this season, but still have different level between Gabriel Jesus with Karim Benzema, right now not any new forward have good level than Gabriel Jesus for Real Madrid but looks Carlo Ancelotti not have priority with Gabriel Jesus on this window transfer time. Real Madrid keep priority with Karim Benzema after impressive performance last season and become top scorer for Real Madrid on La Liga.
Maybe they can play together? Benzema is not a guy that aims at scoring at all times, he was leading assists in la liga as well, meaning that he is capable of passing whenever needed. I do not know how they could do that, but have vini on the left, and Benzema and Jesus upfront and maybe rodrygo on the right and you could definitely see some improvements. Not going to be simple to make them play together, but it could be done.

I still think that they do not need a young star, but if they want to, they could also make him a sub as well, Benzema can't play every game, he is old now, so they will use Benzema when they can, and sub him with Jesus when Benzema can't play.
1048  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The Legendary Forumla of Dip = Opportunity on: June 08, 2022, 05:32:54 PM
Often the faith in the future of bitcoin is not solid for traders whose entry was in a hurry, trying to catch the sudden profit. During such times they sell at a loss. This is why experience in other speculative markets and dummy trading in the past is needed to prepare a seasoned trader.
Traders may not feel the same way, because traders are not after making a quick buck, they are after making a huge profit and that is why they are not seeing this return. However, if we are talking about long term investors, they see a lot better in the future of crypto and that is why they believe that the investment you make right now, should be fine because we believe it will be higher eventually anyway.

If you are willing to hold bitcoin for 5 years versus max 5 days, then you will know the difference. So this dip, is a miracle for some people, miracle that they didn't believe it would happen and that is why it is loved by many so much.
1049  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Cryptocurrency for 1 Week! on: June 08, 2022, 01:05:24 PM
I tried to watch the video but it was 22 minutes long so I skipped parts and watched it. It looks like he was trading for some $1 profit on each trade which is not bad at all since the trade size was $11-$12 but the fact he was just buying waiting for the price to rise and sell, it looked more like random trading instead of trading with knowledge and tools.

I didn't see any sponsored content or anything, at least not as I was skipping most parts of the long long video so it certainly wasn't a paid or promotional video and neither is he a big YouTuber that he would be paid for such things. It looked like an honest attempt at trading and making profits but I am sure OP would have faced couple of losses by now and realized it's not as straightforward as he might have thought initially.
Honestly, if someone could turn such a small amount into something valuable, that would have been awesome, but it is not a long term solution at all. I always thought about doing something similar, like shoot videos of 1 hour size, where I trade, and I do not have to keep it a live video, meaning I could have like 10 times a day where I try to do 1 hour of trading, and whichever one I made the most profit, I will publish that.

Each and everyday that would be done to show how I could profit. When in reality, behind the scenes, I had 9 other tries where I may have lost some money. This could be done, and I am not doing it because it is unethical.
1050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA Finals 2022 - Warriors vs Celtics. on: June 06, 2022, 09:39:25 PM
Seeing all the players are rotating to help one another, hope they will bring that mentality inside the Boston garden.
Their defense will always be there and the Celtics will not be able to limit Curry as they were not able to do it against Butler in the ECF. It's a big challenge for the Celtics because if Curry will have a good shooting night, that will bring energy to the team and they will gain confidence, that's why they are very scary as an opponent.
So far during the playoffs, Celtics defense was the decider for them, they played amazing defense one game, horrible defense another game for example and that decided their wins and losses. This time around, it is the opposite where the defense of Warriors make the decision.

You could end up with Warriors playing great defense to keep Celtics at 88, or you could have Warriors that play terrible defense and let Celtics score 120. We do not know what we are going to see rest of the series, will it be a warriors that play amazing defense, or will it be warriors that play horrible defense. Based on that, we are going to see the result of the finals.
1051  Economy / Economics / Re: Where to invest everything looking bearish on: June 06, 2022, 08:20:38 PM
Investing in crypto doesn't always make a profit and sometimes it is a loss,
especially considering the current market conditions which is not an easy thing to make a decision,
the most important thing is to keep trying and the more we have more experience it will also make us better
That is only viable if we are talking about a situation where you will get a loss and then sell it instead of keep holding it. This market doesn't mean a loss for the people who are still holding, if you buy at 50k and it drops to 30k and then goes to 60k and that's when you sell, you just made a 10k profit, so as you can see even after a drop that doesn't mean it has to be a loss.

But, if you buy at 50k and sell at 49k right away, even that would be a loss. This is why I always say that if it is bitcoin that you bought, then do not sell it for a loss ever no matter what is going on, always try to have more and more because that is how you make a profit.
There are tons of people who do leverage trading, margins, futures basically, and there are tons of people who use stop loss as well, and not like just 3% or something, people who used 50% and still lost, and there were tons of people who invested into Luna, a project with a stablecoin in the top 10.

So, even though if we are talking about just spot buying bitcoin and holding without stop loss, for many years, even decades, then you are right, but there are many people who approach this asset with a higher risk and reward ratio that ended up losing money as well. So you are right about your own approach, but people want to make money a lot faster than that.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Dumb plan? on: June 06, 2022, 06:30:18 PM
I do not invest in any other than major coins. I am not adventurous enough to invest in altcoins. I do not act aggressively about crypto, i always take cautious steps. Most of the altcoins which are said to see the summit and will do very well are now garbage. Maybe that's why i miss great opportunities because i don't like to take risks but at the end of the day i see that I am rising step by step. Do not approach this market emotionally without doing a thorough research. I would say don't go outside of the major coins much.
This is not a wrong approach at all. There will be ton of people who will tell you that it is the wrong approach but the reality is that if you are feeling comfortable about investing into alts then you should not do it. However, if you are feeling like you want to, that is not a wrong one neither.

The only wrong thing here is that if you invest into something without researching, if you do your own research and make sure that it is good, then you could do anything you want, if you do not research and end up losing money then it is a wrong move. So either go full on btc, or spread just a few coins, or do a whole diversified, bunch of coins, as long as you pick the right ones then there is nothing wrong.
1053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Holding my horses for now on: June 06, 2022, 11:08:24 AM
Is buying bitcoin right now the same with buying later? I stopped buying because it looks like Bitcoin dips isn't over, imagine buying at 19k per Bitcoin, I think the whole idea of investment is when you are buying not running after the best coins in the market, buying them cheap is better or I don't get it?.
Buying cheap is the best thing to do as an investor but no one can assure you that price of Bitcoin will slip to 19K or whatever because that is how the market works, it is unpredictable so buying at 29K is better than waiting for 20K if you're ready to hold it for years but who know it can reach too low or it may never happen.
I agree that it is unpredictable but at the same time I have to say that it is quite unlikely for anyone to make calculations based on 19k, that was something that impossible to reach most of the time and that is why I believe that we won't be getting there. I believe that we should not be really hoping for a high price right away, but we should not be expecting such a low price neither.

All the drops in the bitcoin price ended up happening because of something important, whereas we are talking about something that is usually a bit more towards the impact of another bad news, so there is no reason to drop right now since there is nothing bad going on.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Mantra After, while playing And Before You Gamble on: June 06, 2022, 06:19:01 AM
if we're talking about sports gambling then that really needs the knowledge to have a proper analysis to make enhance your chances of winning. We're not talking about basic knowledge, I'm talking about knowing the recent stats of the team/players respectively to the sports we are betting.
But if we are talking about casino games then that's just a game based on luck and definitely doesn't require any knowledge. Just knowing the basics of the game would already do the trick.
At a certain point, we need to realize that if you are not interested in a sport, then wagering on it makes absolutely no sense at all. I have met with people who wagered thousands on volleyball, because they thought that it was simple, and to be fair they actually did made some good profit from it as well, not like they were terrible, but never watched it, and eventually they lost more than they won, just not all of it.

Same goes for many tennis wagerers as well, a ton of people wager on tennis, and some of them do not even watch it, makes zero sense to me, don't know if they end up winning, but if you are not watching it then it makes no sense to me.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: June 05, 2022, 09:53:47 PM
Haaland is a young player I'm sure he can adapt quickly and the Premier League is a challenge for the world's top players they will be more recognized if they manage to make some good records such as top score and others.
That's right, from any angle, Haaland is a pretty good young player at the moment, you could even say he is the most prominent player after Mbappe.
The EPL is the league with the best level of competition at the moment and it is clear that this will be one of the challenges for Haaland.
he has to adjust the EPL fast play for now because many people fail to adjust this and if he also fails it will be hard for him to shine
He is definitely the next superstar after Mbappe, there is no denying that. Plus he was in a position that City direly needed as well. They need a superstar striker and they got one, if Haaland was the next superstar defender for example, it wouldn't really mean this much, but since he is a striker, and one that is so strong and fast that he would definitely adjust to EPL very well, and I believe that he could score enough to even challenge top scorer of the league next season with such a great team as well.

So, this transfer was the one that they did very well, the best one they had for a long time, it is going to change so much of the clubs future for sure. And this isn't like Newcastle we are talking about, they are already amazing.
1056  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: June 05, 2022, 09:04:59 PM
It is based on luck but we don't go all in single bet and call it a day after win/loss. What we want is keep playing and enjoy time, without proper bankroll management it is not going to happen.
Going all-in or yolo gambling is actually my favorite strategy to be honest. I use this strategy in games with low house edge like dice, blackjack(Optimal strategy), Baccarat etc and won more than I lost.

This makes sense considering the fact that it's possible to beat the house in the short-term(Not in the long-term). I don't use this strategy whenever I want to extend my sessions.
I wouldn't recommend it, but not like we could stop other people from doing anything they wish. If you go all in, then you are going to either win big, or lose out and have absolutely nothing else to do.

The next logical step is either to quit gambling all together which I assume you didn't by the looks of it, or deposit again, hence it wasn't really an all-in, whenever you got some money, you just wager big, and that is basically regular gambling with just bigger intervals. I highly suggest gambling for many hours, I promise you that it is much more fun because that way you will have bunch of losses but you will also have bunch of wins too.
1057  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for June on: June 05, 2022, 07:25:19 PM
I agree that June could totally be like sideways, we have been like that ever since we dropped to 30k levels, I can't remember the exact date when Luna deal happened but it has been a while now I suppose, at that point we dropped to 26k at the bottom but went to 32k and so far we have been moving up and down only a slight bit and I do not see us getting out of that zone anytime soon.

I feel like June and even July could be like that.  In order for us to go super high (or even lower) there needs to be something and nothing is happening right now in bitcoin ecosystem and for the foreseeable future nothing looks like could be done.
I feel like sideways has been long enough, we have been sideways for a whole month now, there could be some movements. I am not saying that we will go under 20k or over 50k, but maybe like reaching 40k? That wouldn't be too shocking, or even reaching above 35k which we haven't done in a while.

I feel like sideways doesn't always end with a huge movement, sometimes it does but other times we get to see it move out of that sideways movement by going out of range for a small amount. In this case 35k would not be a big deal, it wouldn't be a huge % to go up, but at the same time it would break the cycle and we would be able to call it a bull run at least.
1058  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Terra Luna Classic and Terra Luna 2.0 on: June 05, 2022, 03:04:02 PM
There are validator and DEX burn Luna Classic

LUNC DAO burn LUNC from their earning in LUNA staking. They burn LUNC daily and the number of LUNC burned depends on how much earning they get from their LUNA staking pool.
https://twitter.com/LUNCDAO/status/1531396601192792065

Burning DEX
https://twitter.com/burning_DEX/status/1532412626008932353
https://medium.com/@BURNING_DEX/introducing-a-dex-for-the-people-d1a2b05b29eb

It is good move from community and if it expands more, LUNC will get good support and their total supply will reduce. It is worth to note I don't promote the validator or the DEX, use their service with risk.
I do not think that trying to return something back to life when even the project creators agree that it is gone, would be a good idea. Luna classic nor luna 2.0 or UST or anything that was created based on this ecosystem will recover, you could burn it all and have just 1 left and it would still not be worth anything. Just accept the fact that it is gone and it will never be recovered and we will go a lot better and further along the way.

I believe that investing even 10 bucks on something like this makes no sense to me at all. It would make sense if there was a true team behind it, or it was decentralized, but with the way it is right now? I have no hope.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kenyan energy company entices Bitcoin miners with geothermal power on: June 05, 2022, 09:12:44 AM
just like someone mentioned above, corruption may deter some foreign investors to invest in this country. if they can't attract foreign miners or investors, they can always get the local support. it may improve the economic status of its people. kenya is still in the third world category, so if their people will find a way how to elevate their economic status, then why not focus first in helping their own people?
Very apt, Kenya is still a third world category. They have traces of corruption, I thought they would have gotten it right when their son became the president of America. They had a better international image then.
Still my concern that people (foreigners) will be reluctant to invest in an economy that isn't trustworthy.
Darker45 mentioned above how the country cannot satisfy the electricity need of her people let alone having excess. Everything is no looking straight though.
Companies do not care about corruption, even if the place is a corrupted one, then making a profit would not be that much of a difficulty and they could easily end up with something that bribery would fix and they would be able to profit from it. I mean think about it, you will be able to profit from paying bribery towards corrupted politicians and make a lot more money that you paid for, why wouldn't you want to do that?

I am sure that they would be willing to do that very easily. Hence all of the problems you may think about Kenya, is gone when we are talking about companies liberal/capitalist enough, because it might be bad, but they are willing to do bad things for profit.
1060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Mentor experience in crypto trading. on: June 04, 2022, 09:58:49 PM
And in the first place, we don't need someone who is not knowledgeable enough to teach us as this makes no sense at all. if we ask for a mentor and want to gain more ideas, we are supposed to look for an expert in that field, not the one who is also just like us (beginners).

Exactly, not all who got a mentor succeeded after, some had also failed because of decision making. This is an individual response to the market and this couldn't be taught.
Having a mentor to better understand the crypto world is the best way to get the right information. I don't think it's bad for beginners, but it's good that the mentor is also the right person where he already understands things quite well.

Some people ask me to teach them about forums and how to get started here, of course I don't mind if they are really serious. But sadly I don't have much time to give them enough information about the forum so far other than just asking them to read more rules and interact with other users. I might also be able to tell them something related to trading or investing, so that it will allow them to understand it properly rather than being self-taught.
It is not even just good for the newbies neither, the weird thing is, if you think you are a veteran and start to learn crypto trading from another mentor, even if you are as good as a mentor yourself, then you can see another approach to trading. That would make things a lot better for you because you already mastered a method yourself, but then you will be able to master another method by learning it from another mentor.

This will allow you to have different approaches and if you keep doing that it would result with you mastering multiple approaches and do a lot better in the long run. This is of course just my suggestion, if you are a veteran that profits, you may not feel like you need such a task.
