1041  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Reasons why traders fail in Forex on: December 26, 2019, 04:59:36 PM
There are numerous reasons why the vast majority of traders lose money, but if I had to generalise them they are related to discipline and emotions. People tend to think that trading is easy, but after they get a little bit experience in it they realise it is quite the opposite - you need to acquire a powerful skill set.
1042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My sport betting journal. Build a 5 figure with a modest bankroll on: December 26, 2019, 04:18:50 PM
I am yet to see a profitable sports bettor on the long term. As far as I know the odds are made in such a way that the sportsbooker has an edge over the bettors like on the casino games. I still don't know why would a profitable trader or sports bettor share its winnings on a forum.
1043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Do You Make Money With Bitcoin? on: December 26, 2019, 04:02:58 PM
In my opinion BTC should be viewed, first of all, as a store-of-value as it proven itself to apprrciate over time. The halvening is approaching rapidly so that is another factor that will impact the price probably positively. Trading is one of the hardest endeavours in the world and it's very risky if you don't know the craft well.
1044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10 Best performing cryptos of 2019,what have you played? on: December 25, 2019, 05:53:21 PM
I think LINK and RVN should also be in that list. They had a pretty good year as well in terms of volatility. My take on this market is that the ones who know how to profit from these swings in prices can accumulate a lot of cheap altcoins for the next bull market cycle. I'm very excited about the years to come not just for Bitcoin which I think will reach unforeseen heights, but altcoins as well which might have even bigger potential than BTC just because they got beaten to the ground by the bears.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins or Utility Tokens? on: December 25, 2019, 05:42:31 PM
There are some quality security tokens out there, but in regards of utility tokens I am yet to see a sustainable token ecosystem that supports its value. There were a lot of projects built upon Ethereum, but I'm sure that most of its value is speculative. To answer your question I don't have a preference between the two options. When I look for a potentially valuable I look at its intrinsic value no matter by what is that given - asset-backed, utility, means of exchange.
1046  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is your thought about halving? on: December 25, 2019, 01:52:57 PM
Once the halvening happens the sell pressure will be theoretically cut in half logically as the mining rewards will be halvened and the breakeven price for mining operations will likely rise considerably. Think about this way - a market is composed by buyers and sellers. At any moment in time when there is an imbalance of buyers and sellers in the market the price moves - either upside when the bulls make money or downside, case in which the bears are the winners. Miners need to sell some or all their production to at least cover a part of their operation costs. Once the cashflow from mining can't cover those costs anymore the logical choice is to pull the plug on the gears and stop paying for electricity and associated costs to protect themselves.

If they have a lot of financial power to cover their operation costs with cash they can save the mined BTC to sell at least at the breakeven price, thus withdrawing some sell pressure from the market. Or they can acquire more powerful gear and reduce the costs. Either way the halvening should have a fundamentally strong impact on the market even if it is not going to be seen from the get-go.
1047  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin as a global reserve currency? on: December 24, 2019, 04:35:28 PM
I believe that Bitcoin is the perfect candidate for the global reserve currency or better said for a universal accepted currency in all countries of the world as it is decentralized and the supply is so limited. In my opinion in the event of this happening the Bitcoin price will have already touched incredible "heights" sort to say. And by incredible I'm referring to millions of dolllars/unit, but at that moment I suppose we won't value things based on dollars or any fiat currencies anymore.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Millennials Are Netflix And Hodling on: December 24, 2019, 01:36:05 PM
I am a boomer and one of The generation X, so I think people in my generation who are more forward-thinking and risk-takers are very passionate about Bitcoin and the technological breakthroughs it has unleashed. If boomers like me get more involved, because we have suffered a lot and seen a lot, recession after recession, we also have more patience and staying power, which is what the Millenials can learn from us oldies. I have seen so many younglings come and go in Crypto because they never became rich in the first year, or they lost their money as fast as they made it. I got wiped out in the bear market, but learned from my mistakes and am doing my Bitcoin and Crypto 2.0 accumulation plan. We can all work together, young and old to change the economic climate in this time and I believe this is a pivotal part of our evolutionary history and I want to be a part of the generation that actually did something to better the world for future generations to come. I roped my dad also into Crypto and he is over 80, so we can get older people in, just need to educate them. So, if all you whales out there want to give your mother an Xmas gift, go open her a Bitcoin wallet and teach her how to use it, how to buy and sell Bitcoin or other coins and how to use them to buy and save. Grin Cheesy

I agree with you here. We should learn something from each generation as some have experience and knowledge while the younger ones are more fast-paced sort to say and maybe more impulsive. There are not many people from generation X like you who got into the cryptocurrency sphere. Statistically millenials are much more open-minded to new stuff. Most people I know in the 40s-50s have a more conservative mindset.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitmex Research Reveals That investors have lost about 98% Investment in IEOs. on: December 23, 2019, 05:15:23 PM
I have never participated in IEOs because most of them are trying to raise huge amounts while the token value and the neccessities of development are dramatically lower. Take an example - Stratis managed to develop smart contracts, sidechains, STO and ICO platform + a blockchain made entirely from Bitcoin code written in C#(or C++ I don't remember exactly) with a raised amount of around $500k. Other projects raise millions and don't achieve a fraction of what these guys did. So my personal conclusion is it isn't worth investing in IEOs.
1050  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has gone up the past week. on: December 23, 2019, 04:37:20 PM
It has gone up around $800, do you think they could run it up and then I would come down before January 1 before the new year. Or they will not come in to play?  I’m waiting for some money to clear to buy some. And I don’t know right now is the best time to buy

It depends.. are you a long-term investor and believer in Bitcoin and you're willing to invest for the long-term? Then it wouldn't matter if you invest at $7000 or $8000 as you I suppose you have a belief that BTC will reach one of those so called "crazy" numbers aka $100,000- $1M.

If you just want to profit from short-term price gains then you need to learn how to interpret market information by learning technical analysis. Wink
1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Can I pay in Bitcoin here?" - go and ask this each time you pay something! on: December 23, 2019, 04:03:39 PM
Once we start the New Year I propose myself to do this at least once in every store I get in. This is exactly how we can create adoption by the law of demand. If there is demand there should be offer. Wink
Once the store managers would find out about the demand of the customers to pay in Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies they will certainly look into ways to accept that method of payment - no doubt about that, but we need enough people to do this.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Price Trend Reversal in Progress? on: December 23, 2019, 11:39:55 AM
We had a strong weekly close indeed, but the volume is not there yet. I won't turn full on bullish until we don't pass the $9500 and if I want to be more aggresive until we don't have a break on the weekly timeframe of the $11500 mark. However we need to go step-by-step the next resistance being just next to us at ~$7800.

1054  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Review 2019: Five milestones in US blockchain industry regulation on: December 22, 2019, 05:38:21 PM
US indeed is trying to introduce harsher measures in crypto field and we have seen some significant changes in 2019. IRS has also designed a new tax form for individuals to declare the crypto holding of their citizens! But it is always better to have something than nothing! Majority of the nations don't have any regulations around cryptos and many other have banned it! At least it's not banned in US and people are still able to function!

Looks like they're trying to keep a close eye on the use and expansion of cryptocurrencies in the States. I'd say that they are afraid of the fast development of Bitcoin and overall the decentralization offered by the adiacent technologies. Otherwise why have tax payers declare them? I'm not familiar with the law in the USA though - is each citizen obligated to declare his entire wealth?

Your website is not working at least for me. I clicked the link in the OP and I get this error: "This site can’t be reached marketingkits.casinoadrenaline.com’s server IP address could not be found."
Something wrong with your server or something is broken on my side?
1056  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am meeting with an attorney, have you been damaged by wash trading on binance? on: December 22, 2019, 01:29:59 PM

Time wasted through fake trends ruining professional trading.  Wasted time and money through commission on trades that don't work.  Causing terrorism and physical damage including stress from constant harassment in the market.  Getting "hit" by large sells because the buys try to convince you that sells are the enemy.

People have committed suicide over this.  It's time to stop messing around.

That's very true. The psychological damage that one can suffer from trading in the markets shouldn't be underestimated. Mostly due to this aspect of trading - this endeavour has proven to be one of the most hard things to master and become proficient at. You see.. many people know technical analysis and many do know some kind of risk management principles, but the thing that links these two skills is the ability to control/manage our psychic, mind and emotions.
1057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am meeting with an attorney, have you been damaged by wash trading on binance? on: December 22, 2019, 12:01:48 PM
Like @odolvlobo said - without some hard, serious evidence you can't do anything especially against someone with such big financial power(talking about Binance). My advice to you is not to see the price movements as wash trading, manipulation or anything like that. When prices move it is simply an imbalance between buyers and sellers. Don't waste your money on a lawsuit unless you have that evidence, your frustration will just grow. Instead you should change your perspective over the market. Just my 2 cents..
1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 21, 2019, 05:36:52 PM
Manchester City vs. Leicester is definitely the match to watch today. Grab your chips, popcorn, nachos, whatever you like and enjoy the quality football. It is going to be a very interesting game taking into account that their rankings are so close in the Premier League. Not only that, but Leicester needs to win this game if they wanna stay close to Liverpool which is gaining distance from the runner-ups. The H2H matches are very tight so I can't really make any inferences on that. Leicester is in a very good form, but they are playing in departure so I'm afraid to place a bet on them so I think I'll go for an UNDER 3.5 GOALS on this one. Enjoy the night, boys!

P.S. Don't forget the beer.  Grin
1059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 10 (Celebrating the 10th Week!) on: December 21, 2019, 05:25:59 PM
For me winning a jackpot is like receiving money from the sky so I wouldn't feel too attached to those winnings. Of course that I would keep a part to treat my family and myself with something better in the holidays, but if there was a dramatic case that would have better use of my winnings than myself I would give them out on a blink of the eye especially with the Christmas around the corner. I don't put much value on money, but on the things and experiences I can achieve with it.

I try to be generous with people around me the whole year, not just for Christmas and holidays. However I can't just giveaway my income to every street beggar, but when a social case or disaster really impresses me I'll do my best to help out.

I like your "What If" challenges - if I can name them like that - very much, they really challenge my inner part to contemplate on those situations and I get to know myself better. Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and I hope you will continue with this series in 2020!
1060  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: New price comparison site for Bitcoin & Crypto on: December 21, 2019, 04:51:54 PM
I have checked your website and I can see that you've put some work in the user interface design, but what I don't understand is why you haven't included the Bitcoin price (for example) in each exchange tab when comparing several exchanges... I mean it is nice to see a comparison about the exchange origin, quality, etc. all in one place, but it is a big downturn that you haven't introduced the price which is the most important for buyers/investors. It shouldn't be hard to implement this, just some API calls and it shall all be alright.
