1041  Economy / Exchanges / Re: All cryptocurrency are security asset except bitcoin - SEC on: August 01, 2023, 08:12:19 AM
Why will bitcoin be labelled unsafe and other cryptocurrencies termed as security assets? In reality, we know that bitcoin is the security cryptocurrency, whilst others are not. This simply shows how hard the government is working to make the use of bitcoin difficult for users in that country.
Delisting all other cryptocurrencies except bitcoin would also have meant the end of cryptocurrency in the United States if other crypto sectors followed suit.
All of them are self-centered and opposed to Bitcoin because they want their people to support centralization.
We can all agree that this claim is false because there is no way to connect Bitcoin or exert control over it, thus all they want is centralization.

Despite these, Bitcoin will continue to be our primary priority because it is the only cryptocurrency that offers security.
1042  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Avoid Procrastination, Buy Bitcoin And Prepare For The Next Halving. on: July 31, 2023, 05:53:18 PM
“Bitcoin could jump up to $100K with the next halving.” We can all die tomorrow, doesn't mean we die. A thousand theories will be lost by one concrete action. We can only reverse the wall clock but we can not reverse time, so it's never too late. But we still have to take wise action, don't because we don't want to be late, we instead use borrowed money.

Sometimes most people like to delay when they're tight and then panic to buy it, if it's tight then act. It shouldn't be like that, because any investment, let alone bitcoin investment, is very important for us not to procrastinate. if indeed you can set aside money to invest it will be better, so that your financial condition will be safe in the future.
How dangerous it is to invest in Bitcoin with borrowed funds when we know it is trustworthy.

Should I borrow money to invest in Bitcoin as I trust it more than all other coins? Remember that the loan I will take out will have to be repaid after a year, in light of the upcoming Bitcoin halving.
1043  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: July 29, 2023, 06:56:06 PM

Mining the Bitcoin was never the hard part. The hard part was always not selling it for massive gains because you don’t care about the money and then watching it become more money than you need. The type of person who wants to go back in time to make easy money is the type of person who would still cash most of it in early to spend before it turns into something life changing. It isn’t opportunity people lack, it’s greed that puts a ceiling on how high they can go.

I believe that setting up the mining equipment, which is highly expensive, is another challenge in mining bitcoins. If that money had been invested in bitcoin back when it was first created, it would have changed the investors lives for good by now.

Just as you stated, greed is the primary obstacle to all of this, as the majority of people had the chance to buy early and could have reached another milestone today, and if they continue to hold, I believe it will lead to a significant profit in the future.
1044  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Terrorism in Africa on: July 28, 2023, 09:22:33 AM

Terrorism is a separate sector that can never be fully understood. The least you can expect from it is to be surprised when the unexpected occurs in them. Terrorism is just used to cover up crimes, corruption, and plunder of public monies. Terrorism can be controlled and stopped, but those who have the ability to do so are often culpable for it, and the few who are not involved and have the ability to stop it are being threatened with their lives and the lives of their families as a result. This is not the time to assign blame because it is impossible to determine who is to blame for terrorism.
The only people who can put an end to this terrorism are the African leaders since, as Ndabagi01 stated, they are the root of the problem.
They primarily commit acts of terrorism in order to obtain items unlawfully and also as a result of corruption.
1045  Other / Archival / Re: FedNow - Instant payment service developed by the Federal Reserve on: July 28, 2023, 09:04:45 AM

I think this is something that are worthy of a discussion and I want to know if you see this as a threat or real competition to Bitcoin and other Crypto currencies?

Bitcoin system is entirely different from this one.

If I understand correctly, this is just a payment service while Bitcoin is not a payment service.

People are investing in Bitcoin, while they can only use this one if they want instant payment, which means it will only be a threat to other payment services and not Bitcoin.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2024 will determined bitcoin fate on: July 28, 2023, 08:52:56 AM
Predicting the future fate of Bitcoin is difficult and speculative. Even though Bitcoin has experienced significant price increases in the past, there is no guarantee that the trend will continue in the future. Therefore, it is important not to rely too much on overly optimistic expectations or to make investment plans based on uncertain predictions. It is best to have a well-thought-out strategy and invest wisely according to your goals and personal financial circumstances.
This forum has been of help to my Bitcoin knowledge and understanding, but it sounds strange with your words that Bitcoin has no guarantee of the trend going as expected even though it has come this long with the same trend.

My believe is that Bitcoin is facing some downtrend but will recover soon; I don't know about the halving people are talking about so I can't join others to predict the price, but the future of Bitcoin is bright and straightforward.
1047  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: July 26, 2023, 02:16:42 PM
Moving abroad to a strange land is not something that easy and not everyone that made it abroad end up having the kind of life he imagined in mind to what could be referred to as a greener pasture. For some it even gets worsen when they finally travelled abroad as they may not have a good paid job or have to work themselves 4x more just to make a good pay for the week and end up having bills taking up 50% of it. If I could afford the necessary amount of money that can take me to go live abroad I'll prefer using that money to think of a good business investment to direct that money into cause in my country currency such amount to use in traveling will be running into millions. In this present day economic crisis no country has it better and cool anyway.

Don't overthinking yourself for you already have a good financial tool at hand "bitcoin", which is the new digital gold now. Plan on how to accumulatively invest in it periodically before your retirement time by then you must have made good ROI profit that you can use to establish yourself in some other lucrative business. Traveling abroad doesn't guarantee a save haven for all that does. @op think about it.
It's crucial to understand that you are going to a new environment, one that will take some getting used to. For this reason, it's best to always think carefully and make sure you have something concrete to do there before considering moving.

Because there are problems everywhere, it is best to discover a solution on your own rather than leaving the county in search of another, greener pasture. However, some people do get lucky and make it through that process, while others regret the decision if not adequately planned for.
1048  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Spreading bitcoin awareness; Your personal security matters first on: July 24, 2023, 05:04:54 PM
So before spreading bitcoin awareness, first of all take care of your own security First. If you can then leave the advocacy for that period. Bitcoin Uniqness will surely pave way for itself like it has been doing through the years.
It will be risky to share Bitcoin awareness publicly in some countries where Bitcoin is not accepted by the government; however, it will be beneficial if the awareness is done in such a way that the teachers' privacy is protected to avoid government arrest for spreading what the country prohibits.
1049  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies Use this Tip to Avoid Getting Banned on the Forum on: July 24, 2023, 04:52:11 PM
The free Plagiarism checker I use the most is 1text.com
More sites like 1text.com and Quilbot.com can also be used to check for plagiarism, and they are free for certain stages but require an upgrade when requesting premium service.

Do we actually need all these?
A good piece of content generated from one's own thinking should have nothing to do with plagiarism, unless you copy some part and think it may not show up on the websites you are checking. Meanwhile,  there are other plagiarism checkers that are perfect and can expose such minor plagiarisms.
1050  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Impact of Bitcointalk forum in our lives on: July 23, 2023, 03:48:30 PM
Due to the forum's extensive sections, I still haven't read through everything, but I'm still learning a lot about Bitcoin for free.

Since some of these news outlets do lie and propagate FUD, I now view this forum as the best location to confirm any news about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.
1051  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Which app would you recommend for crypto news? on: July 22, 2023, 01:28:22 PM
I am not familiar with all the platforms you mentioned, I do use some Telegram channels like cointelegraph, coindesk, bitcoin.com news, and lots more toget my updates and news about some crypto news.
1052  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Where to invest 7k usdt on: July 13, 2023, 09:58:36 AM
Where to invest 7k usdt

To get profit daily 30$
Did you think anyone here can guarantee you a profit in Bitcoin or cryptocurrency investment because of the market volatility.

You can have a glance at This to get more knowledge about Bitcoin, wallets and some guides on how to safeguard you Bitcoin, then you invest the money and wait for long term for high profits.
1053  Economy / Exchanges / Re: You are probably paying more to get your Bitcoin on: July 12, 2023, 08:42:01 PM

Go on popular exchnages yourself and buy your Bitcoin and withdraw back into your wallet, a little drop of water makes a mighty ocean, stop getting those crypto wallet companies rich.

They are Banks in disguise.
Going to exchanges like Binance may be advantageous due to low transaction fees, yet the most important thing to think about is your privacy.

Before Binance will permit you to purchase Bitcoin and send it out from the exchange, you must complete KYC verification, which entails providing details about your identity. Simply said, this means that even though they claimed the data was secure, they can manipulate it. You should never trust anyone with your personal information since anyone may use it to blackmail you in exchange for money.
1054  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance existing Deposit Addresses to Be Retired in Q3 (July - September 2023) on: July 11, 2023, 09:20:31 PM
What is the main aim and benefit of changing users deposit address?
Is it for more security of the users fund or to prevent the address from being compromised?
1055  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Factors that make Bitcoin determine price of other cryptocurrencies on: July 08, 2023, 07:18:48 AM

I am aware that the value of other coins is affected by the price of bitcoin, which is the first and most well-known cryptocurrency. How and why various cryptocurrencies respond to variations in the price of bitcoin baffles me.
I need clarification on this, kindly.

Bitcoin is the first version cryptocurrency coin that altcoins refer to. Bitcoin is like the leader who leads the entire market while altcoins follow the lead, which is why it has the highest market cap and trading volume. Altcoins are centralized, whereas Bitcoin is completely decentralized.
1056  Economy / Economics / Re: What's is daily budgets or expenses as a bitcoiner? on: July 08, 2023, 07:03:36 AM
I know everybody is not in a same class but still we all do budgeting, expenses and impulse. How much do spend a day? Do you think is possible to program your daily expenses?
Your revenue source determines how much you spend each day. Not only bitcoiners, but everyone, there are those people who budget exactly what they will spend regardless of what they make daily, weekly, or even monthly, while others simply spend as they see fit.
I personally have a daily budget, however there are occasions when the plan doesn't work because of unforeseen circumstances.
1057  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Withdraw your funds from Gate.io on: June 27, 2023, 07:35:31 PM
Last year Gate.io received a couple of million dollars worth of ETH from Crypto.com
Then Crypto.com claims they are supposed to send it to their cold wallet once exposed to transfer the reserves.
But they send it to gate.io by mistake. Do you believe this?
I won't be surprised if Crypto.com has contacts with the exchange because they back scammers and promote misinformation that causes FUD among Bitcoin enthusiasts. I don't trust centralized exchanges since they are all guilty of wrongdoing in some way but choose to conceal it in order to maintain their reputation.
1058  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Bitcoin Is Not Male Dominated on: June 12, 2023, 08:33:11 PM
I do come across some threads created by female forum users and some, and when going round the forum, some usernames looks like a female name which signifies that female genders are not exempted in Bitcoin
1059  Economy / Exchanges / Nigerian SEC declare Ban on Binance Exchange activities. on: June 10, 2023, 09:27:28 AM
Binance Exchange is facing another challenge as the Nigerian SEC declared Binance Exchange service activities illegal, claiming that
Quote
Binance Nigeria Limited is neither registered nor regulated by the Commission and its operations in Nigeria are therefore illegal. Any member of the investing public dealing with the entity is doing so at his/her own risk
The SEC is currently advising Nigerians to avoid making any purchases of crypto assets on the exchange.
What do you think about this?
Are Binance users secure worldwide? Or will these restrictions and the ban on Binance activity spread globally?

This is onr of the effects of leaving our bitcoin on centralized exchanges.

1060  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some possible ways to avoid phishing attacks and scams on: June 08, 2023, 12:09:50 PM

By the way OP your post seems like Ai generated, and writing with AI does not look good on this forum.
You can verify it if there is a way to do so.
This is not an AI-generated article; rather, it is an effort on my part to educate my fellow forum users.

The bitcoin network is made already private for us to independently make use the the p2p network without going through any third party interference, but most users lack the understanding that they can be able to achieve this all alone, when we take the security and privacy of our bitcoin very well, no one will be able to intrude us not to talk of attacking our asset or investment, these are few safety control measures we should ensure to give cognitive attention.
The purpose of this post is to provide advice on how to avoid phishing to other newbies. Some users have offered additional tips because mine were limited in scope and I learned from the responses I received.
I haven't mentioned the Bitcoin network or privacy at all; all I've said is to stay away from downloading Bitcoin wallet from any source other than their official platforms to avoid malware and fraud.
