1041  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto is a scam on: December 24, 2023, 09:32:28 AM
The whole point of crypto was to make the process even the gap between rich and poor unfortunately it is doing the opposite quite sad to see
Fiat currencies have their own problems - Bitcoin was created to solve those problems. It was never meant to solve the rich-poor divide.

Crypto is not a silver bullet to poverty. It is money and it is going to more in the hands of those who already have money or in other words the rich will remain rich and the poor will remain poor. To solution to poverty is a different topic of discussion. But to solve cenorship, centralization - bitcoin is your go-to currency.

If you think that owning crypto will turn you from poor to rich, you are mistaken.
1042  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: AI x Crypto on: December 24, 2023, 09:28:35 AM
A buddy of mine has been using an arbitrage algorithm w/ the help of AI and his coding experience that does all of the trading automatically and very quickly to generate small profits here and there. It works pretty good! I have seen it in action and its impressive. He did something similar to this where he did an instagram algo
That sounds nice but I doubt how far it can go. When it comes to trading there is a group of users who are drooling over algorithms to automate their trading and hoping that such techniques can fetch them constant profits that overtime can accumulate to a big earning monthly. But this is rarely the case, the market runs on it own self, it does not depend on any prediction from our side nor its own charts. We can only make a 50-50 prediction and hence they lose more than they can make.

So for trading I would rather keep it safe with long term trading and not letting my money on a machine learning algorithm.
1043  Local / India / Re: Beware of fake trading apps! on: December 23, 2023, 10:32:24 AM
The majority of scams happening in Indian market are people getting cold calls from scammers asking them to invest in something that can double their money. They are getting greedy and taking the step, which could have been prevented by their own actions.

If a little bit of awareness is spread and the habit of believing everything someone tells you is reduced, these type of scams can be controlled. But its difficult in a country like ours where scientific questioning is lacking.
1044  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Signature mixers question on: December 23, 2023, 10:29:23 AM
Taxation systems vary between countries. Where I live there is humongous amount of tax when selling crypto is concerned and the capital gains on that. It is the government's method to discourage people from dealing in crypto but they fail to do so.

At present I am not cashing out much of my campaign earnings but buying gift cards for groceries and all at times.

Mixing coins will continue because people are paranoid about privacy and some people have been stacking coins enough to get big eyes on them. It just the consequence of being rich. For now I dont think any desperate step needs to be taken. Let things go by and see how the US takes care of things, other demoractic countries will follow suit.
1045  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: December 23, 2023, 10:14:27 AM
I see a lot of talks about KYC, defenitely that is something that we all hate and want to be notified of when reading the review before signing up on the site, hence its in my list too.

Additionally a list of restricted countries might be helpful for many of us plebs.

I personally would like a ticker for Investment option - like whether the casino is giving an option for people to invest in their bankroll - sites that do that are freebitco.in, Bustabit, Bitvest, Moneypot and so on.
1046  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cfoptionnetwork - Ponzi scheme on: December 22, 2023, 03:21:51 PM
I still wonder why that board (Investor-based games) exists in this forum. It should be removed and all Ponzi schemes and HYIPs banned in the forum, just like how they decided to ban mixers. Ponzis and HYIPs are simply money grab schemes that should have no place in this forum. Is this too much to ask from the admins?  Cheesy
Yo, the logic here is that we can keep the Ponzis in a specific section which we can all "unofficially" know as the "scammers trash bin" and ignore them and call them out to red flag them. If the section did not exist, then these whackos would be roaming the entire forum spewing their shit and making a mess and fool of themselves.

Hence that section exists. But I have seen that the activity in that section has reduced after introduction of the flag system. They mostly promote on Social Media and IM software nowadays.
1047  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin mining’s comeback in China on: December 22, 2023, 03:18:01 PM
This is impossible both in Russia and in China. When mining is prohibited, you need to immediately negotiate with officials so that they warn about checks or not check. In my experience, without support you can only mine with low power consumption on video cards.
If that is impossible how is Russia still occupying the top charts in the worldwide mining distribution? I dont think the miners break even that much with underground mining that they can pay bribes and keep up with maintenance costs at the same time.

@FP91G always says that Russia is second, but I found charts that contradict this statement.

Maybe fellow Russian miners from this forum can give us an insight on what the real issue here is? I would also love to hear from anyone who has experience of real life mining from China. @Barcode_ help us out please?

I probably still claim it daily, except on weekends that I don't go out. Mobile browser homepage is that, so I don't even think now, just a press and I'm on my way. 5.8 mbtc's my lifetime freeroll winning. I daresay $200+ is a decent return but 0.3 BTC? Unbelievable. Was that a lottery win?
Nope that was what I won from the 200$ win from the site. At that time bitcoin was priced around 600-700$/BTC and hence that amount. The rest amount was the fractional amount I had received from the rest of the rolling of the faucet.

Nowadays, I rarely claim the faucet. And I have never made the target to roll the rare numbers from the hourly faucet. But it is quite surprising for me that I haven't gotten the top 3 reward lucky number from the hourly faucet despite claiming the faucet around 20k times.
Tough luck, nothing you can do about it. I have rolled 20$ a few - maybe three times till date but that 200$ win is the only one worth bragging about.

Quote
BTW, Bitcoin price is in the positive track since last two months. I think Bitcoin price will stay in the range of 45k to 50k at the end of December month. I have placed my bet on that range. Hopefully, Bitcoin will be able to cross the 45k mark within the next few days.
Lets hope your predictions come true, we have some casinos running giveaways for price predictions in the "Games and Rounds" section, in case you are interested.

For a few seconds I was getting an April Fools Deja vu feeling when I saw that OTP field while logging in. I rechecked the date even if I was sure it was not 1st of April.  Grin

So I checked the Meta section and lo and behold, our long requested feature is finally hear, thanks to theymos and PoweGlove for the early Christmas gift.

Got it enabled and I hope everyone else does the same too.

1051  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You lose more when you over trade on: December 21, 2023, 04:37:20 PM
I dont mind the notion of being like a monk. Stay calm till the correct buy/sell price. Seems like a generic advice for any newbie but strong one indeed.

Of course discipline is something I advice every newbie to practice along with dummy trading to grow their skills. With observation you can actually learn how to react to the market in the proper manner and not panic with every movement.

It takes time to develop these skills but its possible, dont give up and go slow without rushing it.
1052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamblers trickily claims they wins the bet while they never did. on: December 21, 2023, 03:58:39 PM
Making up a false scenario to show their own selves to be correct is a type of defense mechanism of the brain against an anxiety provoking situation. Gamblers face the problem of not being able to face the truth like that they lost money due to their own decisions or they are addicted to the game.

However someone might make such statements to gain public emotions, either showing off their winnings to gain referrals under their link or showing off the losses to gain money from kind hearted souls.

So either way, faking it means they are doing it for their own gains.
1053  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 21, 2023, 03:23:02 PM
If you don't mind sharing, how much is your total winnings from the hourly faucet of Freebitco?
I stopped claiming faucet on their site after getting that big win and was on a hiatus from the site. Hence my total faucet winnings are a little bit above that big win amount. Its not much and I occasionally play the free rolls on their site when I can, something around 0.313BTC if I recall correctly.

I am currently earning well from their investment scheme of BTC. Dont target these rare numbers, you will get frustrated. Try your luck but dont get obsessed over them.

Congrats to the HI roller. I am also about the same age on the freebitco but never got the opportunity to roll for a $200 prize.
I am not sure if that qualifies as a high roll, because it takes zero wagering for the free rolls.
1054  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cfoptionnetwork - Ponzi scheme on: December 21, 2023, 03:14:34 PM
Someone claiming to be able to make 70+$/day? May seem plausible but after seeing the rest of their offerings, I am well convinced that the schemes are ponzi and the money if sent is on a one way ticket out of your pocket.

The newbies who might be settling for these investments can make sure that sending the money on these sites and dropping the money in the middle of the ocean has no difference.

Flag supported from my end.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: December 20, 2023, 04:56:21 PM
Predictions in the departmental WA group sounds fun and adding a prize on top of that is what makes it competitive. That is the driving force behind the risk taking attitude and hence gambling. The way to make a game popular is to make it look like you are competing with other people and hence put up a scoreboard system or a community ranking system. That way every player feels that they need to beat the person ahead of them and they will continue to play and remain addicted to the game. It is how the mind works.

It should be fun as long it is kept under control that subscription price is kept reasonable enough with everyone donating the pot.
1056  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Bitcoin mining’s comeback in China on: December 20, 2023, 04:45:04 PM
.. especially since I believe that the laws in China are strictly implemented.
Which is what I have been thinking since the day this thread was first posted. China is well known for its laws and habit of controlling everything that its citizens do. Hence if mining is illegal people would not dare to run it underground. However I am not aware of insider details, I would assume that the people there would be terrified of resuming mining even after a ban is running and think twice before re-starting if the ban if lifted.

Such a news article will make no sense until the ban is actually lifted.
1057  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: December 20, 2023, 04:37:24 PM
Yeah, winning a freebitcoin faucet's top prize is a random event and you need to be too lucky to win it. Personally, I've also never hit 10000 and I'm pretty sure there are users who have been clicking the roll button since 2013 and still haven't managed to win that prize at least once. The funny thing is that $200(in sats) could have easily turned into ~$21k if TheUltraElite had held it until Bitcoin's all-time high in 2021.
Who said anything about selling? Tongue

I havent sold much of my coins yet, maximally less than 0.1BTC if any. I mostly invest my coins in casino bankroll recent or trade with them. Definitely holding them and majority of my campaign earnings too.

We are bitcoin maximalists, selling is a term we are not really familiar with. Grin

But I do agree that my luck was high and being able to hit that number in a course of 5-6 months was super lucky.
1058  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Funds withdrawn from Stake without 2FA. on: December 20, 2023, 04:33:36 PM
Case seems pretty puzzling to me as to how the hacker got access to your account. But we can only do so much as speculate and rule out the common causes. In depth investigation can be done from the Stake's owners side and thus I would advice the OP to PM Stunna and wait for them to respond to the thread.

Hoping Stunna/Mladen/Eddie to respond soon and the case to get resolved. Once again, sorry for the loss.

Side note - maybe dont use casino websites as wallets in future?
1059  Local / India / Re: Future of Indian Economy on: December 19, 2023, 03:38:00 PM
A lot has to do with remittances and a major chunk of money is coming from Indian expats living in the Middle East.
So when are you moving to Dubai mate? Heard the middle east has majority of crypto players living lavish lives there running operations from there and making loads of money everyday including cars and girls Cheesy

Seriously speaking, I would go there just to make the money on a short term basis, send the money over to the family in India and come back to resume work here.
1060  Local / Alt Coins (India) / Re: Do you know about bollycoin? on: December 19, 2023, 03:36:01 PM
I would never recommend anyone to buy NFTs like this.

Let it be about big celebs or bollywood artists, it does not make any difference. NFTs have been the buzz and have gone down the drain to make way for the next buzzword. Buy them at your own risk, I personally would not.

Sadly the OP of this thread has been away for some time. Hope they join us back soon.
