1041  Economy / Speculation / Re: Let this rise be a lesson - Bitcoin isn't strongly tied to anything on: October 25, 2019, 07:42:04 PM
Isn't this price movement due to Chinese president adoring blockchain and wanted fast adoption in China?

The article in cointelegraph which their facebook account is now unblocked were full of comments from facebook users, I checked to see what the comments were and realize the price of BTC actually shoots way above the expectation this very day. If Chinese president says something like this, its highly regarded as a sign.

NO.

This is a good example of what I'm calling out in my post - there's no chance that a world leader praising "blockchain technology" - something that is only tangential to Bitcoin, would cause Bitcoin to go up by 14% instantly. Just google other similar news, look at dates and plot them over Bitcoin price chart - you'll find absolutely no correlations. So, what happened today was just a coincidence.

Coincidence or not, shill around its what makes all these more of a game. The effect of  fud can be measured by how much a coin had drop,  can be considered fundamental analysis if its on big news source. If this 14% growth has no reason, we can simply say a rich kid just experienced orgasm of his life buys BTC in million USD while we all sell and then once again pray for more kids. Every thing is a fud here including those big news sites. Xijinping is a fudster.

1042  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ANALYST: ALTCOIN SEASON has almost arrived on: October 25, 2019, 07:17:26 PM

It doesn't mean the price has to beat the ATH to have an altseason, you just have to profit trading altcoins. In my experience I think altcoins had also hit the bottom and most likely going to go up if there is just no bad news from the team. The tops coins are looking good today, it could be red again tomorrow so this could go on for the next months til the market does what ever it does. I'm all bullish for long term.

1044  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Nigeria Naira becomes first Fiat currencies to be listed on Binance. on: October 25, 2019, 05:47:28 PM
I have no idea the volume from Africa are mostly from Nigeria. The government of the country must be bitcoin friendly government but the first I know of the country that is crypto friendly is Zimbabwe. I also have noticed it just today that there is BUSD in CMC. Looks like everyone is taking advantage of stablecoin and BNB is taking its full benefit by grabbing market even the African market.

Very intelligent move made by the CZ & the co. Africa is a huge niche for cryptocurrency projects taking into account the big percentage of unbanked people there. We all know what success MPesa had in Kenya and pretty much all over the African continent. I strongly believe that cryptocurrencies are going to be the catalyst that will end the hunger and boost Africa economic and social development close to what we now see in most of the countries.

Especially because they have most of the population unbanked means that there are less hurdles and they won't have banks protesting against the change Cheesy

There had been many of the people are trying to view crypto to be the tool to waken these countries up for its potential.
1045  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Poloniex to Spin Out of Circle on: October 25, 2019, 05:15:51 PM
but not as "poloniex". that's like when a shitty restaurant hangs up an "under new management" sign. that's not drawing anyone in.

It worked for btc-e/wex.

The software is still good. Poloniex's website remains one of the easiest to trade BTC and altcoins.

I guess the new owners (if there are new owners) must be very open, publishing pictures and bios of everybody working for the company. A video of the staff replying to customers would also help. Of course, the beginning would be to pay back what the company has stolen under the old management...
It isnt really too late to regain those glory days of Polo but i doubt that those possibilities would really be slim out. New management will surely
still abide the same strict centralization in case of change hands.I cant deny that their platform is still reliable the only culprit here why they do drop their
popularity is on when Circle handle it out.Spinning out might give some chance but all will vary on how it will handle out.

With Justine Sun and promoting is in Asian market, he might just make Polo regain again its former glory. Reasonable to see why they taking out US market in the picture because they are going to be relaunching it on Asia. Chinese literally buying companies in US is not rare to do, the Chinese had been doing it for years including the companies in the manufacturing industries and then sending all its assembly lines to China.

Anyway, Justine could help but just to confirm that the Asian market for crypto is going to be evident that even Xi Ping is announcing its blockchain adoption.

1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Asia can be the biggest crypto market on: October 25, 2019, 04:02:20 PM

China's president Xi Jinping just encourage countries to accelerate the use of blockchain or adopt blockchain in the article of cointelegraph. Interesting to read that a president from a country who ban BTC are the ones calling for its fast adoption. But really seem to make sense because they are releasing Chinese digital currency right?

Once China finally release this digital yuan of them, we really could be seeing a more revolutionary things that could happen. Just imagine Asians using Yuan as base currency and not USD anymore.
1047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are some of the best Blockchain Investment Platforms? on: October 25, 2019, 02:34:23 PM

Did he asks for investment platforms such as exchanges or blockchain forums like bitcointalk.org and cryptotalk.org?  That last one is actually what I promote, go check that out.

For newbies, I would only expect to see them to look for which exchanges are best to go with before actually investing for the chance of scam can happen in exchanges because of them that can just exit like closing down. Newbies sometimes wanna check which one is more reliable. I say binance.com
1048  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: No Bounty For Newbies .. A new war on: October 24, 2019, 06:36:05 PM
Rules stems from the beginning of the campaign. Despite the merit program which I've come across being here for a while, I think mostly newbies should learn about the forum for a while before being part of campaigns in here.

You can only pick the campaigns that are really from a good team, identifying which team is good is just not easy though. Rules in most cases are just not fair for bounty hunters specially when it says they can change the rules as they see fit. So when they say they allow Jr member for now, it could be different in the middle of the campaign. Just as they will tell us to distribute the tokens right after the campaign but later be changed to after 3 months.

The only rules that may not change here is that bounty campaigns are not moderated. Its better not join at all and find another opportunity somewhere, probably in the job sites.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Asia can be the biggest crypto market on: October 24, 2019, 04:55:52 PM

Its not true that there are no real use of the crypto, there are projects that we can actually see how their tokens can be used to purchase products. The only problem is that there is not many of the people in crypto are buying the products since mostly are seeing these tokens to b an investment not for the purpose of buying services. Its the same situation with BTC, whle the rest of us are using it to buy products and services probably more than half of the community are not spending BTC but saving it for profit.
1050  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-31] Bitcoin bank accounts now available to European citizens on: October 23, 2019, 08:54:35 PM
It is still not entirely clear how this service will work in practice, however, the more different options for services will be, the better. Moreover, such a service is provided by an ordinary bank, which means the further adoption of cryptocurrency. Let people appreciate the convenience of such a service and decide to use it or not. Of course, having such a bank card will mean more control over the use of our funds. However, everyone will have the right to choose which option to choose. All in all, this is not bad.

If you there is the need for someone to agree before you can do something to your BTC, it means bad. This I guess you would agree. Whoever it is whether a 3rd party or simply Bitwala itself has the key for you to be able to make any transaction means a bitcoin holder is like at gun point. The only who will use the bank are the ones who wouldn't mind robbed in the middle of the crowded mall.
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency in the next financial crisis on: October 23, 2019, 08:40:13 PM
Life is rather uncertain nowadays as anything can happen at any time and we would be caught off guard. That’s also one way to describe the current economy at this stage. With the world’s economy expanding and expanding there have been more crashes as the years go by and they are becoming more frequent and some say at any moment one could happen.

So you are left with a situation in which the money you currently own, fiat money: the dollar bills & coins, will become worthless and you cannot even buy anything you need to survive on a day to day basis. In this situation, people will have to resort to a system of bartering like in the stone ages. I guess if you have a lot of stuff with value you can trade that would be great, but a majority of people don’t have such a stash. Things can get ugly real fast.

Therefore, in such a doomsday situation you have to come up with a situation in which you can trade with people in order to survive. There are two solutions I can come up with, either using precious metals such as Gold & Silver or using Cryptocurrency. Considering that fiat currency is useless, Cryptocurrency might raise in value so that it can be useful as a means of trade as long as the Internet still exists which will most likely be the case.

There is an economic crisis that is sighted on horizon. When it comes, fiat currencies will have big difficulties. People will start a search for alternatives to fiat currencies. Then, more people will discover cryptos and especially Bitcoin. And the demand for Bitcoin will start to increase very fast.
While the demand for bitcoin at that point will increase significantly the real action will happen on the supply side of the equation, what are going to do all of those people that are holding bitcoin? Many speculate that they will sell their coins but I cannot see the point of that, why would you get out of a coin that everyone wants and get a coin that no one wants, most likely what will happen is that those that are holding bitcoin will keep holding it and will only exchange it for stuff of real value.

Like buying food or probably gasoline. But its likely to also not buy BTC instead since they can directly buy those stuff with the current fiat, prices of the daily commodities will be a lot higher by the time there is crisis too. Investing could be the last thing in their minds when there is crisis, all they want is just to stack supplies as much as they could to fill their cabinets with sugar and can goods. The only who will hold BTC are the ones who already have before the crisis.

1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not trust New wallets with your fund on: October 23, 2019, 08:23:48 PM

There are altcoins which is related to wallets and at the same time with an exchange on it.  They were doing ICO too in the past, looks good and I have no issues but I'm still cautious storing BTC on it. I just use them because they did release a coin for the wallet, the purpose of the coin is not exactly known but they are listed on many exchanges so I did kept the coins.

Actually old wallet enough is enough so no need other wallet without smart, because lot of scam platform in here so believe in new wallet more difficult. Basically many time here i have reading more articles about scam wallet and people lost their funds.

Seen some of them too. It looks like they are just waiting for more people to store and send BTC and EOS to the wallets before they will exit.
1053  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin freelancing is dead? on: October 23, 2019, 06:56:25 PM

Bitcoin is now acting like an asset that is not meant for paying employees and so there are projects designed for this specific market, sadly its failing because the community didn't support those projects. Projects meant for freelancers because while they have their own tokens, freelancers are seeing BTC more to be acceptable.

Ethlance also doesn't have much employers there and while job seekers wants to apply for jobs, they are required to buy ETH because they would have to pay ETH just to apply for the a job.
1054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges Tokens on: October 23, 2019, 03:42:39 PM
Its one way of exchanges to maintain a mutual relationship with their users that’s why they provide their own token economy. Established exchanges are likely to survive through this strategy and can generate enough to cover their operating cost and enhance their services.

The outcome however for them releasing own tokens is that they are reducing their chances to earn BTC which is the main goal for the business. There are exchange still not doing it like Bittrex but then same dilemma for the traders, because traders doesn't want BTC to be the transaction fee which they turn to binance still. The market of BNB keeps growing which is why its on top of the market because of all the choices to be make.
1055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin's future. on: October 23, 2019, 02:54:36 PM
the future will be good when a mature development is carried out from now on, when development continues to occur in many sectors and many aspects in each industry then at least it will produce a better future. so for now if every project continues to be developed for a sustainable adoption then it is certain that the future of crypto will be good
For development, it can be seen that many actually do not match their whitepapers. most altcoins are failing right now because their platforms aren't very popular with people. they all chose to invest in a sector that was already developing rather than in the development process. the risk here is quite large because the determination will run or not make the price effect

That is the reason the white paper is only a complement in a project, but people who judge it as a development, sometimes there are solid developers but do not get support, it often has the potential to fail, because the developer thinks if there is no support for what to continue the project, so this is the reason that makes it fail.

Developers also need funds and with what had happened this bear market, the team's fund are reduced to how much BTC had dipped. If they were not successful in providing milestones for the project to continue, the community will eventually flush the trust they have given to them. The roadmaps doesn't matter already, its the community's trust that will make wonders for them.
1056  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Selection of coins, your thoughts? on: October 22, 2019, 09:16:26 PM

I use to put a lot for NEO but the Chinese seem not using it often this time. The number 1 in the Chinese market right now is EOS, not sure how that change their minds but its just what happen base on the ranks. NEO still provides GAS though. If you like the EOS projects today that also gives dividends, you most likely wanna hold NEO as well. The GAS price also tan  during the 2017 bullrun.

btc, neo, waves, and kcs is good.
but aren't you worried about the portfolio? isn't that too much altcoin, are you sure you can pay attention to any news from the coins that you hold?

I suggest, why don't you streamline your portfolio a little, by selling a few coins that have already made a profit. too much holding a coin will only make you dizzy thinking about it every day.

Better if you lease waves and they also now allow WAVES to be stake in tidex platform.
1057  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges Tokens on: October 22, 2019, 04:44:03 PM

If the exchange don't find ways to make native coins to have demands it will soon be distrusted by investors. Binance has the clever way of doing it which projects are swapping to BEP and it needs BNB for it to happen. This is besides the fact that BNB is useful to lessen transaction fee. New exchanges attract investors for the opportunity the investors would get like dividends, it would seem like they are up to make investors stick to them for good. A tremendous challenge for them is how to make the exchange become well known so traders will use them.
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: G7 report regarding Bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies. on: October 22, 2019, 04:05:43 PM

Coins including BTC are high speculative assets and its no different to other assets as well. Its so happen that BTC is more volatile. You wouldn't invest in Stablecoin as its just a stable but of course you as trader can use it. I don't personally knew anyone who will keep USDT for too long. The only reason why you would be storing stablecoin is if you speculate the bear will take years and years and you wait for the market to cool down so you can buy back while your money still is as is the last time you store it.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't doubt the power of Staking coins on: October 21, 2019, 08:54:44 PM

There is an information I got from Ivan on youtube which he was telling this subscribers to actually try to gather 32 ETH so that when ETH2.0 will take place, you can also stake your ETH. Apparently, 32ETH I guess is the minimum ETH that a wallet can participate in staking.  I don't know how to verify this information but most of the users who were chatting agreed to it. I guess 32 is a magic number for the version 2.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Stress and Happiness on: October 21, 2019, 07:23:05 PM

Nothing is more stressful than those guys who already have the chance to acquire hundred thousands of USD but tried holding while the price slowly dripping.

If Steve is just as patient as how satoshi is holding his millions in his stash, he would have been a lot richer than he is when BTC beats the ATH. He is already rich and can survive for years without selling his coins so why the hell did he sold it just because of stress?  I'm not buying the truth to this article. Steve as rich as he is must have a financial advisor who could have advised him to keep investing.
