Dear OP, I suspect you are using AI to reply to these posts but I am on mobile right now which is why I am unable to verify my claim. Moreover, you are violating forum rules. You cannot post more than one post in a row in the same thread. If you want to add something, edit your previous post and add more comments. If you want to add several quotes in a single post, click on edit and then scroll down to the post you want to edit, click on quote and it should add to the reply box where you can edit the post as well. There is no need to quote the whole post to reply someone. Edit the post and remove the unwanted part so it does not look bad. I hope this helps!
1042  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on getting merits on: October 09, 2023, 11:37:34 AM
I am curious if he cheated in campaigns with his multiple accounts or not. I am curious if he transfers some merits to his alts or not. If he did not, good job, and keep up the good work. Having multiple accounts is allowed here.
The Op has not earned any merit before, aside from the extra one that was gotten from his local board. During the merit system, maybe a few (s) merits were airdropped to him; I don't know how many, but based on the merit record, the OP has only sent out four merits twice to a user, which I believe can't be his alt. Maybe a lack of merit won't allow his cheating scheme to go that way.

As far as I know, old members received airdropped merits according to their rank and activity. So, Full members received 100 airdropped merits to get their rank, Sr 250, hero 500, and Legendaries 1000. There are a lot of inactive accounts that have not earned a single merit other than the air-dropped merits. So, when I see high-rank accounts without earning a single or very little amount of merits, I tend to think those are sold accounts. The account changed hands. The account owner does not even know if they have a high-ranked Bitcointalk account because of their previous activity. So, if you see a Legendary member with zero earned merits, it means they did not earn it with their knowledge.

How many other alt accounts are out there?

Oh damn. It seems all those suggestions and times wasted. These are not the typical newbie who wants to learn by creating these topics. I am curious if he cheated in campaigns with his multiple accounts or not. I am curious if he transfers some merits to his alts or not. If he did not, good job, and keep up the good work. Having multiple accounts is allowed here.

A full member is not a newbie. A full member has to spend at least four months in this forum to get the rank. So, you should know how these things work. Just don't act like you don't know anything about it.
1044  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bunny Loader: Another Clipboard malware on: October 08, 2023, 12:24:03 PM
Most of us do not double-check the address before we send the crypto to the destination.
I know that I do, multiple times. If you belong to the group that doesn't do it, you better change for your own good. One slipup and your coins are gone.

I know I have to be careful with it. These things are habits. If someone is concerned about their security, they always double-check these things before performing actions. Usually, I do not check does not mean I always do not check. I check sometimes, but I have to be careful with it.

Did you read the other part of my post? I want to know how can I escape this malware. How they get into the system. I will have to do some research if I do not get any reply here. Usually, I click on random website links provided by forum members, social media people, and friends.
1045  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bunny Loader: Another Clipboard malware on: October 08, 2023, 11:24:41 AM
I am afraid of this malware. The problem is we don't know when these malware affect our machines until we notice the changes of address. Most of us do not double-check the address before we send the crypto to the destination. I wonder how this malware enters the system. Do these malware get downloaded with other programs? Let's say I did not download any program or file in the last couple of months, do I still have the possibility to get affected? Can those malware get into my machine just by visiting some random links? If this malware cannot get into a PC without downloading any program, then it's a relief. Otherwise, it's a big threat as we always click random links.
1046  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need advice on getting merits on: October 08, 2023, 11:09:22 AM
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. Cheers!  Smiley

Your username reminded me of a popular ransomware that destroyed many people's systems. Back to the topic, it's not true that you can get tons of merits from gambling threads. Gambling boards are the haven of spammers and merit sources rarely visit those boards. No matter how constructive your post is, it will be buried in a lot of spam.

If you have good writing skills, try to be active in the beginner and help section, technical discussion, project development, meta, and reputation. Even if you do not earn a lot of merits, you will learn many things from these boards which will help you to earn merits in the future.
1047  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint on: October 08, 2023, 10:56:34 AM
Instead of using dual boot by dividing partitions, why don't you first try using a virtual machine such as a virtual box or others to test specific operating systems, including PGP Signature on different OS?

I use MacOS as the primary OS. I run other OS using a virtual machine for testing PGP Signature or another application.

Well, I didn't realize I am this much bad at setting up OS. I thought it wouldn't be that hard to set up OS in dual boot as I already shrank enough space for the Debian 12. I always get a suggestion from time to time to switch to Linux. So, I wanted to migrate there but I wanted to keep the Windows OS as well. A virtual machine could have been a good option, but I don't know why I didn't try a virtual machine first.

I had some weird experience setting up the OS. I have two SSDs installed and I installed the Debian 12 on my 240 GB storage. For some reason, if I unplug my other SSD which is 500 GB, the OS does not boot. This is weird. So, I removed that SSD again and installed Windows again. Now I am setting up the Debian 12 again. I hope everything will be fine after this attempt.
1048  Economy / Economics / Re: Agriculture vs oil on: October 07, 2023, 02:49:55 PM
----

The world already has seen the possibility of the Russia-Ukrainian war. Ukraine is one of the countries that supplies a large amount of wheat worldwide. We have seen the effect when Ukraine could not export wheat and many other food products. The countries always depend on each other. The world depends on the Middle East's oils, while the Middle East depends on other countries' exported products. It's all about give and take.

The supply of oils is not unlimited. It has a limitation. Most Middle Eastern countries are already developing their architecture by selling oils to make money from other sources. Of course, I agree that oils have a significant effect on the productivity of agriculture!
1049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint on: October 07, 2023, 12:41:12 PM
As the members mentioned above, it is better to rephrase the topic in your own personal style, or at least try out even a limited part of the explanation and try to show an updated version of the UI. In general, mdayonliner did a great job on this topic and I was surprised at how it was deceived in a similar topic weeks later. Overall, add your personal touch to future topics and keep up the good work.

Thanks for your suggestion. The thread was well explained and too long already. I don't think I could organize the thread the way the previous thread creator did the job. Since the tutorial is already available and the UI did not change much, I just fixed the images here. But as you and others suggested, I was trying to switch to another OS just for this PGP Tutorial purpose, and I destroyed my Windows OS by mistake. I am currently setting my Debian 12 OS and I am already having some difficulties. I will develop a short, basic tutorial on PGP encryption/decryption for Linux users. But I am unsure if I should create a new thread or post it here as a reply. If I post as a reply, I think it won't get many views.
1050  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do I need to Trade My Coin on: October 07, 2023, 10:19:07 AM
Bitcoin is dependable more than altcoins.  So it is not a bit of good advice to hold any coin that is not bitcoin for a long time. Most traders take advantage of the short pump of altcoins to make profit. The best coin to hodl is Bitcoin.

The last bull run was my first bull run. I was aware of Bitcoin in 2017 too, but I did not try to hold any Bitcoin or try to purchase Bitcoin. But, the last bull run was memorable for me. I was holding Bitcoin and bought some altcoins too, hoping that those coins will give me high ROI. It's important to know when to exit the market. I was still holding when Bitcoin touched the ATH and I thought I hold more.

I did not sell anything and did not take profit from the market. I thought it will pump further which is why I was holding them. I did not realize that the market won't go up always. There will be correction. I lost a couple of thousand dollars in altcoins and Bitcoin too because I sold them at the lowest price. I started learning then but it cost me a lot already.
1051  Other / Meta / Re: Here is why Bitcointalk is a reliable source! on: October 07, 2023, 10:11:40 AM
after spending a long time on the forum, the nicknames of many users are so familiar that trusting the posts of people you read every day is safer for me than reading information from strangers on the Internet.

Yes, this is exactly why I mentioned the option reputation. Some of you guys have been around and contributed to this forum for a long time. Those forum members are unlikely to give incorrect information unless it's an honest mistake or misunderstanding. I have followed a lot of YouTube videos before and ended up messing up my system. The very recent incident happened last night. I was trying to set up Fedora workstation 38 with Windows dual boot. I ended up corrupting my Windows files, and I had to format my drives. I have lost my PGP key backups and many other important files. I was lucky that I had stored my electrum keys offline. Otherwise, I could have lost thousands of dollars.
1052  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie Don't be afraid of buying Bitcoin on: October 07, 2023, 09:38:02 AM
Rich people like Changpeng Zhao(cz), Brian Armstrong, Jed Mc Caleb etc dare to store large amounts of Bitcoin because they already know Bitcoin more than other people think. Their knowledge of the uses of Bitcoin has placed them among several other individuals who hold large amounts of Bitcoin.
Logically, if these rich people dare to save large amounts of money in the form of Bitcoin, why are we still hesitant about holding Bitcoin? The risk is definitely there, especially since the price of Bitcoin is very volatile. But sufficient knowledge about Cryptocurrency investment will shape investors to be patient when under pressure.

However, they are already wealthy enough. No one invested more than they could afford to lose. Some of them take risks like CZ to build a business, and he is a successful man so far. I am not saying that you should be afraid of investing in Bitcoin, but no one should invest all their money into one thing hoping it will make them rich and the fiat money will be zero at some point. Fiat money is here to stay, and I do not see the US dollar becoming zero anytime soon. If there are no fiats, how will Bitcoin dominate other currencies? We need alt coins to dominate them.
1053  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint on: October 07, 2023, 08:05:52 AM
I suggest you complement it with your own experience in practising it, as in the past, mdayonliner wrote its version by using my thread PGP/GPG Signed Message - Public Key in Indonesian as a reference*.

In my thread, it is intended for several OS with several methods and applications:

Haha. A funny thing happened to me last night. I wanted to dual boot my PC with Fedora workstation 38 and needed at least 15 GB of unallocated free space in the same drive. I had 137 GB of free space available, but when I tried to shrink the drive, it allowed me to shrink a maximum of 14 GB. So, I deleted some files and turned off some Windows features shown in a YouTube video tutorial. After installing the OS, I noticed my Windows files got corrupted, and I had to format the SSD without having any backup. My HDD was also damaged simultaneously with 1.5 TB of files, and now I got fu**d up. I found some bugs and difficulties on Fedora workstation 38, so I installed Debian 12 this time. I hope everything will be fine, and I guess it's my end with Windows! I am already having some difficulties with Linux as I am a new user.

I decided to drop this image from one of 1miau thread Trade vs. HODL - avoid traps it explains fully why you should avoide trading and consider HODLING you're Bitcoins

The illustration is good example. But it's not that easy to hold how it looks like. You need the most precious thing to hold your coins which is patience. The problem is everyone do not have this precious thing. I tried to hold my coins a couple of tomes. But I always end up gambling them, or selling them for some special needs. At some point, I was disappointed at myself because every time I plan to hold my bitcoin, I end up spending them. So, I started searching for a feature where I can lock my bitcoin for a specific time so I don't spend them. The solution was coinb.in timelock system. I have tried it and it's still works. So, if someone is impatient like me, I suggest them to use these service.
1056  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: HODL is purely a mental challenge on: October 06, 2023, 01:39:48 AM
After all, it's a very important lesson to know that HODL is purely a mental challenge. If you want to HODL correctly, you should know and pay attention to all the points mentioned above.  Smiley

Some people tend to break every rule made in this world. Sometimes I cannot hold myself from saying something straightforward. My forum journey began with a question in mind, it was "Can I lock my Bitcoin in a wallet? I found a solution at the end. But the problem was, I was making money online and spending them online as well. I was thinking of saving my Bitcoin for the future. But most of the time I end up gambling my bitcoin in online casinos. So I was looking for a solution. Coinb.in was the solution. I already know that saying Hodl is not hard, but most of us cannot hold it. We fail because it's a mental challenge and sometimes we fail to ourselves.
1057  Other / Off-topic / Re: I Used Cracked Windows 10 Activated on: October 06, 2023, 01:18:07 AM
Did you notice that you had to disable your Windows Defender to move the crack file? Some of these crack patches contain viruses and malware. We don't know if this spyware collects your data or not. It's not wise to use these cracks and financial software in the same OS. You can easily find cheap activation keys online. Windows has some resellers who sell those keys very cheaply. It's between $5 to $20 in Bangladesh. It is not worth taking such a risk for this amount. It's only if you are a Windows lover and you are friendly with this OS. Or you can move to Linux for better security.
1058  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Eng: Tutorial] PGP Signature - Encrypt/Decrypt message - Fingerprint on: October 06, 2023, 12:53:20 AM
Thank you for fixing the broken image links. I have been also looking for this. One thing I'm unsure of, it the guide up to date? The original thread is bit old. Is there any smartphone guide available? Many doesn't have any desktop devices.

I have tried the latest version of gpg4win and the user interface seems almost the same. There are some changes, but I guess you won't face issues understanding the new UI. If you face difficulties understanding something, you can post here and many members will help you including me.

About the Android version: Currently I am testing an Android, if I can do all the necessary steps with the app I am trying, I will share in this community. But I guess most of us use Desktop.

I suggest you complement it with your own experience in practising it, as in the past, mdayonliner wrote its version by using my thread PGP/GPG Signed Message - Public Key in Indonesian as a reference*.

In my thread, is intended for several OS with several methods and applications:

I have tried it myself. I have written a beginner tutorial in the Bengali version. Since the English version is already available, I did not want to write it again. I fixed the broken images instead. Moreover, I do not have several OS at this moment. But, I will try if I can.

1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Inspired Me To Invest In Bitcoin. on: October 05, 2023, 10:19:57 AM
Then you should have told this answer how to buy bitcoin without bank or government supervision. It will be very helpful for those who don't know much about this subject like me.
But I think, first of all we need the help of some bank or exchange for first time buy Bitcoin.
If someone wants to buy bitcoin in a new state, how can they buy it?
What is your opinion on that?

You still have options to buy Bitcoin without compromising your privacy. You have to search for it. It depends on where you are from. You can try platforms like agoradesk.com where you can buy Bitcoin without compromising your personal information. Even some centralized exchanges do not ask for KYC. You can check this thread No-KYC Exchange Encyclopedia by Ratimov. Currently, there are 49 exchanges listed that do not ask for KYC. You can find the best one according to your needs.
1060  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Keep learning newbies, The forum has a lot to offer on: October 05, 2023, 10:06:57 AM
I do not suggest newbies immediately start learning Bitcoin trading instead of know the depth of Bitcoin. Their main focus should be explore the forum more and more and read. I didn't even realize when I learned things about Bitcoin.
While this thread exists: Stop discouraging people from Bitcoin...
It points out about trading and I reckon what you've said is that newbies don't have to rush to trade. Take a little step at a time and enjoy the exploration that they are learning while staying here. As this thread says, a lot of things have to be learned from the forum, there's trading but it isn't the only thing that they'll learn about.

Some people think Bitcoin = Trading and gambling. They think those are the only use cases of Bitcoin, while there are many other things to learn. People do not bother to learn why their transactions get stuck from time to time. People do not bother to learn that any coin named Bitcoin on another chain is not Bitcoin. These are the shitcoins. People do not bother to learn what wallet they should use instead of centralized exchanges. They use exchanges to trade and keep their balance there. Bitcoin enabled financial freedom yet we do not use it for that purpose. Bitcoin is not only for trading. If newbies already know about these, they are welcome to ignore it.
