1041  Other / Meta / Re: Did you notice something a little weird? on: January 16, 2024, 01:22:46 AM
Yes, I have also noticed the delay when I sent some merits. After sending the merits if you visit the profile of the user then you can see the merits on that profile on time but it takes time to display the same merit on posts. I think it's not just OP's issue it's a delay on the server side of the forum.

I haven't just noticed it one time but many times and most of the times it takes a few minutes before we can see the merits that we have sent. It's an issue but not an intense one and I think a little bit work is needed to solve this issue of the forum. I hope that PowerGlove might come with a patch to fix the issue if it's a SMF based issue.
1042  Economy / Gambling / Re: "Exploring RITZ Sports Bet: The Future of Decentralized and Centralized Betting on: January 16, 2024, 01:15:50 AM
I think Hybrid casino platform will work the way decentralized or centralized platforms are working for the players but with a hybrid model casino could face some hard times if things doesn't go in a good way. I have never heard about a casino that has that hybrid betting model and it seems like something new in the industry, and I believe it has some potential of growth in the market.

I mostly prefer decentralized casinos as they're working fine for me and for everyone else, but hybrid model also seems like a good option that I might try in future. I'm not sure what is going to be the advantage of the hybrid model based casino over the centralized or decentralized casinos but it sounds like a promising thing to me. I'm optimistic about it and I think it has potential to grow huge if investors also find the idea interesting.
1043  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 16, 2024, 12:56:55 AM
Same I noticed it too but then I thought maybe he was playing at those platforms and therefore he is just telling us. If it was about any affiliate links or affiliate commissions, then for sure he must be putting his affiliate links in the post, which is not the case here. Presenting only the names of the casino, will give no benefit to him and i am also he is not paid to promote these sites.
It isn't really about the affiliate links sometimes a few people have contact with casinos that they will promote their services via their text and that's what came in my mind when I saw the posts of that guy. They make it so real that others think they're sharing their own experience but when you ask for more details they flew away from the scene. Who knows if he's paid by those casinos whose name he's suggesting in his posts, I think he somehow gets some commission from those casinos.

Yes, you're right and the story can also encourage gamblers but could also be the reason why some are addicted. You said it yourself that greedy gamblers will always look for casinos that promise them huge winnings.
If we are talking about sports betting I would easily agree with OP but slot games are mainly based on luck and little knowledge based on the house edge

The addicts may find some hope after reading stories like this but they really can't do anything else other than getting more addicted with belief that they can win the casinos just like the gambler who won that huge jackpot. Yeah, greedy gamblers always try to find the casinos that may earn them good profits but they don't understand the power of luck and believe that they can follow a strategy or they can find loopholes in a casino to win huge profits. The result is always going to be huge losses instead of wins.

I agree with you slot games are totally luck oriented and especially slot games that are offered by online casinos. The main reason is that the casinos do have some house edge in the online world and that's why only someone with a good luck can win on those casinos. I think it's ones luck that makes them win or lose in online casinos, if someone has a good luck then he will win while someone with a weak luck will never win.
1044  Economy / Speculation / Re: Best time to buy Bitcoin is around the time of Bitcoin Halving: April 22, 2024 on: January 16, 2024, 12:30:49 AM
The best time to buy Bitcoin isn't the time of halving, the halving event is the last chance for investors to earn some profits if they invest in Bitcoin. The best time to buy Bitcoin is when it gets huge dips during the long lasting bear market. In the previous bear market the best time to buy Bitcoin was in December 2022 when it was trading below $17k a coin. The ones who invested in Bitcoin during that time have already made 2x profits even before the halving event.

Now the main question is when to buy Bitcoin to have profits. I think in that sense the best time to buy Bitcoin is when someone see a huge dip. Dip buying and DCA strategy has helped so many investors to earn huge profits. If someone follows that pattern of dip buying and DCA method then they will surely make a lot of profit in long term. The halving event is the last opportunity for the investors to buy Bitcoin after that Bitcoin's price will move upward most of the times.
1045  Other / Meta / I heard that this forum used to have advertisements on: January 16, 2024, 12:20:40 AM
I heard in a post a few days ago that this forum used to have paid advertisements but later Theymos decided to stop those advertisements. This question came into my mind so I thought to ask you guys that on which area of the forum those advertisements were displayed.

When were those advertisements stopped and what were the advertisers paying the forum to display their advertisements over here?

I think it was a great decision of Theymos to stop paid advertisements but when those paid advertisements were stopped?

If it's possible and if someone has any of the screenshots of that time then kindly share that as well so we can see how the forum used to look when the advertisements were displayed on the forum.
1046  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: UnknownX | Fast Refund's | VOUCHED | 100+ STORES on: January 15, 2024, 08:02:36 AM
Who has vouched for you? Has someone with credible presence vouched for you or someone  just unknown vouched for you? I haven't heard about your platform before and that's why I won't be trusting some unknown platform without knowing about them. Try to be more transparent if you're running a delivery service basically a refund delivery service, I don't think anyone else will trust you people without knowing that who you people are.
1047  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Whenever ORDI and SATS are pumping we get crazy miner transaction fees... why on: January 15, 2024, 06:58:06 AM
Minting? What is this exactly? You mine for these BRC20 tokens? Aren’t these tokens already in circulation. How does minting BRC20 work exactly?
BRC20 tokens aren't mined like Bitcoin, these tokens are created with a few steps. First the token is simply deployed in a JSON file and then the same JSON file is inscribed to a Satoshi on Bitcoin blockchain. In the JSON file the developer sets the name, the maximum supply of the token, and the limit per mint is also applied in that JSON file. Now the developer deploys this file on Bitcoin network as ordinal inscription.

Consider this inscription as Bitcoin transaction and for it the developer sets a very high fee so it can get confirmed in next block. Now the token is deployed the developer will start minting the values that he added in limit per mint of the deployed file. If I'm not wrong then each mint is also a transaction or you can say an ordinal inscription and it has to be confirmed on Bitcoin blockchain and that's why for each mint the developer usually sets a very high fee to get it confirmed in next block.

That's what I know about the BRC-20 tokens if I have said something which's not correct or missed something then someone should add that extra information via a reply.

1048  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you want to see in casino reviews? on: January 15, 2024, 05:42:13 AM
Personally, I can’t join any casino just based on luck or good UI, promises. I always read multiple reviews from multiple websites and known platforms before making any deposit.
Yes, similarly I won't join a casino just because their UI is good or by looking at their promises. I also read many reviews about a casino that I want to play with for long term. After reading some good reviews I pick the casino and I stick with it for as long as I play.

I try to find reviews of the casinos on this forum instead of relying on the reviews of 3rd party sites, but sometimes I do look for 3rd party sites for the reviews. Some casinos spend money to have honest opinion of the users and they want to improve their sites weak points by reading the suggestions of the reviewers.

Those sites often get more active players because a detail review speaks itself and is one of the best marketing tools for a casino. I wonder how someone trusts a casino without reading some reviews of it or knowing more about it in general. Because I believe depositing money in a unknown casino is close to burning your money.
1049  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about ETF's? Could they help reduce crypto scam rate on: January 15, 2024, 05:35:27 AM
I searched on Google 'where can I learn about bitcoin or how to invest in it', all i saw where different blogs with basic information that would later refer you refer to a company they are Promoting, I didn't even see this forum as one of my search results and it bothers me cause, I know that a lot of people are looking for directions on how to go about bitcoin investment and that knowledge can only be found for free on this forum.
I searched the same on Google search engine and on top I found investopedia's article. If you haven't found that then you should give it a try. That article explains in detail that how to purchase Bitcoin from centralized and decentralized exchanges and also gives insights about storing of Bitcoin.

I know that you can get the best information on this forum but there are some more reliable sites that you can use to gain some information like Investopedia. I know that those sites aren't fully trusted for the reason that they promote the sites that pay them for promotion but for basic understanding those sites will also work for you.
1050  Economy / Gambling / Re: From $17 to $37000!!! Craziest Crypto Win in 2023!!!! on: January 15, 2024, 05:25:35 AM
That's exactly what I believe and I am sure the OP strategy has lured some greedy gamblers into trying the casino, especially the newbies who are always a victim of scam casinos.
Those greedy gamblers always try the casinos that promise them such profits. Although, OP hasn't claimed that everyone can have such profits but only a lucky one got the jack pot in actual. Such stories are shared to encourage the players that if you're lucky enough then you can win big.

The newbie gamblers often look after for casinos to earn a lot of money in short time but they forget that all casinos have their house edge and it's not an easy thing to beat the house edge of the casinos. Even if someone has a pretty hot strategy but his luck isn't good enough then most probably that player will face losses.

1051  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: January 15, 2024, 04:15:48 AM
It's a human nature to be greedy sometimes, but it's a must that you can still think of what should be the right thing do, is it to go beyond your limit or stick to your set plan? If you chose the latter then you're a kind of gambler who never let greed influence you just because you are winning/losing.
Yeah, humans are greedy by nature and that's the main cause of our losses. Sometimes when we are under the influence of greed then our senses somehow stop working properly and that's why be tend to make decisions in hurry in order to earn a lot of money in short time.

There are few exceptional guys or you can say gamblers who know their limits and stick to their plans and strategies. They are quite a few in number but they are the ones who don't really face huge losses even on days when their luck doesn't favor them a lot. It's way better to not win then to lose, and those gamblers choose not to lose first and that's why they are happy in their lives.
1052  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about ETF's? Could they help reduce crypto scam rate on: January 15, 2024, 12:27:44 AM
What do you think about this would it help out or worsen the case, or do you think it would have no effect on the current crypto scam rate?
Of course someone with scamming mentality can take advantage of the situation and tries his/her best to scam the ones who are about to start investing in Bitcoin. Those people aren't aware of ETFs a lot and that's why they will try to know about Bitcoin directly instead of searching for the ETFs and if someone with scamming mentality somehow finds such people then he/she will surely take advantage of them.

But, most of the crypto scams are only taking place because people aren't aware about such scams. They can only be safe from such scams if someone educate them about those scams and promote awareness related to such scams. The ones who might join this forum in search of Bitcoin investment will surely be safe from those scams but the ones who may ask someone's help in purchasing of Bitcoin could be targeted by the scammers.

Bitcoin ETFs can of course be purchased from the legit trading platforms and this the amount of scamming with those will be low as compare to other crypto related scams.
1053  Economy / Services / Re: NON PROFIT PAID TRANSACTION ACCELERATION SERVICE on: January 15, 2024, 12:03:08 AM
After reading the title of your thread I was thinking that why someone would use Non Profit and Paid at the same time then I found that someone might use those words to attract users.

But, when I read your thread then I found that you're someone who isn't owner of a pool or has huge amount of hash power to accelerate the transactions. I think you should remove that "Non Profit" from the title and continue doing your service.

It's in fact a paid service but you might not be charging much for it. I think nothing is wrong in running a service like this as long as you can spend your time to accelerate others transactions by any means.
1054  Economy / Gambling / Re: Which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI? Which others can improve? on: January 14, 2024, 08:17:56 AM
Wanted everyone's opinion about which Casino and Sportsbook have the best UI. What is their best feature and which casino and sportsbook do you like but want to see improvement when it comes to UI or features?
So far the casinos I have visited all had good user interfaces, I haven't found any bugs or slow downs in any of those casinos UI and that's why it's not possible for me to favor one casino and degrade the others. I can say that I have used new casinos and well established casinos and in all of them I found the user interface quite good and responsive.

I may like one casino over the other but not because of UI but because of the features they offer. I mostly use sports betting and that's why I like the casinos that offer sports book, but sometimes I do enjoy the games that casinos offer. In most of the casinos sports book is quite well created and easy to use so that's why I won't name a single casino.

I used to play aviator but I found that game non useful because I have lost a lot in that game. Now, I prefer sports book more than casino games, it's my general preference, but I have found that all casinos have good games with very responsive UI's, I think one should find other features of a casino and should give less importance to its UI.
1055  Other / Meta / Re: Just a common sence. on: January 14, 2024, 08:00:27 AM
how can a profile having a sendable merit that will be of help to some people and you are keeping it wasting it that is not wise, and please trading with merit is going on in this forum.i dnt know if moderator you are aware,i dnt think you are.

If you really want to get merits then first improve yourself and your posting habits. The forum and its members highly like those members who contribute good and helpful information on this forum and if you can be someone who shares good and valuable posts then you'll see the flow of merits without even asking for it.

Don't blame others for merit trading if you have no proof. Most of the members on this forum especially the merit sources tend to send merits to those members who make valuable contributions on the forum. If you can't put value in your own posts then why you blame others?

I can understand your feelings but my friend instead of blaming others why don't you improve your own posting? Don't ever try to take any help from AI generators like ChatGpt because such content is highly disliked on this forum. If you really want to gain merits then either improve your English or post in your local board.
1056  Other / Meta / Re: The effect the mixer ban has had on the forum. on: January 14, 2024, 07:50:03 AM
Did all the posters you mention "defect" from here to there? If they want to post over there as well, good for them, but I'd be very surprised if they stopped posting here.
Most of the members who have moved to that forum are still active on this forum in fact their activity on this forum is way more on this forum than on that forum.

All of the members have to allocate time on daily basis to post on both forums. A good number of users have moved to that forum, however nothing is wrong if the members can allocate more out of their daily time on another forum.

If someone is ready to put more effort on another forum and also has an account on this forum then that should not be a general issue I guess. The managers also shifted to that forum but they're still more active on this forum.

1057  Other / Meta / Re: was gambling board restricted from merits? on: January 13, 2024, 11:33:17 PM
Most merit sources don't like to merit the posts on gambling board, there are only a few merit sources who still merit the posts of the gambling board. I know only one such merit source who send merits to those who make good posts at gambling board.

A very nice member and a merit source The Sceptical Chymist used to send merits to gambling board posts in past but now he has also stopped sending merits to the posts of the gambling board.

I think gambling board gets so many posts on daily basis and that's why it would be pretty hard for the merit sources to send that many merits on a board like that. There are some quality posts that might get some merits but not all posts.

I think a better solution for that board is to have some merit sources who may send merits to the members of that board. But, so far I don't think that anyone is merit source of gambling board or its child boards.
1058  Other / Meta / Re: Dead Bitcointalk Theory on: January 13, 2024, 11:02:45 PM
It seems that bitcointalk is dead or in coma. Most posts are created by bots or people behaving like bots. I don't feel any shed of humanity in bitcointalk left, no empathy almost all posts are gibberish with no meaning at all. Most posts seems forced. I miss the 2011 - 2013 bitcointalk before the signature campaigns era.
Bitcointalk isn't dead or in coma, all of the posts on this forum are created by the humans and if someone creates posts with help of bots or AI then such users get reported in a thread created by Nutildah. If you want empathy then you'll have to be active and make some friends on this forum, you will see the forum is full of such people who care about others.

I think you'll have to be more active on this forum to see that it's way better than most other forums and members of the forum are way more generous than members of other forums. I know that some boards are mostly filled by posts that many people don't like but even those boards have good and valuable posts and threads, all you have to do is to look for such posts.

I have learnt so many things from this forum and whatever I have learned I try to share those to help others. That's what most  members of this forum are doing and the best thing is that other members appreciate you if you really share something useful. The appreciation mostly comes in the form of merits but sometimes they can agree with your opinion by quoting your posts.

This forum is like my second home and I love to spend time here, and I learn from all those people who share valuable information, ideas, speculations, and their opinions. I know that there can be some clashes between members on this forum but can you tell me a place where clashes don't take place? Even in our homes sometimes clashes take place but there's always a way to have a peaceful resolution for such clashes.
1059  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if authorities launch a tax for owning bitcoin? on: January 13, 2024, 10:39:53 PM
Can I transfer the BTC from my current address, to an address that no government can ever link to me?
Yes you can do that but for that you'll have to first download bisq application and swap your Bitcoin with a privacy coin like Monero. Once it's done then you will have to swap Monero back to Bitcoin and create your own personal wallet using a open-source wallet software like Electrum. After that you'll just have to withdraw your new Bitcoin in that wallet and as long as you don't tell anyone about your wallet, the government or anyone else won't be able to link that wallet to you.

I would say a simple way is to move to a country where the citizens don't have to pay tax for Bitcoin holdings. If you can move to a crypto-tax free country then you'll never have to re think about the taxes on Bitcoin. There are some good countries that don't tax the Bitcoin holders like UAE, El Salvador, Switzerland, Singapore, and a few other countries.
1060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [Strategy of Dr.Bitcoin_Strange] BITCOIN'S SELL TO BUY MORE STRATEGY on: January 13, 2024, 10:17:05 PM
I have gone through the whole thread and I believe the strategy that you have presented in your thread is a quite useful and working strategy. That's the strategy which I have been following for quite some time with my own take and it has been profitable for me so far. But, you'll have to understand that we can't really predict with 100% accuracy that what's going to be Bitcoin's ATH in a bull run. I know that most of us have our own speculations and predictions but those aren't 100% correct.

Let's say if most of the people predicted that Bitcoin would reach $120k during this bull run's peak and some of them predicted that it will reach $150k, then it's better to avoid both of those predictions and set 20% less than $120k as your first selling target for 25% of your holdings and 20% less than $150k as your 2nd selling target for other 25% of holdings.

In this case $96K is the price for first target to sell 25% of your holdings and  $120k is the 2nd target to sell 25% of your holdings, I know that Bitcoin has chance to go up to $120k or $150k or even more than that during this bull run but we need to set good selling targets that are highly achievable.

I would also suggest you to never sell all of your Bitcoin holdings even if you're 100% sure that Bitcoin's price can drop after the bull run. I would say only sell 50% of it at maximum and 25% at minimum. That way you won't be without Bitcoin even if in the next bear market Bitcoin's value doesn't drop below $96k.
