1041  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: July 19, 2020, 03:41:08 AM
Bitcoin and cryptocurrency are very good for easy money making Bitcoin is very helpful in improving the economy of a good country but it is not right to be completely dependent on it because crypto market is not stable. One of the disadvantages of this is that if for some reason the transaction becomes incomplete there is no way to get the money back even if the recipient does not get that service If the Bitcoin wallet is lost or damaged it cannot be recovered Bitcoin as a medium of exchange is not at all stable For this you need to have the skills of crypto as well as other sites.

I do agree that Bitcoin shouldn't be our source of income since it is really undependable.

The problem though from what you've said is that Bitcoin is helpful to improve the economy of a country, I don't think so. Usually, the government are not getting taxes from it so I don't know how the country benefits from it. Another thing is that it might give profits to people but I don't think it is enough to say that it can help the country.
1042  Economy / Economics / Re: Economy after COVID-19 on: July 19, 2020, 03:00:40 AM
Covid-19 Completely Crashed World Economy there is no doubt but & it's it won't be recover soon.Mostly will suffer 3rd world developing country. So there need little bit help from rich country.  Hopefully all ends up well for everyone.

The problem though is that these rich countries are affected as well.

Also, don't forget that there are some 3rd world countries that flattened the curve in their country and already making plans or moves to regain their economy. Vietnam did well with the pandemic and they are already accepting tourists, they managed well the pandemic and that is really amazing.

I am very positive that we will recover from this pandemic. As the effect is global, all of us are affected by this situation but just like any other pandemic that hit humanity before, we will rise from this situation. We always will. Just give it time, and soon we will get back on our feet. For now, just do what you can do at home to keep afloat in this crisis.

I hope we will as fast as we can.

The people in our country are starting hate the government officials for the mistakes they've made and some of them are even blaming the people for criticizing them. I hope the government and the people could hold hands to solve this matter. That would really make this faster.
1043  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Russian Central Bank Admits It Can’t Ban Bitcoin on: July 18, 2020, 10:46:51 AM
It's obvious that bitcoin has become very successful and has helped many and it's still growing, the Russian government must have seen the importance of Bitcoin so there can't afford to ban Bitcoin, Even if there ban Bitcoin in Russia, thier citizen will still have access to own bitcoin.

Or maybe they can't ban it literally.

Bitcoin is decentralized and no one really controls it taht is why even if they ban exchanges and other platforms accepting Bitcoin, people would still access their wallets, transact to other people in another country. As you said, maybe they might look at it as a way to get more tax that their country can use for the development of it.
1044  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Lesson plans about Bitcoin achieved on: July 18, 2020, 09:52:23 AM
That is amazing.

I don't know how you would be doing this but the thought of it is just amazing. Introducing the forum could give them a lot of information and knowledge about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as well. I hope you could teach them also how to secure, how to earn them since usually it is the question being asked by people.
1045  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is based on probability. on: July 18, 2020, 08:54:29 AM
Not believing this is the reason why many traders still fall in the hands of all this scammers selling trading signals, nobody can say precisely what the market will look like each day, everybody is just gambling as nobody have power to change nor modify the market.

It is not gambling, it is the risk they are taking.

This market is unpredictable and volatile, obviously people would not know what will happen but that is where the probability comes in. People actually look into the marker changes and look for indicators where it can show the probability of having a bull run or the opposite. Again, they are taking the risk, gambling usually hold unto luck while trading and investment hold unto skill, knowledge and patience.
1046  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is good amount to start day trading is 100$ enough?? on: July 18, 2020, 08:17:45 AM
...
I want to make it clear beforehand that capital is priority number 3...
the first priority that you must have is the skill/basic knowledge about trading and the second is the mentality that must be prepared with the possibility of loss that will occur in the future. if you already have the thing I mentioned, with capital only $ 20 you can make a big profit.

I do agree about the priority but I don't think that is enough to give you a profit.

Even professional investors or traders can lose, what they can do is just lessen the risk they are taking but then again, skill/knowledge and strong mentality can't always mean a big profit. Loss is inevitable in trading especially if you will be taking the market of cryptocurrencies that is so volatile and unpredictable.
1047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 18, 2020, 04:00:28 AM
So how big really we are now in online gambling? I think the answer is clear. It is really huge now probably due to pandemic where gambler chose online gambling for now?

well of course when more and more people stay silent at home then more people will try to do activities at home and try to find information to get money so that they will search like a casino and other gambling venues to be the right choice to multiply money with easy.

easy money huh ? its easy to think that you can earn and double your capital but that is if when you havent started playing it but by the time your playing the game your expectations and experience suddenly becomes different  . i cant say gambling is easy money but the involvement for online gambling now that we are staying at home most of the time did grew alot   . its not about people engage in gambling for easy money but they are also bored and wants to have fun   .

I think what he means about being easy is that it doesn't really require you to be tired at all.

You will just sit on a table and rely on luck but we all know that the possibility of winning is not always on our side. Most of the time we lose against the house that is why people are actually speaking against gambling. With a lot of people actually gambling online, I guess they really think it is that easy to earn money from it.
1048  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 18, 2020, 02:17:46 AM
Mike Conley is not anymore on his prime and his contract will soon expire, hopefully that will open up a cap for the young Jazz players like Clarkson.
Playoff time soon, Mike Conley has a great experience so hopefully he can help his team with that.

I remember Mike Conley as the best point guard in Memphis. It's just sad they haven't reached the NBA finals when they made an upset against the OKC in 2013 NBA 2nd round playoffs. I think he's a perfect compliment with Marc Gasol. After their tandem in Memphis, he seems lost and cannot find his rhythm.
Conley is a veteran point guard, So I agree with you that he can help his teammates with his experience.

I am now impressed by Ja Morant in grizzlies. His bestial aggression in the game is something. I hope he will get the "rookie of the year" and not Zion.

Zion is really impressive and live with the hype, Ja Morant is also impressive.

Zion played well in the remaining season but he played the least games compared to games played by Ja Morant. He also gave some impact stating Zion is not the only one we should look forward to. IMO, Ja Morant would be the rookie of the year.
1049  Economy / Economics / Re: How long will it take banks to phase out physical cash completely? on: July 18, 2020, 01:35:34 AM
I think it would take some time, still a lot of years, IMO.

As there are countries that are technologically advanced, there are those that isn't. Some countries might apply this but there will always be a part of that country that will not adapt that so quickly. The same with countries that are having a hard time making their transactions online.

Also, there are those people that are not computer illiterate, I guess millenials will be the first ones to completely use digital transactions in the future.

1051  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: They say hardware wallets are the safest on: July 18, 2020, 12:17:14 AM
Hardware wallet has the capacity to generate the private keys offline while others can't do for security purpose. This wallet is the best anyone can have to store up their holdings, either on a short-term or on a long-term purpose. Currently, am using this same wallet because its saves me the stress from watching over my holdings every time I heard about a breach of security on exchanges.
Though, other wallets are good for use only if the holdings won't be more than 1bitcoin.

If we will be talking about the safest wallet, no doubt it will be the cold storage or the hardware wallets.

A lot of hacks happened with a lot of hot storages and I don't know why they never learn to save them in a storage not connected to the internet. As I always says it, the flaw of the most secure and safest wallet is its users since they are the one taking care of it. Hardware wallets dont have their own thought of taking care of itself.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Oldest scam in the book can help you make money on: July 17, 2020, 12:36:30 PM
I don't know but I have a lot of bands I look up to but I don't go to that lengths of giving them money.

They are artists, celebrities, content creators and they have money to support what they do and obviously they are paid to do that too. If they posted that I would be in the middle of my thought of either they are that desperate to help or so desperate to earn money. Mr. Beast, one of the biggest Youtubers fell for this hack too and a lot of people are scammed.
1053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Old grandmas funds to pump bitcoin? on: July 17, 2020, 11:19:15 AM
Then most of them might just dump those retirement Bitcoins, right?

Most of them usually just save them, some use them for other stuffs like investing in some businesses or maybe what the agency wanted to. I mean, I don't know. If this happens I guess the community will be adding more holders in the process.
1054  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: July 17, 2020, 09:42:00 AM
It really can't stop the NBA from reopening. I'm sure even my son is excited to watch his favorite sport on TV again. He has something else to focus on besides playing mobile games. Yes, we will admit that the risks will not be lost due to the virus, but the organizers will not allow that as long as they follow the protocols and no ordinance will be violated. Maybe my son can help guess which team will win the match.

How about the new carriers within the NBA?

It is said that Westbrook and Harden tested positive for the virus? Will they be able to play? I mean I don't think the teams would be accepting to play if one of their star players have the virus and can't play.

not really sure, I think they have to rest for some time, they also have to test negative for a few times for them to be covid free. It wasn't really that safe cause there are people who are covid free but got reinfected again. So it wasn't really that safe for me... not to discriminate but I'm sure some players wasn't really that comfortable with them playing if they are tested positive just recently.

Yeah, that is what I want to point out.

I really wanted the season to continue, that is why I am so happy when I heard they will resume it but the problem is this. Not just because they can't play but this can affect the results of the continuation of this season. Another thing is that they are still at risk. I think they will be limiting the players and just chose the safe ones.

This is just messed up. If they really continue the season, I think this is a gamble for them. I hope they are just fine.

1056  Other / Off-topic / Re: Networking investments scams goes innovative using cryptocurrency. on: July 17, 2020, 04:31:31 AM
Cryptocurrencies are not the reason of it.

There are a lot of scams going on even before cryptocurrencies was created. Those scams are also innovating as people get familiar with their moves and what they say. Then they developed it more with the use of the internet and then cryptocurrencies came. Scammers are getting innovative, that is for sure but that is not because of the cryptos but because they want more people to scam and get more money with new scams.

If they will repeatedly use the same method, they won't be taking any money from it.
1057  Economy / Economics / Re: Can we rely on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency? on: July 15, 2020, 10:37:06 AM
We can't really rely on bitcoin right now. It is a speculative asset and it is not that giving a good profit lately as it is stagnant these days. Though it gave people a lot of profit in the long run, it is not really reliable and dependable so better chose another way to earn a profit, take note that you need a reliable and dependable source of income these days.

FlightyPouch I think the answer here depends on what to rely on here. For us who doesn't have enough we can't rely to live
from our crypto-income, but there are people who are earn a lot in crypto-currencies, they can sell parts and still have a good life,
and savings in crypto-currencies.
I don't rely on crypto-currencies now, I invest and hold them. On what I rely on is that crypto-currencies will change the economy
we know, and all who have them will have benefits from getting in early stages.

You are saying that these people with a lot of cryptocurrencies are actually selling them to earn money?

That just means they are making Bitcoin and their other crypto investments as a source of income by selling them everyday to provide for their family? Not all of those people are actually selling their holdings since they can provide without them. They don't rely in cryptocurrencies, for sure they have jobs they can rely on.

Another proof they are not selling them is the fact that they are surely holding it and plan to sell it for a good price in the near future.
1058  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does the police do if they seize bitcoin from criminals? on: July 15, 2020, 08:46:23 AM
They do an auction and sell them. Selling through auction is the most logical option. In my local, if police seize any vehicles like motor bike or cars and if the owner don't claim their vehicle, later, authority sold them through auction.

I don't know here in our province but I saw something different.

At that time I was applying for a driver's license when I saw motorcycles full of rusts and decaying on the other side of an office. I think those motorcycles are caught without proper requirements and they are waiting for the owners to pay it that is why they are just there rusting away.

Maybe the idea of auctioning it is not an idea for them at that time.
1059  Local / India / Re: Cashaa hacked. 336 BTC Stolen. on: July 15, 2020, 07:14:03 AM
With that huge amount of Bitcoins, they still can't afford a hardware wallet?

I'm wondering the same thing but here are the possible reasons I can think of: 1) They are new to this business (they are established on 2019) so their knowledge and management is not yet mature as the other big companies. However, this is not a valid excuse becuause you supposed to know the business, from the chances of best or worst case scenario, before entering. 2) They are complacent, thinking "What could possibly go wrong?".

Nevertheless, it's their own fault. They can't blame anyone even the hackers bacause being bad is in their nature already. How sad that the least thing they can do is to make their excahge bullet proof but they fail to do so Sad.

That is so true.

They should really blame theirselves. They should know better since they are an exchange and they are holding lots and lots of Bitcoins in their hands. I don't know why they stick to holding it in a hot wallet, maybe they have their purposes but still, they should start using cold storage.

This is a lesson of the past for a lot of exchanges but they did not learn from it.
1060  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: trade & investment is getting harder and harder. on: July 15, 2020, 05:38:45 AM
Trade and investment like what you do because if you continue to trade then at least you can realize where the mistakes are to be corrected and also, in trading you don't always have to chase for big profits because obviously it will be difficult to obtain and also, how long your investment has been carried out because for medium-term investments it is of course difficult for you to get good returns because even greater sacrifices must be made like long-term investments.

You have made a nice point that chasing big profit can cause losses but whether big, small or medium accounts, you can make profit if risks are minimize. Although smaller accounts can be difficult to build.

That is why we say it is better to get a profit than having ko profits at all.

Despite the hardships with the market we have, we should always push through since mistakes and losses are inevitable, minimizing risks can be really helpful for you to continue trading and investing. People should learn to minimize risks and don't mind getting less profits, you might never notice it but it would be bigger as time passes.
