What's the word on the Fibreboard?
Hi The status with the FibreBoard is we have only received a few applicants at this time, we would like 20 individuals on the board, With a low number of board members a group of 3 or 4 could influence a decision, with more board members a fairer voting system will be in place ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Anyone interested in applying : http://www.fibrecoin.com/fibreboardAny other questions please join us at http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=#FibreKrushang Ok. I think the fact that it has been several weeks now and applicants are still low suggests a need to restructure the board element. I'm not sure if it has been done before, but would it be possible to grant the top 20 holders on any given Sunday a vote, thereby eliminating the application process. It would also be very cool if the voting system was built into fibre os. Just my 2 satochi Hi Yes we have considered about restructuring the requirements of the board, due to the low amount of applicants we have received. This will be discussed with the Fibre team this week and will have a decision by the end of the week whether changes will be made to the FibreBoard. Thanks Krushang

First let me say that I really appreciate this team's work. One thing that worries me is that the price isn't growing naturally, rather in jumps/pumps on the news. I mean, there is not enough buy support because the initial growth was too quick. Now many people are holding the coin but they would not have enough buyers to sell. It might look nice - the price is much higher than it was few weeks ago (I jumped in at 10k and sold only few along ther way). But in reality this is very fragile now. If 2-3 people who hold as many coins as I do would decide to dump at the same moment, the coin would collapse. I am not trying to FUD, but merely hoping to take care of my investment. The price is not everything - buy support is equally important. Just look at the exchange - is there enough buy support for you to sell? And imagine there are many other investors like you. All it takes to destroy this nice price rally would be 2-3 people deciding to cash out. I don't have a solution to this. Maybe we as a community should provide more buy support? Maybe we should slow down with the roadmap? We need people who would prefer to cash out ofter many months, not few weeks.
Hi Thanks for your concerns, as you know buy support occurs naturally by investors that are interested in supporting Fibre. Yes I agree to a certain extent that buy support should come from the community but shouldn't be forced upon them, the price has grown due to the fact that more then 50% of the road map is complete and community support, we have more then just the road map, all will be reviled in time. There are alot of Investors that are holding there coins for the long term, if they weren't you would have already seen massive dumps, which I haven't seen any, if I recall correctly. We had 10 btc buy support down to 57000 sat yesterday, that's why volume has increased and price has been quite stable. I was trying to make a Fibre OS virtual machine, but cant boot it form the FibreOS.iso? Any suggestions? Do I have to do it thru a USB? Is that the only way?
Easier way : In Fibreos, launch Gparted, On the 3Gb main partition, right click "Extend", move the cursor, click OK .... Partition is resize while system is running. 2min and it's ok ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) In FibreOS -> Activities -> GParted Select the DRIVE of the USB Stick. Right click -> Resisze/Move Select the new size, then apply Yes it is the easiest way to extend You partition ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) For windows guys - You can run FibreOS too on VirtualBox ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) You need to do this : http://www.silicongadget.com/operative-systems/virtualization/convert-img-files-virtualbox-vdi-format/2674/Trying to run on VMWare Workstation? You will need to follow the instructions to get it on to USB first then mount / pass through the USB to the VM and boot it that way. The FibreOS.iso doesn't contain any boot partition, this is created by the transfer tool used to get it on USB. Hi This might help: https://communities.vmware.com/thread/480157Krushang

An innovative security feature that has not been seen in Crypto Land before. The idea behind FibreLock was to remove the keyboard from the password entry process thus rendering key loggers and other malware useless against the FibreWallet !!! FibreLock uses an android style pattern based locking system, there is no keyboard subsystem being used that malware could monitor !!! All inputs will come from your mouse. Your pattern will become your password. If your wallet is already encrypted, use the change password feature to swap over to the new pattern input. Select Change Password > Enter your existing password > Enter your new pattern and confirm. Krushang
